the essence of banking largely rests on customer confidence, a bank having one of its branches sealed over debt will definitely cause panic amongst its depositors and shareholders, especially shareholders.

Why bother with the more cumbersome method of physical take over of branches when the company could have simply obtained an order to instead compel the CBN to deduct the outstanding amount from GTB's account with it - since all banks must have a CBN account to facilitate their inter bank transactions, among others.
