With posts like this, i feel all non naija chics that vivit nairaland will better understand why naija guys open series of threads complaining about the level of materialism and selfishness of naija chics. @ Pendo89. All your posts have been so on point. But sadly, only a few naija chics reason in a like manner as you. Majority of them think and act like the poster. I have met many of them like that.So it aint nothing new to us naija guys. |
@ OP. Before i can post a comment i need you to please answer the following questions: 1) Don't you have a dad, mum, uncle or other close family members you can ask directly for financial assistance? Since your needs for the assistance bears directly on your education, unless any of your relations mentioned above is extremely wicked, if he can affors it, he should be able to help you. 2) Can we for a moment strike out your stingy boyfriend from the picture and assume you are single. How would you have been able to cope with meeting those needs? Abeg try answer these questions make i sabi as i go take enter you. Whether na from front abi na from back. |
I have a crush on Fork Addict.
adaobi123:Ehen. Now we are talking. Na now i know say una open thread. My body don calm down now. ![]() |
Na wetin dey tire me for this kain post be this. Its been guys that have been mentioning chics names since forever. How many NL chics do we have and how many of them have actually come forward to mention guy,s names? They just sit back and pray that guys mention their names. That's all they do best. To dey form. Bloody immature things. @ All NL chics, FORK YALL ABEG. |
Abeg all nairalanders. Make una help me beg edicolove make he answer my 2 questions o. I dey wait o. fork adict: |
fork adict: @ edicolove. The questions above are meant for you to answer truthfully. Or are you trying to dodge them? If you have answered them can you please insert the quote? |
pinkrex:So if you were a judge, you can actually convict someone of a crime based on plausible deniablility and not on hard and convincing evidence? You definitely will make a wonderful judge if you ask me. |
edicolove:(1) The problem with Nairaland is that we have i.di.ots,fooooools and psychos who pretend to be the most knowledgeable beings on planet earth. FYI, i didnt see him come out with a textbook or journal stating how he will combat the issues he met and by the way, he is not my president and i dont live in his country. so whether or not he has a plan is not my problem. That is the problem of americans and aliens domiciled in america. I am a nigerian and i am domiciled in naija so i have the right to ask my 'president' on how he plans to tackle the issues threatening my existence as a nigerian. Like i said before, most of those i.diots kissing GEJ's Bottom after he uses the toilet and refuses to clean up are doing so because God's mercy prevails on your life and you and your loved ones have not been unlucky enough to be at any scene where Boko haram strikes. I ask you i.di.ot, imagine you were at the scene of the last bomb blast at the UN building and the blast made you lose your 2 legs. The doctor says that he will have to amputate your 2 legs and he did. Will you have the guts to come on NL to defend your mumu and clueless presido? Please answer this question otherwise i will ignore any further post adressed to me by you. Then you talk about enjoying 24 hrs power supply. You are soooo fooooolish guy. So because you are fortunate to enjoy 24 hrs power supply in your local hood automatically means that the whole naija enjoys uninterrupted power supply? Oh i see. Because power supply has improved in your local hood, so all other Nigerians can go to hell? FYI (funny how i keep educating lots of 'informed' guys here). THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE INDEX FOR ASSESSING THE PERFORMANCE OF THE POWER SECTOR IS TO DETERMINE THE CAPACITY GENERATED. Thruout yaradua's regime, power supply peaked at 3500MW max. I ask you, as of today 9th Sept. 2011. How many megawatt are we generating? I also need you to answer this question urgently. Till i hear from you. Bye for now assssswipe! |
Timijo:For your info. i read newspapers and i listen to news. If you check my immediate past post, you'll notice that i didn't include power in the list cos i read that a few power plants have reached 80% completion, how GEJ plans to renovate hydro dams across the country and how he plans to increase gas supply to power plants that needs it. I am aware of this and that is why i did not include power in the list. So you still have not answered my question and i need you to answer it truthfully. If you lie please note that God sees you. fork adict:Please aswer as truthfully as possible. So help you God. |
