FamilyRe: Virgin Husbands! by forgiven(m): 5:37am On Oct 16, 2006
If you go by my own definition of virgin, all men are virgins! So all ladies are lucky because they all married or will marry virgins but not all men would marry or married virgin though a good number of men are lucky.

EducationRe: Covenant University Students Are Forced To Take Hiv And Pregnancy Test! by forgiven(m): 5:01am On Oct 16, 2006
I don't think it is the biz of the school if a student is pregnant or not. HIV test can be understood cos if u want to seek employment in an organisation, u will be asked to do the hiv test. Coming out positive does not mean a denial but pregnancy test - for what?

BusinessRe: You Do Not Need Money To Start A Successful Business by forgiven(m): 7:14am On Oct 14, 2006
I strongly agree that you do not need money to start a successful Biz. You can only call a bussiness successful after you have started it and not wj\hile planning it. I am yet to meet someone planning an unsuccessful business. I believe if you have a good vision and have a good way/plan of excution, your problem is minimal if there is any at all.
Let me use myself as an example. i ama trained Geologist with a BSc. I had a vision to be on my own within the shortest possible period. To achieve this, during my NYSC I saved all my money, the little allawee and with it started a small poultry. By the time I finished my NYSC the poultry was providing my income to run around as I am 'too proud' to ask parents or uncles and aunties for money after graduating.
To the next level of my plans, I started looking around for people who need borehole. Mind you, I don't know a thing about borehole drilling (at least then) other than what I learnt in a three month IT with a borehole company. When I get people, I will go and meet a borehole company and tell them I have a job with them. I collect the contract from the client, take my cut and give the change to the company to go and drill. I was doing the same for some products too, linking buyers and sellers.
That was how I raised my money and now my biz is growing. Good thing I have a job with a good company now and that will reduce the time I set for myself to be totally independent.
Brothers and sisters, you don't need money to start a biz. All the best.
Christianity EtcRe: 101 Contradictions In The Bible by forgiven(m): 7:08am On Oct 14, 2006
In reply to your post of the hundred and one contraditions in the Bible, I would suggest you do your reseach very well before you publicly come out with any fact, be it wrong or right. I have not gone through all you wrote here in the Bible but will definitely take my time to go through them.
However, I would suggest that before you come out with a sensitive topic like this, try and gather your group of researchers and lay your hands on the original version of the Bible from which other translations were made. If you see all these contradictions in the original Bible, the very first one that was written by the people inspired by God then you can now openly open your mouth to talk.
Who knows, people like you could have gathered to make your own version and hence come up with such contraditions. The translation to different versions were by humans who of course are prone to making mistakes like u and I! It can't even be ruled out that mistakes came from the printers (I'm not saying that though)!
If you see the original manuscript that was written with ink and feathers on the scroll, use it as your basis of comparisim and come out with any contraditions.
Jesus is the only way, the earlier you know and accept this the better for you.
Have a great day and the best in all you do.
FamilyRe: Pastor Or Parents: Whose Decision Is Final On Marriage? by forgiven(m): 2:41am On Oct 13, 2006
Pastors and parents will not live with you. They can only advise based on what see or hear. They are not to decide for you. He who finds a good wife, is what the Bible says and not he whom a wife is given or decided for. I think urs is to find the wife of ur dream and ask them for their blessings. I believe the final decision on marriage is urs. You are the one the knows what you want in life and who you want to live life with. Prayerfully take charge of ur life from the begining and things will be okay with u.

Thanks for ur advise and contributions. I have sent several sms but seems it is not helping. I called her with other phones but once she hears my voice, she drops the line. I spoke with her close friend this afternoon and she said I should give her time that she's doing that all because of her shy nature. She's actually a very shy damsel but even at that, should it be this hard,
RomanceShe's Avoiding Me: by forgiven(op): 4:41am On Oct 12, 2006
I took her out and while we were having a nice time in one of these popular eateries, she farted whie laughing to a joke. A serious one oo that drew the attention of the occupant of the next table. The odour was truly bad but that is not my problem.
She ran out of the eatery and even since then has been avoiding me. She doesn't pick my calls again and anytime I go to her house, her sister tells me she's not at home even when she is (atleast I think she is).¨
Please advise me on how to make her understand that it was a natural thing that can happen to anyone. I need her and want her back. Help me.

