Nah. Don't worry about lodging me anywhere. I will lodge myself when the time comes. Hopefully I should be free enough to want to visit Akure before the end of the year so I will branch Ore when I am around.
But remember it must be in Ore town. If u start telling me that it is in one remote village nearby I won't follow u. I will let u know when I am ready
I promise we won't go beyond Ore. Looking forward to when you will be ready

@Folykaze this your story is hilarious. And very awfully suspicious.

Why didn't Ifa just tell him who stole the meat instead of the continuous prodding he had to do? Seems like baba was buying time so the gunpowder concoction will react and spontaneously combust. The man himself that the thing burnt his hand could have an alibi so the baba diverted attention to the dog. At least the dog will be unable to dispute it. Smart baba.

I will like to see him try it in a scientifically set up environment with similar scenario if the stuff will burn accurately 4 times out of 5 attempts.

I wish I had time on my hands like I did early this year. I would have invited u to bring the baba to a neutral place let us test his abilities.
Well, I don't have answer for your question on why Ifa didn't go straight pointing the person.

Do we need to go back and forth? Take your time and come to Ondo state Oga. I will take care of your lodge in any Hotel in Ore. We can go there and examine this act. Anything else you say won't be taken serious unless you take the challenge. Afterall it is harmless.

Did you witness all these, if no you have no point and if yes you might just be seeing magical tricks. I wonder why it's not used in investigative department in the force.
You could see how I intentionally detail the narrative. It shows I witnessed it and incidence like that had happened not thrice but so many times. The man accurately poined out thieves.

Can you prove what he did is trick? You can come to Ondo state to do the debunk.

tintingz:
You said you didn't witness when they were been attacked, you have no point, sorry bro.

And how did you conclude x-ray won't detect the objects, have you experiments it before or you just assume?
. I said I have not seen an attacker initiating an attack but I have seen victim of attacks. It is not important to know a gunner but I can know the person hit. Not so? The victim is a family member and another friend. Both of them are available for interrogation. You can get the job done instead of disputing facts because you are ignorant of what happen world beyond four corners of your room.

I was there when my Aunt was taken to the Hospital. I was there when she was withdrawn and transferred to traditionalist house. I saw the xray result and also the metals the Baba removed. I saw the injuries and cut on her body. I saw her dying fast in days until she was withdrawn from the hospital. If you do not experience these things, then please move out of your closet and do some findings. Things unexplainable happens. Yes they are nature manipulation but please go out there and have some experience. I do not need to tell you shocking things I saw. Once read someone experience about Itagba here on nairaland. Oga do your findings.

tintingz:
@bolded, talk more of Poseidon or is it orisha Oshun or Yemoja?
There arrogance set in. You lack knowledge and detest knowledge not founded in modern science. What you don't understand is modernity evolve from somewhere. Spirituality begats science.. Yes. The Alchemy, a spiritual science evolve to Chemistry of today science. Geomancy, astrology, physics and earth science have their root in temples of Gods. You can dispute that all you wish.

Before modern science, people burn some leaves just to stop rain from falling. The knowledge is well recorded and have been modernized as weather modification. The crude scientific method used by our people also works. Please do your investigation before coming out to display your ignorance. Na leaves dem dey burn, no high tech machine needed. He dey work fine.

tintingz:
Your second paragraph shows how people believe things out of ignorance( argumentum ad ignoratiam).
LOL. It is rather intelligence.

They rather call their disease, god just like some call some energy or idea god.

You haven't disputed the fact that they created a disease and use it in a biological warfare.

tintingz:
I've also predict things and it's accurate, should i be forming professor X or Mr psychic?
Should we because the local midwife is not educated and use crude tools like herbs and scrubs for treatment most which she can't explain but works mean we should disregard and stop trusting her skill? Shouldn't you if wise enough explore and expand more on this skill?

Let me add she test baby in the womb by touching stomach and prescribe herbs, and food to make the baby healthy. Trust me I saw result.

And weeks before birthing, she prepared some concoction for bath to ease birth. I saw the results myself. I am the husband here dude.... I was there all through.

