AIG07:Nacho only played twice as a LW under Pelle and those matches he came in as a substitute. However, his best role is becoming clearer when he is played as a SS. |
MetalJigsaw:Did you watch the match? |
Petrobros:Hahahahahaha! How far? Where did Etebo play today? ![]() |
We should not be deceiving ourselves, Ahmed Musa and Moses Victor are the the only wingers in the team but Rohr thinks otherwise. ![]() Simy doesn't look better than what I thought. Well, wetin man go do? If Agbo make the team without kicking a ball na amazing grace be dat abi Rohr sees something we no see? Lokosa is useless on the wing. Maybe he is a better striker but on the wings I say no no. Rohr had better think twice now that he has a chance of bringing in a better and fit winger. It's not too late. |
Joebie:Why you no go commot Etebo? ![]() |
M7even:Can people see what Agu brings to the team? ![]() |
Abeg, who replaced Joel Obi? Is that not Agu? |
Mujtahida:Hahahahahaha! ![]() |
Dat a normal thing for a defender too do. Ask Ramos. ![]() |
Aina don do wrestling but it was not a penalty. |
Mujtahida:Hahahahahaha! Beer parlour coach indeed. Hahahahahahahahaha! ![]() |
Make dem comot Ebuehi before em get injury, abeg . E don pass. ![]() |
Mujtahida:Hahahahahaha! Iwobi is the AMF in this game while Etebo has been deployed to the LW. ![]() Even Rohr sabi wetin I dey talk. ![]() |
Mujtahida:Hahahahahaha! No be dere em dey play now? ![]() No Etebo dey play LW now? ![]() Some people dey deceive demselves. ![]() |
Iwobi don enter, don start to dey shine for middle. Simy also scored with the back of his head but the keeper saved the ball. |
Anybody wey no dey watch dis match no dey deceived by Lokosa is balling.... Ebuehi is balling...... Simy is balling..... Iheanacho is careful.... because na fat lie be dat. The Congolese dey dominate us and wey dey balling...? Which kain balling be dat? The point is the wings have been rendered redundant. There is no penetration from there and I can see Lokosa lacks the technique or ability to play there. I don't even know who is playing on the otherside. Iheanacho self no get position. He had a through ball that levelled him with the last and only man at the back and with just him and the keeper to beat but he messed it up big time. Simy though tall but he is unable to win and hold unto the ball. Etebo is lost in the middle. Make I dey look. |
My Joel bobo... dey ball. ![]() Una eyes don dey open small small!? ![]() |
Petrobros:No wahala, make we dey see. |
Oasis007:Uzoho no dey dere. Maybe Echiejile too. |
Petrobros:That is an advantage to us because you know you have Iwobi who can replace a tired Mikel though he might not actually play like Mikel but we could see different style and pattern. |
Petrobros:Etebo. |
Mujtahida:That wan na secret? It is fact, na. Hahahaha! Honestly, I have been having headache when I heard Simon Moses is out and Rohr wan do Calculus with Iheanacho and Lokosa on the wing. Bros, I am dumbfounded. It seems Rohr just wan carry people go world cup just because they qualified him for the world cup. Ok na. |
Kog45:Ok. |
Kog45:Actually, he was right because that was what I meant. |
daveP:But that is their natural position and that is where they play in their clubs. Because I don't want to believe Rohr will not find a replacement for Simon and go to the world Cup with Victor Moses and Ahmed Musa. That will be unimaginable. We all know Iwobi flopped many times on that wing and he is not consistent. So, he can't be trusted on the wings except as a SS or AMF. We also know that Iheanacho has not played well on that wing since Oliseh played him there and when Rohr played him there too though he wants to see him play there again today but I have seen him played there and I don't think he can bring what Victor and Simon bring to the team on the wing. He can't be trusted. Therefore, I don't expect Rohr to gamble with players who are not known to play a role well in crucial world cup matches. It doesn't make sense to anybody. Players must be played to their strength. Well, today's match will decide the outcome of the list. Will Iheanacho and Lokosa perform on the wings? If yes, no wahala but if not, make him put Etebor for wing abeg or do the needful by calling a LW from the numerous that did well this season. Afterall, Lokosa and Simy were never part of the team but they made the team and people here have already forgotten their stance on 'team cheimistry' by clamoring for the inclusion of Simy. ![]() |
Petrobros:Well, na Ma opinion. |
Prediction of Rohr's 23 man list (against my wish I mean) ![]() 1. Ezenwa 2. Uzoho 3. Akpeyi Defence 4. Omeruo 5. Balogun 6. Ekong 7. Brian 8. Echiejile 9. Aina 10. Ebuehi Midfield 11. Shehu 12. Mikel 13. Onazi 14. Ndidi 15. Joel 16. Ogu Attack 17. Victor 18. Ighalo 19. Iheanacho 20. Iwobi 21. Etebo 22. Simy 23. Musa I suspect Awaziem will be dropped because Rohr tried Brian as a defender. Time will tell. |
Rohr Experiments With 4-1-3-2 Formation: Omeruo RB, Aina LB, Idowu CB, Iwobi Striker Published: May 27, 2018 Rohr Experiments With 4-1-3-2 Formation: Omeruo RB, Aina LB, Idowu CB, Iwobi Striker Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr experimented with a 4-1-3-2 formation during the Super Eagles training session on Sunday evening ahead of tomorrow's friendly against the Leopards, allnigeriasoccer.com understands. Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was in between the pipes for the team wearing blue bibs or the Team A in the practice game. Versatile defender Kenneth Omeruo was deployed at right-back, with Chelsea teammate Ola Aina slotting in at left-back, a role he played in more than ten matches for Hull City during the 2017-18 campaign. Amkar Perm star Brian Idowu and the fit again Chidozie Awaziem were the central defenders. The role reserved for a strong and talented defensive central midfielder was taken by Ogu, Mikel Agu and Uche Agbo played as central midfielders, while Obi Mikel played slightly ahead of the trio. Arsenal starlet Alex Iwobi and Changchun Yatai's Odion Ighalo were the two center forwards. Team A Line-up At Training : Akpeyi; Omeruo, Awaziem, Idowu, Aina; Ogu; Agu, Uche, Mikel; Iwobi and Ighalo Ifeanyi Emmanuel http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=27916 |
