Politics / Re: For 5 Days Jonathan Did Not Know Morocco Had Withdrawn Her Ambassador - Soyinka by FindOut(m): 4:03am On Mar 30, 2015
Soyinka admitted: “My memory of General Buhari has become rather mixed up. Four years ago I certainly wasn’t even prepared to consider the possibility of a genuine ‘born-again’. But at the risk of being proved wrong, I think we have a case here of a genuine ‘born-again’ phenomenon.”

The poet and playwright declined to say explicitly how he voted, but dropped a big hint by saying: “Maybe we should all try to be a little bit of Mandela. If Mandela could actually make a leap of faith towards the Boers after the atrocities committed against the black people [in South Africa], when the moment comes and the system under which we operate has thrown up just two candidates really … I think I asked myself: ‘Who would Nelson Mandela have voted for?’ and that’s the person I voted for. That’s all I’m going to tell you.”

I do not think Pa Soyinka voted for the clueless corrupt cabal-controlled candidate.

Kingspin:
Buhari live from Daura
Daura : Presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, General Mohammadu Buhari on Saturday said it would be unfair for anyone to contemplate the cancellation of the presidential polls following a few recorded hiccups . Main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Mohammadu Buhari casts his ballot at a polling station in the “Gidan Niyam Sakin Yara A ward” at Daura in Katsina State on March 28, 2015. Voting began in Nigeria’s general election but delays were reported countrywide because of technical problems in accrediting electors.
AFP PHOTO He said that the challenges were minor to have affected the entire country. Citing instances, the former Head of State said that what had happened in 5 States could not have presumably affected the remaining 31 State and the Federal Capital territory, Abuja. He addressed a press conference in his
private residence after he and his wife, Aisha had cast their ballots at Kofar Baru 3 in Sarkin Yara “A” in Daura Local Government Area of Katsina State.

How does his words highlighted above translate to the title of this thread Misquoting Buhari has started again. PDP's stock in trade. This is how you people begin to heat up the polity. Moderators, please change the topic of this thread and consider giving the OP a ban for this.

Politics / Re: If Ph.d Cannot Solve Nigeria's Problem Is It Sch Cert Dropout That Can? by FindOut(m): 1:47pm On Mar 27, 2015
If the school cert drop out could execute the building of refineries that the PhD holders are struggling to maintain, then YES.
If the school cert drop out can, while heading PTF, touch almost all aspects of the common man's life, from mass transit to school hostels to roads, to textbooks, even to drugs in hospitals and dispensing envelopes in ALL states of the federation, then YES.

I challenge any of the TANoids and 'undecided' voters / Buhari bashers to tell me if they did not benefit or at least see one PTF project or another especially in late 90s/ early 2000s. Some of these legacies, are still there till tomorrow. Many people have university degrees today thanks to PTF sponsored textbooks, which they used in PTF built school buildings, on PTF desks and chairs. They rode to school in buses on which were stamped "Donated by PTF". When they had headache, they went to hospitals and were given paracetamol in dispensing envelopes embossed with the PTF logo.

The green PTF logo was everywhere. And you can still find them today even in rural areas that have never seen any other government presence since 1999. Ask some youth corpers who served in remote areas in all regions of this country.

If that school cert holder who happens to be an internationally acclaimed Army General could coordinate all that, then surely, he can do more.

Tomorrow, Buhari/Osinbajo is my team. In the unlikely event they fail to deliver, 2019, God willing, we will push them out and bring in another team.

So don't be surprised when you see some eloquent former pro-APC forumites now suddenly shouting GEJ till 2019. They were approached, asked to submit "strategy document" and given some compensation...or "protection" as they call it.....money that will soon finish and will probably put some of them in trouble.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Hillary Clinton To Launch Presidential Bid In April by FindOut(m): 1:46pm On Mar 04, 2015
CFCfan:

Hillary would likely pick a much younger person as her running mate (Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Julian Castro or Cory Booker) with an agreement that she would be a one-term president.

And why would she do this? Age? Ronald Reagan was sworn in as President two weeks to his 70th birthday and he served two full terms, leaving the white house just before he clocked 78. Health grounds? She wouldn't even be running at all if that were the case.

Again, I do not think age will be a serious issue.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Hillary Clinton To Launch Presidential Bid In April by FindOut(m): 11:29pm On Mar 02, 2015
How old is Hillary Clinton again?

Oh, 67.

If she wins, she'll be sworn in at 69, and she might very well spend 8 years,, meaning she'll be leaving the white house at 77.

Later, someone will tell me Buhari is too old to be President, especially when the younger contestant with a supposed Ph. D. degree is working very hard to break his own already set record of being the worst president we have ever had.

When it comes to leadership, integrity and competence are considered beyond age.

"Communications management" hopeful (obviously jobless) seeking "some form of SECURITY" from APC (in form of mobile policemen or JTF?....or appointment), we will not forget all the aspersions you cast on Jonathan, including your repeated truthful submissions on why he shouldn't be in government and needs to go.

This world is smaller than you think, and I can assure you that you will eventually have cause to regret your lack of principles and the subsequent loss of respect you have suffered. Any serious minded APC or even PDP supporter will just have to concede that you are indeed a desperate political jobber without principles. A man without principles and integrity has NOTHING.

