Digging a leveled ground to fill up a river. The supposed leveled ground will eventually create another river gradually. All what am seeing is 1. increasing price of kerosene to increase revenue at the detriment of the poor who use it to cook. 2. Increasing fuel price to generate revenue, the poor masses also suffers. 3. Increasing diesel price to generate revenue, still the poor suffers. 4. Increasing import duty to generate revenue, goods and services increases cost and the poor feels the heat more. 5. If it's not revenue from diversifying this economy into producing goods and services to export it must have its ripple effect on the masses. Funny thing is non of these revenue generation methods does not affect the poor masses negatively. The average can manage to some extent which probably has not reached but will eventually feel the heat too. The rich and politicians don't even care as their money keeps flowing in. So eventually, all the revenue generated is impoverishing the average Nigerian and sending the poor to an early grave. These are the people the government is suppose to be creating policies to favor. When will there be policies for these set of people who accounts for majority of the votes in elections? How can you be indirectly taxing these people without giving them anything back but hardship? |
I noticed that since three weeks ago. Did transaction which was supposed to be 330 on that day two days later got an alert of 340. Since then am a little scared before they charge me 500 and tell me the rate is fluctuating. Bookiemart01: |
A chief of an armed force dominated by a particular region. You have never occupied any leadership position before. Come back and quote when your your the courserep of your class whether First degree or second degree. Kgdavid: |
blackpanda:He did not tackle corruption the way we want, yes but there are so many things in Nigeria politics that unless you remove hatred and see the individual as is, probably put yourself in that position with all the different indices present will you begin to understand it. If you have ever been just two of you supporting a particular football club in a beer parlor while the other 50 persons present was in favor of the other club, and it's getting late at night, you will understand what that man went through. |
In the nearest future all the voices saying evil and condeming GEJ will sing his praise and long for him again. He was not perfect but the fact that he invested more in the north than South I don't believe was his making. He is the best Democrat Nigeria has produced. I am personally still waiting for the EFCC, DSS, NPF, ICPC, NA and other tools used to fight corruption to tell me how much GEJ looted. BTW, there's a Local government chairman in that area who probably must have used the area to enrich his generation. |
He said the absolute truth. Maybe he will need to teach some of the well meaning National Assembly members cause probably their brain has not reasoned it upto this level. |
If GEJ will open up to tell you the persecutions and threats he went through in his presidency, you will dedicate your whole life singing his praise. Do you really think it was easy for him be amidst those who despise the South South and South East? Just imagine buhari who is even from the North that they want and voted in experienced budget padding, what do you think was happening to GEJ from SS. DamiBukola: |
Guess you don't have kids cause trust me they will be ashamed of you. I personally do not hate any individual or party but cant be bias on an issue that's glaring. If you think the government is performing and you want to show full support carry a placard of "Sai baba is working, till 2023 it's you" around the streets of lagos for two days and see if you will breath on the third day. dotedote: |
If only there were just five of him to keep this immaculate white government on its toes. |
That capital punishment will begin with all of you who have and currently occupying juicy posts and unleashing poverty to the masses. Must you increase the size of your pocket from oil? Mention any plans to diversify the economy you have suggested? what impact have you created in the lives of your people since you were made captain? What exactly was your take from the advent of bokoharam till now? |
If my humble opinion can get to Fayose, I will advise him to take his time even if it will involve using his money to make Ekiti state better and prepare himself for the next Nigerian president in 2023. He has shown to be the fearless among the chicken hearted buffoons who cannot condemn the ongoing acts in this nation. He is the next Mugabe when fearlessness is involved. ![]() |
CONFAMA: Did you bother to read or you just want to comment first? Every one of those allegations was carefully defended by the chairman with references and dates provided to even the understanding of a primary pupil. Thank Goodness he has records. Wonder if the current remote controlled freaks will keep such detailed records when their brains have been reprogrammed to take orders only from the immaculate white saints. |
