Politics › Re: FG should dualize Ilesha To Benin Road by funshint(m):
fabregas04: bro, u made a very vital point but got it wrong wen it comes to mimiko/LP/ACN/SW, cos I don't knw what u've got 2 say as regards obajana-kabba-ilorin road, in kogi n kwara states, despite d two states being governed by PDP, yet notin is done. Hw abt d benin axis? Cos Edo is being led by an CAN man.
U̶̲̥̅̊'re right bro but I'm specific about ACN states. There's something peculiar with their Govs and that is; they are consistent about demanding for what rightly is owed them from the FG. And that is one thing that is lacking in Mimiko's govt. Ondo state lacks behind when it comes to Federal projects. Everybody knows that MiddleBelt govs esp Kogi & Nasarawa are colossal failures!!!
Politics › Re: FG should dualize Ilesha To Benin Road by funshint(m): 11:47am On Aug 23, 2013
That's true normally dualisation of that road should have terminated at Akure or Benin as some suggested. That road is damn too narrow and dangerous. It should urgently be expanded into double lanes and not just mere rehabilitation!!! I think the Ondo state govt has been lackadaisical about that road because assuming Ondo state was also part of ACN states they'll have pressurized the Federal govt. to expand that road a long time ago just like the Ibadan-Abeokuta road that is about being dualized. That's one of the problem Mimiko poses to the progress of SW. Those who are knowlegeable will understand what I'm saying. God help us!!!

It's time U̶̲̥̅̊ people realise that Peter Obi/APGA are your real enemies. They denied U̶̲̥̅̊ a fine candidate in the person of Soludo just because of their selfish interest. Now they want to take the remaining gold in your hand in the person of NGIGE with tribal sentiments and campaign of falsehood. Anambra people watchout; Ngige all the way!!!

Shut your trap there! Is selective victimization and political witchhunting part of what police are paid for. I'm not surprised; Mbu is a PDP thug in police uniform. He was also used to victimize opposition politicians when he was in Oyo state under the PDP led administration of Alao Akala. That guy is a crook; having elements like that in Nigerian police portends grave danger for this country.
Politics › Re: List Of Redeployed Commissioners Of Police by funshint(m): 10:02am On Aug 20, 2013
Why is NPF so "northernified"? Just 2 southerners in the whole of the federation?! And why is Mbu still d CP of Rivers state despite the huge call for his redeployment by the Nat.Assenbly, Senate and even the state? How come he's still there despite the announcement earlier made that he has been transferred. Surely GEJ is running a "kindergarten" government!!!

kel4soft: Well, as a new graduate engineer, am ready for march next year cos my state government won the Afam power plants station bid. Together with the Gas turbine at Trans-Amadi and Omoku, we can now now generate and distribute electricity. So, Rivers State govt will be recruiting 3000 engineers to be trained after employment aside the shores of the country. The quota are 2500 for indigenes and 500 for non-indigenes just like the teachers recruitment of 11000 for indigenes and 2000 for non-indigenes. I am looking forward to this once in a lifetime employment in that sector. With this information i just shared i think, i have contributed in spreading a juicy job vacancy. Trust me, Rivers State recruitment is one of the most transparent excercise you can ever go for. Asked the newly recruited teachers. Couldn't apply for the latter cos i wasn't through with service then. Just dust your CV, if you are from Rivers State or reside in the state.
My broda U̶̲̥̅̊ better don't be too sure... i.e be prepared for a shocker!! Anyway best of luck!!!

They were only protecting them against Muslim Brotherhood(Pro-morsi) who uphold d radical form of islam and hv been burning churches in Egypt. Most Southern Nigeria muslims will do thesame because we place ethnicity above religion unlike our Northern pple who can kill their brothers because of religion. As such U̶̲̥̅̊ can still see a very wide gap between Aregbesola and Yerima. The former reasons with logic while the latter is blinded by religion.

JaaizTech: In as much as you have many valid points but assuming that Morsi will turn Egypt to terrorist state is not only fallacious but unfair. What is the basis for this assumptionhuh A section of the people of Egypt, rose against Morsi primarily for two reasons:
1) He gave himself sweeping powers, somewhat like a dictator (His reasons, to strengthen his govt. against the remnants of Mubarak's loyalists, whom are still very strong and active)

2) The Economy was not doing not well.

The issue with Morsi was hardly about islamization of Egypt.

In 22nd November Morsi granted himself unlimited powers to "protect" the nation from the Mubarak-era power structure which remained in place and the power to legislate without judicial oversight or review of his acts, Protests broke out around Egypt in disagreement and on 8 December 2012, Morsi annulled this decree.

