rvp20183: 3 malls this year plus 4000 properties are down...Nairobi is demolishing million dollar house regularly for failing to obey the law....i cannot tell you how many dont even try.Karen had 10acre min subdivision..now its 1 or 5 acre.Nairobi has strict zonal rules...Mombasa now are enforcing even colors you can paint your house.
What were your law enforcement agencies looking when those malls were built if you really have strict zonal rules?
Perhaps, the 3 malls and buildings grew overnight.
rvp20183: Nairobi is well planned. Its masterplan copied by Singapore. The first victim would be wild games at Nairobi National Park.Nairobi enforcement of the zonal laws has had lapse but generally its still enforced. When you build you can 90% sure no one will erect a shack next to you.
Show me any article to back up your fact that Singapore copied Nairobi's master plan.
rvp20183: try erect a shack in your own plot in Nairobi outside the slum and see if it will stand.Nairobi is zonned. You cannot just build. You need to inform everyone around and they can stand. This year building worth nearly 1b dollars have seen dust... including three big malls.
Why should I live a better city and erect a shack?
I am not daft to know Nairobi ain't bad but I know it is not as good as you are portraying it. That is the reason I sample other neutral people's opinions.
Now I know better.
Don't worry, I may come to Kenya next year or two years to come. I don't know.

rvp20183: So it's doesn't look like Europe but looks Europe to Europeans. You must a Yahoo boy.I know when you live in a slumpolis then find a few planned areas it can delude you.Now imagine a modern city like Nairobi that 90% planbed.Europeans don't just pass they settle down.Throw in our incredible natural resources and you've the last 3 US ambassador settling down at end of duty.
Nairobi is not a planned City. Nowhere in Kenya will you find a planned city.
NairobiWalker: You're always talking to foreigners who tell you lots of sh1t yet you've never left your village. You even don't know the skyscrapers in your own city you go on listing non-existent buildings.
First of all, I was born and brought up in lasgidi before work moved to different cities in Nigeria almost 20 years ago. So, I don't really know much about the Skyscrappers on ground except through Skyscrappercity and other sources.
Besides, I have traveled to Benin, Togo, Ghana, Cameroon, Ethiopia , Thailand (airport), UAE, and one of the most advanced Asian country.
gallivant: Why do you need to lie? Which Ghanaian would think Nigeria looks like Europe?? Stop lying all the time, we want pictures of the ministry of communication phantom tower.
Of course, Nigeria doesn't look like Europe but Port Harcourt, Abuja and Lagos look like Europe to them.
I am not talking about Ghanians alone, I am talking about foreigners from different countries.
jaycent: then what are we still arguing? Since 4 foreigners and a Ghanaian has confirmed about it they know their cities is a child's play to Nigeria cities? But they will never accept the fact? I know the problem but don't worry, we will keep whopping their ass until they accept the fact that Nigeria is not their mate
No bi only 4 ooooo. One foreigner working Senegal said he thought Abidjan was beautiful but when he saw VI, Ikoyi and Lekki, he had a rethink.
There are so many of them. I can't count.
Real Ghanaians respect Nigeria and the ones that have been to Nigeria too. That is the truth but you don't expect them to keep quiet while you bash their country. Na normal thing.
That is why I don't bother myself fighting with them here.
jaycent: Exactly? We need to let them know Nigeria beautiful? Not only Lagos and Abuja? But all over the 36 state?
I took one foreigner to Calabar and she could not believe her eyes. Em snap pictures tire.
I took other foreigners and later one Ghanian to Port Harcourt. They said they love it more than Lagos.
In fact, the Ghanian confessed Port Harcourt is better than Accra and looks like Europe.
Some Ghanians friends later came to Lagos for something. When dem reach Vi, Ikoyi and island they could not believe this is Africa. They were marvelled.
Finally, a foreigner who lived in Nairobi Kenya for years came to Lagos. They never believed VI, Lagos island, Ikoyi and Lekki are in Nigeria. Although, they confirmed Nairobi has bigger malls than Nigeria and even called ours child's play but they said in terms of beauty and high-rise, Lagos is far beautiful and ahead of Nairobi.
In short, they said Abuja is most beautiful city in the whole of Africa except for some south African cities. To them Nairobi is child's play.
These foreigners have lived in Nairobi for years and they have been to all the major cities in Kenya and Africa.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Sujimoto Construction, a real estate development firm, Siji is one man to watch – as far as the revolution of Nigeria’s prime real estate sector is concerned. The company, which describes its obligation as bridging the gap in the provision of quality, affordable, and luxury buildings, that are analogous to modern cities and towns like Cape town, Monte Carlo, and Miami, has over the years proven its mantle in this highly competitive field. With its flagship development in Lagos known as the Medici by Sujimoto on Milverton Road, Ikoyi to the upcoming Lorenzo by Sujimoto on Bourdillon in Ikoyi, the company has shown that it is force to reckon with as far as luxury real estate development is concerned in Nigeria.
Bros, this project is on hold. The recession then forced the investors to withdraw and refunds were made to buyers.
Nevertheless, the investors are back but they want to upgrade the design and the quality. It could take time for people to trust them though the one they built in Banana island could serve as a game changer.
naijalander: You are right, Kenyan man are the least attractive men you'll meet.
They usually have dirty eyes cos they drink and smoke a lot.
They also have very low self esteem, they steal too, very dishonest bunch. Your own close friend can arrange robbers to come rob your house over night while you are away.
They are also very jealous & envious people. Especially guys like Kikuyu11
Hmm! I noticed this behaviour on this thread. Shocked!
genieluv: It's very true. Nigerian buildings, streets and aerial views tend to have very limited pictures online. **** For instance there are very beautiful parts of Kaduna and Jos that I would like to have posted here, but one just can't find them online.
>>> It seems like Kenyan cities and buildings have more pictoral views than Nigeria's, perhaps for tourist reasons.
Exactly my point! You got it.
There are so many beaurifu places not captured in Nigeria. However, it's what Kenya depends on for survival.
It's not a bad status by the way but most of your projects just don't seem to materialize! That building will probably be redesigned and made five storeys!
rvp20183: Yeah nigeria has more renders of phantom buildings. But in reality it has very few compared to kenya and there is already an over-supply - Kenya is aiming at South Africa - not the little giant mess.
