HumbledbYGrace: excuse you!You should have sided with her if you really what me to see your righteousness. Damn well you pointed out mistakes but none ever bothered to encourage her when the crazy Channel (whatever) started bashing her asking for her post to be deleted. That sure was as discouraging as a blind man learning the sun had gone blind when he received his sight through some surgical operation. |
princesa: @mikelrelaThat's if he is going to be patient |
yuzedo: Huh?! Op, bro, do u live in 0-bedrrooms flat??Why be say I no laugh sef.... Better go look for something do ![]() |
HumbledbYGrace: While Oga Seun is fixing the problem at hand...Chapter nine author you didn't edit your chapter as agreed. Larry seems to be taking sides now, I am saying this because he is not doing his job! After y'all condemned her for picking up something which wasn't hers in the first place? Truth is, if you had done it, I would be submitting my own chapter today. But then you refused and I had no option cos of the journey. |

Mama sized Papa up her temper increasing like a thermometer inserted in the anus of a ugwigwi. What has entered into this man? Why would he bring up such an idea? “If you had not stopped thinking I would have thought it was the drink you took that is playing jamboree in your head.” Mama said her nose flaring in the darkness. “My wife, you will have to look at the various possibilities of you giving birth to the child you are carrying in your womb” Papa tried to reason. “I know but then you know abortion is same as murder, I could even lose my life in the process” Mama was skeptical. “Apart from you having complication due to the fact that there was no child spacing, women and other people will wag their tongues at you.” Papa was gaining on mama. “I know but I am still afraid, let me sleep and think over it” Mama finally said. Papa appeared at ease as he came close to his wife and gave her a nice hug, squeezing her to himself tightly, not wanting to leave her. He knew deep within him that he has made the wrong choice of asking for the abortion of the child but what then could he have done faced with both the economic and societal challenge he will face if the child is born. “Let’s go and sleep my wife, so you can think about this more clearly” Papa coaxed his wife with a deep masculine voice laden with want and appeal. “Better keep your hands off a pregnant woman” Mama replied him as she led him into the room and straight to bed where she laid awake all night weighing the odds in her head. Morning found Papa already dressed and ready to go to his office, he is a trained engineer and combined that with a little taxiing to supplement money to the house, both for the feeding and education of his children who were all brainbox. If only he had gone through formal education himself, then he surely knew where he would have found himself. But contentment is his motto as he never bothered to look at what other people have neither does he kill himself trying to acquire something he knew he would not get in a long time. “You are already up” Mama voice brought him back to reality. She helped polish his black shoe using the charcoal that cluster at the chimney of the old lantern they use in the house, applying a little kerosene. This gave the shoe a glow in the sun and does not turn dusty no matter the amount of dust kicked up. “Yes o. I have to leave early so I can get some passengers who are also early risers so I can buy petrol from the money I will realize.” Papa replied he whisked through his hair with a comb which he in turn put into his pocket. He dropped money for the day’s feeding and bid Mama bye before stepping outside the house and trekking a little distance to the garage which his car was parked. “See as Iya Basira and her husband just dey quarrel throughout yesterday night because of say heat dey and Iya Basira no want make Baba Basira touch her, Basira sef never reach one years sef. Na so Yoruba (no pun intended) people dey like that thing reach?” Oga wife queried as Mama Sarah and Mama Chika listened with rapt attention. Normal thing with these women, always gossiping about one thing or another whenever the compound becomes empty. Funny thing is whenever quarrel broke out between these women, they don’t hesitate to open up all the gossips they have done in the past. But like the adage, birds of the same feather always flock together. As Mama made her way outside to check the food she was cooking against when the children will come home, Oga wife looked at her owlishly and tapped Mama Sarah on her lap. “The way Mama Warriors behave these days, always spitting and getting easily irritated by things and smells.” Mama Chika looked at her: “I have noticed it, maybe it is not what we are thinking, but let me ask you, how come you know since you have never taken in?” Mama Sarah laughed. “Abeg leave me jor, must I get belle first to know who get belle or not? See eh, I don tay for this compound to know how e dey look like when person get belle.” Oga wife replied, a little bit loudly that Mama turned and looked at them, then went inside. “I have a message from God for someone here, that person should come outside, I have a message from heaven”. A man putting on white garment, holding a bronze staff and adorning a dreadlock and beards entered the compound. |

Seun.A.Plonker:Na night na... Thank God say I don pass the road come back house in the afternoon because I travel. Had it been I come back late, chei, e for be double wahala for dead body ooo |
No one should call that state of road in this matter as Kugbo road is well tarred and without portholes, expanded to allow as many as four vehicles drive together without touching each other. That road is notorious as the OP has said for causing lots of deaths yearly. This had been attributed most time by the locals to some eerie power but we all know better. Trailers and Lorries are not allowed to ply the road once it is 4:00pm to avoid accidents during rush-hour when workers are returning home. So this accident could have occured as a result of the stubborness of the Tipper driver. Well, RIP to the dead. Traffic was hell yesterday and public transport did not help matter as they increased the rate from N100 to N350. Some people had to sleep in the office, no be me ooooooo. ![]() But with alll seriousness, I think it is high time that the government of the FCT set up a committee that will look into the cause of that accident, and if it be spiritual, then we will need lots of Imams and Pastors to come do their stuffs. RIP to the dead once again... |
