My point stands. Statically speaking, Taiwo is far above Boniface.
Don't come here and start your propaganda Boniface is better.
If Boniface is better then he's better than Osimhen.
Some hypocrites who didn't rate Bundesliga when Awoniyi was shutting down their mouth have suddenly began to rate Bundesliga because of agenda.

zoboizee: The statement in bold is what have observed about Boniface. Sometimes a simple pass would have given his teammate opportunity to score but instead he would be twisting and turning or just shoot at goal. That's why he has so many shots at goal but mostly off target. He has the abilty to make lot of assist with his skillset. He needs to understand the need to pass the ball when his team mates are free in the box if he his closed down. Against Mozambique, a nod back to Umar would have led to a goal but he chose to tamely nodded to the goalkeeper (we can check Basco's video and any of Bony's highlights). In Leverkusen, they create lot of scoring chances, they are constantly moving into space and releasing the ball. Without him, they will still score lot of goals. But he brings a different dynamics, he is a striker who plays as a 7/8/9/10/11. I believe once Patrick schik is back to full fitness, Boniface will end up on the wings because he lacks that cut edge finishing. Meaning, he is still improving and not the finished product people want to portray him here. |

Recently, my son's team won AMAC competition. One of the coaches in his club scouted him and 6 other players to play for his personal owned club because his own players are overaged. One player from the original club is very fast and technical but he is a very selfish player. He would rather dribble or shot than pass to the nearest player. At the end of the competition, he was chosen for national team u15/16 and he won the highest goalscorer of the tournament though missed several glaring chances. On several occasions, the team were almost knocked out of the competition due to his selfishness but miraculously, they won the tournament. Back at the main club, he was immediately pulled out or told to keep once he displaces his galala dribbling. The last league match, the club lost the match because he refused to past on several occasions. No doubt, he will go up but how far? European football has gone beyond that. Technical ability is good but in modern football, tactical ability is over everything. Messi and Ronaldo wear both technical and tactical in their early years but as they grew, they became more tactical. But most Nigerian thinks technical ability will make you world class player. |

There are several times Awo get lost in games due to his limitations but Boni will keep you on the edge of your sit for solid 90 minutes (skills, faints, passes, dribbles, control etc). You will see Boni in different position getting involve in the game as 8/10/9/11/7. No dull moment. Boni is a different kind of beast! Find time to watch him in the Leverkusen team this weekend. Value for money! Okay. Hence, He is better than Osimhen and Haaland. Let us end it like that. |

chrisooblog: Controversial Forgiveness I've almost missed you
Now based on eye test Boniface is talent wise and ability ahead of Awoniyi. Victor's technical ability on the same ball is clear for all to see. If you're talking longevity and experience yes you can give it to Taiwo but it's only of recent over the past 2-3 years that Awoniyi has found his scoring boots.
Now as per playing at highest level yes EPL is bigger but the difference is not like day and night. Boniface plays for Leverkusen a top level German side involved in European competition. Nottingham Forest with due respect to them are a modest side. I can't say because you're doing well at Everton you are now better than someone top striking for Dortmund using EPL rating as excuse.
The only plausible argument you have is Boniface needs to be assessed over a longer period of time to see if he's the real deal but my brother based on what I've used my korokoro eye to see Victor has outstanding talent way ahead of Taiwo. Yes, based on eye test after surgery, Boniface is better than Osimhen too. Even pass Haaland because he can dribble like Maradona. You're right my none controversial brother. In football, consistency takes you to the highest level but from your own perspective, talent wise without consistency determines who is bettter. Point of correct, Taiwo has scored double digit goals from 2017/2018 season till date save 2019/2020 when he was loaned to Mainz and 2020/2021 when he was out due to injury. That was on the run of 5 goals and 3 assist. Which 3 or 4 years are you talking about? Do your mathematics well. Lastly, Union Berlin finished top 4 last season ahead of Leverkusun and we know Taiwo played for that same team prior to that season. Besides, Leverkusun no bi top club until they win the league. Nottingham forest has more laurel than Leverkusun. Your koroko eyes no correct. |

TheSuperNerd: Okay, Forgiveness and the rest of the house... kindly answer this honestly and to the best of y'all ball knowledge.
Based on player profiles and personnel synergy, who among these CF options look the best to pair Osimhen up top? Take into account the various tactical variations and their contributions to the 2nd phase plays.
- Kelechi Iheanacho - Taiwo Awoniyi - Victor Boniface - Sadiq Umar - Terem Moffi
Note: I don't even expect the same answers coz ball knowledge levels differ and perspectives on why some pick A or B would sound legit. Let the coach decides but if it's about using the best strikers, there's no way Taiwo will not be considered above the rest. The friendlies gave clue to how JP wants to play. Iheancho not considered as striker to him. Sadiq not in form. Moffi looks lost for now. Victor not bad but behind Taiwo for sure. JP will decide. |

I only listed 3 in the 100% certain 18. Doesn't that mean at most 2 CFs will make it to complete the other slots? A fit Awo will definitely make it but as things stand, Boniface is looking more and more like the guy to pair Osimhen in Jpes' preferred 442.

Somebody wey co-founded a bank, worked with world bank, was commissioner of finance etc doesn't have experience in economic policy formulation, abi? The job of the two-term Commissioner for Finance in Lagos State between 1999 and 2007 seems to be cut out for him. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of London, a Master’s in Economics from the University of Sussex, England, has achieved remarkable success in the financial sector at local and international levels. Edun worked at the World Bank/IFC where he handled economic and financial packages for several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, including the Dominican Republic, Trinidad, Indonesia, and India in the Far East. However, his new task of managing an economy with virtually all the economic fundamentals precipitously heading south requires extraordinary measures. Inflation is at an 18-year high, the local currency is completely battered, debt service obligations have reached unprecedented levels while revenue generation is abysmally low. With an additional responsibility to coordinate the economy, he is expected to quickly gravitate towards some framework for policy coordination with the monetary authorities. Focus should be how to navigate the economy away from dire straits, tame inflation, boost revenue and instil cost-cutting measures/wastages in public service. Now, that meet your requirements, do you still have others others you would like to present? |

18 places are assured so far. We still have about 8-10 slots to go. Or are you not confident Awo will easily get any of the other slots? The CF dept will see another CF picked aside the ones listed so far as 100% assured barring injuries.
