I'm afraid you're misinterpreting my post. I'm not interested in naira or CAD denomination. Non-currency in this context meant "out-dated". So rephrasing my earlier poser, would CIC accept a 7 month old PoF letter? Is there any statement on CIC web on this? ednut1: no mention of currency. If you submit naira or cad equivalent it still flies. Am sure u did loe for cad equivalent
i posted the vid o not him. It answers the validity question |

This is not real. Where did you get that "watching YouTube videos" from in my response. In any case, I'm wondering if there is an info on CIC website on the currency of the letter of PoF. I'll like to be enlightened please. Eraytee: nothing of such on IRCC website and if its a new development post the link, try to avoid all this youtube videos that aims at getting more views than giving a valid info, please edit your post asap. thanks for trying to help the Moniker in question anyways.

You have done that already, why the request again? I must be very rusty in this game anyway. I'll be better in my silence mode. Best wishes to the new lords in the rings NanaF:
It’s nice to help but you should only give out information that you’re sure of. There has been no mention of expiration period for work reference letters on CIC website or even on this thread. Please edit your post. 2 Likes |

The main issue is whether the letter wont raise any "why" considering the non-currency of it and of course if CIC reached out to the organization (which they sometimes do) to confirm your claim, hope the HR team would back back you up. Trust me, you don't want to have a tiny spec of worry after you've submitted. The worry can very traumatic ednut1: she can get the letter as she is going as it wont be a current role. There is also no mention of 6 months on cic website. For a current role with an old letter if you have clocked 3 years as at the date of the letter i dont think any vo will be bothered if you have performed the same role during the period of the letter date and submission 1 Like |

Your reference must not be older than 6 months when you're submitting it. If you post date it, then you must confirm that the HR boss hasn't changed at submission. Best wishes. ladykilllar: Good evening guys, i intend to resign tomorrow in the organisation I have been working for 2 years, 7 months and plan on getting work reference letter too from them. I plan to open a profile around the middle of next year and the question is would the date to IRCC adress (4th of November 2019) be an issue when I am to submit middle next year having looking backdated?
One reason is that I am very cool with the present HR and she will do almost anything for me and i want make use of the opportunity. The second and the major reason is that i don't want to wait till next year when I am ready because the organisation is a very inconsistent and unpredictable one and they can come up with one policy or the other. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Master degree only for sure. Think only IQAS evaluates LLB as equivalent of Master degree. No advantage doing both as the point for 2 or more cert is less than Masters alone. Best wishes. Vetilicious: Hello Friends,
So i have read the first pages and asked here for clarification about evaluating only my Masters alone or my Masters and LLB but i am still confused.
I have a friend who told me she is evaluating her Masters and Degree for more points........ i also need as much points as i can get from the ECA due to age so please i asking the elders here to confirm, do i continue with evaluating just my Master alone or i evaluate both certificates.
Also, the evaluation of two of more certificates which i keep seeing is what continues confusing me. Please help!! 1 Like |

thanks for the response. I assume this can cause further delay in the assessment process.
any idea on the annual cost of managing CKD? is it above the 20k mark? Unlikely to cause any delay in the assessment as long as medical is passed. The medical reports will still be processed as usual. The nephrologist report must indicate that "the kidney is unlikely to fail or require dialysis in the next 10 years". That's the deal breaker statement for CIC. 2 Likes |

Knightcrawler1: hello, please has anyone encountered a situation where the spouse was asked to do further medical examination because of high serum creatinine levels, and after the second examination the level was still high. can anyone say what the outcome will be or possible steps to take. thanks The applicant will be referred to a consultant nephrologist for further tests and review. All is well as long the kidneys are not damaged or likely to fail within the next 10 years. Wishing you all the best and stay strong. 1 Like |

It will change from "submitted" to "received" when ICES acknowledged the receipt of your transcripts. You're good. |

Susizo: Congratulations to the PPR clinchers... God shall be with you in your new home, we are joining you soonAmen!
Please guys, I want to clarify two issues. 1. Reference letter from a previous job was given but salary was written in months not annual. I spent only 8 months there. Is that fine or I should request for another letter? Monthly figure is adequate.
2. In the placeholder for legal document for change of name, can I use newspaper publication or I need to get an affidavit? Affidavit is better if not mandatory.
Thank you.

