demiiii:Most of the refusals I see here is either as a result of poor documentation or the inability of the applicant to follow the various standards and criteria set out in the immigration regulations and requirements for Canada study Visa. Madam, the primary reason why the visa officer rejected your application was basically because your mum is the main sponsor to your application. Another reason is that your hubby personal financial establishment is very weak (3M closing balance) with 4 kids staying behind in Nigeria. How would they (spouse and kids) be faring when the entire funds meant for the family upkeep has been mapped out for your studies in Canada?. This totally makes no reasonable sense to the visa officer that you've adequate funds to embark on this project. By operation of law, and in view of your family composition, the visa officer has no objection but to reject such application considering that your spouse is not well established in Nigeria and the incentives of staying back in Canada far outweighs that of your home country. Going forward, my advice in your next attempt is that you should properly build your husband's account statement to the tune of 10M if possible while your mum can co-sponsor your education. I hope this information is helpful in your next application. It will end in praise |
Backcheck:WES evaluation is needed for application for a graduate admission into the University of Regina. However, in this present time, some departments do waive the WES requirement due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19. Therefore, contact the graduate admissions or your proposed department to inquire if they could waive this requirement for you. It will end in praise |
Olayinkaji:Boss, I regret to hear that your visa was delayed by the immigration officers of Canada. If you would listen to me and save yourself the stress of rewriting an LOE about your intent to pursue a diploma program which doesn't hold water. I would advice that you should simply apply for a PGD program that is relevant to your current work experience. In your next attempt, explain to the visa officer how you have strategically address their concerns and as a matter of fact your situation has changed with a PGD admisson on file instead of an ordinary diploma. I hope this information helps. It will end in praise |
gettingbeta:I don't see it reasonable enough to begin studies online when you failed the ELIGIBILITY assessment for a study permit. The documents you've sent thus far via CSE is sufficient to demonstrate your current personal circumstance. I will strongly advice that you should hold unto your plans of starting studies soon until you receive a response that you've passed your ELIGIBILITY (though on a rare occasion would such happen). This is my honest advise for you! Nonetheless, the decision is yours to make. It will end in praise. |
gettingbeta: gettingbeta:ELIGIBILITY - failed, simply implies that your study Visa application has been denied by the responsible immigration officer. You've to wait until the final verdict has been uploaded on your MyCIC account. In the meantime, you may want to share your profile and the list of documents you submitted with your application. It will end in praise |
dejilale:You don't qualify for a Master's program with a 2.2. You've to reapply for your study Visa with a PGD program that is in tandem with your current employment or previous studies to demonstrate academic progression. It will end in praise |
Matildabenn1: Matildabenn1:I sincerely regret to hear your study VISA was delayed. The visa officer has grave concerns about the entirety package of your application spanning from the choice of program, the five (5) years study gaps, the motivation to study in Canada which doesn't seem reasonable as well as your personal and family establishment in Nigeria. In light of the above concerns enumerated on your GCMS note, the onus is on you to convince the visa officer that you're in fact a bonafide student and if given a visa would study and depart from Canada after studies. There is nothing unachievable when it comes to Canadian immigration. I have seen a matured applicant (a Pakistan Citizen to be precise) at the age of 51 in 2017 without any prior post secondary education and was approved of his visa to pursue a diploma program. Hence, getting an approval is also possible in your case once you can present your situation in a very justifiable manner yet professional way that would enable the visa officer see reasons about your clear intent to study and consequently grant you an entry to pursue your intended program in Canada. First, I would advice that you should go for an undergraduate degree program in a University in Canada. The current diploma program on file will dramatically reduce your chances because its giving the visa officer the impression that you're looking for the easier route to emigrate to Canada without intention of coming back to Nigeria. Secondly, your sponsor should be closely related to you and endeavour to pay up your first year tuition fees to substantiate your claims of being a genuine student. Furthermore, your LOE should do justice to your five (5) years study gaps and provide cogent reasons as to why you've not attained a post secondary education in Nigeria since you left High School in 2015. A written assurance that your study gaps in no way will affect your ability to study and graduate at the top of class must be well articulated in your LOE. For your application to scale through and have a better prospect of getting an approval, I would advise that every statements in your LOE should be accompanied with an encyclopedia of evidence (proof of online professional certifications in business, proof of previous and current work experiences to show you have acquired adequate practical experiences in your intended program in the job market etc.) And decide to further your studies in Canada. Your explanation letter should be straight to the point, give