Now my own question: bond is supposed to be old in skyfall right? Why does he become young all of a sudden after the lady shaves his beard? Now he can shoot he can run and he can do the pull ups with no stress and can even screw a prostitute half his age?

The same roger ebert that hated taken 1 and gave hurt locker a high rating? My! I neva knew he was legendary.

Hehehe this is the end is entering my list of best adult comedies along with 40 year old virgin , the dictator and pineapple express. Altho it kinda fell flat when they went to heaven tho it felt rushed and silly luckily that is at the end of the movie so I can gladly close the window when that part is on. All in all, a good movie well deserving of its 83% rating.

Abi o, there were some classic bond stories like casino royale, goldeneye,from russia with love or even the spy who loved me. Didn't win an oscar or golden globe. But at least we can cling to the excuse that academy awards are biased towards pinewood movies especially bond movies even live and let die as hot as the soundtrack was didn't win jack , but what is skyfalls excuse? This was a bond movie with hollywood written all over it, afterall sony took over production MGM is just a figure head now, skyfall was like an american movie about james bond and britain shot in american style, american theme and so on, so where are the accolades and the crappy scientology awards or diced pineapples or whatever doesn't count.

Punch bond he no longer bleeds,after hearing that the list has been exposed on youtube the next thing he did was to try to straff moneypenny,people die in his presence and he makes stewpid cracks about it

A talented Q? Q just made a full of himself from beginning to end cos silva had to be supreme so Q had to be a foool and a foool he was and ben whishaws performance was terrible and what was even more puzzling was the fact that the Q here wasn't in fact any random Q but the same Q character from thunderball which confuses the timeline and totally destroy the foundation CR and QOS built

Story that didn't center on bond? The name of the movie was skyfall of course the movie was about bond M only took center stage temporarily. Was after the court hearing before then it was pretty much about bond

Creativity is one word that is totally missing from skyfall. The script is like a rejected batman script + a recycled bond story
Q is supposed to be lucious fox(morgan freeman) from batman
Moneypenny plays robin who is initially on the field but in a rushed scene decided field duty is not for everyon and introduced herself rather like how robin did at the end of TDKR
Bond is like bruce wayne his house boy is alfred its so creepy bond even did that thing where batman stands at the top of a high building with his cape billowing to the wind
Don't deceive yourself there's nothing interllectual to gain from skyfall please don't deceive your self

-poor script decorated with plot holes

-lousy dialogue which even creates more plot holes
- random violence and unncessary scenes which just made the movie longer

It is just a movie , a movie that was the result of a talented production team who sat down and worked hard building this movie to international status and it reflects this no hardwork goes un-rewarded .

