Ask them which winger Rohr should drop between Kalu,Musa, Onyekuru and Simon From the 5 wingers in that team Chukwueze is the least likely to make the AFCON Good enough arrangements are already being made for him to join the Flying Eagles. Someone wants Onyekuru dropped here. |

How do you pick the remaining 12 players? |

South Africa is also dominating in west africa in the sectors I provided you above.
Multinational Company is a company that operates in more than one countries.
Ask more questions, am ready to respond you. Is any South African bank in the top 5 in Nigeria and West Africa? Which bank is that? What is the name of the South African company dominating the media? DSTv is just a small fragment of entertainment which is a little fraction of mass media. It's doesn't tantamount to dominating the whole media not to talk of the entertainment. Tourism industry? Bhuhahahaha! Explain yourself. Entertainment comprises music, films, games, exhibition, mass media etcetera. No single South Africa company is involved in all these save little fraction of mass media. as for AFCON i will just trust rohr's judgment on if chukwueze should go. let's however take it easy with putting to much expectations on the lad remember this is his first full season of top flight league football Ah! If that be the case, he should join the U-20 world cup team. The dream team has more players in that category. Who should Rohr drop for him on the RW? |

I have kukuma said my own about Chukwueze and the U20 WC and AFCON. The major challenge is if Villa Real can release him for the U20WC because the La liga season will be at the critical tail end when the WYC will be commencing. Exactly! But I don't think he will be squeezed into the team. However, if there's still opportunity for him to prove himself in the camp, why not? Him going to U-20 world cup is a mission impossible because I don't see Villarreal releasing him. Anyway, let us see what happens at the end. |

The coach is clueless that's it there were many qualified men that would have done the job better peeps like ogunbote, maikaba, finidi etc.... Defend him for what? This is U-20 team not U-17 team you have to start scouting from kindergarten academic teams. So, there should be decent players in a major league or second division that have acquired little experience enough to play at the the U-20 level which I don't know because I have not been monitoring players these days. That's the reason I asked him if he knows a better player so that we can start putting them into light here since we were told NFF officials are here I would have come hard on you but I will forgive you today hoping you restrict your tribalistic views to yourself. He still needs to perfect his dribbling in a pocket of space and try as much as possible not to lose possession. I think he doesn't have that luxury of space to run at defenders in the la Liga as he did in the lower Liga. That's why whenever he is closed up he doesn't have idea on what to do next. Anyway, there's room for improvement since he's still young but I don't want him to go down with Villarreal if they go down. He should move if a club comes calling. |

grandstar: The search for an excuse is always successful.
Just start! The constraints would force the government to act.
Many countries in the EU have huge handicaps that can just be as bad as the poor power supply that plagues the country.
In Germany for instance, power is very expensive. In France, the rigid labour market is a serious headache, making employing workers quite expensive and sacking them difficult.
Despite these challenges, Germany is not only the industrial giant in Europe and it's biggest economy but also it's largest exporter. Exports make up 50% of it's economy.
Why I chose the EU is that it is the largest single market in the world. Products from France or Germany will go to other member states duty free and the reverse as well
The funny thing is that the biggest challenge Nigerian companies face isn't poor power supply but very costly credit. Borrowing cost of 20% or more is a massive disincentive to investment.
Industrial parks with 24 hour electricity can be built. It isn't far-fetched. They are planning to make the Lagos Free Trade Zone have 24hour power.with similar arrangements. You don't build house on sand. |

The Chinese will set up factories. What did I say wrong?
Also, concerning what I said about industrial parks, the power sector can be liberalised further to allow what I said.
It's not far fetched. Fashola when governor signed a PPA with a company to supply Iju waterworks exclusively with power. It's nothing new. State does not have power to sell energy. I don't know how you missed that. Most companies are relocating to Ghana or opening in Ghana because of epilepsy power supply here and constant power supply there. Those Chinese companies set up here because their target is the NIGERIAN market hence can't operate outside Nigeria due to trade restrictions. Think Once the free trade agreement is signed, it's very easy for them to close their business here and open outside NIGERIA if power supply is not resolved. The point is, power supply should be resolved first before we start talking about free trade agreement. |
Politics › Re: Why Nigeria Is Not Interested In African Agendas Like Free Trade Deal by forgiveness: 8:04am On Apr 04, 2019 |
grandstar: Trump sadly is a protectionist and is doing damage to the American economy. Economic growth last year was 2.9% instead of the 3% + expected and the prime culprit was Trump's trade war. Nigeria should not follow that route.
The truth is free trade will force the country to sit up. There's no choice.
Also, there are areas the country has comparative advantage despite poor infrastructure. Nigerian manufactured goods are found throughout West and Central Africa. Rumour has it up to Zimbabwe. That shows things are not as despondent as they seem.
Daily, buyers from West Africa besiege the markets in Lagos Island and leave with lorry loads of goods. Same with agricultural products. They besiege the Northern states leaving with trailers loads of foodstuff.
To say the country lacks comparative advantage in some areas is therefore not entirely true.
Also,a Free Trade Agreement may encourage the setting up of industrial parks with dedicated power 24houra a day and other amenities. Companies based in these parks will therefore have a competitive edge.
Smart states or even investors can set such induatrial parks in their states. The more the better.
The biggest benefit will be that Niàgerian companies are forced to be competitive and focus on areas they have comparative advantage,. At the end if the day, it will encourage an export push outside African shores which is desperately needed. Only, when Nigeria does that, can it bring about the needed transformation from third world to first world.
Also, it will compel government to target the most expensive expense or cost which is that if credit. Credit is unnecessarily high considering fiscal deficits rarely go beyond 2% of GDP. Lending rates and inflation have always been in double digits.
The high cost of credit has scared off investments in the manufacturing sector and in the real sectors altogether. It has also led to low productivity. which makes manufacturers uncompetitive.
I can see Nigeria doing well in textile garments for instance. It can import cheap textile fabrics from other African countries and turn them into garments. These garments will not only be exported to other African countries but outside African shores as well Nigeria with it's 200m people will have an edge in labour intensive factories like these
And if the country is making headway in garments, they will be compelled to set up fabric plants in order to achieve quick turnarounds to meet targets set by their buyers based in Europe and America.
I foresee Chinese manufacturers setting up shop enmasse here and creating lots of jobs now that wages have shot through the roof in China and the easiest way for their manufacturers to remain competitive is to set up factories in low wage countries like Nigeria. Factory Asia on our doorsteps. Let us think critically. Where do you think Chinese companies will set up? In a country that guarantees 24/7 power supply or with a country that experiences only 2 - 4 power supply in a day? Think You said states should create industrial estate with 24/7 power supply. Are the state constitutionally empowered to generate and sell energy? Think |

Its something that happens on the job where you watch the more experienced people do it and then try to replicate it under their supervision until you're able to comfortably do it yourself. An individual going to such school would be wasting their time and money. Most of those learning it in their school are their employees working on various projects. In short, the idea was to train Nigerians to meet up with their company's demand. |
