nedostic: @Frosbel, no qualms. I know you have been quite busy responding to our responses. Thanks for this. As a former catholic I can just say wow !! The catholic church has done so much damage to the cause of Christ with their creeds, traditions, council resolutions and pagan rituals. God help us. |
II. Things that Do Cause Confusion and Disagreement A. Lack of Knowledge Hosea 4:6 - My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Ignorance causes confusion and division. Matthew 22:29 - The Sadducees were in error because they did not know the Scriptures. Romans 10:1-3 - The Israelites had zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Many circumstances may lead to a lack of knowledge of the truth. Consider some of them. 1. Some people simply have never had opportunity to learn the truth. This was the case of Cornelius (Acts 10:1-11:18) and the Ethiopian treasurer (Acts 8:26-39). Such people need to hear words whereby they can be saved (Acts 11:14). 2. Some people simply do not study the Bible diligently enough. To discern good from evil, we must have our senses exercised by reason of use - Hebrews 5:12-14. We must "search the Scriptures daily" - Acts 17:11. Much religious error and division result from lack of study. 3. Some people do not handle the Bible properly - 2 Timothy 2:15. Even if a person studies and quotes the Bible, he may not be using it properly (Matt. 4:5-7). For example, some people try to prove their practices by the Old Testament, not knowing it has been removed by Christ and is no longer in effect (Rom. 7:2-6; Heb. 10:9,10; Gal. 3:24,25; Col. 2:14,16). Other people take only part of the Bible teaching about a subject but ignore other verses on the same subject. As a result, they reach conclusions that contradict other Scriptures (Matt. 4:4-7; Acts 3:22,23; Matt. 28:20). We can truly be made free from sin only if we know the truth - John 8:32. B. Human Religious Guides Much division results because people follow doctrines invented by men, but not found in the Bible. They may determine their beliefs by human guides such as the following: 1. Preachers Some people think, "It must be right, because Rev. so-and-so says so." Preachers are useful if they preach the truth, but many teach error (2 Tim. 4:2-4; Matt. 7:15; 2 Cor. 11:13-15). We must check out all teachings by the Bible (Acts 17:11). 2. Family or friends "I was brought up in this church. If it's good enough for my loved ones, it's good enough for me." It is wonderful if our family and friends really serve God. But most people's families are in error (Matt. 7:13,14). We must obey Jesus, even when loved ones disagree (Matt. 10:34-37). 3. Creed books, church laws, and traditions Most denominations have man-made rules that the denomination follows. These rules are often written down as official statements of church doctrine (manuals, catechisms, creeds, disciplines, etc.). But men have no right to make religious laws (Matt. 15:9; Eph. 1:22,23; James 4:12). No human writing or teaching should be viewed as an official, authoritative statement of church doctrine. 4. Other human religious guides People sometimes follow other human guides such as conscience, feelings, beliefs of the majority, etc. All such standards can lead us into error. Matthew 15:9,13 - Following human doctrines makes worship vain. 2 John 9 - Whoever goes beyond the teachings of Jesus, does not have the Father and the Son. Galatians 1:8,9 - Any one who preaches any doctrine other than the one true gospel, is accursed. Jeremiah 10:23; Proverbs 14:12 - The way a man should walk is not found within man himself. A way may seem right to men yet result in death. We must trust in God's word, not in human wisdom. C. Preconceived Ideas, Pride, Lack of Love for Truth Matthew 13:14,15 - People often close their eyes and ears to the truth. They may have believed a certain way for years, so they refuse to consider evidence for other views and they reject the truth. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12 - People who do not love truth enough, will instead believe a lie and be condemned. Such attitudes invariably lead to religious disagreement and confusion. [Proverbs 18:13] To accept the truth, we must "hunger and thirst after righteousness" (Matt. 5:6). We must honestly study what God's word says, then accept truth with "readiness of mind" (James 1:19-21; Acts 17:11). D. Personal Desires and Self-Will Matthew 13:20-22 - Serving God requires self-sacrifice and effort. Some people will not pay the price, so they justify themselves in disobedience. 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12; 2 Timothy 4:2-4 - Some reject truth because they just enjoy unrighteousness. They want preachers to justify their sins. Acts 7:51 - Other people just rebel against authority and seek to please themselves. All such attitudes as these contribute to religious division, disagreement, and confusion. Conclusion Religious disagreement, division, and confusion are not caused by God or His word. They are caused by people who do not obey God's word diligently. Source |
Why is there so much disagreement, confusion, and division in religion? Even "Christian" denominations often disagree and contradict one another. Does Jesus approve of such division, or does He want religious unity? Does division occur because the Bible contradicts itself or cannot be understood? Is it caused by ignorance, lack of Bible study, human religious authority, and man-made creeds? What does God's word say? Introduction: Confusion, division, and disagreement abound in religion. Religious people are divided into hundreds of different denominations, wearing different names, worshipping in different ways, and teaching different doctrines. In this study we want to consider why there is so much confusion, disagreement, and division. Does Jesus approve of it, or does He seek religious unity? Does the Bible contradict itself? Is it impossible to understand? Do people fail to study diligently enough, resulting in ignorance? Are the problems caused by following man-made creeds and authority instead of following the Bible? What does God's word say? I. Things that Should Not Be Blamed Sometimes people suggest invalid explanations, which are not the real sources of the problem. A. Not Because God's Will Is Unrevealed or Incomplete Some people say that disagreement exists because God has never told us everything we need to know. Or perhaps truths have been lost or changed over the centuries. But consider: 2 Timothy 3:15-17 - The Scriptures provide us completely to all good works. God has told us everything we need to know to be saved. 