Affiliated: Before life on earth started there should have been life elsewhere for many billions of years. There's life all over the universe. There would be those that are more advanced than us
True. Universe is a vast place with many possibilities.
Just of recent, NASA put forward a theory that life might have existed on Mars long before life started to evolve on earth.
According to the test conducted on martian soil samples, water used to exist on Mars. And we all know where there is H20, life is inevitable.
Right now Mars is basically a dead planet with no oxygen, but maybe it wasn't always so.
It's ridiculous how wearing natural hair
for a black woman is considered inappropriate for work. How can being natural be so inappropriate? The
problem is stemmed from the lack of understanding of our hair and unfortunately we add to this by
continually rejecting our natural hair to
adopt Eurocentric ideals. Black women
need to put down the creamy crack and
get back to be proud of being black.
There’s nothing wrong with our hair, it is

tny60: see your life. you have exposed yourself as the one with inferiority complex here.
How so?

tny60: if it annoys you so much, why not go and give the girls money to do their weaves properly? why are you so concerned with their hair? are they your girlfriends?
You are the one that brought up the issue in the first place, remember?

tny60: african women wear wigs because they want
to attract men. and 90% of african men mostly
prefer long, silky hair which african women
don't have naturally.
All I did was to concur.

Adaeze003: So now we are also insecure? Wtf? Like seriously, what are you going on and on about? Its not bad to look trendy but girls use weaves coz they're insecure? huh how is it possible that you have never thought of it as part of the trends and fashion? Why are you being myopic over a trivial issue?
You also said that girls in your family use weaves, does it also mean that they(and 90% of girls in nigeria) are all insecure?
What about white gurls that use extensions? Is it also due to inferiority complex? huh
"Opinions are like arse holes, every one has one"
Hey, chillout, will ya?
Getting pretty worked up on my account will only raise your blood pressure.
This is a debate, not a duel, right?
Anyways, back to the topic. You said that white girls use extensions.
Very true. But they only do so in special circumstances, not like in everyday life like our ladies. But even if it's essential because of our natural short hairs, then they should do it properly so as to make it look natural and less obvious.
tny60 does make a strong point in a comment below, and I'm inclined to agree with some of what she said.

tny60: african women wear wigs because they want
to attract men. and 90% of african men mostly
prefer long, silky hair which african women
don't have naturally. maybe you are in the 1% that prefer plaits and natural hair. but most men don't. they always pick the weave-on lady over the natural lady.
ps: if a woman has enough money to get it
done correctly, it will look good. but if you do it cheaply, it looks bad. just the same way natural hair or plaits can look bad if
you don't take care of it.
so to answer your question, we wear wigs for
you your choices in women have told us
that is what you prefer. and tha is why we do
it. so men, it is up to you to give you wife or
girlfriend enough MONEY for her hair so she
can look good with her weave.

Like I said before, there is nothing wrong with looking trendy so far as you do it an original manner.
@payless just proved some of my points with picture one.
The woman in the picture looks like a caricature.

Picture 5 would have proven my point on looking trendy in an original way but for that cheap tatoo on her beefy arm.

Picture 3 looks good and stylish, but she dare not walk out in the street looking like that. Our people would not understand and might paint her as an eccentric.

Picture 2 and 4 is nothing but wardrobe malfunctions. Geez, they look like corner street hookers for crying out loud!

Adaeze003: I'm a proud Nigerian so I'm gonna answer your question with a question.
What about the mohawk hair style I now see on you guys' head?
What about all the fashion trends that started from the west?
Is inferiority complex also the cause?
Call it fake or anything just don't use the inferiority complex line..
Even if some guys style their hair in Mohawk fashion, it's still all their hairs, no attachment.
And last time I checked Mohawk originated from native Amerindian culture. It has nothing to do with the West whatsoever.
As for fashion trends, their is nothing wrong with looking good and trendy, so far as you do it in an original manner. Our men tend to be more original than the ladies in that department.
Atleast you don't see us attaching fake hairs to our hairs to look good.
Fact is, the ladies will look much better without them if only they will have the patience to cultivate and groom their own hairs.
Every year Africa imported wigs more than all the other continents put together.
Why so dependent on fake hairs? Mostly because they feel unreasonably insecure with their own.
So it all boils down to inferiority complex, Sis.