dollie-pie:
my dear good bobo ,u need some real prayer and fasting before u go for d new interveiw,it happened to me too,i had all my papers but i was denied,i went there for like 8times before i was granted one .there was even one time i wanted to sleep @ their office because i was turned down and fed up,it was my mum that dragged me home that day and u want to no how much i wasted so far?bout 800,00n.my mum gave up but i didnt,i packed some stuffs and i went to a prayer mountain ,spent 21 days there came down and went for my 8th and last interveiw.
interveiwed by d person all through,i had a look of either -i die-here -2day-or -u give-me-visa look on my face, she was staring at me and i stared back at her without blinking, she checked whatever they checked on d screen, and asked me,u don't ever give up do u?i said i don't because that is not in my dictionary,my passport was collected and i was asked to come pick up my visa d ff week.had to start my admissions all over again, but that is nothing.
NOW if u no and u sure u have all d required document,u leave everything to God and see what hes going to do.
U have a good testimony there and that has inspired me. I think I will continue to try. I let go of the idea after the fourth denial without reasons. I mean I had a full scholarship from the school, an optional research grant and also an on campus job as a teaching assistant. The stipend from the teaching assistanship was more than my school fees (tution and other things) per annum. I had all they needed, my personal account plus a sponsor's account but they were like sorry, u don't qualify for a visa. The dean of graduate school spoke and wrote to them on behalf but still no visa - during my last interview (June last year), the interview said "seems like they really need you in this school or why would they keep a scholarship for you for three consecutive years, unfortunately I decide if you go or not and my decision is that u are not qualified." With this I gave up, after all I have a 'sweet' job in Nigeria. But with ur testimony, maybe I will give it more trials.

Housemaid are human beings too. Simply send the housemaid packing. Let your spouse explain why it happened. Analyse it together and conclude on way forward. Whether to part ways or to forgive and forget.

i was there in 1997 for about 6 months before i came bask , i stayed at port nomba it is a fishing area at the outskirt of libreviell , gabon is cool but they were hostile to nigerians. you will to hear this , THEY LIKE SEX A LOT , MOST OF THE LADIES ARE SINGLE PARENT , THEY ARE IN LOVE WITH THEIR BEER REGAB , MAKOSSA AND ALL NIGHT SEX .
Very correct there. It is typical of French people anyway. It's all about sex for their ladies.

Constantin:
onaisis, and you forget French champagne, upper and middle class in urban centres are heavy champagne drinkers. Believe me or not but Gabon held the record of champagne drinking per head in the 80´s IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. Even today they import French champagne like mad,
Separating Gaboness and champagne is like trying to separate women/ladies and mirror or better still, ibo girls and money. Till tomorrow Gabonees and champagne/beer are like mpnkey and banaana

CareerRe: Which Nigerian Bank Pays Best? by forgiven(m): 4:52am On Oct 06, 2006
Is it supposed to be a question of how much you have stated in your letter of employment or how much your take home is at the end of the month/year? I know guys who got letters of employment that reads mil per annum but take home has been 50K for the past five months that they join. Maybe they will get it after they complete their probation though, we don't knw. But a friend in another bank that completed his probation few months back did not make up to 60 percent of what he had in his letter. His second year is coming to a end in less than three month, he has not made 70 percent of what his letter stated so what are we talking? Think the take home pay should be considered and not the "paper pay",
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Ten Companies Called Me by forgiven(m): 3:57am On Oct 06, 2006
Everything started with God and so I will advise you like many people have, that you should stay real close to God. His timing is not ours. A lot of first class 2.1 holders are doing fine outside there, a lot of 2.2 too and a lot of 3. Also a lot of first class, 2.1, 2.2 and 3 are outside there looking for even an extra moral classes (evening lessons) to work. What am i saying, it is not a function of your grade. God has His own plan for everyone. You may as well go for delieverance. You never can tell, some forces (negative) may be at work in your life. In any case I will remember you in my prayers. Nothing is impossible with God. All the best
