Sir between Simy and Joel cos Rohr is going to WC with 8 defenders but if i have my way i will pick Joel Obi.

I'm okay with Ighalo, Iheanacho and possibly Musa as CF and we should know that the new SE doesn't depends on arrow head CF to score, our qualifiers and friendlies is a testimony that we don't depend on CF.
You people are playing with fire.

How can we take only one striker to the world Cup?

It is better Simy makes the list.

You are taking comments out of context.

Train in the context of present continous not in the past.

Omeruo trained with Chelsea would you then say that he trains with the Chelsea team. This is very normal train pre season with your parent team doesn't mean you are in the team or train with them on loan.

Even youth players on trial not so signed train with the first team.

What exactly is your point to mislead and misrepresent to portray a view that's not true.

Day you know how many thousands of players are a work in progress. When the work is finished let him show his quality. He is not too young to show that quality consistently and continously in the league he is in.

When you play well you get noticed.

Do you know how many clubs are clamouring for loan moves for Bobby Adekanya, Ademola, Tega Abrahams and Tega Onomah, Ovie Ejaria, because they have performed
.
Honestly, I really rate these players especially Onomah. He is a very good player.

I followed Bobby from his days at PSV before he moved to Barcelona. He even begged to play for Nigeria but he was subbed many times.

There a a video of his skills at 10 or 14, I can't remember. He dribbles like Messi. grin

I knew when Barcelona was banned from buying players because of him, and that made him to move to Liverpool.

I don't know much about him because I no dey scout players again but I think he must have progressed alot.

Lastly... Read up on what I mean by a league's impact factor. We even have that in medicine. wink

Is this not your own personal opinion? When did it become the general accepted theory?

And yeah... I misunderstood you a bit there on the stats you posted. My apologies. From those stats with Nacho's three assists now corrected to four as I said earlier pages ago we can see that Nach, Musa and Simy had it slightly better than Kayode. And when we bring in leagues involved... The impactth factor plays out. Nacho, Musa and Simy all did it in bigger and better leagues than the Ukrainian league.

Paul Ebere Onuachu outscored Nacho... Outscored Musa and even Simy. But we are not even talking about him. Perspective man. Have some perspective.
By the way, He plays in "Denmark" as you know.
As you have rightly said, doing it in a bigger and better league in the top leagues in Europe determine the impact factor of a player, right?

First of all, what is the impact factor of a player?

It is the impact a player exhibit in his team and in the league, right?

How do we estimate the impact of a player in these top leagues?

In most cases, the impact of a player is recognized and rewarded with an individual award, right?

Did Simy, Musa and Iheanacho win any recognized individual award in the EPL or Seria A that acknowledge their impact in the top leagues this season eg MOTM, TOTW, POTM etc? grin

Only Iheanacho won the TOTW. That's all. The rest nothing. Did they?

Of course, Ahmed Musa won 2 MOTM in the Russian league.

But Kayode who didn't only played in the Ukrainian league where he also won a MOTM and made Shakhtar Donetsk player of the month, won MOTM and POTM in the La Liga to show his impact at the best league in the world. grin

Based on your perspective, though Simy, Iheanacho and Musa outscored him this season but he did it in a bigger and better league.

At least, he has something to show for his impact in a bigger and better league like the La Liga which carries more weight than the POTM Iheanacho won in the EPL based on your perspective that 7-8 ratings are not the same in regards to the ranking of the Ukrainian league. As you rightly said, you fit get carry over because of 1 mark. grin Don't you think so?

Remember, a player may score many goals but another player will be recognized with an award to acknowledge and show that the player made more impact than the one that scored many goals.

Example Kante won the EPL player of the year ahead of Diego Costa. Ndidi won MOTM ahead of Mahrez in a match. Fact

Moreover, based on your perspective Paul Onuachu shouldn't be in the picture because there are many players in bigger and better leagues that outscored or equalled his goals tally this season, so why make him as a reference point if you are aware of that? grin

Ok let me clear myself. I don't have problem with Iheanacho, Musa and Simy making the list. Though, Simy came as a surprise to me but I am not against his inclusion. I am against the false informations, analyses etc given here in regards to Kayode which I will not swallow as you wouldn't for Iheanacho, and the inclusion of Lokosa(I have already moved on this . Simple.

