BlueSparks: What we learnt Banana island wasn't the brain child of David's grand parents. That's not how it works o. Land ownership or such doesn't equate ownership.
Please educate my ignorance if I'm wrong Sir. There was nothing like Banana island until Davido's grandfather engaged the Westminster Dredging Company to dredge the foreshore, and create six interlinked and symmetrical islands. |

Aconomist: Even the idea of Banana Island is monkey-ish.
This so-called "excusive real estate" that looks like a construction site a decade after its completion? Where are the grocery stores? Where is the mall?Where is the movie theatre or the Marina? There is nothing in this place to make it desirable. It would be considered a slum in the U.S. Even those Lebanese buildings that tower over your bungalows look like council flats (public housing) in the U.K.
Nigeria is a worthless country full of worthless people. Banana island was the brainchild of Late Chief Adebayo Adeleke. The grandfather of Davido. It was hijacked by Babangida after he finished reclaiming the land. This was after Maroko was hijacked from him by Lagos state government.

Gbagura: LAGOS-IBADAN express says hi. Which road is 10 lane? Ìjẹ̀bú òde-Epe or which one?
This same road? Its features are a marvel: a dual-carriageway with 10 lanes, four lanes on each side with one pull-out section, and a 14-lane toll plaza for easy payment of tolls. 4 lanes on each side with one pull out section. Making 5 lanes each on both sides. Though the pull out section is not tarred. thanks |

Gbagura: You live in Lagos,i guess. You're lecturing someone that lives in ogun state and conversant with all that matters in the state. I ply the road regularly and therws nothing you can teach me on governace in this state. Dapo hasn't done anything. Even OGD got the ground running within his first year. Why is Dapo's different?
There's no point for Amosun doing what he felt doesn't make any sense. That road is too narrow for the kind of traffic passing there. There's virtually accident every now and then on that road. Don't even go there. Does that road make any sense to you? Would Amosun be doing such shoddy job currently as witnessed on that road? What stopped Dapo adding an extra lane on that road to curb unnecessary accident? If you ply the road regularly, how come you think he left the road the same way? That road was just two lanes but now 10 lanes. How does that look same to you? You lied. Why didn't Amosun expand the road since it was too narrow? A road that leads to SS, SW, SE, Ajah, Lekki, Lekki refinery, the largest oil tank in Nigeria, etc doesn't make sense to you and Amosun, right? |

You don't promote a dull governor like Dapo to someone like me and expect me to pat you on the back. You have not given factual evidence to back up your claims else debunk it. Well, you are just full of sentiments. That's all. |

Gbagura: Seyi makinde of Oyo State nko? He was elected same time as Dapo. Compare their level of works so far and come take this small cake for Dapo. Makinde didn't allow lock down in his state because he believed his state was not affected. Unlike, Ogun state and Lagos state that had to use all their resources to prevent Covic-19 pandemic. His effort didn't go unnoticed by WHO and other health organisation. Remember, he never budgeted for Covic-19. But where did you think he got the funds for to achieve this? Think As we comment here, Dapo is building 200 units of Houses in Abeokuta and he is replicating same in other major cities in Ogun state.

Gbagura: Is Seyi makinde of Oyo State ruling from USA? Ain't he part of the pandemic? I hate excuses, bro. Defend Dapo if you want but don't come and be giving me excuses. Go and check what makinde has done in Oyo State since he came in, then compare to Dapo's.
We even thought his delay was as a result of reviewing abandoned projects so he can continue only for him to start new different set of projects entirely. If he'd known that has been his plan, why didn't he commence the work in ernest? Can you please mention the landmark projects executed by Oyo state government? Be informed. Covic-19 started in Ogun state. Both Ogun state and Lagos state were busy fighting against the pandemic. For your information, Oyo state didn't go on lock down. Activities were going on as usual because Seyi didn't believe Covic-19 initially. |