On 30 June 2013, mass protests erupted across Egypt calling for the President's resignation, following severe fuel shortages and electricity outages. This was followed by the army's threat that if the protesters' demands were not met by 3 July it would step in and build a road map for the country.

This is the summary of what happened in Egypt, It is quite unfortunate that in an attempt to legitimise the illegal overthrow of Morsi, many have attempted to accuse him of forcefully Islamising Egypt, which wasn't even the focus of the issue. The same tactic was used to overthrow Gaddafi, whom was an arch-enemy of the so called terrorist. In fact once the west does not feel comfortable with a middle-east govt., they simply tagged them with terrorism.

So the question that should be answered is if it was right to give Morsi 48 hrs to meet the demand of Opposition protesters, whom were bent on exploiting the avenue to get him out of power.

Lastly, let me say the word Islamization does not connote terrorism, havig a shariah inspired constitution implies that policies would not violate the Islamic Shariah, and in an Egypt with 90% Muslims, that wouldn't be an injustice, if they wanted it: Policies that may be affected include:

i) Banking (Only Non-Interest banking will be allowed)
ii)Sale / Manufacture of Alcohol may be banned
etc.

UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia are all countries that have shariah inspired constitution, and they are doing well.

Pls get 'ur facts right Morsi didn't reverse those decrees awarding absolute power to himself. And he wasn't doing it to protect Egyptians against Mubarak's apologists; he only did it to serve the interest of himself and his party MB. Looking at that, does it portray an image of someone who truly believes in the tenets of democracy?! He was fast becoming an authoritarian. His govt was alrdy becoming a draconian govt which was not inclusive of other stakeholders in the Egyptian project. Its is even fallacious to say that Egyptians would hv supported d sharia system just because majority are muslims. You've neglected the fact that a larger percentage of Egyptian muslims are moderate muslims just like in SW Nigeria while the rest uphold d strict form of Islam just like what we hv in some part of Northern Nigeria e.g Zamfara, Sokoto, Kano...etc. Most Egyptians are secularists who are against imposition of that strict form of Islam(sharia). Don't also forget that the Islamic world is divided btw the shiites and sunnis who hv totally opposite ideology about islam and the division btw them is worse than what we hv btw Islam and Christianity.

NJlapto1: They made a mistake huh? And thats why the Army can now eject the president because a batch of egyptians realised they made a mistake?...and then Morsi's supporters should all be tagged as terrorist and eliminated huh?

You know what maybe we should do that in Nigeria.
Jonathan was and is still a Mistake so lets have the Military boot him out and eliminate all supporters of his Retarded and Corrupt administration of incompetancy thats not improving the economy or the lives of any common man.

And i wont even bother to say anything about the crap you posted at the end.
ihimami: You should know by now how hypocritical some of us are in Nigeria, and as far as they are concerned the name Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is what they don't like to hear even though majority of Egyptians voted for them. Should Nigeria Military sacked this corrupt Jonathan gov't you see them calling for the break up of the country.

If it wasn't a mistake; then how do you explain the second round of demonstrations and protests that took place around Egypt especially at the Tahrir square which serves a symbolic place of true Egyptian revolution?! Look here get dis simple fact about Egypt; any demonstration that doesn't tk place @ Tahrir square is not a popular demonstration take it or leave it. And besides who told U̶̲̥̅̊ that democracy is the best system of government?! This has been proved wrong down history lane especially in Asia. Why can't US force down democracy on UK or SaudiArabia?! I've now realised that the US is inconsistent and confused about there international policies. Take Libya as an example Gadaffi has finally been vindicated; what U̶̲̥̅̊ nw hv in place there is terrorists in power; the US nw has paid dearly 4 dat with their ambassador that was assassinated and yet the present govt in Libya has refused to investigate the incident despite them fully knowing those who are responsible 4 d attack. Iraq and Afghanistan is another example the country is in total shambles after the democracy that was sold to them by the US. In essence it is time for US to start respecting the sovereignty of every country. Democracy doesn't connote legitimacy e.g Nigeria or Zimbabwe where the highest bidder wins election. The ultimate truth is that democracy cannot work everywhere around the world; every country has to fashion out the best system of government that best suites its need. And lastly the US should stop inciting more violence in Egypt with the kind of public display of support for the MB. These people are murderers and terrorists there history confirms that. Even their mere picture and mode of dressing is enough to convince anybody that these people are not truly fighting for democracy but they are just a group of extremists fighting for nothing but a religious course. My 2cents!
