jotey:He WAS a Liverpool player.EOD ![]() |

jotey:Did you Sheyi Ojo play for Liverpool last season? ![]() He is definately better than Success who is struggling to play in lowly Watford. Success no bad ooooo. ![]() |
jotey:Ok! Agreed. Sheyi Ojo is an academy player of LIVERPOOL fc. ![]() We know the best player in Watford can't lace the shoes of the worst player in Liverpool. ![]() Now, that is the difference. ![]() |
Kakamorufu:I see. Thanks |
jotey:Check the snapshot and pls tell me if his name is missing. ![]()

jotey:Sheyi Ojo was playing in the Championship with Wolves before he was recalled from loan to play in Premier-league last season. This season, he was a sure banker to make the team before injury blighted his season. All the players I mentioned are not Academy players. Sheyi and Ovie are considered Liverpool first team players before injuries came their ways. Which one is academy player on my list? |
maidaboi:Oga, Sheyi Ojo was bought for 2.13million pounds at the age of 14 years. The most expensive player bought at 14 years of age in the whole wide world. ![]() Sheyi Ojo has played in the Liverpool team while Success is struggling for a minute in Watford. ![]() Lookman has played 6 matches and scored one for Everton. Three days ago, I saw Kalu, Simon and Rabiu played in the Europa against Genk. I was not impressed with Gent style of play. They were too rigid and too couscous. Maybe that limited and reduced the abilities of almost all their players to mediocre. And it really affected our Nigerian players. Kalu and Simon played as RWB and LWB respectively in a 3-5-2 formation while Rabiu played in the Middle. So, both Kalu and Simon were cautious of defending duties to adventure to the attacking position. Some how, they pick up in the second half after the boring first half. That was when I noticed the coach lapses by not allowing his players to express themselves. They team showed great passing skills and dribbles. However, I will narrow my assessment to our naija boys. Rabiu Ibrahim: This boy has added aggressiveness and physically to his sleek kind of play. This boy is very skillful with all his moves, touches, dribbles and passes. As in you can't what he is going to do next with the ball. He plays exactly like Jay Jay Okocha but unfortunately players like him can't succeed in this era where emphasis are more on speed and tactics than the former days of Ronaldinho and Co. He can only thrive in a team in the Spanish league. The only floors I saw in his game are, he doesn't demand for the ball and he doesn't when to make a pass. He looks raw. I think more playing time will improve his game. Samuel Kalu: I think the formation reduced his ability. He is very skilful and he always wanted to take a shot at goal (unnecessarily). After dribbling, he seems not to know what to do with his final decision. Meaning his final decisions are very poor. Lost the ball unnecessary many times before he finally got his act right with a pass that led to the only goal of the match. Simon Moses: As a LWB in a 3-5-2 formation, his ability was also limited. He ventured to the front in the first half but I can't really notice him in the second half. Though, he could have seen his free kicks and corners convert if the strikers were not wasteful. I think accurate delivery of crosses his a plus to him but I was not impressed with his game holistically. |
enomakos:That is Benin school of thought. We still have the image of Oduduwa but he doesn't look like Benin people. You know. |
Kog45:@bolded is still what I can't fathom but I no agree make we dash home based quota ooo. We can invite the very good ones but not at the detriment of the better ones in Europe. |
Icon4s:Etebo is better either as a SS or Midfielder. Another player should take the RW. |
Kakamorufu:When I heard his parents are from Cameroon and Congo, I wonder why he looked like half cast. |
Icon4s:Friendlies are organized to test new players and for team cohesion. Almost all the players I mentioned have agreed to play for Nigeria. ![]() |
![]() How Nigeria Can Win 2018 World Cup- Kalu March 18, 20170464 Former governor of Abia State, Dr Orji Uzor Kalu has advised Nigeria on how she can win the 2018 World Cup, advising the federal government to invest in Super Eagles. He said that Enyimba winning the African Champions League back to back when he was in charge in Abia State was not magic but an outcome of good strategies. He said the motivation of players and the entire team must be key, stressing that players would give the best if they are well handled. Kalu said, “People don’t know that the coach you see when you are watching football is not the same coach you will see after 90 minutes. When they are on the pitch, they are no longer human beings. They are thinking about consequences of losing, their salaries, benefits, where else to get a job and so forth”. Kalu indeed tipped the Super Eagles to lift the 2018 World Cup in Russia. According to him football is a big business insisting that if the Super Eagles is in good shape, Nigeria can make history in 2018. The former governor said “If we are given the opportunity we can bring the cup to Nigeria. We have the material; we have everything to do it. We have the people, we have the resources. It is just applying it at the right place. “We can do it if President Muhammadu Buhari sets his mind on it. Nigeria can come back with the World Cup, this is not the first time I am saying it, we can do anything in soccer. It might sound impossible but it is very possible. I am sure most Nigerians will be very happy to see Nigeria return with the World Cup”. Asked why Enyimba still lack structure and stadium of their own despite winning the Champions League back to back, he said “the issue of running football can be expensive. We ceded the stadia we built to Enyimba. I don’t know why my successor reverted that decision. We were trying to set Enyimba back to stock market. We