Gbagura:
It's your right but explain to people why you're supporting a governor that has refused to add to the IGR he met when his predecessor left it at 7bn,having met it at 700m. Meanwhile, ogun igr have reduced drastically downward. These are facts for you to counter.
Do you know if it's not over cooked by his predecessors?

I think what Ogun state needs is roads infrastructure, housing and transportation (brt system).

I spoke out then or you knew me back then? Don't support nonsense. Darudapo is a clueless governor.
Let us wait until his term comes to an end. No wahala.

That airport project in Ewekoro was FG project.

Don't worry about Ogun state airport. How many flight is taking off in Anambra airport? grin

Gbagura:
What happens to the ongoing roads? He left those ones and start roads he won't finish. Does that make sense to you? Is ogun state anyone's property for a regime to be abandoning what he met on ground?
Why didn't you talk about this when Amosun abandoned his predecessor projects. I am not saying both are correct ooo.

Oh! I see the angle you are coming from. Kkkkkkkkk

Can we say Amosun was also a failure?

That's not all I'm saying . Apart from having nothing to offer the money spent on building the airport could be spent on better projects which will enhance the stature of the state and attract foreign investors
Do you mean Ogun state has nothing to offer? Answer that question first.

Perhaps, you are not aware of the over 50 roads construction going on or about to kick start recently.

Is it the same Abia state I lived for almost a decade? Apart from some small small indigenous companies in nnewi, nothing special about Anambra. grin

Some of those industries are owned by Ogun state indigenes. Now, most are moving back to Ogun state. grin

what nairaland resident economists and sit tight politicians fail to understand is the fact that in 2019 lagos airport handled 180 million kilogram worth of cargo......this is virtually 95% of all air cargo in nigeria putting pressure on the lagos airport. this cargo airport has the potential to reduce the burden on ogun state and provide actual jobs for the people of ogun state.
You dey mind the Nairaland economists wey no sabi anything.

You see, due to their stupidity, they think the airport will turn their state to an international hub. Why will anyone visit a city or state that has nothing to offer him/her?

Even in a developed country like the US there are so many unused international airports because people hardly visit the destination
Are you saying Ogun state has nothing to offer?

If I hear say any governor is trying to grab 'the most useless governor in Nigeria' award away from Dapo Abiodun, I will have to sue such governor. Darudapo is a dignified failure in a world of his own.
Why is he a failure?

COMPAQ:
The stupidity of our governments really baffles me!! What is Ogun state doing with cargo airport when it’s just next door to Lagos. Instead he should be thinking of strategies to maximize the rail line such that cargoes are moved from Apapa port to Abeokuta axis by rail and then cleared there to decongest Apapa port. From Abeokuta they can then be further transported to South West as necessary.

Same thing almost every state in SE and SS is building airport. Bayelsa, Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia are all building airports when we already have airports in Uyo, Calabar, PH, Owerri, Enugu, Asaba.
Ogun state doesn't need to depend on Lagos state for Cargo airport. Abi, will the money generated by Lagos state enter Ogun state purse?

Ogun state is not Bayelsa, Anambra, Ebony, Abia, etc. Take note.

Waste of money.

It is cheaper for multinational companies to transport through rail than air.

Who is his economy advicer?
The governor is the owner of Heyden. A successful oil company in Nigeria.

If he doesn't have a good economy advicer, how was his company able to be successful?
