Na YouTube get me on top bed. Also, best time to tackle work-related matters as the weather us cool and soothing. |
ZaddyJ:They just have to find ways to manoeuvre their way and achieve success. Nigeria and its complicated corrupt systems, have ways of frustrating brilliant minds. I have seen it happened to the best of us. However, it is important to know that Nigeria and the world owes you nothing for graduating with first class. It is your responsibility to swim through the difficult tides and waves of life and come out. Graduating with first class is different from being smart and intelligent. They need to know how to navigate through the competitive graduate labour markets, hustle for prestigious scholarships, eye for innovative thinking, networking and explore alternative career path in case of "incasity". |
nairaland is full of comedians! See comments ![]() Let your uncle put you in his line of business, if it is a legit business. Coming to Lagos to just hustle for factory job is not easy. The factory job may be located in a place far from where you are living Transportation is a major expenses for most Lagosian. Also, be sure that the job is legit. Lots of scammers are on the prowl, looking for "magas" to chop. Non existing jobs are written on walls, on roads and pasted in market places, with the amount to be paid stated, asking one to call a certain number for the job - just beware. Lagos could be unforgiven to the newbies and uninformed Let your uncle support you and guide you through. This is a culture among the Igbos that is being fast eroded. Uncles are no more behaving like uncle to their nephews and nieces. It was not like that before. Uncles were looked up to, especially the well -to-do and highly educated. The well-to-do uncle would take his brother's children and trained them in his trade and settle them, thus, sustaining the progress of the entire "umunna" kindred. Those in paid employment would help their nephews and nieces that have finished services, relocated to Lagos, with employment tips and vacancies. It is no more like that these days. Uncles sees their nephews as threat, especially, if their own children are not doing well. Everything now is competition in my place. The family bond and unity that once held sway, have been broken by the "enemy" and the entire kindred has disintegrated. ![]() |
Good move!!! Which means, if you are interested in any position on permanent basis, don't be tempted to accept that position in acting capacity. Once you occupy the position in acting capacity, you looses your rights to contest and occupy the same position on permanent basis. This should give a fair playing field to other contestants, both within and outside the organisation. |
Gerrard59:It is better to choose your fight wisely at any given time. China is currently enjoying a massive trade surplus over the US. In as much as US is trying to bully China, China should weigh its options and see if it is worth it, engaging in the fight, in the first instance. Can the Chinese economy be able to sustain the huge economic losses that may result because of this fight? There is no need being emotional. China should check the benefits and the advantages it gets because of its huge trade surplus with US and make some concessions, so that it doesn't result to unnecessary economic losses to its economy and entities. |
I hope they will catch those korope and danfo guys that eat while driving. I entered korope from oando filling station in marina to VI and the driver was eating food and diluting it with coke. These are the people they should target and not private vehicles |
China made a very big mistake in retaliating. There was no need fighting with Trump, knowing that China has been benefiting, disproportionately in her trade with US. Xi will put China into recession because of unnecessary fight. He should have swallowed his pride and allowed Trump be, so long China was still on top of international trade. You are fighting with your biggest trading partner, where you control 75% of trade between two of you. Xi no try at all. I forsee a 200% increase in coming weeks, as Xi try to match up with Trump's madness |
See caption: "Bianca Ojukwu and daughter, represent first lady, Remi Tinubu. " Did the first lady asked both Bianca and her daughter to represent her? Why did she go with her daughter to an official government event? I hope she paid for her daughter's expenses for her to be there, except if she is based in the UK. We know how to abuse privileges as Nigerians. Probably, she is indirectly marketing her to the world |
So, rain fell today? Thank God I didn't go to island today. I have been indoors throughout and didn't know it rained somewhere in Lagos. Lagos traffic can make one insane. |
Aketi has gone and these marauders are back! The late governor gave them good chase. Now that a lame duck has taken over, the marauders have regrouped to unleash mayhem |
Where is Righteousness? He should come and postulate while Donald Trump is God's sent to come and cleans America and the world of evils ![]() |
He can still win under the Nigerian legal technicalities. If Soludo looses guard and Ezenwafo has a lawyer like Wole Olanipekun, there may be hope, as Wole may argue that Soludo was not properly nominated by his party; the second placed candidate, which may be the LP candidate, was not qualified to contest the election, having being a former convict; the third placed candidate, which may be APC, would be disqualified for going against one of the electoral laws. Then, PDP, candidate, as the likely candidate to come a distance 4th in the election, having scored the highest number of valid votes cast in the election, would be declared the winner. |
papyjaypaul:Mehn, extremely so low. I was shocked that other people didn't notice that goof you flagged. Imagine saying that "your kinsmen also got Jobs" in NNPC LTD in reply to Ndume? There are better ways to counter an opposition comments instead of engaging Ndume in a gutter fight. Bayo should do better, please. The Presidency is being messed up by the same people that were expected to uphold the integrity of the institution. |
This will hit China Really hard. Forget the pretenses by China. US market is the main market and the engine sustaining the Chinese industrial complex. |
Most nigerians would have done the same if they were in Reno's shoe. It us difficult to see a Saint in Nigeria politics. Even Obi is a typical Nigerian politician. Forget the holier than thou posture. |
Stupidity of the highest order. Soludo should be above this kind of petty politics, naming an airport road after a known DRUNK ![]() Governors should stop naming major landmarks after themselves or their friends. |
This Alex Otti face no be here. Imagine how the face go be if the man dey vex ![]() |
