Politics › Re: Willy Obiano Is APGA Anambra Guber Candidate by funshint(m): 11:31pm On Aug 26, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: My support goes to Obiano and APGA 100%.

Yes, Ngige built roads while his stolen mandate lasted but governance is much more than building of roads. Also, Ngige has NO credibility.

The two factional PDP candidates are NO GO AREAS.

As for Soludo, its a shame he lost out. However, it was almost like mission impossible for him to join APGA at the eleventh hour and pick the parties ticket. Lets be realistic, no matter how good Soludo is, that could only have happened if there was a very powerful good father behind him.

Peter Obi made it known long time ago that APGA ticket is for Anambra North. So no surprises. Those looking for scapegoats in Abuja can now face front.

My advice to Soludo is that he should remain with APGA and build the party with other leaders of the party, just like he promised when he joined. He'll be rewarded in future. You cannot stay away while others are working and later come to chop, no matter how intelligent you are.

As for those asking who is Obiano? They forgot that Fashola was nobody in 2007 when Tinubu made him governor of Lagos State. Ngige was nobody in 2003 when the Ubah family made him governor of Anambra State. And so on and forth. If those who were nobody yesterday have become somebody today, those who are nobody today will also become somebody tomorrow. Obiano should be considered on his own merit
Fashola was not a nonentity before he became gov. Remember he was Tinubu's chief of staff. I've discovered something in politics; it's risky to impose a nonentity into a political race just because the party structure is strong. Obi thinks he's going to have it easy; he should rather forget it. What is going to happen in Anambra is just a repeat of what happened in Ondo. ACN learnt a bitter lesson in that election because they tot they could just impose anybody because the party structure was strong. The rest is history!!! Obi himself will be surprised by the outcome of this election. Just relax and observe wat will happen!

I just laff @ those underrating Ngige. Anambra pple can now see clearly that all those Fashola dis; Soludo dat are all trash! It's just a mere attempt by Peter Obi to soil the good name of other opponents. All he wants to do is to put Anambra into his pocket but Anambra pple are wiser than dat. Why do people have to run away to lagos if their home was in order?! Its because of the gross under-development and impunity by the thieves portraying themselves as leaders. No matter what Obi says his 8yrs tenure cannot match Ngige's 2yrs and Anambra pple will never forget that because his works speaks loudly for him. Many pple will be shocked in this cumin election. But in everything I wish Anambra well... Protect 'ur vote; vote Ngige!!!

Politics › Anambra 2014: CNPP Hails Okorocha For Ngige's Endorsement by funshint(op): 9:16am On Aug 26, 2013
The Conference of Nigerian Political Parties on
Sunday said the All Progressives Grand Alliance did
not have the will to win the November 16
governorship election in Anambra State.
It also congratulated Governor Rochas Okorocha of
Imo State for ditching APGA for the newly-formed
All Progressives Congress.
In a statement through the National Publicity
Secretary, Osita Okechukwu, the CNPP noted that
with Okorocha's exit from APGA to APC and the role
he played to midwife a seamless APC primary
election in Anambra, APGA's end was near in the
state.
According to the statement, Okorocha's exit from
APGA and entry into the APC is a clarion call to
Ndigbo to join the progressive train, "where hard
work, innovation and competition more than
patronage, prevails."

There's no party without its own internal wrangling. But ACN/APC has a good and timeless way of overcoming any discord within their party ranks. This is one thing other parties should emulate from them. No matter their differences they still cum together on the long run because the interest of the party is greater than the ambition of any individual unlike some other parties e.g PDP(armed robber party)
*even blood brothers do fight talkless of a collection of people from different background but the most important thing is reconciliation and moving forward!

Pk001: I hate bigots like you!
Who told you he is incapacitated? Do you know what the constitution says about declaring some incapacitated?
I have bad news for you. Danbaba Suntai remains the Governor of Taraba state. He is back to resume work.
The legislators did the right thing in the constitution by placing his deputy in acting capacity 21 days after he left office, which the national assembly fail to do during Yaradua Saga even after 2 months.