Timijo:Who be dis guy gaan sef. Men you sound so ridiculous. Ok i arrest 50 Boko haram suspects because na me by Police IG I repair 300 federal roads cos na me be Works & Housing minister I improve power generation to 10,000MW cos na me be Presido & minister of energy wey go build the power stations. I guess you are still in school from the way you talk. I will not even be surprised if you havent secured admission into any school yet. I need you to confirm this in your response to this post. And if by chanceor otherwise it turns out that you are a graduate, then with your posts, i conclude that you are not in anyway employable and you are a typical example of the crap our universities churn out all in the name of graduating students. |
Timijo:OK sir since you are the only one on nairaland that thinks before talking, i need you to answer the following questions. If you dont, i will consider you as stooooooopid and as confused as your dear president. believe me people, i dont like the way I disrespect the president. But confusion and indecisiveness irritate me to my bones and that is why i cant resist the urge to disrespect him with every opportunity i get. Ok sir back to you. Kindly answer the following questions prompted by your post. 1)I accept the fact that it is too early to start demanding for the president's achievements. But is it too early too for him to present to Nigerians how he intends to fix our major problems in the next 2 years? If you feel he has a plan, please enlighten me on how he hopes to tackle the following: a) Corruption. b) Boko Haram scourge c)our bad roads d) Falling standard of education e) Health. Just to mention a few. 2)What concrete proof I repeat what concrete proof have you got that links Buhari to Boko haram? I anxiously await your intelligent response oga timijo abi na wetin you call yourself |
peleson:I dont know anything about CPC governors because i haventvisited those states. Also for ACN, i cant tell for other states but i can tell for Lagos. Prior to 2007 when fashola was elected as the governor of lagos state, i used to hate the state. My reasons then and how Fashola fixed them are as follows: 1) Cleanliness: Lagos used to be very dirty. But after being sworn in as the governor, waste collection and disposal has taken an unprecedented dimension for the better, We now have street cleaners all over the state working sometimes as late as 6pm. Yes i have seen some of them and i wonder what there working schedule is. I guess they run shifts. 2) Roads: The condition of our roads have improved although it is still a far cry from what it ought to be. Fashola even goes to the extent of maintaining federal roads with interlocking stones and granite as temporary measures. Like i said there is still much work to be done here but it was much better than what we had before 2007. 3) Law and order: Before 2007, due to the widespread space constraints in lagos, if anyone wanted to host a party, all he needed to do was erect canopies across major streets in lagos. As far as the party organisers were concerned, all road users of the same road could go to hell. That thing used to enrage me to no end. But fashola came and made it a criminal offence to block any road for any reason. You can imagine how frustrating it used to be. 4) Education: You want try as the guy take renovate state schools across the state? 5)Beautification of lagos: Visit some places in lagos at night, you go think say na yankee you dey. Even tho i never reach yankee before. At least i dey see pictures. 6)Dredging: If not for the intensive dredging activities that he has been championing, the havoc flood would have wreaked on lagos in the past years would have been much more devastating that whatever our experience may be now. People's attitude have a major role to play here. You dont expect some massive dredging exercise to be done in an area now and the next minute you see people pouring all sorts of rubbish into drains and you expect not to experience flood when heavy downpor occurs?Other achievements abound. This list isnt in anyway exhaustive. Guy many achievements dey and i am sure other Nairalanders in other states with ACN governors can vouch for the performances of such governors. But PDP ? I aint sure anyone anywhere can attest to their stewardship. They are all crooks. From the presido to the cleaners in PDP. God go punish all of them. |