1 Corinthians 14:37; John 16:13 -Inspired men wrote God's commands and revealed all truth. 1 Peter 1:22-25 - This gospel lives and abides forever. It will always be here to teach us God's will. When people are religiously divided, it is not because God's word is unavailable to us today. B. Not Because the Bible Contains Errors or Contradictions Some people suggest that Bible believers contradict one another because parts of the Bible contradict other parts. Or perhaps the Bible is in error or inaccurate on some points. John 17:17; Psalms 119:128; 33:4 - God's word is truth. It is always right and can never be wrong. And truth will never contradict other truth. Mark 3:24,25 - A house or kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. If the Bible contradicts itself, then God would be divided against Himself. 1 Corinthians 1:13 - The Corinthians were divided and confused. Was this because Jesus contradicted Himself and led them into confusion? No! Christ is not divided against Himself. God's word is infallible, harmonious and unified. It cannot be wrong, and it cannot contradict itself. If people disagree with the Bible, then it is the people who are wrong, not the Bible - Romans 3:4. C. Not Because the Bible Is Impossible to Understand Some people think that the average person cannot possibly understand the Scriptures, so people just naturally disagree about what it means. 2 Timothy 3:15-17 - The Scriptures make us wise to salvation, profitably instructing us to all good works. How could they do so if we cannot understand them? Mark 7:14 - Jesus expected all the multitudes who heard Him to understand His teachings. Acts 17:11 - The Scriptures give the average man a way to distinguish truth from error. God revealed the Bible to make known his will. If we cannot understand the message, then God has failed. But how can an all-wise, all-powerful God fail? He did not fail; therefore we can understand. D. Not Because God Approves Division Some people think God does not object if sincere people are religiously divided. "All the churches follow Jesus, so just join the church of your choice." John 17:20,21 - Jesus prayed for all who believe in Him to be one as He and His Father are one. Do Jesus and the Father continually disagree and contradict one another? 1 Corinthians 1:10-13 - Paul told the Corinthians to cease their divisions. Jesus is not divided, so His followers must not be divided. If "all the churches are following Jesus," why are they divided? His teaching does not divide people. So they must be divided because some are not following Jesus. Ephesians 4:3-6 - True unity is based on seven things of which there is only one each. Following many false gods creates confusion, but following the one true God would promote unity. Likewise, there are many false faiths and false churches, which create division. But there is only one true faith and only one true body (which is the church - Eph. 1:22,23; 5:22ff). Following God's true way produces unity in truth. We have now studied several suggestions people offer to explain religious confusion and division. The problem with all these explanations is that they place the blame on God and the Bible. But God is not the author of confusion - 1 Cor. 14:33. We must look elsewhere for the real causes of the problem. |

Michael Servetus was a Christian living in the 1500's who incurred the wrath of John Calvin and was murdered by him and his cronies for illegitimate reasons. He was accused of heresy and railroaded through a mock trial and put to death being burned alive at the stake. Yet such an atrocity was praised by even well-known Calvinists as Bullinger and others for generations. A couple of quotes from John Calvin himself: 7 years before the incident: "If he [Servetus] comes [to Geneva], I shall never let him go out alive if my authority has weight." After the incident: "Many people have accused me of such ferocious cruelty that (they allege) I would like to kill again the man I have destroyed. Not only am I indifferent to their comments, but I rejoice in the fact that they spit in my face." "Whoever shall now contend that it is unjust to put heretics and blasphemers to death will knowingly and willingly incur their very guilt. Servetus' final words while being burned alive tied to a stake: "Jesu, thou Son of the eternal God, have compassion upon me!" Yet a heartless modern day Calvinist comments on this saying "This phrase epitomizes the essence of his Trinitarian error" for he said "Son of the eternal God" rather than "eternal Son of God" Some Official Reasons for being burned alive: Accused of teaching against infant baptism Accused of defaming John Calvin Accused of refraining from marriage for a "long time" Accused of denying the Trinity http://www.judaismvschristianity.com/servetus.htm |