Iheanacho and Musa(I can't remember) were among my sure bankers players to make the list 23 list even before Rohr released the 30 man list.

So, putting Iheanacho and Musa in the discussion is irrelevant.

And uhmmm.. Lol.. everyone on here... Okay... Let me say what I think I am certain of... "Almost" everyone on here knows the bolded is a big fat lie... I don't even have to speak for myself on that. Lol
I still remember our Martin's debate.

What did say to those brings players down? Why are you not fishing dem out? Or you don't see anything?

However, can you explain how one brings down a player let me see if you have not done that too? because I am not understanding.

And Fred and Taison picks were because they did it as major influential players in a top team like Shahktar and they also excelled in the UCL... The World's no.1 and biggest club competition.
Malcolm for instance is ligue 1 only but Fred and Taison were not just restricted to Ukraine. They played UCL football and excelled too against some of the best. They were picked for their impacts and major influences in Shahktar's successes this past season... Fine UCL campaign, league success and cup success. Kayode just came into Shahktar... He is not responsible for Shahktar's triumph. So his case is different compared to Fred's and Taison's.
Where was this perspective when some people here rated Onyekuru who was only restricted to Belgium pro league last season ahead of Kayode who was the best influencer in the Austrian league and also excelled in the world's no 2 and second club competition, with impacts against some of the best in the Europa League last season?

Why you no analysis am this way then? Why now?

If Kayode didn't make impacts for Shakhtar Donetsk in the triumph, how come he was recognize with MOTM and also made player of the month in the same month they won the Cup and the league?

Besides, Williams Jose also played in Europe too.

Even in the use of stats... You sometimes choose to be selective. You did this in a very wrong way in the Solanke-Nacho debate where I had to dig out their time stats and goals stats to show you that a point you made to rubbish Nacho was false. I am a stats god... And I always insist on full analyses and proper breakdown of stats. I don't do selective stats talk.
How many other apart from these two I admitted immediately I was corrected?

Abi, you wan claim you didn't make wrong stats here?

What about the one you claimed Martins played as a striker against Swaziland when stats and those who watched the match confirmed he played as an attacking midfielder?

What about the one you said Kayode didn't perform when given the chance?

But it is well... After all is said and done, yes, let us move on. And move on we shall.... wink
Abeg, I don't tire for this matter. EOD
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by forgiveness:
TheSuperNerd:
Uhmmm... Shahktar is actually a top club in Europe... They are no. 15 or 14 I believe right? Not sure... But definitely in top 20. I only will like Kayode's stay there because of the UCL. I even said so to you earlier on this convo remember? That I will love Kayode to play UCL football.

I have no issues with Shahktar. I only have issues with rhe league's quality. A player of his talent based on what I have noticed having followed him over the years deserve a place in one of the big 5 of Europe. And I sincerely hope Ukraine is a huge stepping stone to that level.

So it is not about Shahktar the club....nope... It is about the league Ukraine. I want Kayode in a Big 5.
How do you rate the quality of a league?

You can measure the quality of a league by its team performance in the biggest European competition against the best clubs in European TOP 5 leagues.

Suffice to say that the unit measurement standard to measure, rate, weight etc, the QUALITY of a league is the performance of a team in the UEFA Champions league and the Europa league to some extent because that is the idea of the competition in the first place. Fact. Opinions doesn't work here. There is already an officially established recognized institution that does the rating. Fact.

Abi I lie?

Now, what was the performance of a team from the Ukrainian against the best team from EPL and Seria A this season?

1. The team from the Ukrainian league was able to break the UNBEATEN record of the current champions of the EPL. This is what the EPL teams could not do as at the time the record was broken. Even the Seria A teams could not dare do it

2. The team from the said Ukrainian beat both the current second best team in the Seria A and the UEFA Champions league Semifinalist too which both came from the Seria A. Fact.

However, if the quality of the Ukrainian league is low, why were they able to achieve this feat against these top clubs from the top 5 leagues?