Skii:Nice observation guy. Like i earlier mentioned, many GEJ supporters on here do not fend for themselves. Now, if you work in a sound, goal driven and focused company, ( i am not referring to the civil service please), there is something called Employee Performance appraisal. What happens is each employee's performance for the previous year is reviewed with respect to preset objectives by both the employee and his boss. Immediately after this, objectives are set for the next year.In doing this, objectives are set by the boss and such objectives are cascaded from the boss downwards to the least employee in the organisation. So for a boss that has vision for his company, his objectives will encompass goals for each arm of his company. This is the best practise. On the other hand, if we have a situation where the boss asks for objectives from his subordinates (which in is what obtains in Jonathan's case cited above), it only reveals that the boss (Jonathan) has no vision on how to lead the organisation. Simple. I am not the president but if i were in Jonathan's shoes, simple plans for some ministers for the next year might be: ENERGY: Improve power generation by 10% by May 2012. Other simple objectives may also be set for the oil and gas sector Health: Maternal and infant mortality rate should drop by 15% by May 2012. Malaria and HIV occurrence rates should drop by 15% by May 2012. One teaching hospital (perhaps the first teaching hospital in naija) should be upgraded to world class status by May 2012. Other objectives bordering on primary health care availability, fake and adulterated drugs, etc etc may also be set. EDUCATION: Increase the retention rate of first class graduates from our universities in the academia by 25% by may 2012/13 by making the serving conditions more conducive.Ensure that at least one nigerian university makes the top 100 list of standard universities in africa/world as the case may be. Reduce disruptions to the academic calendar in all universities by 5% etc etc AGRICULTURE: Drive mechanised farming down to the grassrooots. For how long are we going to continue farming with hoes and cutlasses? Ensure that fertilizers get to the hands of the rightful recipients and not into the hands of some corrupt LG officials. Provision of soft loans to farmers etc etc. WORKS & HOUSING: Rehabilitation of the whole stretch of the busiest 10 or 20 federal roads across the country. Provision of at least 1000 or 6000 or 8000 lowcost in all state capitals across the country etc etc JUSTICE: Reduce the cases of detention with trial nationwide by 20% by May 2012. Ensure the full enforcement of and compliance with court judgements. Increase the access to justice of the lowly and oppressed members of the society etc etc. LABOUR AND PRODUCTIVITY: Ensure the full compliance of employers with existing labour laws. Prosecute erring companies no matter how big. Reduce the expartriate phenomenon by companies. etc etc. FINANCE: reduce inflation rate by 2% within the year. recommend economic policies that will further strengthen the naira etc etc WOMEN AFFAIRS: This is the juiciest of all ministries. The misniter is to ensure that a beauty paegent of nigerian ladies between the ages of 21 and 35 is organised monthly and the top 30 ladies shoulld be made available exclusively for the personal and emotional services of Mr President for the month after which they will be discharged with national honors and the next batch signed on. Abeg, wetin hard for here? |
This is to all anti GEJ nairalanders. I just want you all to undersatnd a few things about those GEJ supporters: 1) Many of them are not based in naija and so are not on ground to experience first hand, how great our suffering and frustrations are. 2) Many of them are still dependent on their parents or guardians and as such do not fully appreciate what it takes to fend for one's self under the current environment in naija. Let them wait until they graduate and roam the streets for 5 years plus without a job. Maybe, just maybe they will have the guts to ask GEJ what he is doing about the crazy unemployment rate. Right now, they are still in school either in naija or Uk so they dont really understand what it means to still be asking one's parents for money (after becoming a graduate) for one's upkeep when they should be the one remmitting money home regularly for their parent's upkeep. If they got any pride that is. 3) Many of them have not been direct victims of Boko Haram's attack so they don't fully understand what it takes to lose a part of one's body or a loved one in such attacks. Those attacks, funnily enough still prevail because we have a president that has got no guts to tackle the extremists head on just because he is scared that some influencial and powerful nigerians might take his attack on Boko haram as an attack on the north and he is bloooody scared of what the consequences might be. 4) Many of them are so corrupt so they dont see the need for naija to fully start the war on corruption NOW. They dont know that corruption permeates all i repeat ALL the facets of our lives. Is it power, health, roads, housing, education, security (na dis one dey pain me pass), agriculture, etc etc. They dont know that our lot as a nation can hardly be better when funds meant to effect many positive changes in all these spheres of our lives only find their ways into the pockets of a few thieves and rogues and the common man is left to bear the pain, misery, frustrations of haveing to survive under such extremely harsh, almost inhuman conditions.Meanwhile, naija is a very rich country. I think they depend on magic or goodluck for those issues to fix themselves. Like some poster rightly said. Who will deliver Nigeria from Nigerians? |