aletheia: . . .and thus is the obfuscation laid bare. You cannot simply humble yourself to address the topic, you immediately resort to name calling. This is exactly how the Catholics labelled anyone who disagreed with their creeds as fanatics or heretics. The Holy Spirit is not a "Person" you say. . .and yet He is spoken of in the Scriptures using the masculine personal pronoun rather than the impersonal form:Ah okay , so this Spirit is different from God the Spirit. So when God said he will pour his Spirit upon all flesh and which was fulfilled from the day of penetecost, whose Spirit was this, another Spirit called the Holy Spirit. As it is written it is not good to have zeal without knowledge. And you do bear a striking similarity to those of whom this was written: For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.Mate , I do not take lectures from Calvinists, those who believe in the OSAS doctrine ( Once saved always saved ). And by the way can you explain to the audience, the spirit behind Calvin when he ordered the death of Michael Servetus for heresy because he rejected the trinity doctrine. Just goes to show the spirit behind your pagan doctrine, not the Spirit of GOD for sure. If you have time read the small comment from a brother below. Bye. |

Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life. Revelation 2:10 In Ambon, Indonesia, a Christian youth camp was held in early 1999 with the theme “Soldiers of the Cross!” The camp was attacked by an angry group of Muslim extremists and a 15-year-old boy named Roy Pontoh was singled out for carrying his Bible and interrogated. When asked, “Who are you?” he replied, “I am a soldier of Jesus Christ.” The angry mob chopped at his left arm with a machete. The questioning continued, “Who are you?” And again Roy answered, “I am a soldier of Jesus Christ.” Then they chopped at his right arm. When they tried to force him to say, “Allahu Akbar,” he replied, “As far as I know, Jesus Christ is the only Lord.” Now the seething angry crowd cut open his stomach and demanded again, “Who are you?” With his last breath, Roy gasped, “I am a soldier of Jesus Christ.” The mob cut off his head and threw his body in a ditch. Martyrdom may be the end result of those who endure. In addition to Jesus, three martyrs are named in the New Testament—John the Baptist, Stephen and James. Some of the unnamed heroes of the faith mentioned in Hebrews 11:37 were also martyred. . Martyrdom is described as a legitimate response to persecution. This is not easily understood in our day and in our culture that specializes in personal “rights” and the avoidance of suffering. But a special crown is awaiting those who lay down their lives for their faith. The appropriate response to persecution that one chooses depends on that person’s intimate relationship with God the Holy Spirit and openness to His direction. No doubt if you and I had talked to Roy Pontoh before his death, we may not have detected such bravery and loyalty to Jesus. Roy passed the hot water test with flying colors. He graduated to a special place with his Lord as a victorious overcomer. Overcomers are like tea bags. You have to put them in hot water to know how strong they are! RESPONSE: Today I will live in faith and assurance that even in the test and threat of death I can be a victorious overcomer. PRAYER: Pray that all those who may face physical death today for the cause of Christ will walk in faith and realize they will never die. Yes, and I know what I am talking about. "Many will follow their shameful ways and will bring the way of truth into disrepute." - 2 Peter 2:2 1. God says bless your enemies while Christians curse them. examples Mountain of Fire and many other churches. "bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you." - Luke 6:28 2. God says thou shall not sleep with another man's wife, yet many pastors and members are guilty of this without repentance. "If a man is found sleeping with another man's wife, both the man who slept with her and the woman must die. You must purge the evil from Israel." - Deuteronomy 22:22 3. God says do everything in moderation, yet we eat like gluttons and drink like fish "Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand." - Philippians 4:5 "Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." - Ephesians 5:18 4. God says , do all things with modesty , yet we see Christian women dressing like harlots and putting a stumbling block before the brethren Proverbs 7:6-27 6 For at the window of my house I looked out through my lattice, 7 And I saw among the naive, I discerned among the youths, A young man lacking sense, 8 Passing through the street near her comer; And he takes the way to her house, 9 In the twilight, in the evening, In the middle of the night and in the darkness. 10 And behold, a woman comes to meet him, dressed as a harlot and cunning of heart. 11 She is boisterous and rebellious; Her feet do not remain at home; 12 She is now in the streets, now in the squares, And lurks by every comer. 13 So she seizes him and kisses him, And with a brazen face she says to him: 14 1 was due to offer peace offerings; Today I have paid my vows. 15 Therefore have I come out to meet you, To seek your presence earnestly, and I have found you. 16 1 have spread my couch with coverings, With colored linens of Egypt. 5. God says forgive your enemies, but I know many so called Christians who harbour malice, anger and unforgivenesses "But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." - Matthew 6:15 "But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips." - Colossians 3:8 6. God hates bribes, yet many so called Christians are prospering on the back of bribes , kickbacks and outright fraud. "But his sons did not walk in his ways. They turned aside after dishonest gain and accepted bribes and perverted justice." - 1 Samuel 8:3 7. God says live at peace with all men, yet we see Christians cheering when IDF or JTF are massacring Muslim women and children. Also we see many of our brother fighting at motor parks, in schools, in the office etc etc "Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord." - Hebrews 12:14 "Psalm 34:14 Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it." 8. I have met many a Christian who lies like the devil , yet we still call him brother , yet God hates lies and liars. "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." - John 8:44 Brethren this is not to judge , but it is high time we walk the walk and not talk the talk. Talk is cheap. "For it is time for judgment to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" - 1 Peter 4:17 Matthew 7:21-23 I Never Knew You "21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Our God is a God of LOVE, let us repent !! "Come, let us return to the LORD. He has torn us to pieces but he will heal us; he has injured us but he will bind up our wounds." - Hosea 6:4 Many of us our suffering because we practise lawlessness while holding unto a form of apostate profession. Listen to the Holy Spirit and stop following mere men, who are likely to mislead you. Let us get our bibles off the bookshelf, dust off the cobwebs and begin to read for ourselves. |

