Why are you not campaigning for Shettima instead of Tinubu if he blew your mind?
Why do you prefer baalablu bluhu bulaba to what you described about Shettima’s response? Is Shettima not seeking re election alongside Tinubu ? |

givedemwotowoto: In contrast, this was Tinubu's response when asked about insecurity
Shettina blew my mind. He hinted on Brenton Woods agreement following WW2 and how it gave rise to the USD hegemon, post colonial realities to follow afterwards and the rise of China and India as global economic super powers. He did it so well without even spewing jargons and his final response to the original question by the anchor was as diplomatically tactful as can be given the threat of Judeo-Anglo mafia on any nation that seeks to join BRICs. And his response was less than a minute long and he did not resort to silly analogies or pull statistics from out of his ass. Shettina spoke as a really deeply informed individual , professional and diplomat. This is what your Giringori will never be able to do . |

This is the first time I am hearing Shettina speak on a major global issue and he handled it with deep knowledge of history, sound understanding of current geopolitics and tactful diplomacy.
This is what a highly intelligent and seasoned technocrat and leader sounds like unlike that Mr Statisticus bin Lamba.
Obidients should try and watch the clip and see how real intelligent people speak in public and handle conversations tactfully. |

Crook.
That's how he embezzled Jonathan-Sambo 2015 re election funds when he served as the SE PDP campaign coordinator for GEJ-Sambo.
He will later embezzle LP campaign funds alongside that dirty looking Aisha. |

He set a standard, and because his successors can't match up to his integrity is not his fault. Because your Giringori keeps lying and using same set of lies to campaign . GEJ is the only reason your Giringori did not face the law for all his accumulated corruption when in office. |

Politics › Re: Why I Think That The Government Is Behind The Chinese Invasion Of Retaii Busines by FSBoperator: 10:47pm On Sep 17 |
owobokiri: Every country protects her retail trade. WHY? Together with agriculture, retail trade provides easily accessible jobs for the less skilled amongst the population. It is also easier to start a retail shop than say-opening a factory. No one has said that the Chinese can not do business in Nigeria, after all they have been running their Chinese shops/towns for ages here, What every thinking mind has said is that they should not torpedo the retail sector of the economy with their cheap adulterated products, at a great risk to the economy.
When a Nigerian trader/business man makes profit in Nigeria, he spends most of it here thereby energising the economy. He builds houses, buying Dangote cement that is produced locally and owned by a fellow Nigerian. He sends his kids to government/private schools in Nigeria and pay handsomely. He buys land in Nigeria most times, and pays to fellow Nigerians thereby enriching the economy. He banks with Nigerian banks that are owned by Nigerian from different regions, and makes shareholders of those banks to rip huge profits. Because he stays in Nigeria, most of his disposable income are spent here, with the attendant VAT payments and taxes. A Chinese seldom wait for all that. Likewise Indians. They are on the next flight out of town with their huge profits..
It is not like the federal government is not aware of all these. They are. It's just that some people in government have chosen to act dodgy for obvious reasons. Otherwise, why are businesses in other sectors being protected from skewed competitions from foreigners, but those areas dominated by easterners are willfully surrendered to foreigners irrespective of the great harm to the local economy? It is also important to note that the uptick in the presence of the Chinese retail businesses in Nigeria today, is happening as the Chinese authorities start to tighten visa rules for Nigerian businesses/business men.. That is not a coincidence..
When there was a move to start importing beef into this country to augment the low quality products from the fulani herders, the federal government moved swiftly to stop that! Today, irrespective of the quantity or quality of beef produced by the fulani, we are forced to buy solely from them! Infact, a federal ministry of Livestocks have been created to take care of their demands. Buhari banned rice importation. How can a Chinese blatant take over of the economy enrich Nigerians??
When a foreign producer delves into wholesaling and retailing his products.., going as far as opening shops next to the same traders who just bought from him, then there seem to be a deliberately calculated programe to annihilate the "trader".. When the government of the day goes as far as defending the foreign nationals who will import goods into Nigeria, wholesale/retail and then spirit away their earnings back to their home countries overnight, in serious capital flight, and the government supports this, you need no one to tell you that a SILENT WAR is being waged against a segment of the population!
But we have seen this before. Someone invited the Lebanese and the Indians in the past, to come and do exactly what they want the Chinese to do today. Where are the bountiful results? Apart from the Chagoury and Chagoury?? Have we learned!? As long as we make national policies based on primordial disdain for certain groups in this country, we can never move forward. You can't cut your nose just to spite your face.. So all these while that your brothers were dealing with the Chinese without problem , it wasn't the govt that brought the Chinese into Nigeria . You people are not normal in the head. |