Disputing these things show how insincere you are

tintingz:
We have animals predicting things, we have people who are good at cold reading, we have psychologist as well, it's not new and not a thing to be taking very serious like it's kind of magical or supernatural. We have seen failed predictions by people who claim to have super-powers.
You have a problem. Comprehension issue. Where did I say what anyone do is magic or supernatural? I am only advocating for more exploration and studies of these knowledge we allow to waste. Herbs work good and fine. Investigate the chemicals that make it work. Work on preservation and improving on these local medicines.

Juju works but I see it as a crude form of science that needs to be refined and polished.

tintingz:
Yeah, it's more like a science-trick.
How can you make it pure-science? That is the talk

I've challenged people who claim juju exist to bring forward anyone with juju, we will sign a consensual agreement, I will look for a very sharp cutlass and place it on the testee hand, or look for a shortgun and use it on the testee leg. Till date no one has presented anyone, I'm disappointed.

Juju is fake, magic trick that's useless, if juju actually works we should have been among the Group of seven(G7)!
Lol.

But let us be serious here please.

How do you explain a situation whereby Babalawo identify a thief by just putting a gun powder on the suspects hand? This particular feat still marvels me till tomorrow because I dont have logical explanation for it. It is accurate from my record. Even recently, an issue happened with the head of my street and his co-settlers in their farm. The Chief killed an antelope which he fried and kept indoor. The next day, on returning home from his field, he couldn't find his meet. So he came home angrily and invited his Awo popularly called Baba Eletu. When the man arrived, he asked the chief to invite his suspects. Chief had to made a call across and ensured that all the settlers gathered in his house in the city. The Eletu get to work, put some gun powder in the suspects hand and ask them to confess or their hand will burn. Nothing actually happened to them. So he quickly consulted his Ifa and deduced that the real culprit is among the suspects but there is a missing link. So he asked for if the Children and Servant of the suspects stole the fried meat, and applied the gunpowder in their hands, still nothing happened. He asked again if the their dog of the suspect ate the fried meat, and like a flash, one of the men suspected hand burn.

The point is, he did not steal the meat, his children or servant did not, but his dog did which this art dug out. On many occasions, the Eletu grants permission to onlookers to try this art just to prove he is authentic. And note that it has been tested and proven 100% working except in cases where the suspected persons are not the real culprit.

There is another thing called 'Atagba' in my dialect. Don't know what it is called in other tongue. It is a form of attack that remotely push some items into the body of a victim. I have not witnessed when an attacker initiates an attack but I have personally seen many victims of this attack.

You don't need to believe this. When issue like this happen, Doctors who know about it mostly refer the victims to tradition who will remove these projectile and heal them of any interal injuries. What are these projectile? Nail, pin, animal teeth, cowrie, metal and so many dangerous things. And the funny thing is, xray won't be able to detect these things in the victim body. This form of attack is common among Ikale, Edo and Akoko.

There are thinkers, philosophers and nature observers in Africa before the Intruders came to us. War is a common thing back in those days and one cannot deny form of weapon these people invented and used. Please do not take away the fact that they can manipulate nature and divert rain to fall elsewhere. They invented diseases to fight their enemies. Chickenpox is a good example. They inflicted othet community and people with it so as to weaken them before launching attack. Chickenpox was idolized and called Sonponna. In this age that we can cure the disease, Sonponna worship has dropped drastically.

This happened to me. A local midwife accurately predict the sex, date of birth and health condition of my wife pregnancy by merely touching her stomach. The so called scanning machines provided contradicting sex and date of delivery result. The DOD from thr hospital esp is about two weeks ahead. Shouldn't we give kudos to the Mama and help her improve her skill? Shouldn't we investigate her knowledge and expand more on it?

I won't deny these facts. These feats are crude science if examined. However, people blow things out of proportion. Juju is a form of science that needs to be critical studied.

Yes bro. You only need to soak garri (white) in a neat lime water for some minute. And drink it afterward. A doctor once told me the solution contains some chemical that treats Malaria but personally I don't have knowledge of what exactly the chemical is but it works.

