When the beheading of your likes starts in the nearest future by ISIS (Africa branch) feel free to run to Biafra for safety. You are always welcome. Then it must be a miracle I and my progenitors have survived and prospered this far, I forever owe Nnamdi Kanu my allegiance. See why you're an irritant? |

Politics › Re: Appointments: Buhari, APC Move To Pacify S’east by fulanimafia: 10:08am On Aug 30, 2015 |
AwesomelyMade: Buhari should just appoint those he wants and stop this hypocrisy of pacification.
The hand writing of his bigotry is audible to the deaf and legible to the blind.
Sometime ago I wrote that his north needs mind transformation to creep out of poverty and illiteracy; filling his cabinet with hundreds from the millions over there will not change the fact that they are the most impoverished in Nigeria. Ironically, they have ruled more than any other region. Quit deceiving yourself, Nigeria was plagued with military dictatorships and not leaders, so your statement is completely baseless. After 14 years of the south in power, why is poverty still ravaging Bayelsans that lack ordinary potable water and Abia State looks like an abandoned, open wound? What we need is quality leadership. |

They honestly should have ignored the wailers. The irony is that they often forget PMB retained the IGP and CBN Governor who are both southerners.
For those of us that elected Buhari, what we demand from him is performance, not appointments. |

Anyone that wants to argue with this testimony should present facts.
The deliverable of PMB's presidency remains performance and that is the metric with which we should use to evaluate him.
Supporting this administration is clearly to the benefit of all, regardless of region. |

WhiteTechnology: Now you agree they voted against Jonathan because he loves Igbos whom they hate with absolute passion.
Anyway good morning. I do not agree because Jonathan failed and was kicked out on that basis, my point is that the statements from some supporters reveal they were not absolutely sure about what they were voting for. It's about objectivity and not myopia. Good Afternoon. |

Politics › Re: Open Letter To President Muhammadu Buhari On His Recent Appointments by fulanimafia: 1:15pm On Aug 29, 2015 |
To be honest, some 'supporters' do not really know why they voted Buhari, though they can be pardoned as most people simply wanted change from the past failed administration.
I repeat, Buhari's core deliverable is Performance, all else is smoke and mirrors. Hopefully the appointees deliver beyond expectation to all concerned, so Nigerians can be weaned of our ethnic bias regarding government appointments. |

President Buhari might eventually complete this bridge, and will probably suspend the contract agreement which stipulates that users of the bridge will be tolled for the next 25 years as designed by GEJ.
Hopefully the FG will agree to bear the full burden like it does in it's major projects in other places, and the SE will be saved from the otherwise quarter decade enslavement. Meanwhile, wailers have been screaming at the suspension for re-evaluation. Typical. |

Keyamo nails it again. There is no denying the concept of 'key' or 'juicy' positions is based on assumed or expected looting or preferential treatment that the occupier will engage in to benefit his constituency, most times which ends up not even happening.
The expected deliverable of PMB's assignment similarly, is not appointments, but performance. |
Politics › Re: How Tinubu And Wike Gave Sgf And C.o.s To The North. by fulanimafia: 6:01pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
Jorussia: thank God you are reasoning like me.Tinubu and wike, successfully demonized fashola and amaechi in the media,to the detriment of the south.Do you think the northerners pmb as appointed so far have not been involved in corruption before? the answer is yes they must have. The northerners always know when to close rank interms of appointment. Tell me now, what is the need for wike to setup a judicial enquiry when,a petition is already before the EFCC against amaechi It is difficult to argue with your assertions, even I was embarrassed for Fashola. It was a myopic move by Wike (in the context of southern interest), although I'd rather have Amaechi prosecuted for corruption rather than rewarded inspite of it. In times like this it could get difficult to maintain objectivity, but this is the time we must be patriotic enough to call a spade a spade. If our ultimate objective is to ensure we have a transparent and responsible government, then we must ensure the rules apply to everyone regardless of whose ox is gored. |
Politics › Re: How Tinubu And Wike Gave Sgf And C.o.s To The North. by fulanimafia: 5:42pm On Aug 28, 2015 |
Interesting perspective and quite plausible.
For a fact, PMB wouldn't appoint Fashola nor Amaechi amidst all those corruption allegations.
Amaechi might be given other responsibilities, time will tell. What I don't understand are the struggling Nigerians feeling 'pity' for a billionaire politician. |

GodsMercy1: Appointing Ministers from every State of the federation is a constitutional provision otherwise he would have been considering ignoring the South too. Even with that provision, one cannot 100% certain of what he can still do. That is when we will know we are in for trouble. Violating the constitution is never an option, but remember that appointing junior ministers for certain states also satisfies the constitutional provision so I won't be surprised if that also becomes an issue in the coming weeks. |

This is what I care about: Nigerian army establishes command in Sambisa Nigerian airforce uproots BH PMB orders clean up of Ogoni land PMB approves 65 private refineries (if each refinery employs 100 people, that a whole 6500 job!!) Electricity supply hit all time high in Nigeria Refineries working etc....etc.... If only we could all be as objective. We are getting there, I was just telling a colleague that by the time the dust settles and these appointees happen to deliver excellent results as planned, Nigerians will be weaned of ethnic bias with regards to appointments. |

gists: I don't know about you but I did not vote for PMB to appoint ministers from every region. I voted for him to deliver good governance. My definition of good governance is reduced corruption and eradication of insurgency by any means necessary. And he seems to be doing a pretty damn good job at the moment. It will be good if he spreads his appointments across all regions but as far as I am concerned, that is just an icing on the cake. The moment he begins to deviate from good governance, he can kiss my vote good-bye come 2019. Exactly my point, that is the primary and core issue. However engaging his partners in progress, especially the SW, will no doubt improve the atmosphere for attaining those objectives. |

I am still of the opinion that PMB's selection should have been more balanced. The point however is that the appointments in no way adversely affect the achievement of the core deliverable of PMB's mandate, or conclusively paint him as a tribalist furthering a northern agenda, especially as less than 30% of appointments have been made.
It is my heartfelt desire that he balances the ministerial appointments fairly across both regions, and my gut tells me he will. |

ArodewilliamsT: Would you have tried "rationalizing critically" If a Southerner was in power, choosing all his cabinet members from Ihiala because those are the "only competent people can knows". Why not? It depends on my objectives. If my objective is to be able to brag that my region is represented over rescuing a dying Nigeria, then appointees from Ihiala would mean a failure of my objective and you can expect me to wail in response. Notwithstanding, I'd prefer a more balanced representation either way. Just like I'd prefer now. |
