Wow!Lagos is furious these days despite the wasted years of the military which allowed other nations to erode our headstart.I didnt know those two monsters were topped out already.I was in Victoria Island in 2008 when the project started and i thought it was a crazy idea. Now i know better.Every large modern city needs such. And this is still lagos vs kenya, what if we add abj and ibadan, with its 52year old grey 105m monster.
There many projects going on at Island, especially Victoria Island and Eko Atlantic City.

Azuri towers, Corporate Tower 2, Lagos sky Tower etc are already underconstruction in Eko Atlantic city while around the Victoria Island and ikoyi areas, 4 Bourdillon, Red Tower, Twin Towers, Lorenzo, Atlantic Resorts are either under construction or proposed.

All these projects ranges from 100 - 200m height.

Recently, the height restrictions around Ikoyi has been increased to 100m.

Forget all these bragado from our far away distance neighbors about having more skyscrapers or highrises than lagos because the facts on ground proved otherwise.

I don't believe in Him, but I like some of his attributes. Not his big fan though.

So you counted 25? Can you tell us which was your first and last floor to count? Did you count the dome structure at the top? It also caters for the height! As Karmakill told you, there were to be two penthouses at the top initially, which was revised in the final render. You should see some extra protrusion at the left edge of the top. So if you counted from the front side, know you need to add an extra floor, I hope you have some sense of scale. There you go 25 + 1 = 26. That is 26 floors without counting the dome structure. I am sure you counted the basement!
The fact that you like some of his attributes means, you know there is God but you don't know how to believe him.

You are not different from those who worship him but doesn't believe in Him.

To believe in God is very easy if you know how to believe. grin

I have seen the protrusion, that makes it 26 floors. And if we count the dome then it's 27 floors and the three basement, it's 30 floors. grin

How do I know? See the snapshots below.

The first snapshot indicated the total floors as 30 floors and 126m as the height. Meaning, they measure from the basement to the dome to arrive at 126m. grin

The second snapshot broke down every floors according to their uses.

That is why most sites don't include the dome and the basements to arrive at 26 floors and also reduced the height to 98m. This is what I have been trying to say all along. grin

Are you sure of this?I think Nigeria has more than 8 and Kenya has more than 6.Unless you knock off I&m off kenya's list.(I&m has been listed severally as 99.1m)then you have to add ThePrism to kenya's list. What is wrong with the list below? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tallest_buildings_in_Africa Maybe we should just let this building thing rest because no one is backing down, the shape shifter least of all.Trust his untruthful brothers not to urge him to face reality.Even when two of them stole the italian space centre and said it belonged to kenya, the knowledgeable ones among them still refused to correct them until the kids got disgraced.I think you should just let it go,bro. We could revisit the matter in 10 yrs time like taysa sed
O! My mistake. I wanted to say Lagos has 8 skyscrapers completed than the whole of Kenya which has only 6 skyscrapers completed.

Of course, I knocked out I&M and LéMac Tower because they are 99m & 98m respectively.

The reason I didn't add Prism and Parliament Tower is because the guy requested for only completed skyscrapers and these are not yet completed though topped out, thinking we have only 6 skyscrapers completed but he was shocked to know we have 3 topped out skyscrapers though only 2 is completed.

So, he changed his mouth from 100m above as skyscraper to 200m above and latter 20 floors above. grin

If we count the topped out skyscrapers in Lagos, they are 9 ;

1, NECOM House 160m
2, Union Bank Building 124m
3, Independence House 103m
4, Ministry of Communication Building 109m
5, Black Pearl Tower 110m
6, Champagne pearl Towers 135m
7, InterContinental hotel 105m
8, Central Bank of Nigeria 100m
9, Eko Tower 2 110m

Remember, 34 Bourdillon and twin towers(two buildings) are almost topped out

while that of Nairobi has 8 topped out skyscrapers.

Anybody can adjust that website and that is why I checked other sources.

Well, I think I am almost done with them. grin

So, with all this explanations you are still dull to comprehend and you come here to claim your education system is better than ours. Smh.