clear answers about your situation and assemble a solid case by exposing your motives in a Humanitarian and Compassionate package to be reviewed by the immigration authorities at the Canadian embassy. You shouldn't sound too desperate to study in Canada, do your possible best to explain to the visa officer the lucrativness and reasonableness of undertaking the program in Canada at a huge expense given that there are similar available options in Nigeria. Also attach proof of properties located in your country of residence preferably in your name (or parent's name that you're directly heir to). These assets could be land, house or a registered business etc.. This will further overcome the visa officer concerns on the basis of your personal establishment in Nigeria. Lastly, your short and long term goals should be properly demonstrated in a very realistic way. More importantly, get a professional to review this letter in order to be sure you've adequately addressed every loopholes in the application. I hope this information is helpful to your application. Never give up on your dreams, your victory is not too far from you. Please let me know should you've any other questions. It will end in praise. |
Mildred01:You will pay for third party websites to request for the notes on your behalf. The fee is usually 5CAD if you've someone in Canada, albeit, rather a third party website charges between 12CAD to 15CAD. It will end in praise |
Staymotivated40:I sincerely regret to hear your application was delayed. Please can you share me a detailed breakdown of your profile (previous education, current employment, sponsor, intended program in Canada, refusal grounds and list of documents submitted with your application. The above information will enable me advice you properly and pinpoint some of the loopholes in your application. It will end in praise. |
librangyps:You're making use of third party GCMS website, for this reason, it will take up to 30 days for the notes to be released to them. However, assuming you're using someone presently living in Canada, the processing times doesn't stay long (15 to 17 days max). All fingers crossed, let's wait until you've received your notes, then we can have a clearer insight on the current status of your application. It will end in praise. |
librangyps:The GCMS notes have taken longer than expected. Did you use an individual presently living in Canada to request for the notes on your behalf. Apparently, the processing times for GCMS note doesn't take more than 15 to 17 days. I know applicants who ordered for theirs in late August and have received their notes already. You may send a subtle reminder to the ATIP department of IRCC to expedite the processing of your notes. It will end in praise. |
librangyps:This is NAIROBI's Immigration response to enquiries sent to their office. It appears that they have acknowledged your enquiry and appended the supporting documents you submitted in your last enquiry. Give it a month and reorder your GCMS note to be certain they have worked on your file. It will end in praise. |
Priceless200:Durham College is a good institution and most of her programs are eligible for PGWP. You can proceed with the tuition payment and subsequently prepare for your VISA application. With that being said, be very sure that the program in which you've been admitted is reasonably in light with either of your previous studies or current employment status. Please check on this link to gather the documents for your study permit application - LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR STUDY VISA APPLICATION. It will end in praise. |
Akannitommy:I received your email, I'll be with you shortly. I have been inundated with emails from prospective applicants over the weekend, hence my delayed response. I'm also waiting to hear your success story soon. It will end in praise. |
Canhopeful:I can confirm to have received your PM. I will respond to your concerns shortly. Thank you for your patience Ma. It will end in praise |
Akannitommy:The date on the marriage certificate doesn't have any impact on the credibility or genuineness of your marriage. You need to include other supporting documents like traditional wedding photos, the marriage licence from the church or mosque etc. to substantiate your claims. It will end in praise. |
Bigben44: Bigben44:First and foremost, I would like to congratulate you on your acceptance into a DLI in Canada. Having read through your questions with regards to your application, it's highly advisable that you should use a sponsor that is directly related to you (i.e parents or siblings). Your application success is considerably slim should your employer stands as a sponsor to your application. It is also important to note that the Canadian visa officers don't regard company sponsorship as a strong proof of funds for study permit application. The landed property documents co-owned by yourself and your spouse are your home ties to Nigeria. Please be advised that Land, car, building or gold/diamond can't be used as POF as they are not considered as liquid cash. Also, you're ought to provide a bank statement covering for the period of 4-6 months in order to demonstrate financial stability for your studies in Canada. Given that you're married with kids, you need to explain how your family will be faring while you're away for studies. Is your wife gainfully employed in Nigeria? A proof of her employment details should be submitted along side your application. You can include the pension statements in support of your financial status, however you shouldn't rely on your pension as the primary POF. Please check on this link to gather the documents for your study permit application - LIST OF DOCUMENTS FOR STUDY VISA APPLICATION. I hope this information satisfies your enquiry. Should you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask here. It will end in praise. |