Numerous Plot holes, contrivances, poor storytelling, character logic&motivation;
1. The stolen agent list macguffin; Made famous in M:I then overused in films&TV shows; CharliesAngels2 etc - halfway through the film they just forgot about it
2. Hacking magic! Hacking can be done well; goldeneye,swordfish,diehard4...Not just an easy contrived plot device. Can we have a proper explanation &the rules&limitations of Silva's hacking ability in this fiction? For all I know Silva can make satellites fall on people.
3. The irony of the 'can Bond operate in an internet world' theme...he failed twice and got M killed...so he can't?
4. How out of place the above theme is; Bond is mature but always current. His a walking encyclopedia (watch the start of any Connery/Moore film). In the last 2 films he was using advanced mobile phone tracking systems...adding hacking does not suddenly make Bond take on the 'modern' age. Are economics or funding civilwars outdated?
There was hacking&computers in 1995's Goldeneye..all of a sudden, NOW, there are no more shadows? Did MI6 stop evolving in the late eighties?
5.They have a meeting to discuss MI6? This was relevant in Batman, a vigilante was trying to inspire people- It was intertwined in the narrative&theme. Skyfall enquiry was just Sam Mendes ripping off Batman
6. Silva's planned capture; Another overused device that was coincidently in Batman. So what did Silva achieve? A conversation with M? When this is revealed shouldn't we look back and have everything make sense? But, NO, I was left wondering why they tried to kill Bond twice in China.
7. Why was a hacker in a cell controlled by a computer? Why is Q so stupid he plugged in the laptop to the building? Why was the trap door on the inside of the first glass door? why was there a trap door? How did Silva evade an armed MI6 guard 20 meters from his cell?
8. Super calculating (hack crazy)Silva's plan at the end was a firefight? With a backup plan of another firefight?
9. So they figured out Silva was dressed as a cop and no-one told anyone? The irony of M defending herself (reading a poem) knowing her own ex agent was about to shoot up the place was lost on critics&writers alike.
10. Could Bond not take a Sim free phone or'radio' &call backup when Silva arrived at the end? Instead they had their Home Alone moment- even Macaulay Culkin eventually called the police
11. Silva is supposed to mirror Bond. But compare Bond's 'betrayal' to Silva being handed over for torture... Some forced connection is made considering they never met before. Silva tells a story of 2rats so we know what we are supposed to think.
12. Bond's betrayal is M ordering Naomi to take a risky shot. Bond later tell's M he heard the order... why didn't he get out the way then? he just kept fighting like an idiot. &did Naomi only have 1 bullet?
13.You can't make Bond survive 2 gun shots and a fall like that. His already an established character. The Punisher&Bourne are special BECAUSE they survive. It can't happen to them again mid film/ mid franchise..
14. Bond follows an assassin&lets him kill innocent people! How is this in his character?! The previous 2 films already rebooted Bond to show WHY he doesn't let innocents die.
15. Naomi is a forced character..appearing randomly to remind us she still exists so we can think it's 'clever' when she becomes Moneypenny. Money penny gets demoted from field agent to secretary?!! not even analyst. If she is that hopeless why is she on the most important mission ever? I think Sam Mendes hates women.
16. Bond doesn't even blink when the girl he just bedded a few hours ago gets shot in cold blood. He identifies Severine as being sex trafficked&abused- He then just jumps in her shower. I had little problem with Bond tricking a woman into bed in live and let die- but the sky-fall scene should land him in the S-offenders list.
17.They traced the shrapnel in Bond's chest to a 'special'bullet that only 3 people use? His a 'ghost'...but we have his full flight manifesto. This is how they advanced the plot? wait a minute....didn't that bad guy shoot up half of turkey..? A contrivance& a plot hole in one plot device, that takes some doing.
18. One minute he can't shoot...10 seconds later he shoots everyone in a 360 arc? so what happened? oh we are just abandoning that theme mid- se..
19. Quite a few instances of Bond just standing in front of a landscape shot with his legs apart 'being deep'. I thought he was urinating at first.
20. Q is both a quartermaster&a programmer for the sake of the illogical theme.. but these are completely different skill sets...?
21. Knowing all this...what is the list doing in Turkey? on a laptop hardrive? why are only 2-3 agents on the case? They couldn't even do the liberty of making something up for the audience. Imagine Thunderball didn't show how SPECTRE got the nukes...
Why couldn't Silva just hack the list? Oh because it isn't connected to the internet you say...but the MI6 heating system is?
The script makes no sense, the themes are inappropriate, Bond's character&decision making has been altered &they have confused mature with dinosaur. Die another Day was almost a Bond parody, but this one is simply a mess,&a betrayal of Bond.
Shame on critics too impatient to appreciate QoS for not spoon feeding them everything & praising sky-fall because of poorly scattered themes& metaphors on a plot that makes no sense, just because it makes them feel clever"

Was skyfall an action movie? Casino royale had 8 jaw dropping action scenes, QOS had about 10 pulse pounding action scenes but skyfall here had 5 lousy action scenes. It was like the theme of the movie was hey everyone get caught deliberately by your enemy to fufill stoopid objectives,patrice first did that crap in shanghai when he first felt bond's pull under the elevator and he heard bonds footsteps when he was at his sniping position but anyways still did his job with the hope that he cud perhaps surprise bond and kill him,then there was bond getting caught on purpose so he cud capture silva, silva in turn wanted to be captured so he cud break out of prison and smile at M instead of shooting her,then M deliberately allows silva to storm the building in order not to "show her back" to the foreign minister then bond and M want silva to track them deliberately so they can surprise. And kill silva (wonder how that worked out for them)
Then the 5 lousy action scenes that was in the movie. Had 3 things in common they were fake, they started and ended stoopidly and they were all stolen from one movie or the other. You don't believe me read on

An NOC list stored on a hard drive is stolen from 3 MI6 agents by one man(civilian) in istanbul, turkey are you serious?how dumb do they think we are? What is bond even doing in turkey? Then money penny and bond are so relaxed and are even making jokes about sexist driving when they just learnt that such a sensitive information then how does that action scene end? Moneypenny instead of working on tracking the train hops out of her car and after a stoopid order from M shoots bond and sends him falling like 100 ft off a bridge (why do that when he would still return and no one can explain how) of course MI6 doesn't even bother searching for bond