Goodluck.lol

I'm a firm proponent of attacking the message and not the messenger but in this case, bros, you don fall hands seriously, and the rottenness and filth of the messenger is preventing us from even considering the biased message you have unsuccessfully tried to wrap in the garb of objectivity.

Good one by the FG.

However, this caught my attention:

Okonja-Iweala who spoke on the recent forensic audit of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation by PriceWater Coopers, said it had shown clearly the existing gaps in tackling corruption in the oil sector.

According to her, the Federal Government has “ordered the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation to return the funds” as soon as possible.

"as soon as possible"! The reason why Nigerians and the international community do not take this government serious is simply because even the head honcho, GEJ himself does not take the business of governance seriously!!

Who has been invited for questioning or arrested by the EFCC?

Andrew Yakubu just handed over to his successor happily, and he will of course receive glowing comments from the FG for a job well done, like the billionaire GMD thieves before him.

Banana republic. Forget Sanusi and Soludo for now, How come Ngozi earlier told us that 10.8 billion was unaccounted for, PWC presented a report reflecting just 10% of that amount and she's not raising any eyebrow...at least in public?

People Deceiving People. Kontinu!

There is a difference between missing and unaccounted for

Please educate me, in the context of this issue at hand. I look forward to tapping into your wealth of ignorance knowledge

You think advanced countries got to where they are by differentiating between "stealing" and "corruption" and differentiating between "missing" and "unaccounted for" and "unremitted" ?

When are you people going to stop making excuses for the leaders so the long suffering poor people in Nigeria can experience good leadership and advancement?

Do you know the percentage of Nigerians that woke up this morning not knowing what they will eat for breakfast? with no money in their pocket? despite struggling to go to school and armed with a university degree and no hope in sight?

Do you know how much Diezani's tax payer funded jet could do for these people? Do you know how much the billions used to feed Tompolo as policeman of the sea (despite increasing oil theft) could do for these people? Do you know what 1 BILLION DOLLARS can do for the country, talkless of 30?

Assuming you are not one, and you have no relatives in such situation, have you no pity for such people? Is this the way forward?

People are just plain st.upid.

Audit report is what it is. They audited the book and found unremitted entitlement to the government.

What audits report do not investigate is the scam going on in lifting of crude.

Garbage in, garbage out. The guys in NNPC are not children.

If 500k barrels were sold and the book was cooked to show 300k barrels. The auditors can only work with the 300k reflected in the book.

The other stolen 200k do not even exist as far as auditing is concerned. Auditing cannot verify how much is actually pumped per day.

People get very creative in trying to beat invigilators in exams. Multiply that by millions to get the level of creativity by the top guns to steal billions that are up for grab.

NNPC can never be cleaned.

Sir, your first statement sums it up!

Second bolded is a recommended cure to be taken in by the stup.i.d ones, though it is unlikely to have much effect on the extremely irredeemable cases, most of whom can be found chanting Goodluck till 2019 in spite of this scandal which unfortunately has become a normal thing in Nigeria now .
Politics / Re: NNPC Audit Report: Apologise To Jonathan, Group Urges Sanusi, Others by FindOut(m): 6:07am On Feb 17, 2015
So we have gotten to a stage where some people are celebrating that "only 284 BILLION NAIRA" is missing! And some people are saying Goodluck till 2019 because of that!

Assuming the report is indeed true, who has been fired for this missing money? Is there any country in the world where the oil minister and the NNPC equivalent executives will not be arrested the day after an audit report exposes the fact even 1 million dollars is missing not to talk of OVER 1 BILLION dollars that we have here?

Who has been arrested?
Who has been fired or suspended?

This in itself is enough not to get the president of a country reelected even if such president has provided heaven for his people. But here in Nigeria, it's a cause for celebration and castigation of the "enemies" of Nigeria like "born to rule" Sanusi who raised the alarm in the first place.

Sanusi and Soludo have told us that the money missing far exceeds what this audit report is saying. I choose to believe them over PWC's report. It will be an insult to my intelligence and lack of utilization of my God-given brain if I do otherwise.

Wait o! How come Omockery hasn't instituted legal action for the Wendell Slimlin case where he was trying to frame Sanusi as a boko haram sponsor.

Does this mean that was very true and he couldn't deny it?
if yes, why is he still at his post? Does this mean he was doing that with the backing of his boss?
If yes, why are people still shouting Goodluck 2019? when it is obvious that the man and his lackeys have been (and still are) playing politics with the insurgency issue while people have been dying.

Omockery, you and your boss will soon leave Aso rock. The same devious schemes you people are planning will be your eventual undoing.

Politics / Re: Anxiety As Govt. Implements Oronsaye Panel’s Report- Guardian by FindOut(m): 2:48pm On Feb 13, 2015
While they await the full implementation of the recommendations, they are shocked by the sudden stoppage of their salaries last month by the Accountant-General of the Federation (AGF) through the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

No money to pay salaries and election is here, so let us pretend we are working and start implementing ONE of the many committee and panel reports we've been receiving since 2011.

Is that how you implement a report and abruptly stop funding of agencies? So something as simple (for any good manager) as the process of winding up a unit and ensuring appropriate seamless transfer of personnel and equipment to other agencies is difficult for this government to do? Their salaries have to stop first?

Nonsense. Even when they pretend to be effective, they only end up further showcasing their gross incompetence.

Nice recommendations in the report though...if well implemented. But can we just learn how to do things right for once?