How is it that you can't understand the 108 complete is the total sum of the skyscrapers, highrises, low-rise, monument, church, airport Tower and clock Tower completed? Smh

Out of the 81 highrises, only 66 were completed but I added the ones underconstruction to make it 76. That is being fair.

Out of the 15 skyscrapers, only 3 were completed on emporis site but I went ahead to add 2 not totally completed and Teleposta Tower (not even on their list). Is that not being fair?

But I want to teach you how emporis arrived at 108 buildings.

Since, 66 highrises were completed, they added the 3 completed skyscrapers, 35 completed low-rise, 1 monument completed, 1 airport Tower completed, 1 clock Tower completed and 1 church completed to sum it up which is 108.

66+35+3+1+1+1+1=108 buildings. grin

Use ya brain. grin

Moreover, the argument was centered on only highrise and not skyscrapers, low-rise, church.. etc.

If only highrise is considered I don't need to count all those, all I needed to do was to count from only the 81 highrises and after counting I got 76 highrises (66 completed and 10 underconstruction).

O my God! I don't believe I have to explain to an alumni of University of Nairobi simply reasoning. grin

Now, tell is the 108 buildings completed the numbers of high rises in Nairobi after seeing the snapshots below? grin

American also from their statistics have continually noted Nigerians are the most educated foreigners in the U.S. That again is another huge reputation, it means we even do better than black Americans in their land.
Nigerians are also experts in so many cyber security technologies abroad.
Except for Germany(to an extent) in Europe, U.K, U.S, Canada has so many outstanding record breaking Nigerian students. This is not to say other Africans or nationalities do not surpass Nigeria sometimes, but rather to make it clear that our bad name and good names come side by side.
Now in the U.S, our bad name is centered on internet scam or 419, but let's face it, why do these white men keep falling for these scams? Scams from Africans whom they refer to as people with lower lQ's, so how then do the yahoo boys outsmart them? The scammers know many of these whites are not only greedy but also not really smart, this of course doesn't excuse their criminal activities and how it soils our name Abroad in the long run.

Okay......let me try to get sense into you for the last time using your emporis site since you've made it your alpha and omega source.

Now, according to you, Lagos has 8 buildings over 100mm and you claim emporis is your source. Well According to emporis, Lagos has only 5. See first photo.

According to you Lagos has 8 skyscrapers, according to Emporis Lagos has 6.

According to you, Lagos has 120 high-rises, well according to your emporis source, Lagos has only 72 high-rises. See second photo and the link for Lagos on Emporis is right here.
https://www.emporis.com/city/100094/lagos-nigeria

Onto Nairobi.

According to you Nairobi has 6 skyscrapers, according to Emporis Nairobi has 15. See third picture

According to you, Nairobi has 76 high-rises, according to Emporis Nairobi has 81.

Here is the link for Nairobi.
https://www.emporis.com/city/100051/nairobi-kenya

Now, according to your Emporis source.....

Skyscrapers

Nairobi - 15
Lagos - 6

High-rises
Nairobi - 81
Lagos - 72.

Next I'll burst your bubble on Mombasa, PH, Abuja, Eldoret, Kisumu.

Lets see your lies and stupidity now.
Dis guy just dey yap me anyha. grin

First of all, I will educate you on how to read and interpret emporis.

From the snapshots below, the colors indicates the present states of the highrises and skyscrapers completed, underconstruction, proposed, unbuilt and demolished. A color is placed beside a highrise or skyscraper to indicate its current status.

If it is blue, it's a proposed project. Meaning it's doesn't exist neither is it underconstruction.

Purple means it's underconstruction. Meaning not yet completed or topped out.

Green means it exists or completed.

Yellow means unbuilt or abandoned.

Red means demolished or no longer exist. grin

Are you learning? Good boy. grin

Now that you have learned something, we will now get to how to count based on what you want.

We are only counting skyscrapers completed.

Now, you said Nairobi has 15 skyscrapers completed, ba, because you don't know the rules or you want to go your normal way of being mischievous.