Bond finding a dying frnd and chasing after the assailant was copied from roger moore's a view to a kill when bond chases grace jones after she kills one of bond's informant, then followed by a motorcycle rooftop chase gotten from pierce brosnan's tomorrow never dies china motorcycle chase scene, then atop of a train fight copied from roger moore's octopussy when bond struggled with kamal's henchman. Atop. A train. Of course unlike skyfall, in octopussy the train driver wasn't a retarrd and actually stopped the train when they noticed troubles on the train, then the shot and water logging is similar to bourne getting shot and waterlogged in bourne identity altho bourne didn't fall 100 ft and we saw how he survived the ordeal
The fake stunts:
Bond riding a bike on a rooftop without a problem, he the back of a train and hops in with no trouble , he fights a guy on a train they are falling backwards and forward but no one is falling over Then there's the part where moneypenny shoots at patrcie within pointblank range but patrice somehow escapes HABA! Won't it have been better if she never caught up with him
ACTION SCENE 2: shanghai tower fight
Stoopid start and end
Patrice shows up in shanghai and pass thru customs with a snipers rifle and a surpressed bareta., bond. Now didn't subdue patrice perhaps like on the streets when he wasn't armed he didn't fire at patrice when he was killing security guards, he allows patrice murder the man across the building before spring into action and how come patrice just storms the building and shoots everyone in it wasn't he scared that someone else was in the building and what makes it even more stoopid is that patrice just walks straight without looking back , while they were fighting if you noticed patriced shattered the window and bond is holding unto patrices rifle but patrice pulled bond back instead of releasing his grip on the rifle or even shoving bond out of the window and how does this end? Bond thot the best interrogation technique was to flip patrice over a window and question him while in the air(wanna guess how that ended?)

Bond hanging under an elevator for what looked like 100 floors up, the stunt actors from their silhouette fight were totally visible

Bond had a gun in his possession he was told ahead of time that hey these three men want to kill you but how does bond handle it? By trying to beat three guards with a briefcase which made him suffer a summer slam, a grand fall and almost died twice from a gun and a komodo dragon(what a bad choice of actions bond) how does this end I swear to God I'm not kidding a komodo dragon ate some fat dude pointing a gun at bond A KOMODO DRAGON at this age and time they are still playing jurassic park in a bond movie wow and when that happens a komodo dragon bond was initially scared of was used as a springboard by bond and faced a gun from another henchman however moneypenny shows up and knocks the henchman out where was moneypenny all that while was she waiting for bond to face the gun before acting? Then bond.after falling into a pit getting summer slammed just hops out of the pit clean suit and not feeling any pain smiles at moneypenny and walks out what no other hench men to stop him(lousy).

Won't really call this an action scene becos it lasted for like 10 seconds but anyway,Bond instead of taking out the guards on the boat early or at least signal MI6 on time, instead he bangs severine, takes a shower and takes a nap on an enemy boat and there were like 4 henchmen on that boat are they trying to say they didn't spot bond getting on the boat or didn't wonder who severine was having sex with infact I don't even get the whole silva's island thingy why did severine put herself in such risk knowingly, why was she chatting with bond so casually when she knew she was on her way to her death why did silva want to play that silly game with bond? did he expect bond to shoot her? What if bond shot silva instead did he think about that? When bond fired at severine did he REALLY think he cud shoot a little glass of whisky off her head? (What an iidiot I don't even think you can do that with a snipers rifle). How does this end? Bond patiently waits as silva took his time to shoot severine in the head then he makes a stoopid crack about whiskey(WTF? You are more concerned about a glass of whiskey than the wasted life of a lady that you promised to save) then springs into action living everyone dead except silva just in time for a KIA helicopter to hover over silva and take him to london of course this wasn't without bond making more stoopid jokes about a stoopid radio transmitter Q had given him does that make bond cold? Nope it just makes him look like an iidiot

Bond swings an empty gun at a guy who had a gun to bonds head but does he fire at bond? Nope he fires some other dude behind him who "dies instantly" then bond throws his empty gun at another henchman what now happened to the fourth guy and the other guy bond was handling? Perhaps they are just waiting for bond to get to them, bond then shoots the guy he is handling how he got the gun out of his hand who knows "he is james bond"then. The. Fourth guy springs into action and shoots at bond but bond is so smart that he uses some guy as a body shield then bond who had problem with his shooting as established in the beginning shoots some guy at a far distance dead(wow that was fake)