Christianity Etc › Re: Top Ten Bible Verses You Will Never Hear In Church. by Frostyzone(op): 7:09pm On Dec 27, 2012
Goshen360: @ Logicboy and Frostyzone,

There is what is called "chronological" arrangement - based on how books were written. The context of Matthew to John wasn't NT, but OT. Christ is the MEDIATOR of the NT and without the death of a testator, a testament is NOT in force. Under the chronological writings, Matthew to John was written AFTER the death but the context is DURING the earthly life of the testator. Do people write you biography when you are alive or does your will take effect when you are still alive?
O boy, you dey twist bible no bi small oo abeg.
So to your reasoning the book of Mathew to John doesn't have anything to do with Christ teachings, instead they were his life story...? Okay oo.
Since book of Mathew to John were Christ biography to mankind, why then do most Christian insist that the most beloved disciples of Jesus fall under that bracket?
So isn't it more logical that most of Christ teachings and doctrines should fall under that bracket as well.
From the time of yore, our women have always been in awe of white women. Dressing like them, speaking like them, eating like them, even making love like them. So is it of any wonder that they would wear artificial hair so that their hair will be like them(white women) to level the playing field in that department as well.
Lol!
Christianity Etc › Re: Top Ten Bible Verses You Will Never Hear In Church. by Frostyzone(op): 6:40pm On Dec 27, 2012
Goshen360: New International Version (©1984)

For this reason Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance--now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first covenant. In the case of a will, it is necessary to prove the death of the one who made it, because a will is in force only when somebody has died; it never takes effect while the one who made it is living. This is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood. When Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves, together with water, scarlet wool and branches of hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people. He said, "This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep."

Hebrews 9:15-20

See how you bear this one first.... cool
And how does this justifies your earlier statement:

Goshen360: Matthew to John is not NT by covenant, it
was only NT by arrangement for purpose
of simplicity. NT start in Acts. You want
prove?
Y do u care huh
!
Why do I care?
Okay, lets see. Women in my family doesn't go out anymore without some kind of artificial hair attached to their head.
Gone are the days when they would flaunt their natural hair and compare with each other on which one has the longer hair.
Nowadays, it's more like who has the better wig or weave-on.
So I do care very much indeed my dear.

Why do our women particulary here in Africa
depend on wigs and weave-ons?
You can hardly see a lady strolling past with her natural hair flowing.
Instead you will see them with all manner of wigs perched on their heads.
Some of those even looked like hats and is 'so obvious' that the wearer ends up looking
ludicrous(hilarious) instead of the intended
attractive.
In the case of weave-ons, some look like rastafari prophetess just because they are ashamed of their natural beauty.>
So I ask again >>Why??
Christianity Etc › Re: Top Ten Bible Verses You Will Never Hear In Church. by Frostyzone(op): 5:39pm On Dec 27, 2012
Goshen360: Permnit me to help you out.......@ OP and everyone,

The bible is a compilation of God's thought in God's university. You don't expect one ONE student or ONE faculty in a university, do you huh The bible was written to two major groups but then, three namely,

The Jews
The Gentiles
The church of God.

Now, back to the topic, all scriptures quoted are under the old covenant wherein God found fault with the ONLY people He was dealing with at that time. Christianity wasn't in effect until the death of the testator.
There are several others in the new testament I didn't quote because of space constraint.
But I did quote one from the book of Mark which is in the new testament. What other excuses do you have to give about that one?
I think that the reason some NOT all Christians may be defensive when debating with an atheist is probably because of the attacks they receive from them. Humans are humans regardless of religion. They are many religions out there that believe in God. Hindus, Islam, Buddhist and many more. There is just too much attack against Christian's from a lot of different directions. While other religions, are ignored. For example, there are numerous video's, books, cd's and the lot out there against christianity or the doctrine's they hold. A couple of a years ago, Da DiVinci Code was a blockbuster hit in the cinemas. The book also sold massive amounts. This movie and book was pretty much offensive as it was against Christian doctrine, yet there was no death or violence...(no one said a word). Recently we saw the tragic result of the movie "innocence of islam". Many people died and many more were injured. President's all over the world condemned the movie in other to attain peace... president Obama even requested that the movie be taken down from google, youtube and the lot. So, for you to say that you think Christian's are defensive or have a defensive tone is not only ridiculous because it's normal for every human being in a debate, its also irrelevant. Not all atheist's speak the same or respond the same either.
Obviously you didn't read what I said in observation 3.