Six Super Eagles Stars Who Must Impress Against DRC To Make World Cup Squad Published: May 27, 2018 The Super Eagles training sessions have come with mixed fortunes and while seven of these players currently with the team will definitely miss out of the final list, who among them desperately need that big performance? Coach Gernot Rohr has earlier hinted at having already earmarked 'twenty' Eagles who are more than assured of their places on the plane to the Eurasia country, provided they do not suffer any injury relapse— most of these players he meant are well known to any follower of the Nigeria national team. But the wild-card choices are not in any way to be written off just yet and Monday's meeting with DR Congo provides another opportunity for these ones to try and suss further belief in them at least, before the team in finally pruned down to 23. Below, allnigeriasoccer.com presents readers with these players who are surely going to come under stern scrutiny at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium as their hopes of a world cup adventure goes down the wire. Mikel Agu: The Bursaspor midfielder has never been a popular choice in the middle of the park for the team and notably, seems the most midfield player likely to be axed. Joel Obi's current standing in the team makes it all the more difficult for the 24-year old and while Uche Agbo equally seems to be in Rohr's good books, it seems inevitable Agu would have to provide something spectacular to usurp even one of his fellow mid fielders. The DR Congo game looks like his last chance saloon if he is handed some minutes. Stephen Eze: Training session updates from the Eagles camp has shown the Lokomotiv Plovdiv man to be a decent player to have around but could he really fancy his chances of usurping the backup centre backs, bearing in mind that the Balogun/Troost-Ekong defensive combo is not likely to change anytime soon. With Rohr less likely to risk throwing much of his most important players out against the Leopards, how Eze handles his Super Eagles debut cum audition on Monday would be particularly instructive in the forming of opinions. Junior Lokosa: Well, what we are quite certain of is that Lokosa is quite a talented player, a handful for defenders whenever he gets on the ball in the area. His goal return in the NPFL is simply amazing and his outputs in training sessions with the national team has shown he is no fluke. What the Kano Pillars striker needs desperately now is to produce one or two significant moments of magic in a competitive game. Should he do so tomorrow, would it be enough to force Rohr into making a tough decision? Simeon Nwankwo: Simy has come a long way. From his goalscoring exploits in the Italian Serie A to earning his call-up, all things seem to be working perfectly to plan. But inevitably, it only seems his hopes of joining the more established attackers in Russia lies on any of them falling to an irremediable injury. With Rohr spoilt for choice in attack, something big would have to come from the lanky striker if he takes to the pitch against their African opponents. Chidozie Awaziem: Awaziem's position in the Super Eagles is equally not set in stone and while he has not been particularly impressive when called upon, he has somewhat been backed to come good. Also, Ola Aina, Kenneth Omeruo and Stephen Eze looked to be above the Nantes defender from the reports from the camp and issues of fitness going into this test game might not bode so well for him. The jury could be out on him tomorrow. Dele Ajiboye: Rohr has already hinted on the possibility of taking just three of his goal custodians to the mundial and that is where Ajiboye comes in. With Francis Uzoho, Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa all above him in the pecking order of goalkeepers, the manager could elect to give the Plateau United man a chance to assess him properly before dropping him. But what happens if he produces some jaw dropping saves against Yannick Bolasie, Cedric Bakambu, Benik Afobe and Co.? Emmanuel Chinaza http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=27914 |

Eagles Workout: Simon Sidelined, Ndidi Individual Session, Positive News On Awaziem Injury Published: May 27, 2018 Eagles Workout: Simon Sidelined, Ndidi Individual Session, Positive News On Awaziem Injury The Super Eagles had their last training session on Sunday evening ahead of the international friendly against Democratic Republic of Congo in Port Harcourt, allnigeriasoccer.com is reporting. If the workout held at the Shell Ground is anything to go by, two players have been ruled out of the friendly against the Leopards. Gent winger Moses Simon did not take part in any of the training activities today and watched his teammates from the sidelines. Rohr announced during a team meeting before the squad left their hotel for training that the result of the scan is not looking good, but has not officially stated whether or not he's out of the World Cup. Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi carried out another personal training for the fifth successive day but jogged with the team at the start of the session. Meanwhile, the positive news is that Porto starlet Chidozie Awaziem participated in full training today after suffering a knock in the process of blocking a shot from Kelechi Iheanacho in yesterday's session. The central defender will start on the bench against Democratic Republic of Congo, only for tactical reasons and not as a result of injury.