Because quality is there. Simple

Therefore, the quality of the Ukrainian champions is not questionable, so far dem dey beat the best from the best teams in the top 5 leagues in Europe. Fact.

Anything outside this fact, is just a personal opinion. fact.

So you only chose to reply this one huh? After schooling you on your lies on K.Nwakali not being ever named among the top 100 teens ba? I told you he made Marca's Top 50 in 2017 but ofcos you stylishly and shamefully will not quote that one ehn? cheesy

Everything you have spilled... And I mean everything you have reeled out on that kid is a lie. You always try to sound right but mister, YOU ARE WRONG. Your views on our Nigerian youth grade graduates are almost always in the negative. It stinks and I will have none of it flying around without some counters.

Me calling you liar is based on so many things mister "Southgate" like your lies on K.Nwakali and your deceitfully cunning way of stating half truths and running with silly selective analyses.
All season Kayode also had a poor goal return and you refuse to call that poor... But with Nacho... You are quick to say Poor... Is that not the height of hypocrisy and selective analysis? This rubbish of yours better be curtailed mister because I know exactly who you are and what you do. I did my homework man but i respect people's privacy. Just stick to what you know and stop polluting the thread with your half truths syndrome. It stinks so bad honestly.

And yes on this league rating... You lied! I recall your use of Europe big five and also Europe's top seven many aeons ago on this thread. When we talk Europe's Big Seven... There is no Ukraine. There is huge difference between 7 and 8... And it is 1. 1 is the different between failure and pass in secondary schools man... Just one mark or one thing or one decision can decide a man's fate. So ONE is very huge. Deal with it. cheesy

And I repeat... Kayode does not merit a place on the final list of 30 above Ighalo, Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa, Simon Moses, Alex Iwobi, Victor Moses and Simy Nwankwo. All these guys did it in bigger leagues than Kayode and against high quality oppositions.

Ofcos China is not bigger than Ukraine... but we know who Ighalo is to the team. The team's top no.9 and has done his thing in the EPL and most importantly... he is still on song in China... Also Simon Moses is in Belgium which is below Ukraine but he earns his place as he is a winger and has proven himself in the GWG.. kayode is a 9 and yes... he has not been given enough games to show his stuff in the GWG but this is because of other forwards ahead of him... his time will come. Patience is key.

All (ofcos Chinese league is not done yet) finished their seasons very strong.

All except Simy have proven themselves in the GWG and are all way ahead of Kayode in the national team set up...

Simy edged Kayode simply because he brings something different with his height plus style of play and also because he was doing the deed and finished strongly in the Serie A unlike Kayode who also finished very strongly but was doing it in Ukraine.

Serie A >>>>> Ukraine. You cannot compare the quality of both leagues.

What about Ebere Paul Onuachu who outscored all Nigerian forwards in Europe? Why wasn't he picked or called up? No one is talking about him... But why should we? He is in Denmark... Kayode's Ukraine is even way way way ahead of the Danish League.

All these things have to do with "IMPACT FACTORS"... Every league has an impact factor... If I am able to score 10 goals with 11 assists and put in some strong performances in the danish league... There is no way it can be compared to the impact factor of another who scored 5 goals with 5 assists in the LA liga..... Impact factor is the key and this is why Kayode does not edge anyone on that list

Rohr picked Simy and justifiably so because he has already seen Kayode a couple of times in training and believes in Simy he can see something different... If Simy fails...then that is his f**king cup of tea.

He only would have edged out Lokosa but unfortunately Lokosa on the local front was doing things even better than what Stephen Odey was doing last season in the NPFL. Rohr and his crew just had to recognise the man, Junior Lokosa because his stats for a forward on the local front was staggering. Ofcos in terms of impact factors... Kayode's 3 goals edges... But fact is... Lokosa is based in Nigeria and the issue of giving the local players a chance with the team is always constant. Lokosa would never have been called up had his goal stats not been way up there in the NPFL (18goals in 21 games before his invite). This is why Lokosa had to be included... For the local front's sake. But the others in the forward positions all edged out Kayode on pure merit.

This is why I find your stance on insisting Kayode deserves a chance in the list of 30 very very funny considering his goals return all season.

