Ricky Rozay: @Flynbird, How many times are you allowed to check for available date in a day?

Pls i need this info.

What is the maximum limit for a day?

Thnx
5 times max! When I exceed 5 times it gives me "You Have Exceeded The Limit For Viewing This Page And Your Limit Will Be Reset As Tomorrow".. But when I keep checking it gives me " Unable To Process Request Concurrent Request Limit Exceeded".. And then after a few hours it goes back to "You Have Exceeded The Limit For Viewing This Page And Your Limit Will Be Reset As Tomorrow". Then the next day it starts counting all the limits again

4days of trying and I'm already fed up. I force myself to wake up at night to check but no date comes up! sad

Is there really a daily limit for viewing available interview dates? I just checked again and it says I've exceeded my daily limit. But it show "No available dates" Does this mean I can't see or book if any date comes up until my after the 1day is done?

TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 9:58am On Jun 18, 2013
GboyegaD: Where did you get such information from? I have used it a few times and it is about 7days to get to Nigeria at most.
Wait! Guys which company handles mails that comes to nipost from the UShuh? I thought that's USPShuhhuh??
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 11:48pm On Jun 17, 2013
Ricky Rozay: @flynbird, Wow!!! you didn't Plan this your Processing very well oooo.

Why did you use Regular mail? Who even told you it will get here in 10 working days..

Ofcourse, Nipost is Reliable for Sending, But I don't think so For Receiving..

Some peeps receive their I-20 package through Regular mail in 2 months..

And also have this at the back of your Mind that It won't be easy for you to Book an appointment by JULY and still get a date at the Embassy by that same month. JULY

So I see you going to the Embassy by latest 2nd week of August if your i-20 package doesn't get here in time. And I really hope your school wouldn't have resumed classes.

And also why didn't you use a Pick up service to receive your i-20 package.. There are some cheaper courier services you could use for Pick up.

As for me, I used a Pick up service to receive my i-20 package and my package got to me in just 3 working days... And I paid #12,260 compared to FedEx and DHL that charge much more higher than the amount I paid.

The Only Advice I can give you Now is that, after 10 working days, don't wait at home for your package to be delivered to your doorstep ooooo.

Move to the post office and ask if they have received your package. Always check them frequently.

Don't Relax at home oooo. Because most of them might even receive the package in even 8 working days but will wait for like 2 weeks before they start dispatching packages and delivering it to various designated homes.

Hope you have NOTED what I just told you.

Cheers.
I meant booking as soon as dates come up and pick late july.... And yeah I intend visiting the post office next week to check for the packet instead of waiting for home delivery as that could take more time. smiley
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 11:40pm On Jun 17, 2013
bigfrancis21: The 10 days working time for nipost is for when sending from Nigeria to abroad. I'm not sure the same applies when the package is being sent from abroad to Nigeria because many people that got their I-20 via the same regular mail route said it took them at least 3 weeks to arrive. Had it been this was the month of, say april or may, that would not be a problem since you still have enough time. But you don't have much of a time left on your side. Let's just hope it arrives before your interview. To be on a safer side, select an interview date from July 3rd week downwards to accommodate the I-20 arrival.
That's just what I want, A late july date.... Thank you sir! smiley
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 11:16pm On Jun 17, 2013
bigfrancis21: How will your I-20 get to you? Through courier or regular mail? I hope you do know that you need to schedule an interview date that will be convenient for you to accommodate your I-20 arrival?
It was sent by regular mail not courier. I learnt Nipost is reliable. It should get to me in 10working days which is approximately 2weeks, End of June. I'll choose a date in July for the interview
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 11:00pm On Jun 17, 2013
bigfrancis21: No, University Zip code is not the same as the school code. The zip code is more of the postal address code. For my school, for example the zip code is 20742 and its different from the school code itself.
Ok. Thank you very much Sir!

Anyone who sees open dates in lagos should kindly let us know. smiley

Hi guys. Just got my I-20 form mailed to me. I'm expecting it to deliver next week. I got my Sevis code and school code emailed to me and I've paid for the visa fee N26,400 at GTbank. I'm trying to schedule an interview date at the lagos embassy. There is this part that says sevis code , university name and university zip code. Please is the university zip code the same as the school code on my I-20form?
If anyone sees any available date at the lagos embassy please kindly let us know.
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 5:31pm On Jun 08, 2013
imperiouxx: At the western outlet,

Fill the form (though paying SEVIS isn't straight forward like the form described except if they usually paid SEVIS fee in the outlet) >>> Give them the amount to be paid >>> They run the system and come back with your MTCN. Shikena!