The IGR increment started in his first 6 months in office and before his first year, he's attracted about 20 companies to ogun state. Abi I lie? Which company will come and invest during pandemic? Have you forgotten Amosun first term tenure was during Jonathan's administration when crude oil was sold for $100 dollars? When Dollar was #164 - a $ then? Politics › Re: Dapo Abiodun: Ijebu Ode-Epe Road To Be Completed Very Soon by forgiveness: 12:54pm On Mar 23, 2021 |
Gbagura: Daniel started it. Amosun tabled to house that he would have loved to make the road a 10-lane dual carriageway which the house rejected. That road is too narrow which I expected Dapo to widen a bit but still leave it that way hence why Amosun didn't bother to touch there at all. Amosun has a standard. He's not known for narrow roads during his 8yr stint. He rather not touch it than do a shoddy narrow jobs.
I know you're here to defend Dapo, your fellow Ìjẹ̀bú man. Amosun abandoned the road. EOD Why did he abandon it? You are here mentioning Daniel and Dapo. How did they stop him from executing the project? You have never passed through that road before but you think Dapo left the road that way. Blind criticism. |

Gbagura: Now I can understand you better. You're from ijebu right? You guys are hypocrites and it reeks from your response. Your hypocrisy is very vociferous even to the deaf. So you were saying Epe-òde road is much more busy than Lagos-abẹ́òkúta expressway right? Now I can see why you've been defending Mr darudapo all along. Let's see what he will convince the rest of the state with in 2023, if Nigeria still exist till then. People will definitely show him shege. For your better understanding. Epe - Ode road links to Ajah, Lekki, V/I, Ibeju, Lagos Island in Lagos State and Ikorodu. All inter states commercial vehicles ply through that route to SS (Rivers state, Cross River state, Edo state, etc), SE( Anambra, Imo, Enugu, Abia etc), SW (Ijebu ode, Ibadan, Ondo and Ekiti) and North everyday instead of going through Lagos -Ibadan express way. That will save them time and money. Putting this into consideration, suffice to say, it should be more busy than Lagos - Abeokuta that only leads to just Abeokuta compared to that route that leads to many major capital cities in Nigeria. Can you please help me type Amororo on your Yoruba keyboard. I like the way you wrote Abeokuta in Yoruba. |

Gbagura: To be sincere, which of the 3 roads is the busiest and deserves urgent attention? How many vehicles ply Epe-òde road compare to the voluminous of vehicular activities along Lagos-abẹ́òkúta expressway. People thought Dapo would be an upgrade to Amosun's not knowing he would even be much more worst.
Mind you, the Epe-Ìjẹ̀bú road ain't a 10 lane road. It's just barely 3 lanes on both side. It could pass for 2 lanes each sef. You can confirm all these things yourself. Prove me wrong, brother.
Below is the purported '10 lane' Epe-òde road. Does this appear like a 10 lane dual-carriage way to you? Epe - Ijebu road is an inter- state road to the SS, SW and SE even up the North from Ikorodu. I seldomly used that road once in a month for 5 years then. It's a very busy road. That's why there will a toll gate to generate igr for the state. The same way Sagumu - Ode road is also an inter state road to SW and North via Sagamu and Ikorodu. Besides, construction is ongoing in Abeokuta- Sagamu express way. So, what is the fuss all about? Have you passed through the road before? It's 4 lanes on each other with one lane pull over section. Do you now understand? |

Gbagura: That's what I've been saying. Dapo loves propaganda. You can ask anyone living in Abẹ́òkúta and they would tell you Dapo hasn't touched the project since he came in. Do you think i derive pleasure in criticizing him? That's because he's messing with people's intelligence. He so much loves social media appraisal. Really!? I will have to do more research on this. Besides, the Abeokuta mall is a private investment by Tayo Amusan of Persian group and he gave timeline for the execution of the project. I don't think it has anything to do with the Ogun state government. |

Gbagura: The fact backed by NBS and pricewatercooper, a global famous auditing firm? Dapo has never deny the fact he met ogun igr at 7bn. He should have continued on the same tempo of his predecessor.
Dapo is busy building narrow roads in the little areas that his presence is being felt. I live in ogun state and I know what goes on here. This governor is a laughing stock to serious governance. I'm not the only one complaining, you can ask around and hear from locals.
He hasn't touched the ongoing Abeokuta City Mall being built by his predecessor. Those are real projects that could change lives of ordinary people. If you work for him, tell him the truth before it's too late. He may not be cajnced to rig himself in for 2nd term. Are you telling this project has been abandoned? This is because I get updates on this project and from what I saw, it is still ongoing. |

Buttress what makes you trip for a dull governor like him. Sad then! Well, the 10 lanes Ijebu - Epe road (with a toll gate), the 4 lanes from Sagamu junction to Ode (formerly old Lagos - Ibadan express way), the 4 lanes 42 kilometres long and 14.6 meters wide Abeokuta - Sagumu road, etc are what excites me. |
