Rotimi47: Not true bro, I work in a multinational which consists of a lot of expatriate staff but I was next in line to one before; but by God grace and hard work, I now head that department and I have expatriates working under me. We need to know that every country in the world have intelligent/people with low intelligence, all humans have different level of intelligent quotient and we just have to develop ours. Nigerian are said to be one of the most intelligent people in the United States & to a larger extent the world: this is based on research made in the US. @bold is the point but is the government and Nigerians ready to put to use what these intelligent ones have got to offer? |

It is a big fat lie that we produce nothing but due to the fact that the government is not really serious about local production hence this ignorance. Nigeria produces: Wears( Shoes, bags, belt, suit and shirts), cars, pharmaceutical, furnitures, arts etcetera.

Francis5: IITA is not your "neighbourhood". It is locked up and secluded from your people. Only staff snd residents have access.
Besides, there are really no impressive architectural masterpieces at IITA, just well maintained environment, great labs and farms. What is the defination of neighbourhood? do you know IITA has a school? is it for public or for staffs only? do you know IITA has a hotel? is it for public or for staffs only? |

WIZGUY69: Oga! Are u sure u are Yoruba man? U keep dancing to the tunes of the iboes. Reread the topic carefully. Eastern neighbourhood! Not comparism between eastern neighbourhood and western neighbourhood. If it's comparing niegbourhood, the iboes can't stand the Yoruba's. I swear to God! Ok na. My mistake. Hmm! if that's the case i think Western neighbourhood thread should be open. What do you think? ! |
Politics › Re: Eastern Neighbourhoods And Streets Are Made by forgiveness: 9:38am On Sep 08, 2015 |
Francis5: Yes, but not built by a Yoruba. Indeed, it is an oases in the midst of poverty and brown roofs. BTW, the highest ranking Nigerian ever to work in IITA is an Igbo man who was the DDG, Prof Okigbo.
I read an article comparing IITA to UI. The article discusses how they were at par, infrastructurally speaking, in the 60s and early 70s. Today compare and contrast. Fine. that's all i wanted to the know and all you said also confirmed that Oyinbo's and Ndigbo's are also found in Ibadan Neighbourhood. |

Cjrane2: i am sincerely happy to see this. It has helped me to know Ibadan isn't in the stone age. Aside our NL squabbles, we deeply want Nigeria to succeed in our innermost mind.let the whole country develop like America if it is possible. I have often found myself defending other parts of Nigeria, if it were attacked by a Ghanaians or South Africans.
But, i just hope you are truly posting Ibadan pics. No worries. You don't know Ibadan but if you know you would have known 'this is coming from Ibadan' |