pinkrex:Sorry. do you really think there aint some honest individuals in naija despite how widespread seems to be? if you think so, you are so wrong. there are many many of such nigerians. That is all Buhari needs. those honest ones who will place the well being of the common man above their greed and insatiable kleptomania. another example of an honest man is Sanusi lamido. |
Thank God! Finally this Jona guy don soji small. But oga Presido, First things first. I expect the major custodian or operator of this database to be the police. If so, then how ready is the police for this? How many police stations have desktop computers let alone laptops? Then how many of them are computer literate? I am not talking about playing and watching nollywood movies on a PC. I am talking about being comfortable with the basic microsoft packages at least. Then oga presido, this idea can be extended to fight car theft/hijacking also by making it compulsory for all car owners to register their cars and also making it compulsory for anyone who want to buy any car to first obtain clearance from the police by running the engine & chasis number of the intended vehicle thru the database to ensure that it aint in the bank as a stolen vehicle. That way, if my car is stolen, all i need to do is to go report the incident at a police station and the particulars of my car gets fed into the databank as a stolen vehicle. So if anyone wants to purchase the car and he goes to the police to obtain clearance, the system should pop up a message that the vehicle is a stolen vehicle and the intending buyer of such stolen vehicles would be mandated to go with the police to the purchase point for retrieval of such vehicles. Very simple idea but it will require massive investment. |
gists:Guy me sef dey wonder o. I guess they don't know the true meaning of national security or national secret. I wonder if they went to school at all. Besides, most of what Sanusi said are not news to me. Take for instance the Yakubu guy. He was about the major obstacle to Goodluck's steeping in as the acting president when yaradua was so ill. If he wasnt so close to Yaradua and wanted to protect both his and yaradua's interest, why would he prove an obstacle to Goodluck's acension from VP to acting Presido? Also, why do you think we now have a massive influx of abokis from the north to the south particularly Lagos in recent years? Just one reason. They do not farm anymore. Agriculture, particularly crop production is now hell. No fertilizers, no loans to the farmers, no provision of healthy seeds etc etc. The bas.tard minister is in Abuja, embezelling all the funds meant for such ends. Now to the works and housing ministry not spending 80% of their budget. Is that a surprise? Well it aint. Cos the ministry gets a budget at the beginning of every year meant for rehabilitaion of federal roads across the country. How many of such roads get rehabilitated? all we see at best is just sand filling of pot holes on federal roads. Corruption, believe it or not is the most lucrative business in Nigeria of today. You only need to key into the right clique and you are made. GEJ being one of the most corrupt Nigerians we have right now. Such a person is the one Nigerians elected as President. We had the opportunity to elect a honest and incorruptible man as President. One who would tackle corruption head on and by example but we said he wasnt the right one to lead us. SHAME ON NIGERIA!!! OUR SUFFER JUST DEY START!!!! |
remark D:(1) I knew all along that you were not based in naija from the way youve been talking since. (2) Hell no there aint no game. What is the basis? The basic criterion on which the game was based was only if you were resident in naija which you are not. I am sure you will agree with me that since this fundamental criterion hasnt been met, then it will be fooooolish of us both to proceed with the game. Whenever you visit a doctor, you tell him what symptoms you feel and he in turn prescribes drugs that will make you feel better. You dont go to a doctor expecting him to tell you how you feel and to also prescribe drugs for you. Same applies here. You are the patient. You are to tell methe major problems confronting you as a nigerian resident in nigeria while i am the doctor that will proffer solutions to your problems. (3) Hell no i wont fire nada! But i admire your sincerity tho. Many people would have lied just to save their faces. |
remark D:I already told you that if you are resident in naija, then post the list of all the major problems facing us as a nation and i will act as Mr president by proferring solutions to all of them. so the ball now is squarely in your court. So Are you game? Cos i very much am. |