Now that suntai is back, all he needs to do is to right the state assembly informing them that he is back.
Bien Venu my Governor!
Haters go and hug transformer.
U̶̲̥̅̊ don't know wat U̶̲̥̅̊'re saying; wat I'm seeing can only resume in his bedroom or at most on a rocking chair in his sitting room. Its time to invoke Section 189 of the Nigerian constitution. With what I saw on channels Suntai is obviously permanently incapacitated and I doubt if he recognizes anybody or can string any complete sensible sentence together. They should pls let him rest. He obviously can't resume his post again; May God heal him permanently. Amen!!!

Later U̶̲̥̅̊ pple shld start crying that U̶̲̥̅̊ don't hv vibrant and credible leaders. Imagine a region producing 2 Tinubus(Okorocha and Ngige) who will end up becoming the major players and force to reckon with in the scheme of things in this country; that is unprecedented in the history of Nigeria. Infact with this 2 players Igbo emancipation is more likely to be feasible because any decision they agree upon will surely stand no matter what a Jupiter of Northerners say. Politics › Re: Chevron, Shell Pull Out Of Olokola LNG Project by funshint(m): 1:13am On Aug 25, 2013
It's all down to viability. Truth is LNG is yesterday's news. The world has moved on. Nigeria's biggest LNG project (Brass LNG)has been stuck in phase 2 (called Train 2) when it was planned to have 4 trains. The multinational oil companies are also involved in that project.

The price of LNG collapsed on the world market a few years back, and though it has improved a bit, new gas discoveries have been made in many more countries (including East Africa)thus meaning there are more supply sources. Paradoxically, much of Nigeria's gas can't be sold locally due to low domestic prices.

With LNG no longer in hot demand (as it was when Olokola and the other projects were planned), and no viable domestic market, any surprise investors are pulling back. Investors are hard-nosed profiteers. They are no mugs.

To compound LNG's problem, there is the phenomenon that is shale gas, which is reshaping America's (and soon the world's) energy market. With the discovery of shale gas, LNG prices in America are so low that if you got a ship-load of Nigerian LNG for free, and ship it to the US, by the time it arrives there, the cost of shipping alone will ensure that the 'free' LNG will still be almost as expensive as the current cost of LNG in the American market.

As far as LNG is concerned, OLOKOLA IS DEAD. It's not politics. The project, and others in Nigeria simply are not adding up anymore. What to do is to keep it alive for other industries, and the proposed Dangote refinery is a good step. It can become a cluster for allied petrochemical, plastic, and other industries. It can still achieve serious success.

What we should be doing as a country is seriously looking at rebalancing the economy away from its over dependence on oil. But when you have a political class whose sole desire is to loot, there is no hope of any such rebalancing happening. They are simply not interested.

Ever wondered how much energy, resources, and valuable time this Presidency was spending on Amaechi and PDP's political machinations in Anambra? You get it! Their own personal financial considerations are far more important to them.
You are the most "senseful" female I've ever seen on nairaland. Chai!!!

Politics › Re: Ojukwu Would Have Joined APC - Okorocha by funshint(m): 2:56pm On Aug 24, 2013
DerideGull: Have you heard that all politics are local? You are right on the comment of being too personal. It is either you are blissfully myopic as an observer or Ngige is a pathological goofy politician. If Ngige really sought to lead any Igbo person or even learned, he would have publicly lambasted Lagos State government for the contravention of certain human rights of the people it deported which is granted in the Nigerian constitution regardless the tribal hue of the deportees.

It is even worrisome that few of the deportees were indigenes of Anambra State yet the Mr. Ngige is seeking to lead the people of Anambra State as governor. If he could not, at least, cough at the idiocy perpetrated by Lagos State led moronic B Fashola for deporting fellow Nigerians, then Ngige will go to sleep as governor of Anambra State if indigenes of his state are brutalized by an APC- controlled state.

