Nevertheless, forgiveness you are hitting your head against a very hard brickwall. Sir Kog45 has put it down very ably. You can only continue to cry. Have you forgotten the allegations levied against me when I claimed Nwakali was on the 35 man list? I have to make it clear that Rohr's acknowledgement has vindicated me. That's all. Why are dey trying hard to hid that fact and go ahead to accuse me of the same allegation that I have grounds to base it? It shows they are also part of the corruption and they enjoy it as long it favors them. Two faced double standard fellows I call them. |

realpoacher: Let's say Kayode and Ajagun were also part of the 35 man list which included kelechi Nwakali, would you know?
If Rohr didn't give us this info today about Nwakali, would you know?
The 4 other players that made the number up to 35 have not been revealed and we won't know until it is revealed. But the point is that, those 5 names were removed and the list pruned down to 30 by Rohr. If it was a 35 man list that was released, then i am certain that Kayodo's name will be on it.
I will bet that apart from kayode, Ajagun, Henry Onyeakuru, and either Peter Olayinka or Kalu will be in that 35 man list.
Why the hue and cry?... Why the fuss?....
Isn't it obvious that Rohr found all the extra 5 names surplus to the teams requirements? which is simply an indication that this 5 extra players didn't measure up to the names in the first 30?
What is your problem?
Kayode is a Top 9.. Compare him to the top 9 will have in the team... Ighalo, Iheanacho, Simy and see that he doesn't come anywhere close to any of these 3.
Ighalo club career goals = 100 National team career goals = 4
Iheanacho club career goals = 15 National team career goals including youth teams = 16
Simy club career goals = 56 No national team experience yet
Kayode club career goals = 45 National team career goals including youth teams = 4
Let it be known to you that Kayode played U17 in 2009 = 0 goals He played U20 teams in 2011 & 2013 = 4 goals He played u23 = 0 goals Super Eagles 4 caps = 0 goals
Is this the kind of blunt striker that you are selling to us?... Is this the kind of wasteful striker that you are trying to force down our throats?...
The only person in direct competition to him is Iheanacho but let it be known to you that Iheanacho a younger teen to kayode is far more clinical than kayode. Iheanacho excelled in the same youth team where kayode failed during his time. Iheanacho took his opportunity with both hands when club and country came calling, so there is actually no basis here for comparison.
Give it a rest already as kayode is the same league of Ideye(another very blunt striker) and Nwankweam
Kayode is a FLOP!.. Kayode is a BIG FLOP!!... I repeat.. KAYODE IS A BIG FLOP,!,!! What is Nwakali doing on the 35 man list ahead of players that did better than him? Answer. Dey deceive yourself say those players were on the 35 man list? Your stats is fake. Simy scored 0 goal in 15 matches the first season in the Portuguese first division eventhough he played as a striker. In his second season, he scored 7 goals in 30 matches and he started 24-26 matches as a striker too. In Serie A, 3 goals in 21 matches as a striker in his first season and 7 goals in 23 matches as a striker. Most of his goals were scored in the second division of the Portuguese league. GBAM. His stats is not good enough. Look at Kayode's stats. He was played as a SS in the la Liga. Today Kayode is up Lokosa, tomorrow against Simy, now na against Iheanacho? Iheanacho and Ighalo making the list is not a question but Simy is never in the level of Kayode. Fact Though Iheanacho's record in the EPL is not good enough but we know he is not a striker. He's best as a SS. Fact You claimed Kayode was blunt in the Under age grade?lies. How many goals did Iheanacho and Ighalo scored in the U20. Abeg, Kayode is not the focal point of discussion. The koko is how did Nwakali managed to enter 35 man list through the back door?

Possibly that list was pruned down even before he released the 28 man list. Even in the selection of the 30 he said they took the decision collectively. So really there is nothing more I can say than he has sentimental people around him. And who knows, there could be more things I don't know. |