Dear Frosbel ( my name edited ), |
Sanctification is a biblical doctrine that is emphasized a great deal in Christian teaching. Yet despite its importance, it is often perceived as a religious notion too complex to comprehend. Though sanctification may at first seem to be a foreign concept, it is one of the greatest things that has and is happening to every believer in Jesus Christ. Here we will explore the basic biblical doctrine of sanctification and discuss the key role it plays in a Christian's spiritual growth. Sanctification comes from the verb sanctify. Sanctify originates from the Greek word hagiazo, which means to be "separate" or to be "set apart." In the Bible, sanctification generally relates to a sovereign act of God whereby He "sets apart" a person, place, or thing in order that His purposes may be accomplished. In the book of Exodus, God sanctifies a place of worship. "And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory," says Exodus 29:43. Even a day can be sanctified as seen in Genesis 2:3 where the seventh day is "set apart" as a holy day of rest. "Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made." Similarly, when a person is sanctified he or she is being set apart by God for a specific divine purpose. The very moment we are saved in Christ we are also immediately sanctified and begin the process of being conformed to the image of Christ. As God's children we are "set apart" from that moment to carry out His divine purposes unto eternity. Hebrews 10:14 says, "For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified." Are you set apart for God? Sanctification - Different Than Salvation It is important to differentiate between justification and sanctification. Justification is another word for salvation. Jesus gave his life on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. His blood washes away our sins and frees us from an eternity of suffering and condemnation. Believers are saved because of what Christ has already done. We can do nothing to earn salvation, it is the gift given to every child of God regardless of race, age, maturity, or merit. Sanctification occurs as a result of salvation. At the moment of conversion, the Holy Spirit enters our life. We are no longer held hostage by death, but are free to live the life God desires for us. We are thus sanctified simply because of our standing as lost souls saved by grace. Sanctification - A Continuing Process Sanctification does not stop with salvation, but rather it is a progressive process that continues in a Christian's life. Unlike the things and places that are sanctified by God in the Bible, people have the capacity to sin. Even though we have been "set apart" as God's children, we continue to behave in ways that are contrary. As Christians, we realize shortly after we have been saved that there is a new inner battle being waged within us - a battle between our old sin-lead nature and new Spirit-lead nature. Paul in Galatians best describes this inner struggle in Galatians 5:17: "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish." Like Paul, our heart's desire is to please and obey God, but our flesh is weak making sin difficult to resist. Yet, it is in our continual struggle with sin and obedience to God that sanctification does its work. But what is the work of sanctification? What does it practically mean to be "set apart"? Sanctification can be described as an inward spiritual process whereby God brings about holiness and change in the life of a Christian by means of the Holy Spirit. The effects of living in a fallen world have harmed everybody differently. We all face different issues, struggle with sin, and past hurts of varying degrees, hindering our ability to live the life God desires for us. Once we accept Jesus Christ into our lives, the Holy Spirit enters our life to start a transformation process (progressive sanctification). He convicts us on areas that need to be changed, helping us to grow in holiness. We begin to view the world, people, and personal difficulties from a more biblical perspective. Our choices begin to be motivated by love and truth and not selfishness. For instance, we may have misplaced our confidence and security on beauty, wealth, and materialism, but God may ordain difficult circumstances to liberate us from these growth-hindering snares. The transformation process may be painful, but it is always motivated by God's love for us. Further, God promises in His Word to not give us more than we are able to handle (1 Corinthians 10:13). This is the working process of sanctification in the life of every believer. Though the process is personal for each individual, the end goal is to prevent sin and produce spiritual growth. Note that sanctification has nothing to do with living in sinless perfection. We will never be sinless in this life. In fact, the Bible warns against such false teachings in 1 John 1:8: "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." Sanctification is not about trying to be sinless in order to earn the favor of God. Rather, sanctification is for our own benefit. God commands us to pursue sanctification so that through it we may be blessed. |
