Here are the the components I check and serviced and the Plugs were replaced to be ahead of the situation;

The Fuel Pump Assembly
The Noozle
The Coil on Plug
The Plugs
The Air Filter

From my observations I discovered at idle the car doesn’t rev more that 3000 RPM. Which canbe a symptoms of a couple of things, but since we are dealing with hesitation my focus was more other fuel assembly which was too diety and the tank too was dirty. I decided to replace the fuel filters and the plugs and went ahead to service the noozle.

After putting all the components back the car was back to normal, the driving was smooth

Dear Gazzuzz, My Camry 2001, when the engine is cold and I drive around and come to a stop the idle is fine. When the engine finally warms up and I'm driving and start pressing on the brake and slowing down, the rpm slowly drop to about 300 which causes the whole car to shake and feels like its about to stall out. When I lift my foot off the brake the rpm needle goes up to 900. The part that is making me mad is stepping on the brakes and the whole car shaking like crazy. Most time I had to alternate between Neutral and Drive. Please help.

Mine was a Peugeot 407. I changed EVERYTHING in the car, except the parking space. Guess what, it was just a BSI issue o and the new owner is still cruising it 4years on. Truth is, a severely abused car in the hands of a techie, can be the best buy.

The solution you need may be a very expensive one.


The engine currently in your car is not the one that was installed from factory ( no wonder the car was sold by the previous owner)

To enjoy that car, you need to remove that engine and install 1MZ-FE with VVT( variable valve timing)

This is assuming that all other factors remain equal.

You need a very experienced mechanic to guide you in this quest, as your engine wiring is most likely messed up.

It may be very expensive, but in the long run it will be worth it (if you still want to keep the car)

Till then, you will have to suffer the consequence of not performing Prepaid inspection.
