The president indicated that the total sum of N228 billion should be deducted from the N578 billion projects introduced into the budget by the National Assembly, which the presidency claimed were inserted into the 2018 budget by the National Assembly. ![]() The president has put these scavengers called senators in a very tight corner. So the padded bugdet is returned to them for reversion. They saw it coming that looting reserve is been channeled into the Nigerian's benefit. Their jackpot is been broken and the largesse kept from the people is been returned to the people they stole it from. That is a masterstroke from Buhari. He is drowning them in theiw own greed. So they saw it coming and quickly went on recess... Those who berated President Buhari for signing the 2018 budget after acknowledging that some constituency projects were illegally infused should see this. It is not politics all at all. It wad all about money and financial matters. Now the chunk the legislooters keep hope on for their own election is been hijacked from them. They better reconvene the House or majority of the house will forcefully sack both Saraki and Dogara for negligence of National issue. Election and Security matters are on their desk and the only thing they could think of is recess. They all should better seat in the plenary or they got sacked. We can talk about the legality afterward. |
No drainage nah |
A big kudos to the government of the people if truth |
Ugosample:Legislature is not Executive where the deputy takes the mantle after the demise of his principal. When Saraki goes, Ekweremadu follows. Chikena |
igwefivestar:Ejections of moles. Social development, infrastructure growth, economy balance and restoration of security |
Nathdoug:Who says court won't hear your case if you charge them? |
billgatexp:Your argument doesn't make sense. Kalu case is still ongoing. He lost some appeal recently. And he has not been acquitted. So argue with yourself |
yinnyme:Bill Gate has a school cert. Zukerberg is a drop out. They run a good business. Again school certification does not determine how to run business successfully or lead a nation. |
Eagle75:How was Saraki elected in the first place? Were the APC members in the plenary? |
Saraki should be impeached for negligence of duty if he does not reconvene the senate. The election is six months away and fund has not been approved by the Senate. Let us forget about 2/3 of the house. He got voted without 2/3 of the full house and should not be suprised if the APC senate members alone impeach him. The aftermath will be taken to court |
tiredoflife:Your father Ojukwu is cursed |
AroleOduduwa:But yoi can advocate for resignation of Deputies? |
Mynd44:I will need to read more on this particular law. We've seen cases of 2/3 rep members sitting in the plenary impeaching Governors. We've seen cases of 2/3 senate member sitting electing their president. 2/3 of those present in the plenary impeaching the SP shouldn't be a prob. They can argue the legality in court afterward. Olorun APC senate Leader is too dull for my liken. |
AroleOduduwa:Poster can have any name printed on it. It is not INEC material and not guided by law. So much soms even put their unofficial name like Nicknames. It doesn't have any meaning. INEC declare results by mentioning name of the candidate and the party they belong to. We've had cases of where candidates have almost same name. The returning officer will name and THE NAME OF THE PARTY the candidate belong to. This is why we have Party Agents on board and not candidate agent to monitor the process. And for your dishonesty, ballot paper has the name and logo of the Party. It does not include the name of the candidate. This inevitably means the mandate belongs to the party and not the candidate. You were calling some people hypocrites but your own hypocrisy is rare to find. Only a hypocrite will support the resignation of deputies but would want the governor to retain his office after defection. |
Mynd44:2/3 of what? Senate on seat in the plenary or of the full house? I repeat, with the election fund not approved yet, he will be impeached by 2/3 of senators who are present in the plenary. It is negligence of duty. The fallout will be settled in the court. |
Kingosytex:Always looking for reasons to wail |
Mynd44:Just my view Saraki should be impeached for negligence of duty if he does not reconvene the senate. The election is six months away and the senate has not approve the fund yet. Failure to approve the fund mean election won't hold which is a threat to our democracy. Let us forget about 2/3 of the house. He got voted without 2/3 of the full house and should not be suprised if the APC senate members alone impeach him. The aftermath will be taken to court |
vanbonattel:In your dream. APC has been winning all states except in Anambra where thry came second and PDP got third. Election is not won by mere wishful thinking |
