ChrisKels: Can you prove that Chris Oforkansi Kels ever said the bolded?
Forgiveness the dolt, please answer this simple question and stop going outta context; - Was the importance of Vicmo to Chelsea winning the league, as a winger or as a wing back?
Chriskel the oversabi, to you, relegation MEDAL is more important than trophy Vicmo helped Chelsea win. EOD
Danielnino00: Moses didn't leave Nigeria for England for footballing reasons na..he went there as an asylum seeker.. and from there he was able to get into crystal Palace academy..
How does it correlate with Chuks,Kalu,Simon and Onyekuru? They weren't seeking for asylum in Europe....they went to play football..and they are gradually building their careers up...
He was already playing on the street in Nigeria. That asylum was faked just to get him to England. Who knows if it wasn't for footballing reason.
It correlates now that we know he faked his parents dead to get asylum in England.
ChrisKels: Oponu, was the importance of Vicmo to Chelsea winning the league, as a winger or as a wing back?
What did Vicmo win, playing for Wigan and Crystal Palace, until he got signed by an elite club Chelsea where he was surrounded by world class players, hence the medal?
Moses got Wigan relegated, while Chuks single handedly saved Villarreal from relegation in his first season as a pro. Can you beat that?
It's only Chriskel of Nairaland that thinks Vicmo was not instrumental for Chelsea winning the EPL.
But Chriskel, stop fooling yourself because I as a Chelsea fan knows Vicmo was instrumental for Chelsea winning the EPL.
Can you tell us about Chuks? Oh! I forgot, he was instrumental in helping Villarreal escape RELEGATION. A very glorious medal according to the wise one, Chriskel.
Danielnino00: Far better indeed.. with those average stats of his?
Why didn't he paint the Turkish league with goals the way Onyekuru did?
Which average stats? When did he join the Turkish league?
He scored 4 goals, had 1 assist and Motm after he joined in the summer.
How many goals and assist did Onyekuru have after he joined the Turkish league in the summer? I am not talking about his full season in the Turkish league.
Danielnino00: The bolded isn't a valid argument.. Moses had the privilege of growing up in England, hence he was able to get into an English club academy and start his career there like most of his peers.. The likes or Kalu,Simon, Chukwueze and Onyekuru meanwhile started from the streets and the academy.. They have been able to work their way from the bottom and gradually going to the top.. Look at Simon for example, from Slovakia to Belgium to Spain and now France... Same with Kalu.. Chukwueze from Villarreal B to Villarreal main team and now attracting interest from big teams .. Onyekuru from Qatar to Belgium to Turkey and now France. These boys may not have done nothing special for super eagles yet,but please don't belittle them... They have what it takes to be better than Moses and all those past wingers you mentioned there..
Just like those past players you mentioned,Moses has played his part for the team.. he helped us win the AFCON, he helped us qualify for the world cup.. He has done well! Just like Mikel and Enyeama, they should be allowed to enjoy their retirement in peace while we give opportunity to the news boys in the team..
You are right based on the bolded. "They have" but for now, they never reach. That's the point.
Where was Victor Moses born? When did he go to England? Was it not at age 12?
What age was Chuks and Simon when they left the shores of this country to play abroad?
Please, in analysing and making our points let's be guided abeg. You may not prefer Victor Moses but he is not a shitty player at all. Show some respect man.
And yes, I saw your next line saying "he is a good player and all" but you also labelled him shitty in same sentence. Abeg, make una take am easy.
Fabuloski: Let's talk bro. Moses is shit, he is a good player and all but his antics are not good for national football. He dives like a fool and extremely selfish. if He is to come back, I have no problem with that. However, never should he be put up front, he should play at full back position if he can adapt. we have better, stronger and more willing players up front.
Victor Moses should only be allowed back to the team if he will line up at the defense. Bukayo Saka too is not a winger, if he can can't play as a full back for the team, he should go and cut his teeth in the English squad
Victor Moses is shit but he solemnly helped us to lift the Nation's cup, abi? Sometimes ehn, you just read shit here.
Danielnino00: Simon plays in the ligue 1 and he got 8 goals and 9 assists.. please in which season did Moses get 8 goals and 9 assists in the premier league as a winger ?
Onyekuru managed to score 16 goals in the Turkish league playing as a winger, Moses was in that same league, how many goals did he score please ?
Moses is an average player as much as the other players we have in the team...he is no way an upgrade.. We should focus on getting younger and well talented players like Ejuke,Eze and Saka into the team and not asking Moses to come out of retirement... He has nothing new to offer ...
V. Moses is far better than all these players in green white green. Moreover, he is currently doing well in a top league.
kingzizzy: Do you know that the Northern Region of Nigeria was about to secede and declare Arewa Republic on the 1st of August 1966 when they were reminded of the vast Oil wealth in the Eastern Region? They then changed tune and decided to go for one united Nigeria as long as Nigeria was under their control.