I really do not give a hoot what party Ojukwu would have joined. After all, he joined NPN and could not lift a mere senatorial seat from his federal constituency when Ojukwu was taken to the cleaners by out-of-state resident named Onwudiwe.
I can now see U̶̲̥̅̊'re a political neophyte! So U̶̲̥̅̊'re saying Ngige shld publicly lambast Fashola; a fellow party man?! Then what will that tell of Ngige's ambition and party image. U̶̲̥̅̊'re truly a learner; go and sleep.

DerideGull: The above crass postulation is what sets Europeans and African apart. I guess the same Ngige who could not stand up for a poor trodden Ndigbo who were forcefully deported by APC led government in Lagos State is being remotely contemplated as gubernatorial candidate in Igbo land. There would be no chiefs without the Indians.
That's not it; Ngige saw that Obi was being mischievous with the whole issue and he's not going to fall into his trap. Most of U̶̲̥̅̊ hv not asked vital questions about the whole saga; all U̶̲̥̅̊ do is shout and make noise. What is the identity of those who were deported? Were they engaging in any legitimate biz in lagos b4 being relocated? Is this the first time LASG will carry out such exercise? Is it only Igbos that hv been relocated out of Lagos? What was Obi's response to the documents released by LASG showing that Obi's govt was earlier intimated about the exercise? If truly there is a plan by APC against Igbo; why weren't they relocated in other SW states...etc Igbos think!!! Your ignorance and lazy mentality is gradually killing U̶̲̥̅̊. Obi has sold U̶̲̥̅̊ out; he knew when U̶̲̥̅̊ guys can easily fall for ethnic sentiments; he decided to turn U̶̲̥̅̊ against 'ur kinsmen who are passionate about Igbo emancipation. waternogetenemy:
Dat is the point exactly, Anambra don't want a politician like Ngige. Look at the last decade and ask urself wat politician have done for Nigeria.

For Nigeria to take its place in the committee of nations, technocrats is exactly wat dey should produce. The reason y GEJ was voted was precisely becos Nigeria wanted a Technocrat. GEJ was assumed to have PHD and the most educated President Nigeria has ever produced.

Do u honestly see Nigeria returning to the days were semi illiterates are elected President and Govs?

Once Nigeria start to taste the dividends of Democracy with all the work GEJ has put in by 2015, Buhari don't stand a chance.

Ngige is a politician dat truily stood no chance against Soludo and Apga, dat was the perfect marriage hence the disqualification

This is most unfair to the Anambra Electorate.
I really feel 'ur pain but who told U̶̲̥̅̊ GEJ was voted in because he was a technocrat?? GEJ was voted because Nigerians didn't hv a better choice. Definitely not Buhari because even APC won't field him in 2015. Ngige is a trained medical doctor, a man with a lot of sense and charisma. He's what Anambra needs... and he'll definitely perform when he gets there by God's grace!!

waternogetenemy: Soludo should follow the trail to Obi and GEJ. Dey are the once that we expected him to have dialog with before embarking on this journey.

How did he expect to win anything without them fully behind him? I hope he is not a goat and knows the right people to ally with, that is GEJ OF COURSE.

Go and seek reconciliation with ur Party boss GEJ. Discourse with him, Anambra is a GEJ friendly state and do not want another Amaechi or Okorocha.

Our gov work closely with the President. The president is hard to find or reach but try very hard and u will find him just in time.

Help yourself first before Anambra.
Look politics is different from being a technocrat. As it stands now even if Soludo becomes gov; he portends a grave danger for Anambra because he's not politically sound/conscious and that shows from the decisions he has made so far. Just like Ladoja; he was a technocrat but wasn't politically sound and that got Oyo state into a lot of trouble. Anambra be wise don't be dissuaded by d ethnic lies, "Tinubu" nonsense they've been peddling about. They want to keep U̶̲̥̅̊ under wraps that's the reason why they want to destroy d ambition of those that can save U̶̲̥̅̊; "Soludo and Ngige". They've taken Soludo from U̶̲̥̅̊; U̶̲̥̅̊ still have gold in 'ur hand in the person of "Ngige". Anambra wiseup O°˚˚˚ ; Fashola and Ngige are two different personalities.