Saraki should be impeached for negligence of duty if he does not reconvene the senate. Let us forget about 2/3 of the house. He got voted without 2/3 of the full house and should not be suprised if the APC senate members alone impeach him. The aftermath will be taken to court |
AroleOduduwa:Are you a Nigerian? On which Ballot did you find Candidates name? You guys just be dishonest with yourself. After the primary election, cabdidates are given the party flag which mean representing of thr platform they held the flag. The party flag is given to candidate by the Party leader. And the only symbol of this is that this particular candidate is representing a party. On the Ballot, the only thing you are going to find is Party name and logo. It does not have candidate name on it. I wonder if you have ever voted in any election in Nigeria. The electorate voted for the party and not any candidate. If you can advocate for the resignation of Deputies for decamping, the same logic should apply for a Governor who got the people mandate by belonging to a platform. |
Metuh:Kalu case is in court. You can argue with yourself. |
AroleOduduwa:Did the electorate voted for Tambuwal or APC? Whose name is on the Ballot? If he thinks he can win alone, he shouldn't have joined any platform you know. |
SawOnPedia:1. He has worked many timed against the party. Padding budget and wasting approval time. Harassing President Appointees and been at loggerhead with the executive. 2. The Party didn't make him the Senate President. He convened with opposition and stole the mandate. 3. Yes. It is legal to be on break but not when they have a responsibility they have to deal with. The president sent them Election budget and it was not looked into. And I ask, whay is there duty if they can't approve fund for election that is six month away? 4. Legislature is not a school where you can have break after an academic year. Even the president has to hand over to his vice before embarking on vacation. If they can't do their jobs and think they can go to recess as they like, they should forfeit their salaries and entitlement for not doing their job. 5. Saraki should be impeached for negligence of duty if he does not reconvene the senate. Let us forget about 2/3 of the house. He got voted without 2/3 of the full house and should not be suprised if the APC senate members alone impeach him. The aftermath will be taken to court |
mistyMen:Majority my foot |
AroleOduduwa:The people you called 'dunce' actually voted for him. They did this after he joined a platform they trusted. So he won gubernatorial election with support from this platform and thinks he has to leave because he has ambition to become President. What has really changed that made him return to another platform? Shouldn't the people that voted him ask questions? The voters thumbprinted APC on the ballot paper, not Tambulwa right? So if he doesn't trust the party again, he should drop their mandate. It is as simple as that. Deputy Governor in many states have resigned before Joining another party contrary to what their principal belongs to. We saw it play out in Kano State recently. Now explain why a State Governor who was trusted with a mandate because he belong ti a party would not resign before joining another party. As the case maybe, my argument is that electorates voted for party not candidates. |
thesicilian:The party name is on the ballot paper, not aspirant name |
dukie25:Wherr did you read in the post that the probing had stopped? |
Lagosfinder:Last time I check, Kalu is a member of APC and his corruption case is in the Court. Two prominent members of the APC were to the prison for corruption cases hanging on their neck. APC didn't overlook their crime because they were in their camp. So your submission is wrong. Akpabio will join APC but his crime will not be exonerated. He is an Asset and will be welcomed. You should rather sit up on how to win Akwa Ibom in the next gubernatorial election |
Cajal:PDP is joke and does not seem ready for the election. From the look of things, they are on two fronts. Fronting challenge from Isiaka of APC and Omisore of SDP. The other major aspirants have better chances to becomes a Governor in Osun state than Adeleke junk that they are presenting. So they know all these and presented him just to count their lose |
yinnyme:Qualification of Leader is not necessarily education. Mugabe has the best form of Education in the world, got more degree and professional certification but he became a dictator and ran Zimbabwe aground. |
Papa Awolowo of blessed memory saw it all. Ages ago! " For the progressive to be in power they need the support and collaborations of some conservative. After attaining power the conservative would, on their own, walk away. The progressive would now build a great party that would move the nation forward.."~ Chief Obafemi Awolowo |
The GEJ he gave us threw Nigeria into abyss of corruption. So Baba Ota, thanks for the greek gift. We are taking our oil well away from you, TY Danjuma, IBB and other military past leaders. |
