kennysville: Unfair analysis. Iwobi was made to do what he is normally not suited for. If it were up to me I would play him behind the strikers in a 352 formation. The only problem is who gets to complement him in the muddle Whose fault? Onyeka was overwhelmed. Iwobi lost it in this game. He should have pretended he was injured instead of strolling and loosing the ball. |

kennysville: We know say e still dey learn work but at least he dey listen to analysis. Naija is a footballing nation which is why a coach can't dismiss our analysis dey do I'm own thing. Necessity gave birth to this current team. If not for injuries to certain individuals, u may guess what formation we would have been playing it would av been 424 Me no need am. |

kennysville: But I can't advocate for Jpes to be replaced. I like the fact that he is confident and luck smiled on his team. As a man thinketh in his heart... so is he. He said he would win afcon. I like that spirit. Not a defeatist mindset of Oga gernot. Na so so excuses that one go dey give. Continue? Except he is bold enough to make substitution. |

TheSuperNerd: His current heat maps in Portugal says you are wrong. He has decent lungs to play the 90mins game. And a brilliant DLP don't have to run around. They control the game with intelligent positioning and space exploitation.
If a player has to run around too much, it means he is using brawns to cover for lack of or little brains. I don hear. He control but his service is in the Portuguese Liga. Weldone. |

Bruh.......CIV deserve it more than us. Forget Ref, he wasn't really bad as we really wished. We too like to blame Ref anytime we lost in the final. Let the gentleman breathes.
JPes?! He has no business coming back to Naija. He should fly directly to Lisbon from Abidjan. LOL! Dude was bad. He demoralized our moral. Jpes out. |

TheSuperNerd: He surely can. Iwobi playing in the formation was the unnatural sight. For Nwakali, it would have been round peg in a round role. The perfect DLP. Dude only got good long passes but no lungs to run around. I already saw his game from U17 and I knew he could have problem in modern football but you thought I was hating. |

Oasis007: Its obvious Iwobi had no business starting 2nd half. Aina wasn't at his best either same as Lookman but they still tried.
See......I really can't fault the players cos they did sacrifice everything for their coach. Osimhen kept fighting for crumbs cos he was starved throughout the competition of passes.
We wanted the trophy but CIV wanted it more. No need blaming the Ref cos both Ivorians goals are clean goals. The referee allowed judo against Osimhen. It was glaring. There was nothing the players could do because the coach practically cut off the midfield from the attack. |

TheSuperNerd: Ndidi is not a controller either. None of the midfielders in this team to CIV 2023 is a controller. None.
This team needed an Nwakali but Jpes kept playing dumb and stubborn.
Ndidi isn't a pass master himself. Which Nwakali? Wake up. He can't play in this formation. |

Meliforme: I know, but defensively he is not as strong as the others. Today he was put to the real test against an elite winger and his slack revealed. Aina's presence was to help a very limited midfield that can't hold its own. He had 2 players on him. You can see he couldn't go forward. He brought in Simon late after the equalizer. If you want to park the bus, you must block the wings and have hard working midfielders roaming the midfield but Iwobi wasn't doing that. He wasn't even helping matters because he kept loosing possession. |

COOL10: We're playing with just two midfielders in that central area, so it's expected for our midfield to be overcrowded, besides we're playing with a creative midfielder who's being tasked to play as a deep lying central midfielder. That's just like expecting Mesut Ozil to play as a CM and also expecting him to mark like Gattuso. It's not gonna work.
Iwobi has been removed, so you people can now rest Removed after they equalized? Rest. You don't know football. |

My support for JPes come to an end this Night. Its time to kick him out of Nigeria. He is very poor in reading match. You're leading going into the second half and needed to press but you kept Iwobi that was strolling over the field and misplacing passes. Absolutely, poor. |