Romans 11:26 says, "And so all Israel will be saved." What does this mean? Obviously, it doesn't mean every Jew will be saved. In fact, the same chapter says God hopes to "save some of them" (vs. 14). Judas was a Jew, yet we know he will be lost for betraying Christ. Jesus called him, "the son of perdition" (John 17:12). Jesus told many Jews, "If you do not believe I am He [the Messiah], you will die in your sins" (John 8:24). Not every Jew believes in Jesus Christ, thus many will "die in their sins" and be lost. Many Christians today interpret Romans 11:26 as applying to the end of the seven-year tribulation when Jesus appears in the clouds at His Second Coming. In other words, they don't apply the verse to all Jews throughout history, but only to "all Jews" who are alive at the end. Supposedly, at the end of the tribulation, all remaining Jews in Israel will look up, see Christ coming in the clouds, realize He is the true Messiah, believe in Him, and thus "All Israel will be saved."This is a false teaching, as I will attempt to show. 1. First, the context of Romans 11 is not the Second Coming. 2."There is no partiality with God" (Romans 2:5-11). It would be an act of partiality to save "all Jews" at the end, but not "all Jews" in history. The idea is, "When all final Jews see Christ coming in the clouds, then they will believe." But this would give those final Jews a supposedly irresistible opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ which past Jews have not had. Nor would this be fair to "all Gentiles" living at the end. Why would God save all Jews at the end but not all Gentiles? All Gentiles will see Jesus coming just like all Jews. 3.When Christ finally appears in the clouds, IT'S TOO LATE TO BELIEVE IN HIM. Rev. 22:11,12 says that before He comes in the clouds, all decisions have already been made. Jesus said it will be like Noah's day (Mat. 24:37-39). In Noah's day the door of the ark closed before the flood came (Gen. 7:16). When the flood came, it was too late. To save all Jews AT THE SECOND COMING would be like saving all those outside the ark WHEN THE RAIN STARTED FALLING. 4.When Jesus comes in the clouds, this is the time of judgment upon ALL unbelievers who don't know God nor obey the gospel(2 Thess. 1:7-10; Jude 14,15).So what does this mean, "All Israel shall be saved"? First of all, Romans 9:6 says there are two Israels. one is an Israel according to the flesh (Romans 9:3,4) and the other is the Israel of God (Galatians 6:14-16). The Israel of God is composed of both Jews and Gentiles who believe in Jesus Christ (Gal. 3:29). Gentiles who believe are grafted in. They become part of the "same body" with believing Jews (Eph. 3:6). Paul calls this unity of believing Jews and Gentiles, "the mystery of Christ" (Eph. 3:4). The immediate context of Romans 11:26 is vs. 25. When "the fullness of the Gentiles has come in," then "all Israel will be saved." Or, to be exact, "And so all Israel will be saved." In other words, the coming in of the fullness or total number of the Gentiles results in "all Israel" being saved. Paul's idea seems to be that when all Gentiles (totally, throughout history) have come in, that is, have been grafted into the Vine, they, uniting with all Jews who have become believers, will form the total number of the saved. Paul also reveals that when Gentiles come in, God can use this to motivate some Jews to believe (verses 11 & 14). Vs. 25 calls this whole thing, "this mystery," which we have already proven to be the "mystery" of both Jews and Gentiles being united in one body through Christ (Eph. 3:4,6). Vs. 27 says all are saved because Christ takes away their sins through His covenant, which must be the New Covenant, which applies to all believers, Jew and Gentile. Thus the "all Israel" that is saved is the total group of believing Gentiles and Jews combined. The "all Israel that is saved" does not apply to all Jews throughout history, nor can it apply to a select favored group who become instant believers when Jesus Christ comes crashing down through the sky. By that time, it is too late to believe. Source |
The 2012 C.U.F.I. [Christians United For Israel] Summit was held this past week in Washington D.C and it was basically the same old stuff in a different year. In this article I would like to address a statement made by Senator Joseph Lieberman to the gathering of people at this event. Here is an excerpt from a blog post at The Electronic Intifada by Alice Boch [7/18/2012] Here is the quote from Senator Joseph Lieberman: ” . . . As Genesis tells us, “I am your brother, Joseph!” (Audience cheers). “We are children of the same father.” (Audience cheers). Pastor Hagee has enabled us to reunite. Jews and Christians, with our shared love for the Jewish state of Israel. We all know that the Bible is the word of God. And I must repeat that my dear friend Pastor John Hagee has received a call from God to begin the reunification of the Christians and Jews. He received that word in Jerusalem. Need I tell you that that special call, received in Jerusalem, was a local call. . .” Do not expect to hear the soul saving gospel of Jesus Christ preached at these meetings in fact an article in the Washington Jewish Week said the following: ” Hagee has said repeatedly in interviews that proselytizing is unacceptable for CUFI members.” [Washington Jewish Week, By Neil Rubin, 7/18/2012] There is the first red flag for me and every other true born again Bible believing Christian. When a person is truly saved, they will know through the power of the Holy Spirit of truth (John 16:13) that all people must be born again, according to Jesus Christ, in order to enter Heaven. (John 3:1- That includes ALL Jewish people throughout the world, and that includes all of the Jewish people that were present at the most recent C.U.F.I. Washington Summit. Senator Joseph Lieberman told this crowd of over 5000 people at this Summit which included many Christians that he had the same father as they did. That statement set off the second red flag with sirens sounding. I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ and my father is in Heaven above, and I have access to him, through my Saviour Jesus Christ. That same Jesus told us in the scriptures (God’s Word) that he was the only way to come to the father.Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6) Now I know that Senator Joseph Lieberman is NOT a believer in Jesus Christ, so how could he possibly have the SAME heavenly father as the Christian? Did Joe Lieberman come to the same father through Jesus Christ? If he did not (and he did not) then we cannot be serving the same father. Did Jesus Christ truly mean what he said there, or did he leave an option for certain people who rejected him? It is also interesting that Senator Joe Lieberman has co-authored a book on the sabbath along with David Klinghoffer who just happened to author another book entitled “Why The Jews Rejected Jesus” Hello is anybody home? Is there anybody home? Once again I must say that I am amazed at how people have become mesmerized by the modern day dispensational teachers, and have completely disregarded the Lord’s own command to preach the gospel to every creature! Jesus Christ is the “elephant in the room” in the “modern day church” and the one who we are not supposed to talk about. Can you imagine telling Christians who claim to be “filled with the Spirit of God,” that they should hold back from preaching the gospel to the Jews whom the Lord came to save? That is simply incredible and unbelievable to say the least. After the Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead he told us to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to all people! Jesus declared that the believers would be SAVED, and that the unbelievers would be DAMNED! (Mark 16:15-16) The Jewish apostle Paul told us to “Preach the Word” in season, and out of season! (2 Timothy 4:1-4) How dare any so called Christian leader (Pastor John Hagee) tell another Christian not to “proselytize” (preach)! Any person that dies without salvation in Jesus Christ will be sent to Hell!(edited). Do you believe that? That applies to my own family, relatives and friends alike, whether they be Jewish or Gentile! The Jewish apostle Peter preached the word to the Jewish people the same way he preached the Gospel to everybody else! Peter did not have to answer to a Jewish C.U.F.I. (CEO- Chief Executive Officer) leader by the name of David Brog, who is not a believer in Jesus Christ, because Peter answered to the Lord Jesus Christ himself! Listen to Peter’s words to the Jewish leaders of Israel: Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:10-12) Getting back to the claim by Senator Joe Lieberman that we have the same father, here is another quote from my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the creator of all things. (John 1:1-3) The words in the following passage are very appropriate, because Jesus Christ spoke these words to a group of Jewish people who claimed that God was their father, in spite of their rejection of him as Lord and Messiah! I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father. They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham’s children, ye would do the works of Abraham. But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God. Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. (John 8:38-45) So there you have it. The Lord told that group of unbelieving Jews that God was not their father at all. He told them that IF God WERE their father, then they would love HIM! That means that Senator Joe Lieberman and every other Jewish person, must LOVE Jesus Christ (Messiah), because God the father sent Christ to save them! Those are not the words of mere man, but that was spoken straight out of the mouth of Jesus Christ himself! In fact that same sweet, loving, merciful and gentle Jesus held nothing back and he even told the unbelieving Jews that they were of their father the devil! Stop right there for a moment. Those words were not the words of a raving lunatic, but they were uttered by the same one who redeemed me, and every other true Christian, with his precious blood! How could Senator Joe Lieberman make the claim to the crowd at the C.U.F.I. Summit, that he and they (Christians) had the very same father? If Senator Joe Lieberman had the same father as the Christian, that would totally destroy the words which were spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ, and make him a liar! In fact, Senator Joe Lieberman would certainly fit into the category described below, as one who does not BELIEVE the record (testimony) which was given by God concerning his Son Jesus Christ, and make God out to be a liar! Either you have eternal LIFE in the Son Jesus Christ or you don’t! It is as simple as that. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (1 John 5:10-12) At one of the C.U.F.I. (Christians United For Israel) events a few years ago U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman compared Pastor John Hagee to Moses, and the leader of a great multitude. Senator Joseph Lieberman also referred to John Hagee as a true man of God as you can see here in this VIDEO In fact if Senator Joe truly believed Moses, then he would have believed, and received, Jesus Christ, because Moses testified about his coming. Listen to what Jesus Christ told the Jewish people when he walked the earth Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, EVEN MOSES, in WHOM YE TRUST. For had ye believed MOSES, ye would have BELIEVED ME: for HE WROTE OF ME. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? (John 5:45-47) |