buggi102kruse:I would personally prefer that you should get the Court Marriage at the Ministry of Interio. This is very much acceptable and recognized by Embassies not only Canadian embassy. It would also be very helpful in your spousal open work permit as an evidence that you're legally married to your spouse. It will end in praise |
Chimmy609:You can check Conestoga College at Kitchener for her PGC in Project Management. The admission process takes about 2-4 weeks and the tuition cost 16kCAD. You can apply with the soft copy of your transcripts. It will end in praise |
heidepaper:You're not required to validate the family information form. Kindly fill in your details, save and upload the form. It will end in praise |
Sapte:At this point a decision has been reached on your application, there is no option for a withdrawal. You will have to be patient until the official verdict has been passed on your MyCIC account. Alternatively, you can as well address the concerns of the visa officer if the reasons stated on your GCMS note is not applicable/factual in your case. It will end in praise. |
Happydodo2:I regret to hear your study permit application was delayed. Kindly be informed that Visa refusal based on purpose of visit has a wide scope of subjects. Please request for your GCMS notes as soon as possible so we could have a clearer picture as to the reasons behind your refusal. It will end in praise. |
Bestvibe2020:The email correspondence from Conestoga College stating that admisson has been revoked is a general trend and almost every international students seeking for a deferment received same mail from the school. Please kindly resend the email and inform the admission office that you would like them to reinstate your admission and defer your acceptance till the next available term. Do this as soon as possible. It will end in praise |
Martez1:I regret to hear that your VISA was delayed. I have gone through the entirety of the visa officer's note and I have come to understand that you're making use of a third party sponsorship (cousin) of your studies in Canada. The visa officer has grave concerns that your letter of intent is vague and poorly documented considering the fact that you've been granted an admission to pursue a Business Administration program in International Trading at Evergreen College. The visa officer noted that there is no career progression particularly in light of your educational/career history and the cost of your studies in Canada. The proof of relationship between you and your sponsor was airtight as evident by the statement of the visa officer. He further went on to state that there will be no continued access to funds if your circumstances ever changes. There was no assets or funds on your part the principal applicant to demonstrate that you're well established and in gainful employment in your home country. Given the outlined information, the visa officer is not convinced that you will have adequate funds for your proposed study in Canada without working to pay for your fees and that the program of choice is not reasonable in consonance with your educational and career history. My professional advice for your next application are outlined below; 1. Get someone that is closely related to you to stand your sponsor. The person can be (father, mother or siblings). However, in the case that you can't get any of these people to represent your next application. Your cousin and yourself (principal applicant) should establish strong proof of relationship by including the following documents; 1. Your Father's Birth Certificate (showing that your dad and your cousin's share the surname name) 2. Family pictures (Where your cousin and you (the principal applicant) took in the past) 3. Family tree diagram (provide a diagram illustration showing brief description on how your father is connected to your cousin's father). 4. Bank statements (Showing proof of history or ongoing financial support from your sponsor (cousin) to you in the past or present). 5. WhatsApp messages (showing your chats and discussions about your plans to further your studies in Canada.) Etc. 6. A notarized Letter of sponsorship explaining why a he is spending so much on his cousin and what makes you so desirous of this sponsorship as well as what he stands to gain as a result of this sponsorship. 7. A domicilary account in your name showing transfer/deposit of equivalent $10,000CAD from the church in support of your annual living expenses. 8. Your sponsor should complete the entire tuition fees from his bank account, and highlighting the date on the SOA. This will overcome the concerns of the visa officer in terms of continued access to funds if your circumstances changes. This above shortlisted information/documents is the best and feasible way you can show proof of relationship between your cousin and yourself (the principal applicant) for any immigration application to Canada. 2. I would suggest you change your institution. The Evergreen College in Canada is not a recognized and well known institution for international students. And this plays a very pivotal role in Study Visa applications to Canada. To this end, I would suggest you apply to Colleges or Universities that are mainly mentioned on this thread by prospective applicants and implement the above ideas given by me. Again, please be sure that you're applying for the accurate level of education. For instance, if you finished with a 2.1, you're expected that you apply for a master's program and on the account that you graduated with a 2.2 or third class degree, a post graduate diploma program would be your best best here. 3. Does your parents have any asset in Nigeria? You can get an attorney to prepare a DEED OF GIFT document for you. This legally prepared Gift deed will overcome the Visa officer's reasons for stating in the Gcms note that you don't have any asset in your name. In your next application when explaining the personal assets reason for a refusal, you can state that you didn't include your personal assets documents in your last application because you're being fully sponsored by your cousin and as such you thought the sponsorship covers the need of you declaring your personal assets in Nigeria. However, you've now attached the documents for their review. 