Forgiveness, when trying to give us a breakdown of some of the forwards' stats all season in all comps... He did something very very funny... (egbon forgiveness... You know it because I caught you...) grin

Forgiveness gave us Kayode's goals stats for only his time at Shahktar ( a half season stats)

Then he dropped goals stats for Nacho and Simy for the entire season... and wanted is to do comparison... That is utterly unfair analysis.

See... You and Forgiveness agree on a lot of things and ofcos I know why..... But at least... Try to be holistically balanced in your analyses... Coz it irritates me so much to see so many half truths flying around here. It annoys me.

We won't build the best Super Eagles based on half truths. We will build it based on full and very balanced truths.

I personally don't want Kayode in Ukraine... I want him in a top 5 league. I hope Ukraine can only launch him into a top five league. I have followed that lad from 2009 U-17s where he wore the No.10 shirt as a very lively striker. Ajagun wore no.9 but was a midfielder.

Both players caught my eyes and I have been excited about them even more than I was about Onazi. Onazi was not even a prominent feature in that 2009 team. He was mostly benched.

I have a dream of a Really Super, Super Eagles side and want the best in every position lined up for us from the regulars to the bench to the fringes and to the prospects. I Dont f**king care what a player is called or where he is from so long as he can ball and has those footballing qualities, skills and attributes to make us really great.

This is part of why I don't appreciate when some of us here take the dirty path of rubbishing another player to promote another. Egbon Forgiveness, forgive me... But you do that a lot without knowing it. I understand your passion as well... But you really must learn and try to apply calm and balanced analytical approaches to things like this.

When you clamoured for Bryan Idowu, And even brought up Tyrone Ebuehi... I did my homework and found out that indeed we have quality prospects in those two... And here they are in the team. So relax... Those two are just two of several you spoke about... I remember also mentioning a few from time to time from way back... Sir Tbaba1234 also will spot some and mention... and we all will begin following. So far so good... Some are in... But some are still yet to get a chance... But time is still coming.

I know you want to see the best of The Super Eagles but you must stop the mentality of rubbishing some players who are actually quality because of those you feel and you passionately desire to have on the team. I understand we all have favorites and it is okay... But for me... You as a player become among my favorites when I see what your abilities, traits and footballing attributes bring to the Super Eagles for the present and for the long run too.

For example, I love Isaac Success so much that I spoke out against how Komekn called him a waste man... But when the 30-man list was released... And some on twitter were cursing Rohr for not including Success... I laughed and said they are on drugs. because I know the truth.
But guess what... I still believe in Isaac Success' talents... I call him the beast and I hope he can get his acts together and rise up to fulfill his huge potentials.

Let this half truths nonsense stop. If we must analyse. We must do it ly and holistically and not comparing one's half season stats with another 's full season stats.

And we must be ready to use same indices of arguments and ratings for all our players... Not today Komekn says A when judging Iheanacho and will switch to B when judging Tammy Abraham... It is so so funny and amateurish... And we must accept that some leagues are just way bigger than others. Impact factor counts a lot. This is why even after K.Nwakali's outstanding showing against Atletico... I have been against anyone bringing up talk of his calls to the Super Eagles for Russia. Ofcos Rohr won't even do it even if we all say he should ne called up... But I had to take the right stand and say... "Let the boy grow... His time will still come but he has shown us he is indeed one for the future."

This is World cup Season... We must want the best for this team and stop polluting this thread with wrong perspectives on our players or running with half truths... This is the time for Truth to be spilled in its fullness.

No selective analysis biko. Thank you.
Hahahahahaha! You are trying very hard to discredit the quality of Shakhtar Donetsk because they play in the Ukrainian league.

Are you saying because Shakhtar Donetsk plays in the Ukrainian league they are below clubs in the Seria A, Ligue 1, La Liga, Bundesliga and EPL?

If yes, Did Shakhtar Donetsk had impact factor on Manchester City, Napoli and Roma which are currently the best teams in the EPL and Seria A? grin

If yes, why?

