girls of NL , it's all good and well for you to av a list of qualities that you desire in a life partner but it goes deeper than just sitting on ur @$$ to come up with a "must have" list .  sad

if you as an individual do not have those same qualities in urself that you desire in a partner then ur just living in a fools paradise b'cos such a man IF & WHEN you find him will never be attracted to you since you are not " bringing anything " to the relationship  undecided

Lol, when I hear it in the movies, it sounds so funny and unrealistic. cheesy They tell the man to leave and he obliges. grin Which kain mumu love be that?  cheesy Ok, let's reverse the roles. A husband tells me as a woman I'll be sleeping on the couch today, and you think I'll oblige? cheesy Leave my bedroom for you? You must be mad. cheesy If you can't stand my presence at the moment in time better take your own legs to the guest room or rather sleep on the couch. cheesy The same goes for the woman issuing the command. cheesy

Romance › Re: Why Can't Men Be Straightforward With Girls? by filani(m): 10:54pm On Jan 27, 2010
Ujujoan:
@ Poster

While I cannot completely disagree with you that most guys are not straightforward anymore, I don't think they are entirely to blame. If only people will realiz that deception, just like survival, is a human attribute. It has nothing to do with being a man or a woman.

Imagine how many broken hearts that would have been saved if women took the time to study their 'chykers', observe them properly and pay attention to little details and their instincts. Instead we get carried away by the 'swagga', the money, and sometimes the innocent looks.

Everybody has an agenda in every relationship and time only will show it. That's why it's a bad move to jump into bed with a guy you barely know. Cos when he walks out, it's not the intimacy that hurts the most, it's the fact that you didn't see it coming . . .
hmm, ur replies r actually becoming more objective since the last time i took you up on another thread  smiley

to ur first statement i totally agree, its not a gender thing , it's a human thing  undecided

to ur second statement ,it's a  result of xperience with some gurls who won't  give guys the time of day unless  they do such, so these guys walk away with the impression that money & swagga is what it takes to win all  gurls over  undecided
Romance › Re: Why Are Most Fine Girls Stupid And Cheap Fcuks? by filani(m): 10:41pm On Jan 22, 2010
This guy reminds me of another female nairalander who is notorious for starting man bashing threads just for kicks (she's dumb like that) , those of us who have been on nairaland for a while know exactly who am talking about .

one of her lastest  threads  attracted so much heat from the guys that the moderators had to close it down ( thank god!! ) smiley . the responses of our girls in this thread is a copy of how pi$$ed off  our guys were in that notorious thread  tongue

Dr.ogaSir while nairaland is a forum where you can air your views and start topics within the rules and regulations laid down ,  there are topics for discussion wit ur clique at a beer parlour  sad and then there are TOPICS to be disscussed in a civilized and mature enviroment grin . the writing is on the wall for you  sir and it reads thus  MENE , MENE , TEKEL (the bible , book of Daniel chp 5:verse 5 ,verse 25 - 27).
Romance › Re: A Lesson About Why Men Don’t Pursue Women by filani(m): 12:50am On Jan 21, 2010
Hmmm, its so easy to get on the gender bashing train isn't it girls but in all fairness the poster didn't help matters with his sweeping statements but i'll get back to  him in a minute.

Ujujoan:
He’s trying to say that 95% of women come very easily and cheaply, so why bother with the 5% who still have a sense of modesty, when in the end, a woman is a woman! undecided

Well, he did say that the 5% who happen to retain their modesty are always a better offer ‘in the long run’ but then they have to be ready for the 95% to get exhausted before they can get the chance of being sought after!

@ Poster . .

Thank you for confirming what I’ve always thought about men. They’ve got no class! They do not know what they want, and they can settle for ANYTHING, just to cut costs!
you talk tough girl, so av got a question for you. can you say to all of nairaland that you as an individual are among that rare 5%  who are ladies in the true sense of the word  , worthy of being ''searched for'' by a quality man because of ur sterling qualities ? did i hear you say a loud  yes?  undecided

if that were true then why did you jump into the man bashing bandwagon describing men as '' having no class '' willing to ''settle for anything to cut costs'' b4 taking the time to truly analyse the posters comments and even more time b4 you posted ur self incriminating reply huh you were so eager to jump on that train with glee that u forgot that this biased reply has made a mess of ur own father who happens to be a card carrying member of the gender you so happilly crucified here   sad
in summary , ur father having no class decided to marry ur mom because since never really knows what he wants ,  he just had to cut costs and the product of that union is YOU   shocked do you see how ignorant & foolish ur reply to the poster has xposed you to be huh

lordbayor,  in your post you made a generalized statement

''Since I’m sure you’re wondering if all men are like that, let me answer the question for you: Yes. All men, at some point in their lives, want what they can get easily and don’t particularly care about the quality of the “merchandise.”

