Insanity is therefore enormously beneficial to the economy, and must be actively encouraged whenever possible.
GreatEros, I have irrefutable proof that the CIA, FBI and IRS jointly manipulated global weather MODALITIES to create the hurricane that is currently ravaging NewYork, in order to confine people to their homes while listening devices are hurriedly installed in all traffic lights and public restrooms.
I suggest that you get out there and execute citizen's arrests on any individuals you observe tampering with power or toilet infrastructure on the US Eastern seaboard. Report back here with your findings. President Goodluck Jonathan has signed two bills - the Terrorism (Prevention) and the Money Laundering (Prohibition) bills 2011 - into law.
A statement by Justin Abuah, the deputy director of Information in the Office of the Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), said the bills were signed on Friday.
The statement said the two bills were "passed by the 6th National Assembly and conveyed to the president for his assent on June 2 while he signed them on June 3".
"The new Terrorism (Prevention) Act, 2011 prescribes measures for the prevention, prohibition and combating of acts of terrorism and the financing of terrorism in Nigeria," Mr Abuah said. "It also provides for the effective implementation of the Convention on the Prevention and Combating of Terrorism as well as the Convention on the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism, and prescribes penalties for the violation of its provisions. The Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act, 2011 repeals the Money Laundering Act, 2004 and makes comprehensive provisions to prohibit the financing of terrorism, and the laundering of the proceeds of crime or illegal acts."
The bills also expand the scope of supervisory and regulatory authorities to address the challenges faced in the implementation of the anti-money laundering regime in Nigeria.
http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/News/5711334-147/story.csp He would quickly sign a law that stipulates a N5 million fine for an offender even if the person laundered 500 million dollars You think the President deserves a standing ovation for this? *SMH* A week later, he sends a bill to the National assembly proposing a permit for public officers to run and maintain foreign bank accounts. |

Q - What is your take on the recent single tenure of office proposal for the president and governors by President Goodluck Jonathan? A - Let me asseverate that President Jonathan is seised of all the privileges to bounce his political thoughts within the field of play and we have a bounden duty to interrogate his presidential vision without recourse to vituperative and ad hominem exegesis.
Having made the above point, let me posit prestissimo that the single tenure proposal for executive suzerains and major domos as an Aladdin lamp out of our vaudeville of political phantasmagoria, economic quagmire and social miasma amongst others, presumptuously takes for granted that it is not the same prebendal, narcissistic and namby-pamby Nigerian political class that would operationalise same.
Yes, it has been argued that it has the potency for blunting the edges of acidic acrimony and political gbogbonshe. Yes, the point has been made that it can engender a focused executive biceps; yes, we are being told that it would entrench the principles of rotation and what have you. But I submit with all sense of responsibility that this new fangled single tenure prescription is, at best, a Frankenstein monster and an execrable political hobgoblin that must be put back in the bottle.
Summary ; President Jonathan has the right to raise his Political Opinions which could be constructively criticized by any, But the single tenure Issue is a Monster that should not allowed to surface at this time.Pat Obiahagbon is a madman, though i love his kind of madness. |