Paul knew that his fellow Jews were Jewish by nature (in the flesh/physical), but that they were not his “spiritual” brothers and sisters, (born again of the Spirit) in the Lord. A Jewish person without faith in Jesus Christ, is as lost as a Gentile without faith in Jesus Christ! The bogus and false teachers of today will try to seduce you into believing that the Jewish people are still in covenant with God despite their rejection of Jesus Christ, but that is a spiritual impossibility., A person cannot be in relationship with the true and living God, without coming through the Son Jesus Christ. (John 14:6, Acts 4:10-12) In fact the Bible makes it clear that Jesus Christ is to receive the same honor which the Father receives and nothing less. Here is an actual quote from Jesus Christ himself: For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (John 5:22-24) The majority of Jewish people in Paul’s time rejected Jesus as the Messiah, and Son of God, and that has not changed even until this very day! The Jewish people do not honor Jesus Christ at all. You will rarely ever hear a message preached in any Christian church, radio or television program around the world regarding the lost condition of the Jewish people. Not only that but we are living in a day when the bogus teachers are trying to sell the “false gospel” that God somehow postponed the kingdom of God, along with a Jewish theocracy and that God would deal with the Jews at a later time. That is more spiritual insanity, and it is unfortunate that millions have been ensnared by that false and counterfeit teaching. The apostle Paul knew full well that nothing was postponed, and that his fellow Jews were lost and hell-bound even during his time. He knew that the Jews would never have everlasting life without Jesus Christ, and that is why the following is recorded in the Bible. But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy, and spake against those things which were spoken by Paul, contradicting and blaspheming. Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region. But the Jews stirred up the devout and honourable women, and the chief men of the city, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coasts. (Acts 13:45-50) How could a group of people (the Jewish people) who “contradicted and blasphemed” the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, along with the messenger (Paul), possibly be in covenant and right with God? That whole line of reasoning is completely absurd! The Jewish apostle Paul knew that the Jews rejection of Jesus Christ was a fulfillment of the prophecy from the prophet Isaiah, regarding their own stubbornness. He told them that they had hard hearts, and Paul knew that it was the Holy Spirit (of truth) who spoke through that great prophet Isaiah! Don’t let that happen to you! And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening. And some believed the things which were spoken, and some believed not. And when they agreed not among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias (Isaiah) the prophet unto our fathers, Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. The Jewish apostle Paul (formerly Saul) was probably the most powerful preacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, outside of Jesus Christ himself. Paul was an absolute tyrant, and a major trouble for the Christians of his time. After the Lord Jesus Christ dealt with him from Heaven above, he sent a man named Ananias to minister to him. That man Ananias knew that this man, Saul of Tarsus, was a severe persecutor and murderer of Christians, and he made that known to the Lord. And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here, Lord. And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth, And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting his hand on him, that he might receive his sight. Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. (Acts 9:10-14) Can you imagine that this man Saul of Tarsus (Paul) was so well know for the evil which he committed against Christians, that it made Ananias question the Lord! Let it be known also, that it was the Jewish chief priests who gave Saul (Paul) the authority to go after the Christians and haul them in, because they totally despised the true Gospel of Jesus Christ. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake. And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized. (Acts 9:15-18) The Jewish apostle Paul was saved in dramatic fashion, and he preached to anything and everything that moved, which included Gentiles, Jews, and even certain Kings! Saul (Paul) was filled with the Holy Ghost (Spirit) and that made all the difference in the world. It was at that very point in his life that Paul knew that he had been a religious, but deceived man for the first part of his life. If that man Saul (Paul) had died previous to his conversion on the road to Damascus (Acts 9), he would have died in his sins (John 8:24) and ended up in a very real Hell. (Luke 16:19-31) The Lord told that man named Ananias that Saul (Paul) would suffer much for his (Jesus) name’s sake, and that is exactly what happened. The very people whom Paul used to fellowship, were now totally opposed to him, because he was now a servant of Jesus Christ. Paul was saved, and his fellow Jews were still in the very same deception, from which the Lord Jesus delivered him. So what did the Jews want to do with Paul at that point? They wanted to kill him! And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul (Paul) certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus. And straightway he preached Christ (Messiah) in the synagogues, that he is the Son of God. But all that heard him were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests? But Saul (Paul) increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ (Messiah). And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him: (Acts 9:19-23) Paul went straight into the synagogues to preach that Jesus was the Christ (Messiah), and that he was the Son of God. That was the direct result of being saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. Paul confounded the Jews, and you can rest assured that he used their very own scriptures to prove that Jesus was indeed the long awaited Messiah. That is why they wanted to kill him. Their whole system of beliefs was shattered by the testimony of Paul and they could not handle it. So fast forward to the 21st Century and what do you find? You will find “Christians” who have been seduced by the millions into thinking that the Jewish people are just fine without Jesus Christ. They still insist that the Jewish people are God’s “chosen people” in spite of their rejection of the one whom God the Father sent! That is called spiritual insanity! Paul knew that his fellow Jews were lost, and as hell-bound as he was until Jesus Christ saved him. That is the reason why Paul entered into their own synagogues to preach Jesus Christ to them! The Jewish people knew exactly what Paul was preaching, and they did not believe him, and they sought to kill him. Paul was so grieved that his fellow Jews were lost, unsaved and hell-bound that he desired himself to be accursed! I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed. (Romans 9:1-8 ) |