On July 29th 1966, Lt Col Murtala Mohammed led young Northern military officers such as Lt Sani Abacha, Lt Ibrahim Babangida, Lt Muhammadu Buhari, Lt Garba Duba, Lt Jeremiah Useni and many others to stage a coup. The aim of the coup was to achieve two objectives. First was to avenge the previous coup that had been dubbed an "Igbo coup". The second objective was for the North to secede from Nigeria. The code name for this coup was "operation araba"(operation seperate)
Having staged the coup and murdered over 300 Igbo officers including the head of state, General Ironsi, Murtala Mohammed and his fellow coup plotters felt that the first objective had been achieved. Now they moved to secede the North out of Nigeria. On the 30th of July, Murtala Mohammed and the ring leaders of the coup took over Ikeja baraks and made it their operational base. They hoisted a strange looking flag at the main entrance to the baracks which they said would be the flag of the Republic of Northern Nigeria. They took over Lagos Airport and were putting finishing touches to flying themselves and their families out of Lagos to Kaduna where they would be met by the Military Governor of the Northern Region, Lt Colonel Katsina. They would then declare Arewa Republic on the 1st of August 1966.
The Chief of General Staff, Brigadier Ogundipe, sent Lt Col Gowon, who was at the time the Chief Of Army Staff and the most senior officer from the North, to mediate with the coup plotters in Ikeja Barak. Murtala Mohammed flatly rejected any form of mediation and informed Gowon that he had been in touch with all the traditional rulers and stakeholders in the North and they had all unanimously agreed that the North should pull out of the Nigerian Federation. Gowon reported back to Ogundipe. Ogundipe sent Gowon back to Ikeja Baraks a second time to convince the coup plotters to drop their secessionist plans and bring their grievances to the table. This time around, Murtala Mohammed lost his patience with Gowon and had him detained. He told Gowon that that he be would be flying with them to Kaduna where he would join them to declare secession of the North, and that all that remained was to inform the British authorities of what was about to happen.
The British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Sir David Hunt, was contacted on the phone and made aware of the plans of the North to secede, he protested vehemently against it. He told Murtala Mohammed and his fellow coupists that the North could not survive without the South because the economic base of Nigeria was in the South. The coup plotters were still insistent on the North seceding stating that the agricultural potential of the North was enough to sustain it. Sir David Hunt then revealed to the coup plotters that with the huge deposits of Oil and gas in the Eastern Region and the projected rise in Oil prices, the Eastern Region was about to reap huge profits that would far outweigh the agricultural production of the North. He told them that if they seceded now, they would be denying the North a good slice of those oil profits. He suggested to them that rather than secede, they should take over Nigeria.
On realising the Oil fortune they were about to deny themselves, the tune changed to "one Nigeria". Gowon, who was the highest ranking Northerner, was chosen to become Head of State. Rather than declare Arewa Republic on August 1st 1966, Gowon was sworn in instead. Gowon would go on to act the script of the North by removing resource control, placing Oil production in the hands of the federal government, abolishing the Regions and giving the North the most states and local governments, to ensure that the North benefited most from the Oil money.
Who removed resources control between Ironsi and Gowon?
Dlonra: Lagos Wealth is in Swiss Banks & Papers. The Common Lagosian is as Miserable as the City is. It's even embarrassing to call Lagos rich cause it doesn't apply on the ground.
If only a common Nairobian can afford one room in Lagos, then we can talk.
vankelvin: That shows you how poor your country is. Ask your fellow nigerian's in Ghana and they will confirm to you the living standards in Ghana..very very high The Ordinary Ghanaian is used to it but nigerian's here always complain about how expensive Ghana is.. And for value of money, you need to ask your fellow nigerian in Ghana the value of Cedis when converted into naira..
Its just like you asking the value of Dollar in USA, it doesn't do much there, but change it into your country's currency and you will know the value,.
As far as Currencies are concerned, Cedis is still higher than naira.. If re-denominating a Currency can change the fortunes of ''your country's currency'' then what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for Donald Trump to ask your Government to do a re-denomination of your currency?
Shma: In reality though, Lagos and Nairobi has potential to outsmart big cities in South Africa. If Lagos just took one concideration of impelmenting zoning laws and eradicate slums it will be a great city in Africa. Nairobi should fix its roads and upgrade or eradicate the 2% slums.
Nairobi is already the 6th most dynamic city in the world, we are the capital for multinational organizations e. t. c.
We only have very little to do unlike lagos. But the best move for Lagos is the initiative for building different city with the same effort will definitely work. @forgiveness, I need your attention here.
Lagos already outsmart South Africa's cities economically save Johannesburg.
Where are the slums in Lagos? What are their names? I want to show you something first.
Don't be deceived, Lagos is far far far more developed than Nairobi. Nairobi has a lot to do. Most especially, demolishing 50% slums that makes up Nairobi. Fact.
rvp2018: Unlike Kenya towns and cities - South Africa is creating brand new slums every day - as more and more people are driven into poverty. But now you want to engage in childish debate comparing Nairobi with your brand new slums.
Kibera and all Nairobi slums were all started in 80s - by Sudanese Nubians who found themselves illegals in Kenya - and there is rarely any new slum you'll see.
Look at your brand new slums - in few years - Joburg, Capetown and name them will be sprawling slums. Already 1/3 of cape-town are slum dwellers - and the numbers are increasing.
