clintwine:
It is not necessarily a bad development, its actually a good one and working
It means that Imports are almost halving, now we can look at increasing our exports and boosting our economy with locally made things
It is silly that we were importing toothpicks

we should be looking at 50% reduction in imports and 50% increase in exports
that way we would have a stronger economy and stop depleting the foreign reserves

now that we know the items are being diverted to Cotonou, the government should deploy more custom officers towards that border
and make sure that we get every revenue from legal items coming in from that end
every illegal item should be confiscated and sent to IDP camps and displaced people, then the rest auctioned to families with less than a certain household income

Change means that we have to adjust and make some scarifies for the betterment of our collective tomorrow, nobody said it will be easy
Let us start thinking of what we can export and sell,

Before someone says locally made items are sub-standard,
we said that about Chinese items many years ago, now see how strong they have grown and the quality of items they are producing

Talk to them o

While some people claim APC is synonymous with bad luck, consider these:
(1) Without the Nigerian border, the Republic of Benin is finished economically.
(2) these goods will still enter the Nigerian market via the land border. This translates to more revenue for the Customs service of the Nigerian state.
(3) It would reduce the burden on our major ports

Romance / Re: 21 Things You Miss For Not Having Sex Before Marriage. by Freshboi: 10:30am On Jan 08, 2016
I would like to counter some of the assertions on this thread. If you are a virgin, fine. If not, fine as well. In our modern age, virginity has not and does not give one a fire proof road to salvation. Even if you marry as a virgin, there are still a thousand and one ways to get to hell. Also, it has been proven that there are diseases that can be transmitted through our life style - what we eat and stuff.

For those who claim marrying a a virgin saves you from spiritual yolks, I laugh. What of if your virgin wife has a history of spiritual attacks? Once you pop the cherry, you become a shareholder in the attacks.

Virginity does not keep a marriage. It might spice it up. Character does.

So we were at the parlor discussing and my uncle's wife dropped the food b4 him without bending her knees-yeah u understand how ladies do it nah. i first tot it was an oversight but its over a week naw ive been at their place and i dont c her do that. I believe is wrong as thats a sign of honor to the husband. Ladies of the 21st century, bash me if u like but its wrong to serve a man food without giving him that honor especially if he's older or simply ur husband. sad

And some retards would blame the Buhari's government. VISAFONE did not aggressively fight to keep its market share in the Data market.. neither did they rebrand to the present realities of the Nigerian telcos market

DeanOlamide:

Go and work and help your man.... financing a wedding isn't the sole responsibility of the man..... a woman can help too and it's even common these days, ladies help and not the man wahala only....

Who takes the pride of been wedded after everything? The woman I guess...

Personally I expect a woman to help too and with which money you asked?

Real men don't marry jobless women again... we definitely go for those who can also support the family and not those who will seat in the house waiting for him to go hustle and build it alone.....

Personally, I am working and u expect me to fall in love with one beautiful woman without at least she bringing in something also into the house? hell no, I rather remain like that flexing my hard earned money.......

Listen woman, ur man is strong with your help, job or no job..... get money then u will get a man with money......

Been beautiful doesn't guarantee you a good home trust me.....

My thought though

Bros, you get sense.

Family / My Advice To Bachelors by Freshboi: 11:29pm On Dec 25, 2015
As a bachelor, I would like to advice other bachelors in the building.
Never run or plead for a woman's love. The dating game has changed. We are now the 'prime cut'. Come to think of it, marriages are crumbling faster than they are contracted.
Never use money in an attempt to 'woo' a woman . If she is forming for you at 25,tell her her 'prince charming' will locate her when she is 50.
Run away from desperate women. These ones can use false prophecies and even go 'native' all for husband.

Family / A Question For The Igbos. by Freshboi: 1:08pm On Dec 25, 2015
Merry Christmas to you all. I would like to ask the South Easterners in the house a question. In your culture, is it a must for the relatives of the bride to live with the couple? In all marriages contracted with some one with an Igbo person I have seen, a relative of the bride (young or old) always stays with them. Why?

Apology ke?
His apology is a smokescreen and should resign honourably for having failed in his duty as petroleum minister so that his apologies can be taken seriously.

If your Hero GEJ had handled the petroleum ministry well, would we have had this issue with fuel?
If he had fixed the refineries, would we be here? He had 5 years to do it as president, did he?

Politics / Re: Argentina's Economy Just Got A 7-day Makeover by Freshboi: 11:52pm On Dec 21, 2015
Lord
Before you open your mouth to spew rubbish about this APC government, think of these
(1) The reforms in Argentina are pro western. Obviously, as you are aware, the new president had to obtain a $5 billion dollars loan... something the government is considering
(2) As stated in the article, the peso was allowed to operate in a free market manner.. something the Naira is doing .
(3) From the CNN article, Argentina has Two major exports - soy and oil. For the last 16 years, 80% of our income has been oil. Read in between the lines. Their economy is already diversified. Our economy is about to be too.
(4) Apart from the $10 billion loan, our budget is going to be financed by taxes. It is on record that over 425000 companies evaded tax payment. Imagine if these companies pay $10000 each as tax.
(5) The government is focusing on Agriculture... voting over N500 billion for the meal programme. This will stimulate Agriculture to the highest heaven.
I await your response
