Where are those who said Pastor Ashimolowo could not visit the UK? |
Chai! Diaris God oooooo |
Display of caveman mentality! |
Complete waste of money! Note that it is not for the general public. Entry and exit are regulated! It runs from the NDDC car park on the other side of the road to the front of the office complex. |
[b]Who can take care of one's children in one's absence better than their mother?[b] We Africans are the ones giving a bad coloration to the NOK issue. I have been working for almost two decades and my NOK is my wife. She is the only one that can take care of my kids better than anyone else! Not my father, my mum, my siblings or my relatives! I do not see any reason why children who have been given good education and are graduates at the time of their father's demise would be looking forward to inheriting their father's assets when their mum is still alive! My personal opinion is that the poor woman who suffered with her deceased husband should be left to manage whatever is left behind except she willingly relinquishes her right to inheritance. [b]She has lost a great companion, she shouldn't lose his assets too![b] |
FG is not serious! Reasons? 1. All commissioners of health are having their first emergency meeting ONLY today since we recorded the first case in Nigeria! 2. Abuja has 1000 PPEs while Lagos has only 20! |
The SSANU members, who The correct word is: "DEFIED" |
Power to the People!!! |
Not the same face...check the photographs well |
I wonder how Doyin Okupe's children and family members are taking the public display of stupidity by their own. Even Wada Nas didn't have it this bad! |
People lined the streets when Aki and Pawpaw visited :-) |

Guys, don't be fooled. Most of the figures being bandied here ain't true! No staff of any of the IOCs will discussed his/her confidential emolument on sites like this. |
All these are just signs that kids have invaded NAIRALAND! |
I am beginning to understand why there are so many childish comments on serious posts here on Nairaland. The site is infested with kids!!! |
Let the truth be said! What some of our brothers engage in while in foreign lands all in the name of making money is repulsive! Yes we are not the only bad/fraudulent people on earth BUT OUR POPULATION AND LIFESTYLES GIVE US AWAY! Being a Nigerian is now synonymous with drugs n fraud! Nigerians dominate the drug n fraud activities in some countries. We have taken over the whole of Hilbrow in South Africa! |
Info: 1. they are on the road on working days and disappear between 2 & 3pm (normally when the local government councils have closed) 2. the documents they are asking for (radio licence, sanitation receipt, etc) are legit BUT they are not empowered to be on federal roads. they are to check for compliance within their local government areas. 3. they only capitalise on the ignorance and the urgency with which transiting travellers want to get to their destinations 4. the situation was worse under previous administration MY ADVICE: On sighting the boys with their spiked woods, SWITCH ON YOUR HEADLIGHTS, HAZARD LIGHTS AND INCREASE YOUR SPEED! DO NOT TRY TO DODGE THEIR SPIKED WOODS! FACE THE GUY WITH THE WOOD, HE WILL DROP IT AND RUN FOR HIS DEAR LIFE! I have done this a couple of times after a friend advised me. They are always stationed at the spiral road that connects motorists to the benin by-pass. NEVER ALLOW THEM BRING YOU TO A HALT! |
Also pray that the road isn't busy when the tire blow-out happens! If it is, no amount of calmness or composure will save you except God's intervention! |
The roach could have been in the vehicle used for the delivery. I went to get pizza from a joint in Port Harcourt once and on getting home, i discovered a small roach crawling on the pack...that discouraged me from eating it. On closer look, i found out that i had a couple of them roaches in the car! I had to fumigate the car and my house! We need regular fumigation to get rid of these creatures! |
A lot of the responses above can only come from teenagers! It is a pity... |
I had my own experience in 1996 on my third journey on the Lagos-Ore-Benin road. It wasn't a funny experience. I felt terrible on realizing that I was scammed! A friend and I were on our way back to Port Harcourt from Lagos in my 1.6L Japanese car after spending the Christmas with family members. The journey from Lagos through Sagamu was very smooth. Immediately I passed Ore junction, I noticed that two different pedestrians vigorously pointed at my car as I approached them. I had to stop to check the car when the third person, almost a kilometer away, did the same thing! The “good Samaritan” ran up to me as I was checking my tyres for any visible sign. He told me that the front tyre on the passenger side was wobbling and suggested that it must be the bearing. To convince me that the bearing was really bad, he sat on the floor, held the tyre and shook it a bit. I guess I noticed it shake. I became apprehensive immediately! All I thought about was the fact that I still had about 600km to cover…how was I going to do that with a bad bearing? The guy call a mechanic who removed the tyre and deliberately destroyed the bearing in the process. He left me there and on return claimed to have dashed to the nearest spare parts dealer to get a new bearing. Instead, he gave me a bad news: THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN ORE BUT IN BENIN!!! After spending several hours in Ore, I ended up buying a bearing at TIMES TEN THE COST PRICE!!! Since then I have plied that route more than 30 times and only wave at the clowns when I see them pointing at my tyre. |
