I do not know my brother. It was so clear to any focused analyst. Hector Cuper trained to boy on defending and a direct approach won't work. Musa offered a direct approach, so did Aminu.

It was never going to work. Coach Siasia brought Echiejile in to continue the direct approach. My heart skipped as soon as he made that change.

This was just a nightmare.
Echijiele brought confidence to his team mates and that was why you saw them pouring forward in search of goal living three defenders at the back.

To tell d truth in dat first leg Aminu as AM/SS made more impact than Iheanacho. The only highlight of Iheanacho's game was d rattling of d wood work which is d only thing every1 here seems to b hinging on. So i would nt fault Siasia's choice of Aminu starting d AM position today.

I would personally have played Iheanacho at a more forward role with Iwobi behind him.

Siasia did nt trust d abilities of d young forwards bt ironically trusted d abilities of a young defender. I would have done d reverse if I was in dat position.
Experimenting players at this crucial stage is unacceptable. How can you bring a winger to play as an attacking midfielder just because you want to include him in the team to make ego?

Aminu Umar plays as a winger in his club.

Exactly. The team as a whole played very well. Jst that Siasia needs to work on his teams selection. The NFF technical committee needs to supervise him closely on dat one.

People shouting foreign coach, foreign coach. Quote me anywhere No top class foreign coach can work with d NFF except we are going for one low class Stankovic or Milosovic from one Eastern European country.
Most Nigerian coaches are business men and that's all. If they are ready to sacrifice their selfishness for National pride, i am ready to support them but for now bye bye to local Coaches. They are Nigeria worst nighmare.

Is there anyone on this thread who still thinks Echiejile was a better option than Amuzie. Please let that person identify himself.

Did you see how free Salah became as soon as Amuzie went off? Did you see Echiejile's woeful cross?

That guy is not close to the level a lot of people put him.
It seems you don't know how to read football.

The reason Amuzie was removed was because he can't read the movement of the Egyptians, he gave away alots of passes, his wing was the weakling, he doesn't add anything to the attack, he was rough and above all we had to defend with two players which rendered our attack impotent. But when Echijiele came in, the winger doesn't need to think of defending because they trusted Echijiele could do the work hence the created chances from the wings.

Can NFF afford a foreign Coach at the moment? NO!!!
The last time I checked, Lagerback, Vogtz ain't Nigerians! This is not about hiring a foreign Coach, rather believing in the local ones!
Siasia has done nothing wrong except we wanted to put the blame on him!
We gonna see the best of him in Brazil! He knows the Lads very well, and he's definitely gonna deliver with the Boys!
I stand with Icon4s, Siasia should fully take over of the Super Eagles after the Olympic.
He's the one to lead the Super Eagles to where we honorably belong in the World of Footie!
Which Super Eagles? Bros, abeg make em manage the U23. That's portion for nau.

Did you see the thread I wrote concerning the formation we should play? I already pointed out that we can not score with long thrust and we need more creativity.

It was the selection of the first eleven and strategy that hurt us.
So, whose fault was it or who should be blamed?

Am not a fan of foreign coach, but i think we need a very sound and intelligent foreign coach with the way our football is going.....so so so full of mediocrity or should i say sentiment or should i say naivety on the part of our local coaches. Garba comes to my memory with the way he destroyed the aspirations of our creative, flair, intelligent players over a pot of porridge, Siasia with all the love and admirations i have for him (in my own opinion still the best local coach for nigeria) just followed the same line of Amodu, Keshi, Manu Garba, and recently the inexperienced Oliseh ( igboun, and his likes...). Nigeria need a very experience, tested foreign coach that will not beclouded with ethnic, religious, and parochial entiment in selecting the best players at all time for my great and beloved country...****tears dropping....
My final submission, Amaju and his excutive members should throw in the towel for the good of my country....

We discussed this line-up on a previous thread and there was a general consensus against the Aminu fellow, evn my kid brother knew not to start that fellow.