Nothing like ID card, he is paying and not collecting.
Thank you sir imperioxx, Big francis, ystd4567 etc. Appreciate it. God bless you all
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 4:45pm On Jun 08, 2013
imperiouxx: NEVER!

He'll fill your names and everything about you (detail) but the address Western Union will accept is the one from where the money is paid (i.e his address). So, he will be getting the receipt in his house and send it to you in Nigeria. I paid this 2 times last year and 1 this year.
Oh! ok.... Thanks. So I don't have to email them any longer after he has made the payment right? But wouldn't Western Union ask for his ID before he could send money or is it just for receivers only
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 4:12pm On Jun 08, 2013
bigfrancis021: Yes, I guess so. The PDF shows two images of the WU form and a sample of an I-20. The reason they want you to go along with that WU pdf form example is to be able to know how to correctly fill your own form at the WU you'll go to when filling your own form. The pdf sample you'll print online will serve to guide you when filling. The sample also shows those information you'll need to obtain from the I-20 and where you'll write them on the WU form.
Thanks dear! So he'll fill out his own First name, Last name, Address and Phone number on the form. Then after he's done I'll send an e-mail to fmjfee.sevis@ice.dhs.gov with subject INFO CHANGE in the subject line and Include the SEVIS ID and my own details right? I hope its this way. Just want it done right without mistakes. Thanks

bigfrancis21: The statement says 'may', not necessarily. Lolz. You've come this far, you can't give up now.
Ok thanks..... I've never seen a western union senders form but is this how all senders form look likehuh ? I mean do they all look like the copy of the Western Union form example http://www.ice.gov/doclib/sevis/pdf/wu_fm_inter.pdf). huh?? Is it this way in all western union agents location or they have special forms for SEVIS payments?

bigfrancis021: Find the nearest Western Union location or call the telephone number of the Western Union Commercial Services Network Agent in your country as listed in your phone book
Will he have to call western union again after making the payment?
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 11:38am On Jun 08, 2013
bigfrancis021: If you are paying on behalf of an F or M student or J exchange visitor, Western Union may require you to use your own name and address. If this happens please make sure that you are entering the F or M student or J exchange visitor’s SEVIS ID. After submitting the payment, please send an e-mail or have the student send an e-mail to fmjfee.sevis@ice.dhs.gov with INFO CHANGE in the subject line. Include the SEVIS ID for which the payment was made and any information requiring an update.
Well this sucks! sad wonder why they can't just give us the payment process online..... That M.O thing is out of it.(Long process).... I'll stick to the Western union alternative. But wait my cousin will have to use his name when making payments and then email them for a change of details? huhhuh Now that really sucks!!!!

Wow!
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part4 by flynbird(f): 10:42am On Jun 08, 2013
lisadem: To the best of my knowledge, you will need to fill a form where you provide your sevis id, school code, passport no and so on. Once the payment is confirmed, u can always goto www.fmjfee.com/ to check your status and print if confirmed. Your sevis receipt is to be sent to the address you provided in the form and it's your choice to opt for air mail or express mail (attract extra cost).
Hope this helps. The gurus in the house will add to this...
Do I take the original reciept or the print out for my interviewhuh? I thought I read somewhere on this thread where people pay a few days to their interview. So how then do they get their original Reciepthuhhuh??

Hi guys. Been away for a while. Bigfrancis, imperioxx and co... My I-20 is on its way. I'll be paying my Visa fee next week. Now my problem is paying my SEVIS fee. I have a cousin in the Uk and one in Malaysia. I'll like to know which of them would be in the best position to help me pay the $200 Sevis fee. I can't stand the stress of going to cotounu. What details would either of them need to pay my service fee. And would they need to send me some sort of receipt through post? Or I just need some online print out to take to the embassy?

Capital NO.
Not without a code on your I-20. Just get everything you need ready and you follow up as soon as you get the paper. Enjoy

It's not a capital NO.

1) If your I20 has not been prepared at all, then It's a NO.

2) If it has been prepared and you are waiting for it to be mailed and you could get your school code and sevis id (which you may be able to get from your international admissions office), then, per the last time I checked, you can go ahead to book your appointment.

3) If you think you have enough time, you can wait for the I20.

Now that I'm thinking about 1) again, I am thinking there's even a way around that.
Ok. But If I'm not wrong I think i read somewhere on this thread that says one can secure an appointment date, While filling out the DS form online..... I mean like saving and completing it later before submitting. All before the interview date

Guys is it possible to schedule an appointment with the embassy without having my I-20 yet. School resumes soon. Just need to secure a space before then but before then I should have my I-20 and all.
