Yeah, the corrupt politician part is well noted. I guess everything is relative because the northern politicians are no better. They generally keep their people in perpetual penury.

Ideally, equity should come first for a nation that is just. But this is Nigeria. We’re fantastically corrupt. It’s no news anymore. My point was there are more tolls in the south because there are more southern corrupt politicians. It is their companies or companies affiliated to them that will be in charge of toll collection. There are also more southern motorists. Southerners are also obliged to pay more because of their better economy.

All reasons stated above are corruption and extortion based

Better southern economy translating into more southern motorists justify more toll gates in the South with shorter distances while the north with longer distances either pay less or don't pay at all?

You can do better than this. Think. Do you know why there are more tolls in the south? Because companies affiliated to southern politicians will manage these tolls. Long and short is there’s more corruption in the south than the north. This is the reality of Nigeria.

Our collective fight should be that we should ask how these companies were selected, on what basis, are they qualified, who owns them??

U are the one looking very stupid. If u don't see anything wrong with a scenario where one is travelling from Lagos to Owerri a distance of less than 600 kilometers and pays tolls four times while Kano-Kaduna express road of nearly half of that distance isn't tolled yet well maintained by the government then u must be very biased.

So in seven years the old Eastern region only got the second Niger Bridge with no railway and with the deplorable state of federal roads all around yet we are expected to sing Buhari's praises, o kwa ya? And we will be ingrates if we say Buhari neglected us even though plans are on to toll.the bridge when the Lagos-Ibadan express road hasn't been tolled? The Kaduna-Abuja road hasn't been tolled. The Kano-Kaduna express road has also not been tolled.