I don't think there is a single atheist or even a large group of mocking atheists on Nairaland brave enough to scatter any spiritual shrine of a Babalawo.

It would be very unwise of atheists to even plan this because the spirits serving the Babalawo will pick it up beforehand and cripple them before they get near the shrine.
Atheists can plan their attack a thousand miles away and yet not be safe.

All theist know one spiritual unbroken law - Distance is not a barrier.
We actually have Evangelists, Imam and even Traditionalist who denounced there spirituality for a new religion destroying Shrine across all across Africa and we can both attest that there is no report that there actions have any effect either positive or negative. Personally, I have seen an Ifa initiate who threw his Opele into the river. I have also seen cases where fetish stuff are been burnt. I have seen Law enforcement officers dragging Babalawo, with all his amulets, charm and all, out of his shrine and thrown into a waiting bus. I have seen cases where a son destroyed his father shrine because of some family issues.

From my own doing, with the company of an Oniosanyin's son, I dismantled Osanyin in an attempt to known what is talking inside it. I ate Epo Obo in my secondary school days trying to investigate if I am a witch (never knew until after that there are some chemicals in the herb that actually made me vomit). I am born and brought up in a locality where I have access to all form of traditional spiritualities and imported religion so I am in a position to tell you that, from what I have experienced, these diabolic acts are practical pre-scientific experimentation which locals blow out of proporton.

Truth must be told, there are some acts esp medication and healing have scientific explanation. My treatment for Malaria, Garri and lime water, was prescribed to me by a Babalawo in my locality. And I can confirm that the chemistry helps my health so much. My Dad in so many occasions have sat me down and instruct me on how to use some herbs. The only worries I have with him is that those herbs mixture which he probably learnt for someone is attributed to a Deity or giving some supernatural attributes.

While I have visited some Babalawo for some personal issues, some of those things they do marvels me alot. That is because I have a limited knowledge in their acts. My conclusion is that these acts are mere 'crude science', and needs to be refined so that those mythical fantasy can be removed.

Things mysterious and unexplained happens. I have seen so many and many lot to see. However, almost alll the things said about juju are bullshiitee.

See them dashing in with their jars of vaseline in hand to w'ank all over this thread. It's funny how these hardcore Igbo haters are so desperate to link at least one project in the SE to their god. It's pathetic that three years after being sworn in to office, this is all he has to show....a couple of concrete pillars!

Meanwhile, the Kaduna-Abuja rail line started by GEj is signed, sealed and delivered; the Lagos-Ibadan rail line is being constructed at the speed of light; the Abuja metroline started by GEJ is almost complete; a contract will soon be signed to deliver gas to Kano from Ajaokuta while Onitsha and Nnewi that are practically sitting on gas are bypassed; Kano, Kaduna and Abuja airports are being done up nicely for international operations; dry ports are being opened all over the North, and yet Ndigbo should jump for joy over a couple of concrete pillars that prove according to these Igbo haters that Buhari loves Ndigbo and is treating us fairly and on equal terms with others!
Jonathan made numerous promises to Ndigbo but we have come to know that his promises are forgotten the moment he is done reading his speech. Name them: dredging of the River Niger and completion of the Onitsha Inland port (the twain haphazardly executed and abandoned); the dualisation of the Enugu-Abakaliki highway, construction of a dry port in Aba and completion of the power plants in Alaoji and Egbema, to name just a few. Today, there is no power plant functioning in the entire southeast, the private effort by Prof. Barth Nnaji is being frustrated and the much celebrated international airport in Enugu is no better than a wretched domestic wing of an airport.

My good friend, you should have pointed out anything that you observed in my previous post that is wrong. I hold a strong believe that you cannot counter and debunk any of my ground up there.

Recession was inevitable. We didn't arrive at recession overnight. The bad policies of past government was what led us into the horrible economy tragedy. It started from the moment past government couldn't diversify the economy. And the corruption plus wastage of the previous government all contributed to recession. The two economist, Soludo and Sanusi predicted the economic doom. Oby and Okonjo Iweala also trumpted warnings against wastage and inability of GEJ government to save.