Kog45: Oga forgiveness i think you have been in this business for so long and you must know better how Nigeria national team selection goes irrespective of coach(foreign or local)
Different interest came into players selection and do not be deceived Rohr must listened to his back room staffs, so what they give him he works with.
I want to tell you that five dropped players from original 35 man list played against Atletico, and one keep on asking why players like Samuel Kalu,Ebere Eze,Peter Olayinka and Ajagun were not called up even if Rohr has seen enough of Nwakaeme,Kayode,Alampasu and Esiti.
Sir this is Nigeria nothing should surprised you,a lot of damn pressure from officials, agents and backroom staffs, bros you should know better,Nigeria factor and it would take an highly discipline coach to succeed.
I remember i was having discussion with Humility017 and i said i know a lot about eagles especially players invitations.
Check Simeon injury issue,an NFF official insisted that Simeon must have another medical check up in London cos he was suspecting conspiracy. This are the pressure a coach face in managing Nigeria national team.
But good things is that Rohr is getting it right by managing the team irrespective of players recommended to him.He gave them the opportunity but if you don't measured up you are out
Sir let's hope for better WC irrespective of players involved cos 2018 w definitely determine 2019 Afcon and 2022 WC. Sir, you are of the sophistication school of thought that is why you are always being diplomatic with your choice of words even though you know the thruth but I don't believe that is enough in this present day country of ours. Issues must be confronted as they come. oha! I don't see anything different when a politician will steal, kill, bribe and rig his way into a political posts and afterwards tells you to support the government and allow the will of God to play. He will even tell you not to resort to violence and to go to court knowing fully well the judiciary is under his feet. This goes on and on and on and on...........still date. So, because we know this is Nigerian factor, we should continue to suffering and smiling by accepting everything thrown at us? Should the good people continue to stay aside and watch the evil have their field day? i have always tried to make the point that Rohr doesn't know all Nigerian players in Europe. He works with what those around him gives him. And that is why I really doubt he knew there is a active Nigerian goalkeeper in first division league in Europe that is able to solve our goalkeeper crisis hence the reason he keep sticking with a third division goalkeeper, a clubless goalkeeper and a bench warmer goalkeeper introduced to him by that goalkeeper coach. How can Nwakali make the 35 man list ahead of players that did better than them in Europe? Is the 35 man list not suppose to be for the best players in Europe? I knew Lokosa was just to cover face, he is never going to world cup. Gbam You claim Rohr gave them opportunity, right? Can you please list the players Rohr gave opportunity and did not messure up? About Simeon, I doubt the authenticity of the scan done in Port Harcourt. I wanted to advice he goes back to his club and do the test again before we accept he is truly injured and out for 4 weeks. Somebody must talk and I am just doing that. I have been vindicated that Nwakali was on the list. |

By Kayode Ogundare in Uyo:
Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has explained how he came about his provisional 30-man squd for the World Cup and also revealed why teenage sensation Kelechi Nwakali was not included.
“It (the list) was not of my own making alone. I have backroom staff, including the medical team and I gathered all of them in my house. We looked at the players one by one and asked what qualities they have, and how they will complement the other players,” Rohr explained during a media briefing in Uyo on Friday.
“Of course I looked first at the players who were with us for the qualifiers but then I also looked at other players who have done well for their clubs. That’s why you see players like Junior Lokosa who is doing very well in the Nigerian league and Simy Nwakwo who had an excellent season in Italy.”
The German-born coach also revealed why Nwakali was not in the squad. Football fans had queried why the former Golden Eaglet star was not included, particularly after he put up a five-star performance against Atletico Madrid in last Tueday’s friendly international.
Rohr said: “Nwakali is a good player. I knew him before now and he was in my list of 35 players. We had a team of 50 players which we pruned down to 35 and then 30. By the time he played against Atletico, we had already submitted the 30-man list on May 14 and the game against Atletico was on May 22 so it was too late to include him. He’s in my plans and definitely he will be invited after the World Cup.”
Rorh also hinted that new invitees Lokosa and Nwakwo will get the chance to prove their mettle in Monday’s friendly international against Congo DR in Port Harcourt.
“We will see them on Monday and hopefully they will make a case for their inclusion with their performance against Congo DR and even if they don’t get to be selected, they would have learnt valuable lessons from training with the team. But I have been impressed so far with their performances,” he said.
--CSN So, it means Kayode, Dessers, Peter Olayinka, Samuel Kalu, Abdul Ajagun, Bonaventure Boniface, Sone Aluko, Nwakaeme didn’t make the list despite their performance this season and the fact that they were fit as the time the list was made and submitted? But Nwakali, Sadiq etc made the list? Look at those most affected! Ok na. No problem. Nepotism is the order of the day. No wonder dis country is not progressing. If you talk, dey will want to shot your mouth because it favors dem. No wahala. Power belongs to God. |

From the days of Babayaro, Udeze, Taye Taiwo (even Juwon Oshaniwa) You could see what is required of our LBs. Aina has got none of those qualities. Aina is not a LB. He's a RB. Though I don't trust him for the job now but I think his talent is very obvious. He plays with more confidence and his passing skill is really good. With time, he can improve and be like Taye Taiwo who also attack minded but me go go with Echiejile for WC. |
