When I was young my dad used to compare me and my other siblings to other peoples' children. That made me feel as if other children were better than me and this contributed to my Low Self Esteem(LSE) later in life. Now this is a real struggle for me because it affects my confidence especially when I'm with people or trying to do something unique. Though it's very painful because I feel I'd have turned out much better earlier in life. It's not easy but I forgive him as I try to take every step to overcome this.
grandstar: Yinka ayefeles house was demolished not as an act of vindictivenness but because he broke planning laws. The property frustrated the expansion of a road. It wasn't personal. The Demolishion was necessary for the road expansion
I know that of Edo state was personal. Obaseki did so to frustrate and deter political opponents who were hellbent on frustrating his government. It seemed to have worked.
In Wikes case, it's against citizens and there are more civil and legal ways it can be carried out. Dealing it up and fining them would have sufficed.
You are a big liar....the said road had already been completed a year before the demolition. The act was pure vindictiveness on the part of Ajimobi. Wike is a very callous person. Some people just need a little excuse to exhibit tyranny.
Timijo: Both the concerned and the less concerned people gathered on this thread to castigate the governor without knowing the truth behind the demolition. Think before you talk people, don't allow emotion to becloud your sense of judgement.
Except the place was a criminal hideout for kidnappers or ritual killers, there is no reason for destroying that place. Power will come and go...Wike should be careful, he should ask Ihedioha.
Futuragetty: Speak up already, Governor Wike Sharp man, correct guy... Been in government circles for 20 years... He understands Nigeria pretty good... And has exploited the foibles of the structure to the hilt... Then he became a minister... And wanted to do a lot... But got hampered by the Constitution... He complained as much in my presence... But didn't know whom I was... Bought me a drink though... Well, I took it with a smile... So he opted to be a governor... Battles he had to keep his mandate... A combination of a street man and an intellectual... He kept off the Vultures... And rallied his people behind him... For better for worse... Governor Wike is an interesting man... That he loves his people is not in doubt... And wants the best for his immediate Region... But has discovered to his chagrin... How evil the 1999 constitution is... So he does things in such a way... To challenge the omnipotence of the federal government... Talk of a governor that wants true federalism... Or one that's ready to call it quits with Nigeria... I see his actions and observe the ambivalence... He enjoys what the Constitution brings him... But detests the Constitution at the same time... Nothing proves this more than the current pandemic... Where he's telling the federal government off in every way... To shove it down an orifice... Where the sun shines none! So what exactly do you fear Governor Wike? A second term governor with nothing to loose... Protected by immunity and loved by your people... Why hide behind bravado when you could really be brave? Why challenge the 1999 constitution at a tangent and not straight on... When you could challenge it head-on? We all know you detest that constitution... Why not pitch-in and denounce it right away... Rather than this method the simpletons don't understand? According to my funny friend called Dino, the son of Melaye... Speak up, you die... Keep shut, you die... Why not speak up on the Constitution... And still live, and die like a hero? We know what you think of that stupid document... But your method shows a whole lot of cowardice... When you could easily be a hero! I say "death to the 1999 constitution"! Even as a nobody, I'm yet to get killed! Dear Governor Wike of State of the Rivers... Denounce the 1999 constitution today and lead the fight... Grow some balls and fight head-on... You would not die but be seen as a hero... For what could we do when our men are she-males? # think again something today... Reject that constitution and be our premier! Can I get an "amen" somebody? #Note by ROY
You can hail well....but we won't forget that his ascension to power has been paved with many blood.
Bob Marley's songs were jivvy and it appealed more to the western media thus all the hype. In contrast Peter Tosh was more political and militant in his style which the west didn't like. Bob marley over time towards his death became more African conscious. Peter Tosh was the unsung hero.
The word of God brings hope, peace, assurance and deliverance not hopelessness and death. No need to confirm where this is coming from; certainly not from God.
djon78: I mean what I am saying. Africans need very mean leaders. Majority of our people are lawless. They don't obey laws. Go around the country and see it everywhere.