remark D:Your work wasnt in vain. i read the piece. And your level of gullibility amazes me. How many police station have an ordinary desk top computer if i ask you? let alone laptop, let alone a sound, comprehensive data bank of criminals, ex-cons, whish will have their names, their blood groups, their DNA profiles, all registered vehicles in Nigeria etc etc. You want to skip all that and bestow this 'high tech' facility on the nigeria police? Wasnt it even in the news some years back that some ex convicts were even serving in the police? Then you did not answer my question. Are you resident in naija? cos from this reasoning of yours i very much doubt. |
@ remark D. I have 2 questions for you and i need you to answer each one honestly. First are you resident in naija? Second if you are, i want you to list all the major problems you feel are facing us as a nation and i will act as Mr. President. i will proffer recommendations to every single problem you tender. If on the other hand, you are not resident in naija, you will agree with me that this excercise is baseless. But i must say that i am disappointed in you screaming for people to make recommendations for our problems. i ask you, do you think that we need a rocket scientists as our president before naija can progress? do you really think so? I am waiting for your response. remark D:Can you please listen to yourself? he invited a naija student from the uk to his office to bla bla bla. What for? to ask on suggestions on how to improve the standard of education of Oxford university or the imperial college? Or to ask for suggestions on how to improve our roads? asking for suggestions from someone who isnt on ground to experience our plight FIRST HAND? guy you are such a joker. |
Sun of god: seedord247:ROFLMAO. Jeez! NL una no go kill me. |
texazzpete:God bless you maguy. If to say you be fork addict like me ehn, i for track you down give you one fine beta chic wey go spend one night with you. orobo or lepa. Make your choice. I really find it too difficult to undersatnd how id.iotic and foooooooolish some people can be. I wan even start to answer the fooooool before i see your reply. The id.iot actually thinks i dont have recommendations for each problem that plagues us as a nation. Meanwhile, my role at work for the past 4.5 years has always been to spot problems in our processes and make recommendations on how they can be fixed. If you dont have a sound recommendation for any problem and you dare call it a problem, they way management go roast you ehn, in fact you no go ever try am again. I will wait for the remark D to insist that i make recommendations and i will give him a surprise. |
I'll come back to the issue of the expansion of the oil sector QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Power Generation: The President approved the pioneer board for the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading (NEBT) Plc, in an effort to stabilize power supply by facilitating smooth operations between independent power producers and distribution companies. MY RESPONSE: OK. So has the power supply been stabilized now? Again this is just a plan on paper Baba Abati. And you expect me to jump up and shout Hallelujah! For my messiah cometh? Baba, you kid. QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Nigeria now generates power at her highest level ever. MY RESPONSE: Baba Abati, kindly ask your oga whether na for him pocket he dey kip all those power wey he dey generate so. OK sir at what megawtat?Cos i remember vividly that during Yaradua's regime, between September and November 2008, power generation peaked at 3300MW. Was it not in the news a few weeks ago that power generation dropped by 1000 megawatt? Baba Abati is saying that despite this drop, we are still generating power at the highest capacity ever? Is this guy high on his urine? How dare you lie to my face in this manner? So where is all the power Baba Abati claims to be generating? I reside around Palmgrove area and to be candid, we have experienced an improvement in power supply to our area in the past 1 month. Just 1 month. That is my area and i believe we are just plain fortunate. My colleague at work is virtually responsible for generating his own power 2-4-7. He fires his gen as soon as he gets back from work in the evening until the next morning when he leaves his house for work. According to him, he doesnt get more than a couple of hours supply at best. This colleaugue of mine resides around Akute. So my question to Jonathan is where the fork is all the power he claims to generate? Na God talk say make Baba Abati no yarn dis nonsense where my colleague dey cos i sure say he for don break bottle for him head before SSS go fit arrest am. QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Mass