The only true nation under God is that group of people, which I have been describing, who are followers of Jesus Christ, the one who was sent by the Father to redeem our wicked souls. Jew and Gentile alike are part of this one nation under God which is described below: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9-10) The gospel message has not changed one drop since the time of Jesus Christ, and that message is exactly the same for the Jewish person as it is for the Gentile person. The Bible tells us that there is a spiritual veil that remains upon the mind of a person (Jew or Gentile) which will not be removed UNTIL they turn to the Lord. The verse below is speaking about the Jewish person who reads their Torah but fails to recognize the Lord Jesus as their Messiah: “But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.” (2 Corinthians 3:14-16) This spiritual veil that remains upon the mind of a person can only be removed when that individual, Jewish or Gentile, repents and believes the gospel of Jesus Christ. That is the message that Jesus told His followers to preach around the world, starting at Jerusalem, after He rose from the dead. (Luke 24:47). That message has never changed and it will not be altered for anyone. Paul the Jewish follower of Jesus the Christ (Messiah) said this: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” (Romans 1:16) Do you see that? The gospel is the power of God unto salvation for both Jew and Gentile. It is the same gospel for all! The apostle Paul was arrested and put in chains for preaching the hope of Israel, who is Jesus Christ. (Acts 28:20) The apostle Paul preached the grace of God and he preached the kingdom of God, which is the very same thing. Do not be fooled by those who twist the scriptures and try to tell you that they mean different things. Listen to Paul here: “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.” (Acts 20:24-25) In the space of just two verses Paul declared that he testified the “gospel of the grace of God” and also that he had gone “preaching the kingdom of God”. Paul was preaching his heart out wherever he went, and he was constantly under the threat of death from the Jewish people who refused to believe that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. Who Are God’s Chosen People? Who are God’s chosen people? They are simply those who have put their faith in Jesus Christ, and that includes both Jew and Gentile. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:26-29) Please do not miss what is being said here. Who are the children of God according to this passage of scripture? The answer is those who have faith in Christ (Messiah) Jesus. Does it make a difference whether a person is a Jew or Greek (Gentile)? Male or Female? No. The scriptures tell us that if a person belongs to Christ then they are Abrahams seed, which basically means that they are the true spiritual descendants of Abraham. http://soulrefuge.org/ |
Area_boy: there is no other type of understanding when the bible says two different things about salvation. Not two similar things, Two DIFFERENT thingsA Total waste of time debating people who have hardened their hearts against the truth. "But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. THose who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. - 1 Corinthians 2:14-16 |
When Sinclair Lewis, Nobel Prize winner for Literature, died and was cremated in 1951, his ashes were sent to Rome’s American embassy for disposal. One morning a visitor noticed a worker on her knees with a dustpan and broom. Next to her was an overturned urn. When asked what she was doing, she replied nonchalantly, “Sweeping up Sinclair Lewis.” What a picture of the transient nature of the human experience! This is why the Bible says: “He knows how weak we are; He remembers we are only dust” (Psalm 103:14). Dust is only one of many images the Bible uses to describe the transient nature of the human experience. Human beings are like grass and flowers—living briefly and passing quickly (Job 14:2; Psalm 90:5-6). Moreover, human beings are like fleeting shadows (1 Chronicles 29:15). Sometimes the image of shadows is joined with other images (a dying lake and drying river) to indicate the brevity of life (Job 14:1-2, 11-12). Other images of transience are breath and wind (Job 7:7,9; Psalm 144:4). There are additional images and metaphors that describe the brevity of life: a cloth that wears out (Psalm 102:25-26), a fleeting dream (Psalm 90:5), a swift runner (Job 9:25-26) and a weaver’s shuttle (Job 7:6). Yet another image of the transient nature of the human experience is numbers. Counting the years of human life indicates that it’s measurable; it has a beginning and it has an end (Genesis 6:3; Psalm 90:10). God has given us the gift of time, but because it’s so brief we’re instructed to recognize its brevity, number our days, use our time wisely, seek God while He may be found, awaken people from their sleep and invite them to receive the free gift of salvation, and make the most of opportunities that God brings our way. "Teach us to realize the brevity of life,so that we may grow in wisdom" - Pslam 90:12 "How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone" - James 4:14 |

That includes ALL Jewish people throughout the world, and that includes all of the Jewish people that were present at the most recent C.U.F.I. That same Jesus told us in the scriptures (God’s Word) that he was the only way to come to the father.