I think you should go ahead with the date in your discharge certificate. For two reasons: 1. It covers a whole year. 2. Just in case you're asked to submit additional proof of work experience (which is unlikely to happen) , submitting the discharge cert could help. I hope you put NYSC in bracket already while filling your form.
@Joo2018 sir. I have a quick question. Here is my situation : I'm using NYSC too and I'm not in Nigeria at the moment. I served in a university. After several attempts, I was finally able to get the current HOD to write me a reference letter. It was what I already drafted. I was thinking he would type it on the university's letterhead which will contain the address and telephone number e.t.c, but he used the department's later head instead. The department's letter head doesn't have any address at all but his email is in the body of the letter.
The good news about this is that CIC wouldn't contact the official Phone number of the University cos if they do, the registrar or whoever is in charge might not be able to give any info about me. But the sad part is that, I am not sure if CIC does verification by email if not, I should be fine with that.
So boss, here is what I plan to do, I plan to add is complimentary card (I hope he gives me). Will that solve the problem and do I still need to notarize it?
Thanks
You're good as long as the the email address of the HoD is institutional (not yahoo or gmail etc). No need for notarization. |

DrMrsCK: Happy Sunday all. I am the PA in my family application. Our POF will be provided by spouse. Because of this we have decided to provide letter of employment for him in order to avoid ADR later on. Now my questions are:
1. Must the letter be in CIC format? What if the job description isn't included? Will that pose a problem?
2. On another matter, my FD certificate shows an address in which I lived in more than 10years ago. Should I go to the bank to change the address to my current address? Or leave as it is? Thank you. If your husband is transferring the funds to you, do a gift deed. No need for letter of employment. On FD matter, really shouldn't be problematic. But hey, it cost nothing to change your address. One less thing to worry about after AOR 1 Like |

I don't think there's anything wrong with this as long your transcript is put in a separate envelope from your other documents before they are all package into the postal envelope. ADR (RPRF)/CoPR - January 16 Got the request to pay RPRF and CoPR same day. In the CoPR I was scheduled for an interview on January 24 and asked to come along with my passport, 2 passport photographs and proof of my status in Canada

joo2018: Some musings.
The instances of several people who requested PPR mail from NDVO getting other fresh PPR mails seem to confirm a hypothesis I had about applicants whose applications were approved but forwarded back from Ottawa to CIO without PPR mail.
Prediction: The repeat PPR mail for some (could be a programming error) will continue until the batched applications have all received PPRs or the automated program turned off. Meanwhile Accra will start releasing passports en-mass from now. Good read. 1 Like |

I should show empathy by telling them that the solution for their IELTS is all-night prayers? I simply told them the damn hard truth. If I had seen one who is really down, and really needs advice, I would definitely chip in one or two advices such as changing method of preparation for IELTS, etc, but when I see one who is calling out for night prayers as a remedy to IELTS failures, it's a no for me. Nor vex.
*Edited* One other thing. Tomorrow Saturday is exam day for some people. Please and please, as a test-taker, the last thing you want to do on the eve of your exam day is to stay up in the night praying, when you should be relaxed, and sleeping, so as to be refreshed for tomorrow. Just a word of advice though.
OK. You're the best |

Exercise in futility. You dont need supernatural power to pass an exam. Pagans have passed IELTS. Africans and God ish. A white man will look for a practical approach to a solution. We Africans will look for the God approach.
One last thing, people dont do all-night prayers and night vigils in Canada. If they solved all their problems with prayers in Canada, I don't think we would all be aspiring to go there. You don't trample on people when they're down. Show emphathy. 14 Likes |

1. Can you verify WAEC results(WES) even if you used NECO to gain admission into university? I think so, provided it's a complete (relevant 5 credits). Suppose they use NECO or WAEC for age and name confirmation purposes
2. Has any one sent result verification /scratch card using NIPOST? What was your experience? Are they reliable? How long did it take? How much did you pay? Used NIPOST for WES verification. About 3 weeks. Registered mail 2k. |