Once an opposition politician starts having problems with the law enforcement, he will start singing the praises of the President, looking for soft landing. Is he not the Senator that was debarred in the US and being sought by EFCC? He was accused of collecting millions from a client and fled to Nigeria. |
All the necessary gym materials and equipment are in my house. Go to warehouse, mile 2, and get quality tokunbo gym equipment of your choice. Sometimes, I do my gym in my room, completely naked, especially when doing yoga and without thoughts of anyone looking at me. There are lots of YouTube videos to guide you on any gym activities or fitness you want to achieve within the comfort of your home. However, going to gym offers that opportunity for socialisation and networking, if that's what you want. I love my privacy more than anything else. |
I was expecting to see them on Asoebi, the same way Wike did with his G -5 members. They sewed Asoebi and travelled abroad, moved from one place to another in uniform, fuelled by tax payer's money. |
ElevationD:You really understands Anambra politics. I earlier thought that the presence of Peter Obi would pose a threat to Soludo. But recent developments have endeared Soludo to lots of people. As at 2023, Soludo's reelection wasn't guaranteed, as lots of people had started calling him a one - term governor. But he has quickly turned the tides to his side and haulted the "obidients movement " tsunami. Obi's non challant attitude to labour party affairs have also made many people not to take LP serious. Even the elected members of State's assembly and national assembly aren't interested in LP. The party, LP, was just used by lots of members to win elections, riding off the back of the "obidients movement " of 2023. Obi, himself, has maintained a dignified silence in the governorship election, as he knew that any move he makes that would not result to electoral victory for his party, would be viewed negatively against him. He would rather sit on the fence and maintain neutrality than to campaign for a labour candidate and loose. |
Ozigbo thought he was a big fish, as a former LP heavy weight, to be courted by APC, snapping pictures with Gandollar and other APC heavy weights. Nicolas Ukachukwu is a veteran governorship aspirant in Anambra, with many electoral defeats under his belt. The outcome of this year's election for him may not be different from the ones in the past. I think Soludo currently has the momentum, even among the supporters of the ruling federal government. They may accept with kindness, Soludo's victory, as he has never played a spoiler for Mr. President and the ruling party on anything. |
Peter Obi is in serious dilemma about this election. He knows that Soludo will win and he doesn't know if he should back the labour party candidate in the election. As usual, Obi, typically behaves like Buhari. Two men that are unconcerned about their parties. They are after their own political interests without given a thought about their parties. Buhari was so aloof that he did not know APC to the extent that he couldn't influence anything in APC until he left power. If Obi fails to deliver Anambra to his party, that would be used against him in the future by his adversaries |
This shows the state of human capital development in Nigeria. The quality of humans in Nigeria is terribly low. Go to Oshodi and see how the magnificent and gigantic structure Ambodi built has been subjected to abuse by Agberos, homeless people, Abokis and all manners of human beings. Human development comes before infrastructural development. If you do the later before the former, the former will mess up the later as it doesn't understand the essence of the structure. |
A typical Nigerian politician. You are criticizing the government you are part of. What stopped him since from resigning? He made mistake to have accepted the appointment. Someone that was rooting for Atiku to win and stood on the fence for LP, as his younger brother was the running mate. Tinubu dangled the stick and he hung onto it, as if his life depended on it. Now, he is a spent force and Tinubu has discarded him. I wonder the mouth he would use to talk. Sometimes, it is better you preserve and maintain your integrity, if any, by not talking or associating with people or association that their views and ideologies are not consistent with yours. Tinubu should have fired him than given him the opportunity to resign. |
Umahi, you should have done better. I hate bosses like you ![]() Bosses that are fond of throwing their subordinates under the bus just for their own selfish ego. Must you mention that it was the president that asked you to come to Lagos. So, if the President had not asked you to come to Lagos, you wouldn't have bothered? ![]() I am still hurting from the Wednesday gridlock. It killed off my whole energy. I pity those that commute to work everyday in Lagos. I can't try it again, never! |
Authorities in Nigeria are not good at managing traffic. These guys could have worked throughout the public holidays and weekends. People were subjected to terrible frustration, stress and inconveniences today. I really felt bad coming to island today. I thought traffic won't be much as many people would want to stay at home after the eid holidays. |
See title, "Popular Billionaire Heiress ". Nigerian bloggers! ![]() |
Too much grammar with innuendos ![]() Bayo should use simple English and straight to the point to communicate to us "Retreat", "Reflection", "Fortnight" and "appraise" are not common words that could be easily understood ![]() |
This is the reason why some international testing centers do not use Nigeria as a venue. The penchant for fraud in Nigeria is terrible. If British Council is not handling IELTS themselves, the exam for don cast since. Go to CBT centers and see how schools, parents and center owners are conniving during JAMB exams. |
My solar giving maximum output Nothing compares to a solar that is working at an optimum installed capacity If I open my freezer during hot afternoon, when the solar is at it peak, the freezing dew and "smoke" that the freezer emits cannot be compared to NEPA or Gen Solar is a clean energy, as long as you have your inverter working optimally, Battery performing at its peak and the solar regulator doing the yeoman's job, you are good to go I am on band A and we have up to 20 hour light. But I don't connect to NEPA during the day as I use my solar. I connect to NEPA around 1am at night to use my AC. |
That referee should be suspended by the international boxing federation. A boxer fell not because of impact of knock received but by strange body movement and he was busy counting. I have watched many bouts where the boxer unilaterally fell down and the referee stopped the match immediately for medical first aid. This one was busy given counts. |
