So where are the 8 Lagos skyscrapers? lol. You can't say Lagos had 8 complete skyscrapers when you haven't listed even 1.
Lagos has 6, Ibadan 1 and that's it. No other in Nigeria.

KCB is 100m, Le'Mac is 126m
(I wonder where you are getting the less than 100m figure lol)

Prism is topped out so it's already a structure with a 133m height.

Anyway I could still remove Prism and I&M but Nairobi will still have 8 (with numerous under construction including Africa's tallest tower) against 6 from Lagos.

am sorry accra vilagio vista is 27 floors. pls update yourself. an intention of building hope city is also under plan.http://house.jumia.com.gh/journal/10-tallest-buildings-ghana/ this is what jumia nigeria blogs says
Emporis is a more acceptable and recognized source for sure discuss, not jumia. And if you want to go by skyscraper height of 50 m above, it will be suicidal to pit Accra against Abuja. Abuja will dwarf Accra. grin

As it's, Villagio A is 25 according to Emporis and wikipedia.

Remove I&M bank (99m), Prism Tower (still under construction) and LéMac Tower is not up to 100 meters.

KCB is likely 99 m.

If we remove all those, it will remain 6. grin

Whereas, Lagos has 8 completed skyscrapers. I didn't add the two in Abuja and one in Ibadan. grin

Then, how can you say Kenya has more skyscrapers than Nigeria? grin

Ibadan also had a skyscraper before Dubai had one but that's a single building that stands out as a sore thumb in the middle of badly planned ugly midgets. Sorry sir, that's not enough to call Ibadan a city of skyscrapers.

I don't know why you're so inclined on this Ibadan having the first skyscraper. A skyscraper is a skyscraper irrespective of the time it was built. Nairobi got KICC 4 years after ugly Cocoa House was built and KICC is now a small tower in the mid of numerous other skyscrapers. Furthermore KICC is still an architectural masterpiece.
Ugly planned but better than most unplanned slums in Kenya's best cities. grin

Ugly but it still holds its title as the first in Sub Sahara Africa. tongue grin

Leave the history to me grin. Nigeria swells in deep history.
*Yes we have a lot of them- Benin, Kano, Sukurr, Sokoto, Ife etc.

Benin had the largest earthworks in the wall which took 150 million hours of manpower to build. It also had one of the earliest mathematically grid-planned cities in the world as well as one of the first cities to adopt a system of street lightning. grin
Kano was a medieval walled city that produced scholars and flourished from trade especially through the trans-saharan trade routes. Leather and other fine goods produced in Kano and hausaland were valued for their quality in European courts. grin
Ife produced some of the finest and realist works of art in the world during the middle ages. Over a thousand years ago, Ife had paved courtyards and streets. grin

*Oyo empire not Ibadan empire. Ibadan was just a provincial city, the captial was Oyo.

*True as well as Edo and Hausas.
Help me tell am. grin

Besides, Oyo empire is different from Ibadan Empire(though they didn't succeed in the unification of the whole tribe). grin