ebubeson: Many people are HIV positive and they do not know about it: some are not positive but have not been tested. If you can, go and know your status.
One of the reasons you may need to know about your HIV status is to be sure about yourself and what actions you may start taking.
If you get tested and you are negative, start leaving a safe and careful life. If you are positive, start working out things for your medications.
HIV is there! One wrong sex can change your HIV status from negative to positive. If you are not a gay bottom or a woman , you can't get hiv. |
Politics › Re: The Igbo Guys Saying Chinese Must Go Should Be Arrested by FSBoperator: 6:21pm On Sep 17 |
WizardOfNG: I wonder bro. Anyone averagely exposed knows the economies that are best globally are those that host competitively free market capacity.
For example, I love the Temu model. Super cheap goods Nigerians can afford. Can some, shouting here, offer such value for Nigerians? No.
Must their materialistic and greedy desire to chase wealth be greater than the need for Nigerians to have access to what they need at the lowest prices available?
That is what competitive free market economy, most advantageous to consumers of a nation, is about.
Those who want monopoly can focus on trading in their region alone. To me, the Nigerian economy must be opened up competitively to import of goods, services and human resources with the most specialist skills to develop as other nations like Singapore have. These are the same people dealing convinently with the Chinese in trade fair until the Chinese decided to deal directly with customers. Now they are saying it is Tinubu and Yorubas who brought Chinese businessmen whom they have been dealing with directly all these years to now undermine them. You see these people ehn? If I say my mind you won't be able to read my response. |

Igbos should reply this by going into serious productions. This will be the best way to revenge. Unfortunately, Igbos have no leaders to galvanize this revenge. Or more so Nigeria is not a country to help this |

malatachete: A lot of our fathers and mothers who returned to Enugu on January 1970, found their shops at Ogbete and Kenyetta markets occupied and dominated by Yoruba traders. They didn’t protest over their presence. They traded side by side with the Yoruba traders. Within a month the Igbo traders not only displaced the traders but they had to relocate cause they couldn’t compete. The Igbo man especially one who is engaged in buying and selling of commodities is not a cry baby. He is innovative and relentless. The presence of these Chinese is the much needed motivation you need to excel. Story |

They can source and stock more because they're having a superior purchasing power, buying at a cheaper rate from their local manufacturers, not because they're better at business China has been the source of the goods you peddle and you are here complaining because Chinese retailers want to sell directly and cheaper to us. You didn't know about local industries when you were allowed to import everything from china it's now that Chinese are retailing and squeezing you out that you remember local content. Guy shift. |

Reference: Who here is from Kano and now the dynamics of Kanti Kwari, the largest textile market in W/A. I was a practical witness when the Chinese literally invaded that market decades ago and systematically took over.
Not physically but economically, but first taking our own textiles back to China, reverse engineering them and bringing back to sell at a cheaper price. Naturally local textile mills buckled and even distributors and retailers of Nigerians textile had to abandon Nigerian stuff to stay competitive.
Not satisfied they deepened the invasion by advancing goods on credit from China. If you had the goods, you had the shop indirectly.
Today I don't know whether they are physically on ground running those shops but it will not surprise me.
So what is happening is Lagos is not today. It has happened in other locations I have personally witnessed from Lagos to Calabar (EPZ) and a couple of other places.
The bottom line is simple. A series of governments that care less about productivity. All they know is supply and contract leaving huge voids huge spaces.to be exploited by foreigners who are getting bolder by the year.
Today this government cares less about the factors of production.
Tell them that energy is getting out of hand they tell you they have no business with fuel.
Tell them power is unsuitable for sustainable production they tell you they have handed over to states.
Tell them to invest in enterprises, seed industry, privatised government businesses and push for PPP's to bridge service delivery gaps, they prefer to share palliatives instead....
But instead of the citizens to collectively press for these things to be done they are busy doing tribal cockfights....nonsense people. My friend this is exactly what Ibo traders did to Nigerian manufacturing starting in the 80s. You can not preach against Chinese manufacturing taking over when you are simply importing same Chinese goods and selling at a cut throat margin. |

The Chinese on our soil are here to stay. Who isn't pleased should go jump into a lagoon as their forefathers were rightly advised or return to their cursed land.