Second time in a row that Siasia ensures we don't qualify for AFCON, well done to him and NFF. I hope we can all see how inefficient the man is as a Senior team coach

This is what you get when you have a selfish coach willing to trade his Nation for a pieces of bread. Amuzie was a waste. Aminu Umar was a waste. How can you leave your best players on the bench and you are expecting to get good results? He left out Echijiele for an in experienced Amuzie. He left out Moses Simon for Aminu Umar. He left out Onazi for an in experience Etebor and Okechukwu. What a coach.

And someone here is...... Mtcheeeeeeeee!

You said you have technical facts and you want me to prove with technical facts.

I said I prefer Amuzie and I am not a fan of Echiejile's game. I have seen Echiejile torn to shreds during an AFCON qualifiers and I doubt he can put in a better performance stopping Salah.

People scream Echiejile based on popularity. I prefer Juwon Oshaniwa who Coach Keshi who established Echiejile in the National team dropped Echiejile for.

Nigeria Vs Congo: Player Rating

Echiejile : His wing was exploited by the speedy Congolese. Poor overlapping. 3/10
https://www.nairaland.com/1891105/nigeria-vs-congo-player-rating

I am not saying Coach Siasia can not call Echiejile. That is his choice but I do not and can not see Echiejile dealing with the pace.

It is you calling Amuzie an eyesore because he is not playing regular games. I pointed out to you that a player can be good and not get regular games. Just like Morata and Pogba. Just like Pique at Man Utd.
.

Is playing for Man United and Real Madrid same as playing for an obsure division 2 club in Portugal?

Yaya Toure was not an established Superstar if not he would not have left due to limited playing time.

Pogba and Morata were reserve players.

Even if the person plys his trade on the bench in India, what matters is how he performs in training and during games.
Do you mean Yaya Toure first professional club was Barcelona?

Remember, Amuzie is playing his first professional football in Europe and in an obsure league?

Now, dechiper thou what i mean?

Pogba and Morata were no longer reserve players because they were already integrated and playing for the first team of one of the biggest and the best clubs in Europe. Find another thing talk

Amuzie had a good game Sir, I understand your point though. But its there for every one to see, that his game spoke for him. The guy was not intimidated by Salah. He kept an eye over him. If you want to use experience and club as the basis for your arguments, I will have less to say, but if you allow his game especially the one against Egypt to speak for him, then they would be no need to bring this issue up. The played well.
I think you somehow understood my point.

TYROONE EBUEHI EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH ADO DEN HAAG

https://i1.wp.com/owngoalnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/image-170.jpg?resize=300%2C200
20 year old Nigeria full back Tyroone Ebuehi has sign a new contract with Dutch Eredivisie side ADO den Haag extending his deal to the summer of 2018.

The club announced they extended his contract via their official website ending speculations about the future of the right full back who was born in the Netherlands but has a Nigerian father.

Ebuehi turned professional with ADO Den Haag last season and made 7 appearances but this season he has already better that tally by one more appearance with more matches to go before the league ends in Holland.

Known for his calmness and neat tackles he has only being booked once in the 15 games he has played in the Dutch top flight league.

He is eligible for Nigeria at international level through his father but he also qualifies to represent the Netherlands where he was born.

I agree with you 100% but note that we also have players like: Musa Mohammed, Sincere Seth, Shehu Abdullahi and John Lazarus who are all highly talented RBs and are readily available to don the Green and White Jerseys. We will start with these ones and then "attempt" at securing the switch in nationality for those ones you also mentioned.

Moses Odubanjo and Kingsley Ehizibue doesn't need to switch nationality before they play for Nigeria. It is only Kenneth Otigba and Tiago Ilori that need to switch Nationality.

My stand point is Solanke is not willing to play for Nigeria. So I dnt even consider him among the players to be called up for the Olympics.

I have told you that I was never of the opinion that Imoh Ezekiel should nt be invited to the Olympic team. Go back and check my team line ups I have most times included Imoh Ezekiel. If chrisooblog feels Imoh Ezekiel was average based on the facts he gave, I said let Imoh himself prove him wrong.
