danowena: Most of these sites u see refer to Abokifx; I say this because for years I was looking for quotes that will either Cavour me when buying or when I am selling. I believe they source from abokifx which is why you will never see any differences in the quotes. They are unified in what is quoted which shouldn’t be if they were really getting proper data independently. They can’t all be getting exact same data Unless their data source is exactly same which is very improbable. Even the banks that CBN give rates do not quote same exchange rates. You should also know that most of these sites will typically not have agents in the markets who gives them quite independently. That tells me you haven't followed - sometimes their quotes are quite different! Same thing with Cryptofully, their quotes are different from Aboki. Don't ask me how they get them! |

You still do everything as if unvaccinated because you could be the one in a million that can still get it and transmit it or get seriously sick. |

LIVIYA: Don't be harsh abt it. I'm just asking a question. N BK to what you just said, some people already had mild symptoms. There has always been coronavirus. It's not a new virus, hence the -19 attached to it. Just dat some people twerked d Gene of d virus to make a mutant which has a higher virulence than the normal one hence d mutation to delta-cornona virus. N dats the problem. U r stylishly changing the subject. The question is wether the vaccines can prevent someone getting seriously sick - the numbers clearly show they do |

doncheks: No need for insults. Regarding your question on where TD Bank gets its rates. This phrase from Aboki Fx Official Statement might explain,
"To most of the users of our platforms, we are just a parallel rates board BUT to many institutions ranging from Ivy League Universities, to global business and Research Centres, we are a key source of data, especially historical data"
Yes, anyone is free to create a website and publish exchange rates but not everyone can become an authority on exchange rate data. We are talking about two different things here.
The owner of AbokiFX can decide to go rogue and keep publishing but that does not stop the government from laying charges and initiating a website takedown via ISP's, search engines and domain providers.
If AbokiFX wants to publish naira exchange rates, it must do so in accordance with Section 2 sub-section 16 of the CBN Act. Unfortunately , it is not possible to get black market rates at this time because CBN has suspended all BDC Licensees which were the primary providers of this Data.
It is deemed an offense to publish street rates which is what AbokiFX is doing. It is not an insult to say nonsense is nonsense. A powerful repressive cabal like CCP govt of China are powerless against websites criticizing them, how much more Nigeria. Answer to my question is, there is no way they can enforce section whatever against any website that has nothing to do with Nigeria. Anything else is nonsense. Also AFx said institutions come to them for HISTORICAL DATA not black market rates! |
Business › Re: Abokifx Suspends Exchange Rate Updates After CBN Blocks Accounts by FreeIgboho: 6:09pm On Sep 18, 2021 |
doncheks: I don't know where TD Bank gets its rates from but I know that all other exchange rate information providers depend on AbokiFX. The CBN does not need to pursue all offenders. it only needs the strategic ones to get the desired effect. Nonsense. Answer is, there is no way they can enforce it. All AbokiFx needs do is pull completely out of Nigeria and quietly keep publishing their rates |

doncheks: Even the CBN Act is very vague and does not have a section on reportage which is what AbokiFx claims it does. If there was a clause on reportage, I am sure it would have included a supervisory function to prevent manipulation. And how would they enforce it on someone who has nothing to do with Nigeria (like TD bank whicj also reports Naija black market rates)? |

There is this guy I know he was my junoir in secondary school. This guy was the dumbest in their class plus he was so dirty that many people don't even move with him.. untill I some him recently driving one mad Benz with some guys and girls inside,, wasn't even jealous about him cuz I know his source of wealth is not pure..
The question is how do this guy's make money exactly ? How I'm confused honestly Actually it works to their advantage. The bad grammar weeds out smart people who will not fall for the scam in the long run - so they don't waste time chasing dead ends. ANYBODY WHO RESPONDS DESPITE THE BAD GRAMMAR IS A REAL MUGU AND THEREFORE VERY LIKELY TO PAY. So you see, bad grammar prevents them from wasting time. |

phineas: Nothing nice about it,it is rude and insulting to the country, and her people
How information around an economy is managed is very important. Money is a key element in a countrys soverignty.
They (aboki) made themselves the official voice (another way to see it is official representative) of a bussiness unit that had been deemed illegal in the country ,basically they are giving authenticity to an illegal activity against the directives of the country and that's their response," global bodies rely on us", "temporary stop to said activity"...and "hope the Naira appreciates" .I repeat the firm and their spokesperson are irresponsible, and their press release is offensive...
Hope you get now why it's not funny You people don't think. How about other entities reporting exact same thing? What if AFx decides not to have anything to do with Nigeria and only reports the rates? What accounts will they freez?? |

danowena: From my experience, their rates aren’t always accurate. In fact just yesterday, we got people willing to change at 550 and 555 yet Abokifx was showing 570 on their dashboard. There have been several past instance. It is just indicative to those who are abroad who don’t have direct numbers of mallam. And a lot of people abroad who wants to sell dollars just go there and tell you Oga, dolla na so so so. Check AbokiFX to confirm. To be fair on the guy, he did a lot of work to get street credibility over the years but has somehow started using it to manipulate the rates (my opinion). I used to trust it back then but not this year. Is this below not 570? Is it AbokiFx?

Educationalserv: usless economic terrosit firm .why not publish daily rate for the parallel markets in UK. Where the firm is located why target vulnerable developing nation with huge structural problems .why add to the misery to make dirty profits. Any body that what to know the rates in Nigeria should ask the central bank of Nigeria. Approved by law to determine it . Ignorant comment. First of all the firm is neither located nor registered in the UK. Secondly, various platforms publish rates or have tried publishing rates only that AbokiFx have been most successful because of their accuracy (see below). Thirdly where do you think the crypto rates you read are gotten from? Fourthly Abokifx has been in existence for 7 years most of which time Naira was stable

There is no treatment for covid. It can be managed to varying degrees. That varying degree depends on where you are and how much money you are willing to spend to stay alive. The main aim of govt centers is to keep you away from uninfected people till you either get well or die. Stop talking like you live on the moon. Talk to real people who were discharged from govt isolation centers. Let them tell you what heroic efforts were made to keep them alive!
