PDP = APC. And come to think of it that these parties are the most popular parties we have in Nigeria. Let us assune they are not the same for once.
Both are bad opposition party to each other. Rather than do a good job to capture the heart of the masses , they will sit and be buying and selling blames. Both parties have produced the worse of Govt elects. Both parties are still making same mistakes. They are not willing to learn. They are both corrupt
Infact they are the same. See defection here and there. Pdp to apc, apc to pdp. Some have even jumped boat more than once. You will think they have the interest of the masses in mind. Nope, it is their pocket that interest them.
I pity some of you dying for these parties. Our mumu never do. Una no wan learn. Issokay. Continue. United we could turn this country around. But you let few PEOPLE use Religion, tribalism and sentiments to divide us. Una better think o |

Politics › Re: Lagos Begins Retrofitting Of Streetlights by FILEBE(m): 8:25am On Jun 08, 2021 |
9jaRealist: Asking government to “teach people about maintenance”…. Is a self-indictment of the people rather than of the government.
Before the Lagos State government embarks on any road or other major project, it holds a stakeholders forum which includes local residents and leaders of the affected area. During construction, most project signboards clearly state “Your Taxes at Work”, and if there’s a commissioning thereafter residents are solicited to take collective ownership of the infrastructure. Accordingly, if residents do not protect public infrastructure, yet again it says more about the citizenry/residents than it does of the government. #TakeResponbility
Meanwhile, not quite where some of the people making comments here are writing from (or residing), but it certainly isn’t Lagos. Lagos has the Lagos State Public Works Corporation, which undertakes regular routine maintenance of roads, with its work gangs out and about on most nights, filling up potholes and tarring streets, among others. Even as we have this discussion, Lagos currently has a greater number of road projects than any other state, including new builds as well as the rehabilitation, upgrade, or expansion of existing roads.
In addition, Lagos has the Lagos State Infrastructure and Asset Maintenance Agency, which acts as facility and maintenance managers for public buildings and infrastructure, and has designated a Facilities Maintenance Officer for EACH public school (in addition to the constitution of the Special Committee on the Rehabilitation of Public Schools, to ensure a synchronized rehabilitation and maintenance program). Obviously, there’s more to do, but development is a PROCESS, and not an event! EKO O NI BAJE!! Lagos Leads, others follow. > Thanks for the info. But it is obvious one of US( Agency and citizens) are not doing the job well at all. Most of these lagos road repairs are avoidable. We will watch as a small ditch becomes a big one. Thr govt havent sensitized enough. I pass a very recently tarred street where this woman sells water. The road is now bad due to the constant water spills. Everybody said nothing. This isnt the govt fault. Ojuelegba underbridge, ikeja undebridge etc... who are responsoble for the maintenance. The lights dont even wprk anylonger. The railings are all damanged. The govt cant do this alone. Many Nigerians just dont care |
Politics › Re: Lagos Begins Retrofitting Of Streetlights by FILEBE(m): 4:54pm On Jun 07, 2021*. Modified: 12:46pm On Jun 10, 2021 |
Tar all the street for lagos first Teach people about maintenance . Visit Lagos govt offices and see infastructural decay . Let the citizens underatand we own all properties together, so we should look after it together. Sweep all the sands away. You will agree with me that modern developed cities arent littered with sands . Proper refuse disposal should be in place. Govt properties vandals should be fined heavily. You need to see how those that sell water on streets have damaged the road
Every year, money is being allocated for rebuilding. Less money could be allocated for maintenance.
I dey talk make everyone understand. The plenty of us wey dey Nairaland understand but the street women and men wey e concern no dey nairaland |