4. More importantly, take your time to build your salary bank statement from your employer. Get a registered and functional company in Nigeria, start depositing funds into your account for a period of 4 - 6 months prior to the next application. Make sure you've like 800k to 1M in the account. The money in this account will overcome the visa officer's decision based on no personal financial establishment on your part. Please endeavour you implement these ideas wisely and be smart that no other funds should be coming into this account apart from the monthly payment from your employer (using the company's name as the depositor). I believe with the above information outlined by me with respect to your visa application should be adequately enough to demonstrate that you're indeed a bonafide student with genuine intention to study and depart Canada after studies. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns and I'll be happy to provide my professional assistance. It will end in praises. |
Olayinkaji:You can apply for your GCMS NOTES without the consent of your compensated agent. Simply search through some of the trusted GCMS notes websites on the internet and make use of them. You will be required to fill your application details on a consent form, scan and pay for the service. It will end in praise |
Onweke:I regret to hear your VISA was delayed. Having read through the GCMS note, the visa officer has grave concerns that you've no travel history that could count as a positive factor in their assessment. The bank statement you provided in support of your application has modest income with huge deposits into the account from a third party (no source of huge income). The visa officer also highlighted your poor and limited economic ties to Nigeria which can motivate your departure after studies. Given the above information, the visa officer is not satisfied that you're a bonafide student to Canada and that you will not have the funds to pursue you intended program in Canada and leave after the authorized period of stay. Please put your yourself together as this is but a stepping stone towards your ladder of success. Get your bank statement properly accessed the second time, try to explain every lump sum deposits that came into the account towards the time of your application by providing verifiable evidence and proofs. Your LOE should do justice to your home ties to Canada by explaining to the visa officer that your intention is solely to pursue your intended program in Canada and depart after studies. At the end, get a professional to review your application and vet your letters to be sure you've adequately overcome the concerns raised on your last application. Your success story is right around the corner, NEVER GIVE UP!!. It will end in praise. |
holluville:@Anon123, made a mistake in his advice to the op. He never meant to mislead the applicant. My view is that he thought the OP has done biometrics in the past before the visa refusal. Hence his dissentient response. @Anon123, I would recommend that you should carefully understand a question before giving your advice. Let's end the debate and maintain the primary focus why this thread was originally created. It will end in praise. |
ThowLou:You're absolutely free to go for your biometrics irrespective of the outcome of your application as noted on your GCMS note. The visa officer will update your immigration profile to Canada accordingly. Consequently in your subsequent applications with IRCC, you wouldn't require to submit your biometrics as the previous one will be valid for 10 years. It will end in praise. |
Austacus:Once he can persuasively tackle the concerns raised in the last two pages of his GCMS notes with supporting documents. The visa officer will remove the RI update by passing his ELIGIBILITY and move towards other criteria for study visa processing. This is why GCMS note is the only key that can give you the factual update on your immigration case. I hope it goes well for the op. It will end in praise. |
Anon123:While age is not an independent factor in assessing an applicant's overall intent of studying in Canada. A visa officer must critically examine why a 55 years old applicant wants to undertake a program in Canada other than his home country, Nigeria. The applicant on his own part should explicitly demonstrate/outline a clear career path and benefits of the program upon completion of studies in Canada. The ties back home that would motivate his departure after studies and the financial solvency to embark on such project in Canada. All things considered, the visa officer will have to excerise his discretion based on the information present in the application and give the final remark (approval or rejection). Personally, chances are quite slim with such kind of profile. It will end in praise. |
nayo10:Recommend Interview (RI) and Review Required (RR) simply implies that the visa officer has concerns with your application and thus would need further documentations from you prior to your application been shifted to the next immigration level of processing. You may check the last two pages of the GCMS notes to have a clearer picture about this update on your file. In the case that there are certain concerns noted by the visa officer on your application, its advisable that you should quickly raise a CSE by writing a brief LOE addressing the concerns for the visa officer's comprehension. Once this is done, you will notice a ghost update which means that your application has moved from Recommend Interview (RI) to ELIGIBILITY Passed. Keep the house posted should you've any other concerns. It will end in praise. |
Akannitommy:Well spot on! I'm anxiously waiting for your success story to be shared on this platform soon. It will end in praise. |