However, what was the Brazilian coach thinking for choosing two players from the lowly Ukrainian league, Taison and Fred ahead of Williams Joe who scored 15 goals in the La Liga and Malcom who 12 in the Ligue 1? Remember these are in the top 5 leagues in the world. grin

Well, my own personal opinion is the two are playing in a bigger and better club with a winning mentality. The impact factor is the winning mentality.

Perhaps, the coach preference. EOD

So, let us rest it.

However, I don't understand what you mean by that bolded. It's not true because I posted Kayode's full season though one game was still outstanding and I did the same for others. The only mistake I made was the one assist which I immediately acknowledged was not adding Kelechi's one assist. Nothing more.

This is the snapshot of what I posted and the current Kayode's full season after he played the one match left.

What is the difference?

So, where is the half truth?

Besides, if I rubbish any player, can you please show how I did that?

In my own personal opinion, I also think you rubbish some players knowingly or unknowingly.

Anyway, let us move on.

Kayode was not given opportunities indeed. Go and tell that to all the guys on the streets who are 1000x better than Kayode but never even got to play ball.

Una never hear the saying "Opportunity Comes But Once"
In the first match match Kayode made his debut, he made an instance impact by proving an assist as an SS that recused us the first defeat as seen on that video.

This is the review he got in his second match against Togo which Onyekuru's debut for the Super .

Olarewaju Kayode – Showed his quick pair of heels and abilities to get past his markers. Loves to defend as well, and always looking to play forward passes to help maintain the team momentum going forward….. 6/10

Henry Onyekuru – Got involved when he came on but didn’t get into goal scoring positions unlike the previous game against Corsica. Still showed glimpses of his potentials with good link up play and neat passes…… 5/10

His third match was against South Africa.

Olanrewaju Kayode: Came on for the disappointing Iheanacho and just like Musa, troubled the South African back line. Has a strong case for a starting spot in subsequent games (5/10).

https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/average-super-eagles-players-rated-vs-south-africa/amp/

Olarewaju Kayode – Lively for the duration he spent on the pitch. Used his pace to trouble the defence of South Africa but came on at a time when Nigeria were struggling to get going…..2/10

Olarenwaju Kayode 5/10

Thrown in when Eagles needed goals desperately. A player of boundless energy, he used that to good effect as he got into decent goal scoring positions. He was menacing as the point man and caused a few problems.

http://allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=23378

However, Onyekuru's debut was against Corsica a non official match and this is his ratings.

Henry Onyekuru – Looked lost and tensed. Missed a sitter which could have drawn Nigeria level shortly after they went behind. Took up goal scoring positions but wasn’t clinical enough to convert them. Presently highly sort after by top clubs in Europe after his 24 goals haul for Eupen, Onyekuru had a debut he won’t want to remember in a hurry….. 6/10

If we are frank and sincere we would acknowledge the fact that Kayode has not been given an opportunity to show what he's got.

The talk about him being given an opportunity is absolutely false. Opportunity is not cameos. If cameos are opportunities then let no one excuse Iheanacho(yes I will mention him again because his situation presents an apt example) not being given opportunities by Puel.

In this context opportunities mean run of games not cameos.

Bias I can accommodate but bias masking as fairness I cannot and that's what we do here and when forgiveness takes our biased units of measurements and applies it to other players he is tarred and blackened.
GBAM! The bolded is the epitomy of double standard.

how many minutes did Idowu need to score a goal?

No be cameo Kelechi been dey use score for City that time?

If forgiveness wanted to argue sef, he for ask why Agbo dey list, we go understand. Forgiveness is called out because he does the SAME thing CONSTANTLY. You KNOW he will talk. He is PREDICTABLE like that, what do you now expect people to think?

As soon as that list came out, everyone knew who he would ask for. Can you say the same of others? Do you think there weren't people who frowned at Onyekuru's exclusion even if for biased reasons? Why did they not throw a tantrum and accuse Rohr of corrupt practices? Why should his excesses be condoned? Who else makes so much fuss about players selections?

Even if your man no dey, must you show yourself like that? Don't tell people not to give someone a tag when he carries it around his neck
Because Agbo actually did well this season and he has been consistent over the years. I remember, I was the first person that clamoured for his invitation to the national team when he I took notice of him at La Liga but I know what I was served that day.

