gbadexy:Will you like to provide me a quote for the job? If so, we can arrange to meet up on location so you can scope it |
gbadexy:I want to use the best paint out there. My builder actually brought someone who gave me a quote. I want to understand it so I can critique it. He just out gallons of this and that and prices but I need to be able to know if the quantities make sense after which we can tackle prices and labor |
Painters in the house, please what is a good rule of thumb for the volume of paint per sqm for a house. Also, if anyone is interested in quoting for a project, please let me know. Thanks |
I am not sure if the burglary type in the house shown in the link below was discussed when burglary bar types were mentioned. What’s our opinion on this? https://youtu.be/l5Kd3AM4-G8 |
n3xt:If you don’t mind, can you explain why you have this opinion about concrete deck? |
Does anyone know if and where to get the type of block in the attached brochure or something close to it. Basically I am looking for some that will keep rain out, but let the wind in. Thanks https://static1.squarespace.com/static/594180f2ebbd1a5d58bc5032/t/5b90367c89858352ec58951f/1536177790704/2018+-+Innovent+Brochure+Final+-+31.01.18.pdf

I can almost bet that what is wrong with you is sleep apnea. You wake up more fatigued than when you go to bed right? Get a sleep study done - I don’t know if they do this in Nigeria. There are remedies, using a CPAP gadget to sleep or surgery |

Good day all Going through various topics here and during several personal discussions with people, even well educated ones, it is apparent that a lot of people believe they don’t have to pay rent during quit notice period. Is this deliberate ignorance or just poor legal education because the law states clearly that tenants have to pay for every day spent in a house, whether a dispute is ongoing in court or not. There’s a topic on the front page now where the tenant had 4 months to rent expiry and has been given a quit notice for 2 months after that making it a 6 months duration quit notice and a lot of people are still saying a rent-free 6 months period should start at the expiration of his rent. How is it that our people having this mindset? And they are saying it with absolute confidence!! I surmise we need a lot of education on these matters to correct these false notions |
Please what happened to the crude oil that UNILORIN discovered two years ago ![]() |
maternal:Remember I am talking personal experience and experience of my close friends and colleagues here. I know more than 10 out of the 50ish that have completed the process and gotten the Pali and none of them have quit the job here to move to Canada. It makes absolute sense in several ways that I do not have the energy to spell out here |
Pidgin2:Yes I mean it. You see, with the way Nigeria is there has to be an incentive for living in Nigeria. The quality of life is so low that you need to be "bribed" with good earnings to stay here. I might not be able to explain it properly as you need to live it in a western country to understand it. My dear it is not the same! |
There's a lot of specious reasoning on both sides of this discussion. Ultimately, the decision will be based on the personal circumstances of the person in question. If it was me, I will migrate. However, I think it is far fetched to say people working for TOTAL want to migrate to Canada. From personal experience and first hand information, what they want to do is move their family to Canada while they remain in Nigeria working. I know more than 50 people doing this. They are not afraid for themselves as they make more money in the oil industry in Nigeria. They just want a plan b for their families. For most of them immediately they lay hands on the Pali, the family moves back to Nigeria. Talk about having the best of both worlds. My advise will be that if you are struggling in Nigeria, by that I mean you don't earn at least $60,000 equivalent annually in Nigeria, if you have the opportunity to make a planned move to a good country, please go. I am not saying people should migrate illegally as that would be hell on earth. You don't want to subject yourself to that trust me |
Answer me these questions. These plots you are selling are they in the completed section or the smaller extension that is just being added. How many plots are in the estate? How many did Chevron cooperative buy. I know for a fact thatChevron cooperative bought over 90%. I have all the documents. Unless you guys have misrepresented the facts to chevron cooperative then what I said is the truth. Chief Ilori himself knows this so don't tell me I'm talking nonsense. You guys might have few plots to sell, I don't doubt that but I'm just wondering how come you have not sold about 10 plots in 2 years because that is all you have to sell |
You do realize that there are no plots available for sale to the general public in this development right? All the plots bar 10 have been sold to Chevron cooperative and they are taking over ownership of this development. Anyone interested in buying should shine their eyes very well o |
Spyder, please I need some help here. I am trying to fence a plot of land in Lekki that I have already sandfilled. The plot is 18.3m by 37m. One of the sides (37m) is already done by my neighbor. As such I just need to fence back and front (18.3m) and one side (37m). I was told that because of the sandfilling the foundation will have to be 1.2m at the rear and 0.9m in front while the blockwall will be 2.4m high. The person I spoke to also said the foundation will have to be T-base (0.15m wide). Is there a way I can reasonably estimate how much this is going to cost? I am not on ground presently and will like to benchmark costs |

2.4million? VIN? How can I check the history of the car? |
OP..... Your course mate David Osho, did he require a godfather to get into Chevron? |
Take your child to a school called "The learning place" in Lekki phase one. They will help your child fully. Talking from experience. |