In the word of Soludo:
Jonathan's record on the economy is a clear ‘F’ grade.
The poor choices made by the current government have mortgaged the future, and the next government would have little room to manoeuvre and would inevitably undertake drastic but painful structural adjustments. Nigerians loathe the term ‘structural adjustment’. With falling real wages and depreciating currency, I can see any belated attempt by the government to deal with the bloated public sector pitching it against a feisty labour. I worry about regime stability in the coming months, and I do not envy the next team.

Even when FFK had his brain intact, he said:

The difference is that under Obasanjo it was ”save, save, save” whilst under Yar’adua and later Jonathan it has been ”spend, spend, spend’. Yet if they insist on spending the question is what do they have to show for such high expenditure and what has this cost the Nigerian people in real terms.
The Federal Government saved nothing for a rainy day and instead chose to just spend all the money.

Boko haram took over more than 21 lga, bigger than the sizs of Belgium, but today, those territory have been overtaken by the Government.

How many coordinated attacked on military formation, barracks and school have you heard recently?

The government was subsidizing imported rice. That single action killed local industries and thrown job opportunities to foreigners. Before GEJ left, bag of rice cost ₦12000. And today, it cost ₦15000. The joy here is that Nigeria is producing rice, through which many are been employed and many mouth can feed. Rice mill is also springing up here and there. It is a sign that the turn is in favor of Nigerians on the long run. As production increases, price will fall. The most important thing is we are looking inward for our food.

You have forgotten how Buhari paid those debts and ordered them to return on site. You have forgotten that the second Nigeria bridge was built and commissioned on paper by GEJ. You have soon forgotten Buhari is making some progress on the said bridge. At present, that bridge is 46% completed and work is ongoing. You my dear have short memory.

Buhari was very right to review the contract handled to those companies. He is not a drunkard that just throw money around. Cost of construction, arrears and debt must be evaluated before work can continue. That is what a serious government do.

Not even a thing can be pointed to that they do except looting and jamboree.

Buhari is performing below expectation but he is still doing something better than previous Govt. I will admit there are room to do more. However, he has performed more than any PDP candidate that has ever ruled this country. Buhari made three promises which encompass security (fighting boko haram), revamping the economy, and investing on infrastructure. These are his words in chatham house during the campaign period. On these promises, he has scored above average evn though he can do more.

On Security: Boko Haram have been decimated. Abuja today is liveable unlike in the past when parks and churches bombing was rampart. The chibok girls are been rescued, Daphic girls rescued, the seized land restored under the sovereignty of the Federal Republic. The security threat from the IPOB too was cut in the nip. The only problem will have is Fulani menace which the security are working all round to bring an end too. Back in the days, Kidnapping is top notch, robbery on highway was common, militancy and bunkering was common but today, they are minimized.

On Economy: Nigeria came out of recession within a period of one year. That fit alone should make folks like you give him some applause. The foreign exchange which was depleted by previous government is now growing. It was $26b then and now $47b. That is more than 100% growth within 3yrs. Importation of food have been reduced, with local production gracefully encourage and improving. The Government today does not owe salary or borrow to pay salary despite the low income. TSA arguably has improve the government revenue with lot of loopholes and leakages blocked. We now earn more than we ever gotten in sixteen years from NPA, tax and other agency remittance to the Government. BOI is investing heavily on Youths. NIS too is paying stipend to unemployed youths to make them understand that they ain't forgotten. Billions of naira are been recovered. Properties gotten from stolen public fund are been siezed. The ease of doing business have made many start-up to jump start. On economy, I give Buhari pass.

Infrastructure: You do not want me to go there. With the Sukuk bond, our roads are now taking shape with the heavy funding. The rails too are been financed. More funding is been pumped into Electric installations across the country, and today, we've gotten 7000mw unlike 3000mw we had in previous regime. Construction is on full blast because contractors are back on field and all backlogs paid. We now have construction ongoing in the west, east, central and north simultaneously.