even called the BGL at that time to access how we can go to stock market. We were at the edge of sealing it before I left the government and I thought my successor would complete it but it was abandoned. But it is still possible. “Now, Enyimba is playing away from home and I am advising Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to do everything possible to return Enyimba to their ground. They need to be in Aba. Aba is their base and I don’t see reasons why they should not play from there”. Continuing, he said, “I built two stadia when I was governor, Aba was a playing ground and I converted it to be a stadium with a capacity to carry people . Also I built a new stadium in Umuahia. It is important Enyimba is returned because it will have positive psychological effect on both the players and supporters. Kalu also commended the Enugu Rangers International club for their strive so far, saying the club would go farther if the managers and players do their job with passion. “Enugu Rangers can also perform magic, mind you, in the old Rangers have already done mehala – wahala. “So Rangers can reinvent the mehala – wahala in Enugu again. I have a lot of respect for Enugu Rangers. It is one of the teams that I have always thought to be up there. But I believe with good pushing, they might be able to keep soaring. But the handlers and the leaders must be passionate, football is all about being passionate about it. Kalu, who was once tipped for FIFA Presidency disagreed with those that holds coaches’ decision as best. He said coaches should never be left to make decisions alone because, according to him, when they make decisions, sometimes it is very wrong. “Once they are on the line, it is a different ball game. This is why journalists were criticizing me that when I was governor, I use to be on the line. I use to do the coach’s job. They don’t know my state of mind is different. I think better than the coaches at that period. This is why I was doing the changes in Enyimba. And also hiring and buying the players myself. So, it takes a lot to build a football club. People must be honest both the holder and the beholder” he said He also denied wanting to contest for FIFA Presidency or CAF Presidency when asked about his future shots in football leadership. He disclosed that it was people that were prevailing on him to contest. “I met with Amaju pinnick many times. In fact, I was supposed to be chairman of NFF and pinnick my deputy. There is no job I cannot do in football whether it is at club level, regional or world level. My mind is always prepared to serve in any capacity because I love football like food. I love it like Dodo , moimoi, akpu or amala”, he stated . http://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/877030138?-18946:4882:0 |
![]() Top Goalscoring Teenager In England Abraham Hits 19th Goal For Bristol City Published: March 17, 2017 Top Goalscoring Teenager In England Abraham Hits 19th Goal For Bristol City Bristol City have climbed three places to nineteenth on the Championship table after a 4-0 hammering of promotion-chasing Huddersfield Town at Ashton Gate on Friday night. In the 13th minute of first-half stoppage time, Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham doubled Bristol City’s advantage after steering home a low cross from Cotterill. Three minutes after the restart, the England U21 international almost notched an assist but teammate O’Dowda saw his header come back off the crossbar. Just after the hour mark, the lanky striker required treatment on the pitch after challenging for an aerial ball but it turned out it was just an injury scare, and he continued playing until the 86th minute when he was substituted. With 19 goals for Bristol City in the league, Tammy Abraham is the top goalscoring teenager in England’s top four divisions this season. In the coming days, the Nigeria target will link up with the England U21 squad for international friendlies against Germany and Denmark. Icon4s:Hehehehe! You funny die. ![]() You know how dem dey cap players na. ![]() If you identify a very talented players with dual nationally, it is expected you give them sense of belonging and quickly cap them. Noah is really a case study because Germany eyes dey for the boy but Rohr approached him and gave him a sense of belonging. They don't have nationally issues. They will play for Nigeria after the U20 WC. Tammy, Odubanjo and Lookman have agreed to pay for Nigeria. E remain Dominic Solanke whom we have not approached and Sheyi Ojo who is still lingering. ![]() |
YonkijiSappo:Hehehehe! No mind the guy. I wanted him to answer those questions before I gi-am the meaning of Eweka. ![]() They even alluded Benin is the oldest Kingdom. I think some of them are revisionist. |
komekn:Of course, I admitted Etebor is ahead of Ovie. No doubt about it but Ovie get talent and if he plays regularly he will get better. To cap him now is reasonable and normal thing a sensible FA will do but NFF go wait until dem become supper star. |

Hehe! Very very very busy. Though I read comments. |
ChrisKels:I go give you facts tomorrow. ![]() |
ChrisKels:And you are sentimental with anything local. ![]() Sentiment na sentiment but not in this case. Thanks. We are doing fine by His grace. Thanks |
maidaboi:When 'Isaac' makes Liverpool's bench then let us debate. ![]() Which Musa? The one in slovakia abi na where? Abeg, make we talk better thing. Simon can't just bench Ademoola because he(Lookman) offers more than him. I saw Simon, Kalu and Rabiu yesterday. I will give my verdict on them later. Kelechi is never better than Solanke. Kelechi might not make Chelsea's bench. ![]() Osimhen na baby to Abraham who just scored this evening. ![]() Etebor is ahead of Ovie for sure but em go still gi-em run for him money. Iwobi is England based. |
Humility017:What I have written I have written. Iheancho is not a striker. He is what we know Kanu for. Second striker. |
