ayoku777: I've read the book of Enoch and the Book of Jasher and I think I get what FOLYKAZE is trying to say. If biblical books that are inspired by the Holy Spirit used this other books as references, shouldn't that mean those books too are authentic? Unless you're saying the Holy Spirit is using heresis to reference scripture, coz the book of Joshua referred to the book of Jasher and Jude referred to Enoch.

There was also this account in Jude 1:9 where Micheal fought with the Devil over the body of Moses. We don't have this story in any of our 66 books today. I think its obvious that what the generation of the apostles called scripture was bulkier than our own bible today. And while we are free to keep an open mind like I do when I read this other books, we need maturity to balance truth

I am a Christian and I don't particularly consider the Yoruba traditional religion as being necessarily evil. I believe that there are persons who practice the religion in good fate and try as much as possible to live right in line with the dictates of good conscience.

'Good' and 'Evil' are more or less products of our intentions and I believe firmly that it is quite wrong to associate these to a people on the basis of their religious or non-religious affiliations. I am of the opinion that good or evil should be attributed to the individual instead, and should be done on a case by case basis.

I don't know why some 'religious' folks equate Esu with the devil but what I do know is that Esu is associated with death and for this reason he is one deity that a lot of persons (including 'traditionalists') love to hate. Similarly, some Christians believe that Satan is the harbinger of death and maybe this is the reason why some conveniently equate Esu with Satan.

P.S. I had to go back a few pages, and something struck me from the exchange between you two. While FOLYKAZE implicitly entertained the idea that his 'jazz' could fail, mazaje on the other hand, was fully confident that it WOULD fail.

By acquiescing to the demands of the skeptics here and accepting to use a goat instead of a human, it means that even FOLYKAZE himself recognizes the apparent fallibility of his so-called 'jazz'. After all, from our apparent anthropocentric worldview, any harm done to a goat is 'nothing' compared to the life of a human.

I don't know about you guys, but supposing I made a claim that if I smash a glass plate on a concrete floor, it wouldn't break; no amount of pressure from skeptical folks would change my stance or make me accept to substitute my demonstration with a wooden plate instead.