WhileI admit that Buhari could do more, the little he has done surpass what any previous government achieved. Moreso, you keep shouting youth this and that. Did Buhari stopped you from bringing forward any youth of your choice? And who is this youth you guys keeping ranting about?

Just because you not understand economics, does not make it junk. The socio-economic indices for 1999-2015 are there. The socio-economic indices from 2015 are also there.

I've already made my case that PDP shepherded the Golden Era of Nigeria's socio-economic Renaissance from1999-2015.
That is a fact, not an opinion.
Show us this economic indices you keep ranting about. I personally do not fancy your grammar. Bring on facts and figures.

Op the first military coup was as a result of corruption, pdp did not start corruption and since 2015 corruption have not reduced one percent but is on the rise.but under pdp hunger and hardship was not so high, we will vote personality and not pary, buhari have failed ,I thought Apc would have change buhari for a younger, stronger, more educated and new millennium leader.I wish Nigerians will decide well this time, but was a mistake. ..
Hunger was so high among you lazy youth only. What do you expect the government to do for you? Feed you or give you free money without working?

The previous Govt borrowed money to pay salary even when the price of oil relatively high. How come the new Government is issuing out bail out fund to states to pay off their debt?
Remember that this government is not borrowing to pay anybody.

Despite the low income, the government is increasing the foreign reserve, a feet the previous government could not achieve at the disposal of high oil price.

The current government is working hard to diversify the economy. Currently, there is increase in the revenue generated from non oil sector. Agriculture is taking shapes and home grown product are been encouraged to dislodge crazy importation that led us into trouble years back. Today, we are having decreased importation of food. At least, food importation has been decreased to more than 30% even more is needed to be done. We need to cultivate our food instead of enriching other fellas in foreign countries.

My dear, there has always been hunger. The remedy of hunger is getting food on the table which meaning working and earning. You cannot sit your azz in a room and blame the government for not feeding you. This is not 1950s where govt provides you food to eat without doing nothing. You have to work and eat.

Big big laugh.

On the contrary my dear friend, it clear that you have a very rudimentary understanding of economic matters.
You highlighted that fact when you stated that Yar'Adua had to subsidize fuel fuel prices and imported rice.

Lol. grin grin
First of all, must people, you and Buhari included, still do no understand what a fuel subsidy is.

Fuel is subsidized when the price of oil( refined gasoline) in the international market is higher than the pump price in Nigeria. This makes it unprofitable for importers to import fuel. The government steps in and pays the importers the difference between their cost price in the international market and the pump price I'm Nigeria.
Therefore , the higher the international price of Oil, the more subsidy the FG pays for fuel imports.
Conversely, the lower the international price of Oil, the less the subsidy, until the subsidy payment are ZERO.
Therefore, My friend, it makes no sense what you said that the FG under Yar'Adua paid subsidy for fuel when oil was at it's lowest price in a decade.
That is mathematically and factually incorrect.

Also, like I said before, I have never heard of FG paying subsidy on rice imports.
That , again , would make ZERO sense considering that such funds could have been well invested in local rice production.
You are neither here nor there. Wasted my time reading the junks you put up there.

Provide reasonable reasons why we should vote PDP back in 2019, we don't need your prejudice and economic jargon.

Also I should point out that overwhelming majority of atheists and irreligious people I know in real life actually put on a façade of being a theist to others due to the same fear (which isn't unfounded)
Nigeria has tons of fanatics and religion extremists who cannot fathom and absorb denial of God from anybody. I know this because I have challenged a pastor in the church once. The sibject was Esu been Satan. Many of the church members who greeted and welcomed me deserted me. Also, when, i was looking for job. I knew my boss was a fanatic church decon. She asked me which church I attended. She doesn't want to know if I were a Christian or Muslim. I simplh told her CAC and she asked me to join her in RCCG. I have to agree just to have pay. After many years, I had to reveal my non-acceptance of religion slowly and without hurting her. That is how things work pending the time people will not be judge base on religion