Moses Simon and Kelechi are ESTABLISHED members of the team. What they did? Apart from score goals?

No be one goal Idowu score na wetin make am dey the team now? Are you implying that Kayode has not been given an opportunity? Because that would be a lie.

What kind of opportunity should he be given again? Does he have four heads? How many opportunities was Nwakaeme given? If someone decides to bring him up too, will you support the person?

Abeg, let us stop supporting nonsense simply because........someone did not make the list, shiit happens. He is not better than those who did, quote me anywhere. He did not show any outstanding value to the team, which is woeful considering his position, but there are others who met a similar fate and there is NO reason, why anybody should drag members of the team just because he feels his man did not get a fair deal. Which is FALSE

Kelechi is not the cause of Kayode's misfortune, Kelechi no be coach. So, on what grounds should Kelechi be constantly insulted to argue Kayode's case? Why is Kelechi the target at all times?

PS: We cannot compare NT to club football. That too has been established here, so the Puel and Iheanacho comparison is lost in this argument.

Kayode has been given enough opportunities, even if he did not score, he never got rave reviews either, so, why should he be on any list?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yizhr-apU2o

Who stole the ball and gave Iheanacho a pass that led to the penalty? It was Kayode that gave that assist as a SS.

How come you didn't see that? Abeg take it easy with the false information just to drive home a point.

when did Kayode suffer injury?

People that have sense already told forgiveness why Kelechi is in the list as opposed to Kayode, but some people no free hear word

Statistically, Niangollan had a better season than others in the Belgian team, he dey list? Statistically, Icardi also had a better season than others in the Argentine team, he dey list?

So, what exceptional thing did Kayode do that we will not hear word on this thread?
See for yourself. He was injured.

Besides, who questioned Iheanacho's inclusion on the list? Me? shocked

You are just insinuating.

the talk get as e be.

OK statistically Kayode had a better season than some of the players we invited so what's wrong with forgiveness pointing to that as a credible reason for his call up to the national team?

Then some will say that national team form is all that matters but how many opportunities has he had to hut form for the national team?

On the other hand, Iheanacho's had a bad season but then we give excuses like no preseason, injury and lack of game time ( all of which Kayode suffered at some point as well) and if forgiveness uses the same logic for Larry he is a tribalist. It used to be funny now it isn't anymore but then that's why this country is in a mess. see me now I have to function twice as normal because JOHESU don go strike, keeping me occupied much more than usual, no love in this country

Forgiveness listed Simy and Iheanacho's stats, from a FULL season, and compared it to Kayode's stats from HALF the season and concluded, quite CUNNINGLY, that Kayode deserved a call up.

Selective amnesia issa bastard
SMH. Where did you see that?

Forgiveness only called Nwakali a flop in the context of club football na.. Or let me rather ask him, how would you rate K. Nwakali's performance against Atleti?
Walahi! If I say I was not impressed, flabbergasted, dumbfounded etc by his performance in that match,I dey lie but since the unit measurement standard has been set here by the two faced double standard fellows, I have to stick to the rules na. grin

However, as Komekn said consistent performance at the top level leagues should determine the factor for invitation into the National team. With that, I concur.

Moreover, after watching the replay of the friendly, I discovered that when Athletico Madrid decided to keep the ball, we were dominated for about 25 minutes but as soon as we scored, they decided to give up possesion in the middle and hit us on counter attacks which eventually worked for them.

It was not as the result of our dominance in the midfield but the tactics Athletico Madrid used made us florished in the midfield.

See me now, my own is that I'm rude and disrespectful. The day I have any tiff with anyone, monikers will be registering 'present' on top my head and all attempts to explain my behavior will be futile

Forgiveness has been on about Kayode and Iheanacho since this 30-man list was released, it makes him appear somehow. The regulars are so used to him that they overlook it, but these ghost readers and co are not and so, they drag him.

This is a normal scenario on this thread, so let it be played out. Everybody will soon disappear, but that depends on how much attention you give them
The bolded is very bias and false.

Who brought up the issue?

Was it me?

Abi if somebody say something about Iheanacho, I should not respond because Iheanacho is untouchable? grin

That is just petty.