From the few photographs I have seen, seems like Nairaland has a very large population of teenagers! No wonder the childish and abusive posts!!! |
This comedy will consume this nation if care is not taken! I wonder why those who should chart the right path for the populace to follow are deriving pleasure in dividing us the more! |
Does the owner of this post know the definition of NIGHT VIGIL? Does the act look like what was done at night? People just wake and post any picture they come across or any stupid thought that cross their minds. Pleasssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! |
If this is not a scam, then you must be a magician! N8m to build a duplex in 60 ddays in PH where I live? Please post a breakdown of the cost and your professional fee. In which part of PH is the land situated? |
Seeing how young you are, I now understand why there are so many childish posts/comments on Nairaland! |
HYPOCRITES!!! Ex-Governor Peter Odili was in Rivers State for 8years and we know how he massively looted the state's treasury. How many people cried foul? Was he harrassed for buying a jet which he called a state air ambulance...the same jet that he used for his failed presidential campaign! The same jet his wife was using to shuttle between Port Harcourt and Abuja for private purposes! Come to rivers State and see how Governor Amaechi has transformed the place despite the resistance from the-powers-that-be who wanted BUSINESS AS USUAL to continue. He has transformed all the delapidated schools and equipped them with modern learning aids/equipment. Let us put politics aside for once and speak the truth! The desires of the non-performers in Abuja will set this nation ablaze if care is not taken! |
Some rush to post before analysing the topic of discussion! At least, you can google the subject in order to have background info...please grow up! |
Following the recent directive of the Inspector General of Police to AIGs and CPs nationwide to arrest and prosecute owners of vehicles whose glasses are tinted, (http://www.npf.gov.ng/news/view-news?id=88) the police in Rivers State commenced the arrest of some motorists who were unfortunate to have driven by their stations. A few who flaunted tinted glass permits had them thrown back at them because the new directive disregards any existing permit. Nigerians are made to suffer untold hardship in the hands of law enforcers. What is the ordinary man on the street expected to do in this circumstance? A friend who was arrested said he saw the DPO of the Olu Obasanjo Police Station drive into the station in his own private car with tinted glasses. When will we get out of this kind of mess? This is happening when we thought the Nigeria Police had move a step in the right direction. So so sad! |
People are differently stories to tell about the GPS Car tracker. My friend's wife was attacked while she was taking her child to school right inside our estate in Port Harcourt. At gun point, she was forced out of the car along with her child and the attackers zoomed off with the car. She called her husband immediately and he started tracking the car and discovered that the thieves were heading for Imo state. He alerted a few friends in Owerri and waited till the car got to the city centre before demobilising it. The idiots were trapped right in traffic in front of Assumpta Cathedral...they came out and started pushing the car and took to their heels when they sighted some policemen. I know a couple of others who recovered theirs also. |
This is what the Yorubas call "AWADA KERI KERI"Is the First Lady not human? What is wrong in telling the citizens that she is ill and recuperating? I wonder what gets into the heads of leaders in Aso Rock. The late Yar Adua's case started this way. And I remember President Jonathan complaining that he was kept in the dark. We are all here waiting... |
What do you expect when you put a tractor driver in the cockpit of a fighter jet? The guy will be overwhelmed by the numerous buttons in front of him! The "wisemen" knew why they made him second in command to a terminally ill president :-) They knew he would f**k himself up, the nation and the chance of any Niger Deltan ruling this country! |