Transit Train Services: The Nigerian Railway Corporation has commenced Mass Transit Train Services in five out of the six geo-political zones with the sixth zone coming on stream before the end of the year. MY RESPONSE: I used to think this Abati guy was intelligent. So the least he should have done was to mention those zones. But to the best of my knowledge, i havent noticed any increase in rail activity since God know when. ALTHOUGH I STAND CORRECTED HERE. I base my comment as a full time resident of Lagos. Or can any lagosian bear Baba Abati witness? QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority: With the establishment of the NSIA, the President facilitated direct investments into infrastructure with the priority areas being Power and Roads. MY RESPONSE: Again just a plan. So are our roads in better condition now? Lagos-Ibadan expressway is still as deadly as it has always been. Benin-Ore road is now a world class six lane road. These are about the busiest roads in the country. I really am at a loss at the roads Baba abati is talking about. QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Road Projects: The current administration approved funds for the rehabilitation of the East – West road in Nigeria in order to facilitate transportation of goods and services around the country. The Federal Government also awarded contracts for various road projects across the country whose impact will soon be felt nationwide. MY RESPONSE: This also is just a plan. Why cant this man until we feel the impact nationwide? The soon in his above statement may mean 3 years or more. Possibly less. Very ambiguous statements. QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Launch of the NigeriaSat-2 and NigeriaSat-X Satellites: Nigeria launched two satellites in August 2011. These satellites were designed and built by Nigerian Engineers/Scientists in conjunction with British Scientists and will help expand Internet Bandwidth, monitor the weather and provide early warning to prevent natural disasters like floods, crop monitoring and urban planning. MY RESPONSE: We launched a similar satellite about 5 yrs ago with the assistance of the chinkos. A few months later, the satellite disappeared in space. If we had celebrated the successful launch of the satellite just a month after launch, what would have become of our celebration when the satellite disappeared in orbit? In other words Baba abati, i think its too soon to classify this as an achievement. It may disappear in orbit in a few months and it may not. No one can tell for sure. QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Access to Justice Setting up of a 12-man Justice Sector Reform Implementation Committee to ensure the implementation of various reform that have been articulated and widen access to justice. Mr. President assented to several bills to increase access to justice including; The Human Rights Amendment Act, 2011; Legal Aid Amendment Act, 2011; The Evidence Act (which has simplified the process of collating evidence in our legal system) Ensured compliance with court judgments, especially with regard to payment of judgment debts. Repatriation of looted funds to the country. The sum of 22.5 million Pounds sterling were recovered from the Isle of Jersey, U.K. Increased focus on Legislative Advocacy via a host of pending bills designed to enhance the welfare of Nigerians Freedom of Information Bill. The President signed the FOI Bill, thereby showing his commitment to lifting the veil covering governance and deepening participatory democracy. Already there have been tangible benefits with the first FOI case instituted in court and the recent declassification of hitherto classified information. The framework for compliance of the FOI Act has been prepared by the Office of the AGF for gazetting, after inputs from critical stakeholders. Pro-Youth and People Policy MY RESPONSE: Bla bla bla bla. I beg i don tire to dey destroy your achievement baba Abati. If you like, talk say nepa no dey take light again for naija, all our federal roads na eight lane now, all our hospitals na the best in the world. Na you sabi. But my own be say if you truly believe in your heart of hearts that all this bullsheet you are feeding us is the truth, then may God forgive you for you know not what you are doing. But if you know that all what you are telling us are lies and you go ahead to feed us the same lies, then may God punish you and all your family members severely. |
