Encourage multinationals to build refineries and there will be no need to discuss SUBSIDY! SHELL, AGIP, TOTAL, CHEVRON are all active players in the downstream sectors in other economies. If our leaders are sincere, they would grant these guys some waivers/encouragements to build refineries here. CHAD went into partnership with the Chinese and commissioned a 20,000bpd refinery a few weeks ago! IT TOOK THEM 2 YEARS TO BUILD IT! We even sent a delegation to the commissioning ceremony. SHAMELESS PEOPLE!!! People should stop TALKING THRASH like they know more than others! They talk of job creation but we still generate less than 4000mw since the days of Babangida! Provide stable electricity and jobs will spring up everywhere. The manufacturing sector is gradually packing up due to lack of electricity. A lot of companies are relocating to neighbouring Ghana. Now they have brought up the issue of subsidy. When eventually it is removed, the same cabal will buy refined products from neigbouring african nations and still sell to us like they imported it from europe! They want to develop local industries but lifted the ban on the importation of finished furniture! WHO DO OUR LEADERS THINK? It is very sad that we still claim that there is corruption in NNPC, a federal government parastatal!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't we have agencies that can investigate and bring the criminals to book? OUR PROBLEM IS CORRUPTION AND LEADERSHIP WITHOUT BALL!

The facts remain that our refineries are in comatose!  Call anybody you know in any of the refineries and you will get authentic info.  What they are presently doing is massive importation of refined products.  But at what cost? At the cost of the economy and our foreign reserves!  It will have a spiral effect, The other day the President wanted the cement producers/re-baggers to reduce the price of a bag and they told him that high price of cement is as a result of the cost of diesel which their plants run on!  CHIKENA!  A litre of diesel is about N170!  The 20kva diesel generator which a family uses consumes about 10ltrs of diesel per hour. JUST IMAGE WHAT A 200KVA GENERATOR WILL BE CONSUMING DAILY IN A FACTORY! People just come online and peddle lies just to convince ignorant people.

After politicking comes WORK!  Work has just started, let's see how they are going to sustain the sham that is going on!

When it was obvious that she was going to lose out in the post-Yar Adua era she made a FOOLISH turn around, shows how desperate she is. I also remember her scene at the burial of her late sister who she kept malice with for ages! It is so sad!

The elder in question is a shameless old man. He brought up personal issues at the debate. Does the fact that he is an elder entitle him to have the governor to be at his beck and call. When you book an appointment to see a busy government/private official, the purpose of the visit is always stated! Why seek to see the governor for a criminal matter that is already before the law court? The second issue was that of his house in victoria island that was built on the drain, causing flooding of the environs in the process. Fashola had to explain that the issue was being handled by the commissioner for environment. He tried to deceive into concluding that the governor was an arrogant individual. Age is no licence for deceit!