From the snapshot below, there are so many purple and blue placed beside the buildings to indicate their current status and remember I told you I still double checked from other sources such as Wikipedia and skyscrapercity before I made my conclusions. As a result of that I discovered Teleposta Tower was missing from the list and I included it on the list to show how truthful I carried out my research but you want to be mischievous.

Out of the 15 skyscrapers, 2 indicates yellow (abandoned), 5 indicates blue (planned), 5 indicates purple (under construction), 3 indicates green (Completed).

However, out of the 5 that indicates purple, 2 indicated the year of completion. Meaning, they are topped out but construction is still going on in the buildings.

I didn't stop at that, I still verified the ones that indicates the purple and the blue ones from different sources. And I discovered that some of the blue ones are underconstruction.

Since, we based our argument on completed skyscrapers, I did my arithmetic by adding the 3 completed ones with the 2 that indicates the year of completion and it gave me 5 skyscrapers. Then how did I arrive at 6 skyscrapers completed for Nairobi if I made it my alpha and omega source? grin

No, I didn't, I still checked other sources and I discovered Teleposta Tower was missing. I added it to the 5 to make it 6 skyscrapers completed.. grin

You see ya life. grin

Emporis somehow is current with the constructions going on in Kenya that is why you see the year of completion dated 2016. Though not perfect but credible. grin

2&3 pictures indicates the list of all the 15 skyscrapers and their status. grin

The same way I carried out my research for Lagos. Emporis indicated 6 skyscrapers for Lagos, 5 completed and 1 proposed which is the Stratosphere (218m). grin

Are you for real? grin do you agree nigeria has the tallest building in Africa? grin

I didn't count it but after my research, I discovered the ministry of Communication Building was missing and the two skyscrapers completed this year were also missing. The Black Pearl Tower 24 and the Eko Tower 2(I even posted the video and pics). I added the three to the 5 and it gave me 8 skyscrapers completed. grin comprehend!? grin

As it stands, Lagos has more skyscrapers completed than the whole of Kenya. grin

Next..... grin

The same rules were applied for the highest numbers of highrise in these cities.

If you apply the same rules, you will only get 76 out of the 81 highrises because some are either proposed or unbuilt. grin

Like I said earlier, it seems emporis has up to date information on buildings in Kenya till 2016 because I saw all your projects on their list save one. grin

Afterall, I still requested to add to the list but you lied you can't count the numbers of 12-storey towers in Nairobi. Chikena! That concluded it. grin

On the other hand, Emporis listed 72 highrises for Lagos but after I went through their list, I counted 68 highrises and after thorough search, then I came up with 126 highrises. I didn't just come up with the numbers, I listed them here for all to see. grin

Emporis somehow is not current with the constructions going on in Nigeria.

Bhuuuhahaha! You can change the fact on ground with this ya mago mago way of life. grin

My dear Kenyans...why are we really wasting our time engaging in meanigless round and round nonsense.
We all know who is in a better place. Last I checked I still have water, elec and a proper sewer system and I am safe and I exist in an environment where as a young Kenyan anything is possible.
Fuel is stable, been paying the same water bill for three years, I have a fully functioning school and hospital near me, the roads are okay...not the best but better than 5yrs ago, unga just came down.
Yet we are comparing ourselves to a country where they still think mono rails are cool and better looking trains are the ish.
When they should be thinking can the trains carry cargo?...do mono rails carry the max number of passenger to and fro? How is this train or road going to affect the greater economy and not just building things cause they look better. A country that can sell oil in the tunes of tens of billions and still have a 30% deficit in their budget and lack foreign currency!
So Kenyans...let us move on. Lets keep working..if we don't we might come to see powdered milk as okay and actually be comfortable with it...when we all know powdered milk is for when there is a crisis!

Boss your Jelousy will kill you its clearly 25floors not including the dome... Nop our finishing is same as the render...
That was why I asked if the second is a render. If I go by what I counted in the second render, it is 25 floors.

That's why it is good you showed the pictures. It has 26 floors and the snapshot from the official website indicated 4 as basements.