QUOTE FROM BABA ABATI: Trade & Investment The National Automobile Council established an Automotive Development Fund to provide long term loans to resuscitate the automobile industry and generate jobs. A machinery is now in place for the establishment of 37 Skills Acquisition Centers nationwide. Approval for genuine foreign investors to obtain visas at the point of entry to facilitate FDI investments. Completion of Model Skills Training Centers in Abuja-a collaboration between the Industrial Training Fund and the Institute for Technical Education, Singapore, first of its kind in Nigeria Establishment of the Nigerian Vehicle Credit Purchase scheme. Began process of establishing a World Trade & International Business Center in Lagos.Commencement of the process for backward integration in Sugar & Rice Production to ensure self sufficiency. Launch of the Campaign Against the Importation of Sub Standard Products. The Economy MY RESPONSE: These are all plans on paper. If i may ask, is it wise to celebrate plans or good results? Anybody can draw up fantastic, brilliant plans on paper but not anybody can translate those plans to concrete results. So until all these plans transform into something visible, baba Abati, i refuse to applaud you and your oga. TO BE CONTINUED |
Johndoe100: filjc:I actually did not feel up to this cos i deemed it an absolute waste of my precious time. But surely, NL like Nigeria is infested with gooooooons. If i dont have my facts, and if i cant recommend a way out of an unpleasant situation, then i dont criticise. The aim of this post is to prove to any sensible Nigerian that all Baba Abati said in his piece can best be decribed as a celebration of mediocrity or just blatant lies. QUOTE: Deepening National Cohesiveness & Rule of Law National Cohesiveness: After his victory at the April polls, President Jonathan was magnanimous in victory, sending emissaries nation-wide to get the buy in from all stake holders in the Nigeria Project. As a result of president Jonathan's commitment to electoral reform, the April Elections were adjudged the freest and fairest elections in Nigeria since the return to civil rule in 1999 as attested to by local and international observers a fact so apparent that all major opposition parties with the exception of one have publicly accepted President Jonathan’s victory. MY RESPONSE: First of, Jonathan sending emmissaries nation wide to get the buy in from all stake holders in the Nigeria Project after winning the election is not unprecedented. Yar adua was the first to toe this line. You may recall his christening of his government 'THE GOVERNMENT OF NATIONAL UNITY" in 2007, after his 'victory' at the presidential polls. So for Jonathan to do same can not be considered an achievement. Second, his supposed commitment to electoral reforms isn't genuine. If it were, he should have implemented fully, the Justice Uwais recommendation on electoral reform. In addition, he would have set up a commission on electoral offences, grant the commission autonomy and empower it to prosecute electoral crimes. None of these has been implemented. The only credit Jonathan deserves is the conduct of the april polls which again was more or less forced. Yall may research the wikkileaks cables of series of meetings he had with the American ambassador where he was advised to distance himself from Obasanjo so as to prove to the Nigerian public that he has a will of his own, and where he was advised to ease out maurice iwu, install in his place a credible Nigerian and create an atmosphere that will favor a credible election. all he did was to heed to all this advice. Third. Please forget the fact that INEC registered 1000 parties for the presidential election. We all know (except if we want to kid ourselves) that the Presidential polls was contested among three parties PDP, CPC and ACN. If viewed critically, ACN can even be screened also because their candidate (Nuhu Ribadu) only used the election as a means of cutting his teeth in Nigerian politics. Dont mind the fact that ACN had a nice outing in the National assembly elections. This leaves us with just 2 political parties. So if the second political party feels outrigged at the polls, it is justifiable. QUOTE: Reduction in Election Disputes: By close of submission of election petitions it was established they had dropped by almost 80% from the 2007 figures. MY RESPONSE: I quite agree with the above. But like i mentioned earlier, Jonathan only acted in the advice of the american govt thru the american ambassador. Please i dont have the time to search for and post those cables from Wikkileaks. I leave that to any sensible and literate individual that wishes to contest this assertion. So this aint no big deal. QUOTE: Rule of Law: In the last 100 days this administration has obeyed all court judgments and respected the doctrine of Separation of Powers by not interfering in other arms of government. MY RESPONSE: Hell yeah! Like he did with the handling of justice salami brouhaha. TO BE CONTINUED. |
Kobojunkie:Point of correction. The problem with Nigeria is I.DI.OTIC Nigerians!!! Sadly enough, they constitute the vast majority of the population. This B.A.S.TARD Abati dey yarn like say no be dis same naija i dey when dem swear GEJ in till now. |
