MetalJigsaw: You're right to doubt bro. Even me set dey doubt the guy based on the magnitude of league way him dey play. But the coaching crew get to give am attention and examine am wella because e fit be say the guy achievement no be because of say na NPFL but na him quality.
Sometimes, the low quality of a league doesn't mean a player's exploits were triggered on that premise.
Reminds me of Lewandowski. He was once a local player- in poland. He used to play for a small club in the Polish second division- Znicz Pruzcow. he lit up the league with goals and eventually became the highest goal scorer. He got signed by a bigger club in the Polish first division- Lech Poznan. He dazzled even more by scoring over 20 goals which won the league for his new club. This made a top class European club Borussia Dortmund snatch him up . Now see what he's become. A world class banger. I agree with you on this but he has to be consistent. This will determine if he is good enough. |

I don't know who to believe again. Official Super Eagles Injury Update : Awaziem, Ndidi, Joel Obi, Simon, Ekong, EbuehiPublished: May 27, 2018 Ahead of the Super Eagles final workout before they take to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium pitch for a frindly against Democratic Republic of Congo, allnigeriasoccer.com has contacted a Nigeria Football Federation insider to provide an update on the fitness of the players with injury concerns. Wilfred Ndidi: The coach must decide when to bring him into full training. Ndidi is not playing against Congo, Rohr said he doesn't want to take any risk, that's why he is giving him extra days. The coach is the one taking it easy, Ndidi is ready for full training but wants to give him more time. He wants to see if he can play the England game. William Troost-Ekong: He is training very well. His skipping full training two days ago was just precautionary, they don't want to take any risk. Any time he feels pains, they tell him to go the sidelines. There's no problem with him, he is training regularly and playing in the practice games. Moses Simon : He is also working well, we are waiting for the result of the scan but he is not feeling any pain. He can run, they don't want him to aggravate the injury and that's why he is not training fully with the team. Joel Obi: He is doing well, he has been doing all the training including the practice games, has never been sidelined. Tyronne Ebuehi: He has been involved in all the sessions. Chidozie Awaziem: It was just a minor knock he picked yesterday but he is already walking well. We don't expect this to be a problem. In this kind of situation, we don't want to take any risk, any kind of knock the player is told to sit on the sidelines. Ifeanyi Emmanuel http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/939684926?-21310:8643:3 |

My fear was injury then and I spoke about it because I know we are not God but we know what happened afterwards. The rest they say is history.
Now, news of injuries are flying in right left and center. Make Rohr replace Simon Moses with a fit and better player and he should do likewise to any player that is will not be fit for the world cup.

Joebie: How many wingers do we have more in the team? Just Musa and Moses.. and maybe Iwobi. Rohr had said he picked 2 players in each position first before a meeting with all the rest of the staff to decide the remaining players to make the 30 man list. I want to guess that there might be a call up to replace Moses Simon. Success, Onyekuru? Have your guess.. unless Rohr is satisfied with Lokosa as a winger. Just thinking. A player in the mold of Simon Moses is not Onyekuru because Simon can defend and attack at the same time but Onyekuru can attack but defensively not good. Besides, I thought we were made to understand that Rohr picked players based on recent form. Has Onyekuru picked up form lately? |

MetalJigsaw: I will if he proves that the goals and assists that earned him a place in the List wasn't a fluke or flash in the pan. The coaching crew are not foolish for inviting him. You talking as if home based players haven't been to the World Cup and performed in the past. Go check history.
The dude should be given a fair chance in the subsequent in training and the friendlies to allow him prove himself. Who knows. He could be the genius we've been hoping for. 18 goals in 21 appearances have you ever heard that happen before in the Nigerian league? Even in Europe it's not common. Come on. Well, I agree with you on your second paragraph. He should be given a fair chance but I doubt he can be what we are waiting for. |

Simon Moses started several games on the bench, same did Kalu and Esiti.
He is important to their team but so his Kalu. Your initial statement is inaccurate as they are not in direct competition with each other. This information is false. Simon Moses started only one game from the bench throughout the whole season and it was because he just came back from injury while Samuel Kalu started 8 matches on the bench. It is not the same. Joebie: With respect to the players in the team, I can mention some monikers that you can hardly tell where they are from based on their utterances as regards player selection etc.. what makes you a tribalist is the the behavior that stems from that strong loyalty to your tribe, not the loyalty itself, or as it is in your definition, an advocate or practitioner. I want players from my social group to do well (and that's not advocacy). However, if they are not measuring up I will say it as it is. So how am I tribalistic? Just say your are a tribalist and stop trying to rope everyone in. Where are you from by the way, so we can mark you. Trying to know the tribe of a moniker in order to messure view, is tribalism. Because you will no longer see through reason but through tribe. |

Oasis007: We've not seen Simy plays in GWG, yet some are already wanting Simon dropped from the final List simply to accommodate Simy?! The same was expected of certain Player, I've forgotten his Name sef, he was rated so high for him to disappoint Everyone.
Simply to accommodate Simy and Joel in the final List, someone is already questioning what Simon brings to the Team...... like seriously?! Though Forgiveness wails a lot, but what's the difference between him and those making the Proposition I listed above?!
Simon ain't just a Team Member, he's an integral, core, member of the Team. Bar Injury, he's certain to be on the Plane to Russia. Aina ain't an integral part of the Team, same as Ebuehi and Idowu, thus if Echiejile must be given Yobo's Treatment, then either of the Trio should make way for him.
On merit Echiejile ain't supposed to be on the final List. He's diminishing at fast Pace, he ain't a modern LB who can transform to a LWB if the Formation changes or Tactics get twisted during a Match. He's not versatile like the other FBs - Shehu can play RB and DM, Ebuehi can play RB, RWB, LB, LWB same as Aina and Idowu, so what's the Essence of going to the Mundial with Echiejile?!
We keep hammering if Simy impresses in Training or in a friendly Match, then he must be selected in the Final List, what about Ajiboye that 80% Members of this Thread already blacklisted from making the Final List?! Why no one is saying if Ajiboye impresses then, he must be selected?! What of Lokosa, what of if he proves himself beyond doubt that he's super-ready to gate-crash? Perhaps Ighalo or Iwobi should be dropped?!
Let's be fair with Team and Players Analyses, also I seize this Moment to advise at the same Time caution Forgiveness?! Sir..... truth be said, you do over-flog Matters - Haba! Argue less and stop thinking you can convince anyone to believe whatever you believe in.
Argument ain't a do or die Affair, and you should know sometimes you win, while sometimes you learn. Also try to adjust and following the trend of the Thread. Concentrate your Energy on analyzing Players in Camp and the possible Players to make the List. Rohr is kinda a fair Coach who has proven himself with Players' Invitations and Selections for the Games.
Enough of labelling the NFF as a corrupt Organization also, coz I can tell you this present NFF Crews are the best we've ever got in this Country. They really meant well for the National Teams and on Course to bring back the glorious Days. Support the Team, the NFF Board and together we can soar higher in Russia.
Shalom, Salaam, Peace. Alright. I will say what I observe but I will dem after the world cup. Thanks Man |

ykalhaji: Chief, the dictionary defines tribalist as
"an advocate or practitioner of strong loyalty to one's own tribe or social group"
Because majority of people in our circle associate a word with a particular meaning does not change the actual meaning of the word.
Beign nationalistic is also considered tribalistic, because the premise of nationhood today was the construct of tribes in the past. That's true. English thinks they are better than French while thinks they are the most civilized in Europe. Based on that definition all nations are not exempted because all fight for superiority. Hmmmmm! |