if you could take the time to notice that a rare group of ladies maitain thier integrity despite all odds howcome you were ignorant or just plain blind to the group of men who were raised by quality parents & taught from a tender age to seek out quality ladies rather than the chaff  huh at any point in thier lives !!!
please , please  & please the next time you make such comments indicate that you are strictly speaking your own opinion  YOU DO NOT SPEAK FOR ALL MEN  angry angry angry
Romance › Re: Why Do Most Nigerian Men Have Ugly Head Shapes by filani(m): 10:54pm On Jan 18, 2010
is it now painfully obvious to all of us nairalanders male & female alike that  mama-gee has nothing good to offer at all  huh at a point in time where other nairalanders are trying to put an end to the vicious cycle of name calling , mud slinging , gender bashing  etc  here she comes with another pointless thread to deliberately incite ill feeling amongst us  undecided  what an embarassment to the true ladies of nairaland
hi stereo2
you can let the flatteries of the other posters who have tried to advise you blind you from reality. if it was you chatting with girls on the phone and all that shiit,do u think she would keep you?
open your eyes. my advise is simple: take a hike. summon your courage and move on. that lady is not girlfriend material;she is good to be a friend with benefits, nothing more.

remember,i a m the poosy faka,i have been there done that, gotten a t shirt,a hat,and an underwear.
Bros,  thats the koko right there !!! stereo2 are you listening huh how long are you going to let this girl play you mugu  huh get that dirt off ur shoulder and DUMP this  gurl  now !!!
as far as am concerned she no even worth  '' freind with benefit '' position with stereo2 , he needs to make a clean break with her b4 CNN  officially declares him a MUGU

freecocoa:
U don't have to dump her, dialogue is da key,u guys can work it out.
Did you read his (Stereo2) post upside down  huh he confronted her and she admited to actively flirting with guys !!! and then telling him that B.S  about not really wanting anytin to do with them !  yeah right  angry    , ladies lets not be hipocritical here !!!!
Romance › Re: The Perfect Man (where Is He!) by filani(m): 12:59pm On Jan 16, 2010
Mavenb0x:
@OP: If indeed you find a perfect man, what then will be your role in his life?  huh If you find a 70% guy, the rest of the 30% will come from you and that's why relationships are like a business deal. The guy who is 100% to you, if he exists, will never take you cos he doesn't need you (unless you are also 100% to him? That's like at least one chance in 10,000)  cool
i second that , right on sister !!!  wink

sexyLeamon:
am not a guy so I can't answer your question, but am pretty sure men and women need each others, if not God wouldn't have made woman in the first place.
All good and well , if you as a lady admit that guys and girls actually need each other then maybe you can explain to me why most  girls talk down at guys like god made a mistake in creating the male gender in the first place  huh
Romance › Re: Naija Guys Vs Naija Babes: Who Is Holding Back? by filani(m): 10:15am On Dec 27, 2009
I agree with kenuoyibo , us guys are accused of being untrustworthy by girls but somebody needs to educate them that trust is a two way street, we hold back 100% of our heart because more often than not the girl will just trample on your feelings without remorse, i haven't met a girl who is worth 100% of my heart yet, does such a girl even exist? undecided
Romance › Re: Do We Really Need Women, Seriously? by filani(m): 8:55am On Dec 27, 2009
First we establish the difference between a need and a want for example , I need to breath in oxygen , if i don't i will die from asphyxiation . i may want to get  a girlfriend but if i don't i will not die or suffer any physical or mental consequence of that choice. Now within the context of your quotes my answer is this: NO , WE DO NOT NEED WOMEN ! marriage by nature is an act of choice, as a guy you choose to approach a girl and  you choose to propose marriage to her. We men need to come to a point where we understand that we can have fulfilling lives as singles with our careers , family and close man friends, a woman should be a WANT  not a NEED in that life equation. nothing pains my heart more than seeing all the negative media on men generally portrayed as evil, devious heartbreakers. All my single guys out there, please  you've got to get your priorities right and concentrate on building a life for yourself first before you go out there chasing after these manhating girls and get yourself ripped to shreds verbally and emotionally!
I encourage a response to my post from single female nairalanders.

TV/Movies › Re: What Will A Nigerian Superhero Be Like? by filani(m): 5:16pm On Dec 02, 2007
hello am new to nairaland an stumbled on the site  today and liked what i saw ,anyways i agree dat a standard naija hero needs not be clad in multi colored spandex but should have an array on clothes dat have a distinct african touch , hi tech is not so much our thing but supernatural themes will work well for us.
