You know you're losing and have lost but you keep it going for entertainment reasons. Which is why you dug back this post even after it had literally been overtaken by events (other posts) that you had replied to. Have fun man! You are not a threat to anyone Many Kenyans are loosing their heads here because of this FACT that Lagos has more skyscrapers than the whole of Kenya. |

NairobiWalker: I would really love to see that Nairobi apartment that's taller than One Africa Place. Do you really know the building we are talking about? The only residential buildings in Africa currently taller than one Africa place are Ponte City apartments in Joburg and Lemarc in Nairobi. You fellow Kenyan living in the hood just confirmed One Africa place is dwarf of a building yet you are claiming a below 100m building is the tallest residential building in Africa. So, your lemarc is not up to 100m. For your information, Azuri Towers are taller than Pointe city at 140m. |

TayserMahiri: So the BBC opened their biggest Bureau (studios) outside London (their home base) in Nairobi in their biggest expansion since the 1940s (1 billion Kshs worth).
kazikazi, hope this is not what you whined that Kenyans write bad news about you in international media. We just happen to have an overflowing pool of the best trained journalists in the continent who produce real world class content. BBC simply tapped into this glaring potential. Even Naija with their insane pop cant match our journalistic skills. BBC did open a similar bureau in Lagos recently but they decided it was only good enough for Nigerians (Igbo, Yoruba and pidgin) but for the Nairobi Studio they decided it had to be good enough for the planet, better than everywhere else. You have to be truly global savvy like we. Now my guy I can only promise we shall be fair in our coverage of the United Republic of L.

GERALD710: The Upper Hills Chamber .I will have to check. Maybe the renders were updated. But One Africa Place is not impressive in any way. But I am with the Kenyans here.We have so many skyscrapers under construction (One Africa Place was NOT one of them. My apartment is taller). And given that Nigeria's tallest looks like THAT above. You guys have little to impress about. What is the name of your apartment? Nigeria's tallest is 160m while Kenya's tallest is 200m. Besides that, our Skyscrappers will occupy the third, fourth, fifth and sixth position behind Britam Tower, UAP Tower with the height of 160m, 140m, 140m, and 140m respectively before Times tower with same 140m, if we have to compare. Even our Champaign pearls Tower is taller than Prism Tower at 135m against 133m. So, I don't see Kenya having more impressive Skyscrappers either. I will not disclose the numbers of Skyscrappers under construction. You just wait and see. The one on ground is higher than Hass Tower. |

GERALD710: They are not even close to being the tallest in Nairobi. And Upper Hill Chambers is going to be 104 meters . One Africa Place is shorter than my apartment!! It is not even close to being the tallest in Westlands, let alone Nairobi. Is there anyone who made a claim related to it? Upper hills chamber was suppose to be 26 floors at 104m but it stopped at 21floors. It's not up to 100m. Yes! Someone claimed it's 100m but I discovered it is lesser than that. Do you want to expose something? |

Kazikazi: Sorry.I thought otherwise, may be because you sound kinder.
Not everyone has accepted a spire or antenna to be included in the height of a skyscrapers, that is due to some crooks who erects a rod on top just to claim the accolades of having the tallest tower.
Here is some of examples of measuring a buildings height according to CTBUH No worries. Well, Prism Tower spire has been counted, the reason it's officially the second tallest in Africa. |

**** Besides can you and forgiveness please tell me what this obsession with sky scrappers are? European cities do not have much sky scrappers, yet they are deemed some of the best and most liveable cities in the world with the best economies. Well, I was just having fun and believing everything those Kenyans said here but I decided to cross check on the lies that Nairobi has more skyscrapers than Lagos. Then, I realized the guy was lying big time. Actually, I know about Skyscrappers and I love seeing them after seeing many in Dubai, Seoul, Busan, Incheon, etcetera. |

Kazikazi: Lady,There about 10 different ways of measuring a skyscrapers height.
Some institutions measure a skyscrapers height up to the roof, Some institutions just counts a spire, antenna or masks Some counts up to highest occupied floor Some just use architectural height etc.
But its foolish to add antenna at a building's height. Because that have led to some crooks erecting just a pole on top so they can claim to have a tallest building status! Point of correction, I am a man. However, the whole world has accepted spire as part of a Skyscrapper when counting the meters. |

If yes please show us Arguing with false facts is childishness and I am saying this out to all Nigerians, Kenyans, Tanzanians and everyone here. There is according to all the informations on ground. It's now left for me to personally see it and confirm it. Why would I want cheap glory if it doesn't exist? Most of Nigeria's Skyscrappers have limited pictures and you hardly know their names.