Bond captured silva on his island a terrorist and a murderer there was no need bringing him back to london bond should have perhaps tortured him and get the answer he needed before finishing him off hell the KIA cud even help him out with it, time was of the essence. Then Q is dumb enough to plug silva's virulent laptop to their mainframe and isn't that a ww2 bunker? Why is there such an advanced holding cell instead of a bar and padlock and why isn't silva in chains then silva happens to have planned everything(laughable) so he knew they would relocate to the bunker that he would be kept in a glass cell, that Q would hook his laptop, that M would have a hearing on that very day that bond would locate him on time after joker, loki and bane this is this ranks as number 1 on the dumbest get yourself captured and escape plan I've seen. Then bond is chasing silva on his own where are the other MI6 agents WTF? Then silva has london policemen working for him?(This just gets more stoopid as we go)then they didn't evacuate the court house and silva shoots his way into a court house thru the front door (RIGHT! Like that can happen) how does this end with a fire extinguisher that's right bond shows up after surviving a train crash.(Of course still in tip top shape) winks at mallory(#Nohomo) and fires at two fire extinguishers and just like that silva is flushed an 11 year plan is gone down the drain just like that.

Bond stands beside a passing train and doesn't get sucked or blown away,bond slides down an escalator so smoothly without getting stuck or falling off, bond chases and catches a train so smoothly not bad for a bond who is supposed to be losing form,how big was that court room at most 500 by1500 so what makes silva so invincible that no one can kill silva. And if you watch closely is so obvious the actors aren't in the same room cause it looks like moneypenny is shooting up when silva is beside her then mallory is shooting forward when silva is behind him and what happened to the security guards on duty don't tell me silva killed them all.

Bond's plan is to drag silva to the middle of no where in order to defeat him. Ya right like the court house shootout didn't teach bond a lesson that silva has lots of guns and lots of men, bond arranges for no back up no weapons and uses M as bait?was that necessary how did silva even find them? How does this scene end? It ends with bond killing about 1million henchmen, crashing a helicopter and still on time to say a convenient goodbye to M who should have died like an hour ago

Bond's aston martin has machine gun behind the head lights,bond dodges bullets coming from a helicopter canon gun, bond causes a nuclear explosion with just two gas cylinders and a few stix of dynamite, bond then jumps into a hole and fire doesn't reach him there, then bond snaps a guys neck in mid air and fights kungfu under ice water and throws a knife into a guys heart from behind(wow! Why don't u just turn bond into a mutant or alien cos he sure isn't human anymore)

Let's see I have been watching james bond films since I was 7years old and I started with jimmy barry's casino royale(1967) yes I'm familiar with shirley bassey's past ballards but GUESS WHAT? Adele's skyfall still sounds gayish. Compared. To chris cornel's casino royale(2006) theme "you know my name"besides live and let die wasn't a ballard it was a rock theme

@lanreajirobaju yeah, I noticed M's death scene was too cliche, the good guy battles like a billion bad guys so clinically he doesn't even have a scratch on him then he holds unto his dying friend and cry I've seen that a million times especially with steven seagal, it wasn't a bad idea. To kill off M but how they did it was just fuuucked if M died earlier in the movie or something shocking happened like bond killing M or allowing silva kill M or having to let go of M in order to save the world or something. Even if silva killed M as he intended would have made more sense,c'mon when bond deliberately created a vulnerable situation for M only an iidiot would have been surprised by M's death

Daniel craig is the best actor to play james bond he is even better than sean connery and Quantum of solace was the movie that showcased his supremacy, he was really intelligent in that movie, he fought good and his stunts were insane Quantum of solace is a really good movie.

2.Do you know it actually boosted skyfall's sales, about 71% of bond fans expected bond to go after quantum in skyfall which means if there was no QOS skyfall would not have made so much money
3.Do you know that the people see QOS as the most realistic and deepest james bond movie ever, even the people who don't like it just go "it was too real and too dark" sounds like positive criticism to me
4.Do you know QOS is actually the first bond film to be based on a true story
5 QOS is also the first movie to be written on set

To me skyfall was too childish, the story was like something from the terminator the characters were totally stolen from comic books kincade was alfred batman,bond was bruce wayne and silva was the joker lol the plot of a terrorist that moves everything with a computer was totally kids co's cyberchase ripoff action scene nko? Bond was doing a rooftop chase with a motorcycle,then later he was hanging off an elevator, then he was fighting off some guys at a casino with a suitcase and a gila lizard then he took out 5 armed men simultaneously even tho he was unarmed then he was sliding down an escalator followed by the homealone stunt he pulled at the end I mean who was on the board for this movie? Wow!

:/ poor guy too bad its cancerous and probably terminal it would have really been a great comeback story.