Up till today, the most feared government in this our democracy time is still Obasanjos government. If you mess up, you are ruthlessly dealt with. Be you a governor or whoever.
Before you reply first go and check the meaning of "mean" . People like you should be feared...Idi amin mentality.
sexyice: I really need to comment on this. First off, if you don’t live in rivers state; pls pls pls shutd4kup. Secondly, you can call him names or whatever but he’s one of the best governors rivers state has produced so far. The people calling him names and saying he is wicked are the reason Nigeria is sinking deeper into the “Rona” quicksand. You all should go and read about how china dealt with the virus and you’d understand why they insist on using draconian measures. It’s a shame that Nigeria as a country would be a massive grave yard because of the virus, and all those protesting the lockdown and screaming fraud here, fake numbers there, I’m sorry to say you haven’t experienced any lockdown yet. The worlds economies will pick up and life restored to almost normalcy and then our true lockdown would start and trust me; no governor or leader would need to tell you dumb asses to stay d4k indoors or wear a mask or wash your hands or maintain social distance, people will drop like flies in Nigeria, from the facts the world has presented and research of how Rona works, it’s new complications which are too numerous to mention and I just found out today it’s got new symptoms in kids, yes kids who make your life worth every bit of living, and then the different strands that the virus has; up to 4 strands, not to speak of the second wave which is highly predicted or the possibility of getting reinfected, lol, you all live in a country whose environment is better described ‘filthy’ for lack of better words, no fumigation, no common sense, greedy bastards leading and stealing your money daily in the name of audio projects etc, I keep laughing cos it feels like I’ve seen the future and feel sad knowing it’s inevitable because of illiteracy on the part of Nigerians, it hurts to say the north especially Kano would surpass mind boggling numbers from Rona deaths, the government would cry out for help in coming months, international help is what I mean and then the true numbers will surface and all who have been doubting if this is real or make belief will shed tears on a daily due to ignorance which will cost the lives of people close to them, Draconian measures is the only way in Nigeria to curb the spread and rivers state has one of the best chances, I’m sorry to say Nigeria would hit its peak between September and November. I pray we still have a Government by then, and please don’t say God this or God that, the Bible makes it very clear that faith without work is dead, do your bit and have faith else doomsday would be in December 2020.
djon78: The only thing that Africans understand is force and meanness. If you are too nice as a leader they will disobey laws. Tomorrow let me see who will come out to disobey government.
You can be tough as a leader but being mean is another level. Sometimes some of you don't know what you're saying.
Stefenijoan002: Ah Mr governor you ve gone extremely far .auctioning their car is wickedness n is inhuman .give them a warning or something .on this o totally disagree with you .
Let him sell it, shebi his madness is making him act stupid abi. He will soon meet his match; just hope he doesn't go ahead and Bleep with d wrong person.
I only blame Buhari for all this... give Ganduje and Wike what they want and let innocent kano and Rivers people be free from bondage, Buhari vex dey form stubborn.. how can you lock people up indefinitely, not even 14 days, without food or palliative
.
So Buhari not dashing out money is the reason for Wike to lock down the state insensitively abi. Some of you need your brains to be checked I swear.
Heard Kogi has been pushing all their cases to FCT that's why they don't have any reported case. Even heard there's no single isolation centre in the state. Kogi state is on one chance I swear.
Job wey dem fit sack am at anytime...this girl wan enter one chance. Besides is whatsapp even the best place to have this type of conversation? Truly bomb dey this Op head!
lastempero: Anyone that puts peter tosh b4 marley really understands the mystic and story of reggae though my number 1 spot goes to peter.
That's true; he's lyrics and songs were very deep and spiritual. His song "Lesson In my Life" literally brought me out of depression years back. Thank you Peter Tosh! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FaJQ2AMh_lo
