Hear the idiot hating on globacom. Instead of encouraging more Nigerian ownership of Ghanaian industry. grin grin grin I guess they've not forgiven us for kicking out 1 million Ghanaians from Nigeria in the 80s. grin
I think Ghana is frustrating Nigerians business. Even their former president had to interfer.

Well, it's normal black man mentality.

Listen, what did you read,to hit does not mean it did and it never did because we are now in 2019 and that Sunday issue occurred due to technical work been done which was even announced before the lights went off that day.And the next week, the opposition party even asked for the resignation of the president, and at least the energy minister due to that day's power outage in some parts of Accra. The government organized a press conference together with the energy minister,Electricity Company of Ghana,Gridco,VRA and all the electricity providers to apologize for that day's power's outage and promised with assurance that it will never occur again and the masses has still not forgiven the government for that week's incidence. The funny thing was it happened in some parts of Accra and it barely lasted for an hour. The power outages was completely solved in late 2015 with little or no power outage Buh the incumbant president was still voted out in December 2016 for the three years of load shedding with six hours off and three days on.This happened die to the disruption of gas supply from Nigeria which we pay for it buh hardly produced according to contract. That's why we hardly pay for such poor contractual production. You guys flare the gas so we decided to build a pipeline and pay for the gas supply which is poorly delivered. Now we have our own gas so we will terminate that gas supply contract. We at darkness phobia. We can hardly do without electricity and less than 5 percent of household owns generators because the national grid always provide electricity for our use.And over 80 percent of Ghanaians have access and are connected to the national grid with 24/7 electricity which is unprecedented especially in sub Sahara Africa. And listen nobody has the right to claim controlling of our economy. Not even India,China and USA who are the biggest foreign investors.Ghana is the face of Pan Africanisms and over 50 years of Nigerian closer relationship not a single part of our culture has been influenced by them from the food we eat, clothes, language, entertainment, yes, come to Ghana and see that our traditional musics and entertainments are intacts from our churches to funerals and weddings. We love Davido and Wizkid buh thats it.Our artists are worshiped here including Shatta Wale,Stone Bwoy,Sarkodie and the new entrants Kwame Eugene,Judi,King promise, etc.Daddy Limbs,Pas Bobbo, and all the highlife artisres are worshiped here. Our education from Primary to Secondary sch are 100%free.Our secondary schools numbering over 500. public secondary schools are first class with the best WAEC results. We don't grade private secondary schools and tertiary institutions to our public ones because the public ones are top notch and best.Over 70 tertiary public institutions which are highly subsidized and easily accessible with just six credit pass in WASSCE exams qualifies you for admission no matter the institution
I understand you very well but there is still power outage as at the end of last year. Why?

Please be a little factual in your statements.Even Mauritania invest more in Ghana than Nigeria who hardly invest but rather come here for educational tourism and their multi national banks which are not even wholly nigerian owned but with majority shareholders being Ghana's companies with the semi autonomous banks who are not fully controlled by their parents company. The fact that Japanese vehicle companies are mostly in USA does not mean that they control US economy. You should be thankful to ECOWAS that we opened up to accept your banks. Why don't you establish them in Ethiopia or Kenya and for you to say you control Kenya or Ethiopia.Very funny country.Ghana is the 4th African country with the largest FDI and Nigeria hardly investors in our economy.Mauritania invest more in Ghana than Nigeria in 2017 but they hardly boast with it.
Let me address the bolded before I address the other claims you made.

Why did your FDI dropped in Ghana in 2015 if you think Ghana is doing Nigeria a favour by opening its doors? grin see snapshot 1

See answer in snapshot 2. What does that mean? Should we just close our borders for 2 months and let see how Ghana will survive. grin

Why did your FDI increased since 2016? grin

See answer in snapshot 4. grin

If Nigeria sneezes, what happens to you? grin

The only truth I see here is that Ogun is the religious and academic capital of the country. But sir, I'll point out these errors:

1. Ogun doesn't have a population close to what is obtainable in Kano.
2. Those places you called cities, Mowe, agbara and the rest except for Abeoukuta and probably Ijebu Ode, doesn't fit the criteria to be called a city.
3. The only part of Ogun that has access to an international water body can't exactly be used as a port. Do you know how sites for seaports are earmarked?
4. Ogun state doesn't really need an airport, IF the menace of bad roads can be tackled. It's proximity to Ikeja is enough for it. If we were to be in a developed world, Lagos and Ogun would be one state put together.
5. Ogun state still has a lot on its hands in terms of power and roads.
6. There is only one building that comes close to been called a sky scrapper in Abeokuta and it's in oke Ilewo. Although there are about two others under construction. But hey, they aren't even really sky scrapers in the real sense.

Does Ogun state have the potential? Certainly. They should have been there by now, no thanks to some elements in power.

Note: I'm an Ijebu, currently living in Abeoukuta.
Ogun state has the potential to develop like Lagos if the government invest in road, rail, urban renewal and cheap massive housing projects. That is the truth.

Once that is done.

1. The over population in Lagos will decrease and Ogun state will increase.

2. Those towns will metaphors to cities.

3. Are you saying Ogun waterside facing the Atlantic ocean after Lekki and Epe can't be used as sea port?

4. Ogun state needs airport urgently. Since, you agreed that Ogun state is the religion and capital of the country. Wealth and jobs can be created from the revenue derived from massive passengers flying to the airport from all over the country to attend religious programs in the state. The site of the proposed airport is just 20 - 30 minutes from these religious centers. Instead of getting cut up in Lagos traffic.

Cities like Abeokuta, Shagamu, Ijebu ode, Iperu etc should be linked with railway down to Lagos and their cities should be remodelled or replanned and rebuilt.

Once, the government invest in massive housing projects in this cities and railway system, volla, people will begin to live in Ogun state and work in Lagos. And if that is achieved, normal economical activities will begin to take place in those cities.