T. A Orji should be the first name there. That man and his Son were on the brink of selling Abia State and his name was excluded? Hmmmm |
Grazing reserve in Abia State loading... |
IffaCatchYouEhn:Lwkmd.. Nairaland and funny people. |
A lot of propaganda and serious blackmailing is ongoing in this our immaculate white administration. I was not there when it was being shared nor when it happened and can't vouch for what I don't know but one thing is certain, this man knows the game EFCC and Co are playing on their victims and the only thing giving him courage could be the truth and the law. Every other chicken hearted fellow, guilty or not would have bowed and dined with APC so as to be spared but he keeps on poking the bee hive. That is the courage we all need for Nigeria to grow beyond expectation. |
If this is true then we are in a bigger TROUBLEM than we thought. |
I am smelling revolution very close. The rich still wants to be getting richer at the expense of the downtrodden. They have been very attentive to the huge amounts you guys have been wasting with nothing to show for. When this unrest begins, there will be no where to hide for you the leaders. Keep on pushing the poor masses to the edge and at the same time increasing their numbers as they get retrenched from their jobs. Even the western nation will deny you asylum cause they are and have been watching you. |
Abia State Governor is busy defending himself in court with worker's salary, Rochas busy decorating Imo state with worker's salary. Time will tell |
So of all the agricultural and poultry produce known to mankind that generate revenue, this government can't think of any to create employment and generate revenue? Of the heavy sunshine and wind wasting in the northern part of the country non of the state governments or federal has deemed it fit to look into solar or wind electricity generation to be independent of generation from gas, have constant power while attracting viable investments? Of all the fertile land in the south east known for growing palm trees and other produce no state governor has taken it serious to mechanise and massively plant palm trees to increase produce of palm oil and increase the IGR while creating more employment. The ifeanyi Ubah, Uche Ogah, Okorocha Rochas and all these acclaimed rich guys from the SW, SS and the North, must they only venture into crude oil products that is fast declining in price? All the professors and PhD holders are they only good in copying, changing values and publishing the same nonsense from already published work as international journal that does not even solve a single problem in the country? What exactly is happening to this giant of Africa, the envy of other African countries and the western nations? I can think of so many ways this economy can be revived with the money at their disppsal but I wonder what those at the top are using tax payer's money for. It's high time our senators, house of rep members and all those occupying political posts start paying about 50% tax on their salaries Mr Emefiele. Stop pushing these taxes to the poor masses while leaving yourselves from it. This country will soon be worst than Zimbabwe from what am seeing. |
Try taking a walk of atleast 30 meter in each state starting from the south west without any security guard and see how popular you are. If you come alive from the first three, then your more than still popular. |
All we do here is shout, insult fellow nairalanders and go to sleep only to wake up very early and start shouting and insulting again until we get to our birthdate & celebrate. When will the youths wake up and demand for what's right to be done in this country. It's so sad and painful when those who have the rights to demand for a better Nigeria only do it quarreling with each other online instead of using it wisely. If only the western world have social media at their disposal before the 19th century, we would have experienced heaven on earth this 21st century. Even bicycles would have incorporated aerodynamics in its model. The day youths from every part of this country will rise to a coordinated peaceful protest just within their respective states, I will know Nigeria is about to move to the next upper level. Until then, it's a descend. |
eleojo23:OK. It's outside the country. Thanks |
eleojo23:Pay to individual |
eleojo23:Please how can I pay to a PayPal account from my gtbank naira account? |
SirJeffry:Nwosu as I learnt is actually the one that has been going after the case from the onset and not ogah. He knew ogah is not qualified for the reasons mentioned above hence his relentless efforts in seeing the case to this point. Unfortunately, INEC rushed to mention ogah as the governor to be sworn in. This will make an interesting movie if nollywood can tap into it. |
Later he will come and apologize that he was wrong for not confirming the story. I dey watch |
ucheokpara100:Have you checked inbox of your registered email address? Try checking it. Messages I received were sent to my email address |
ucheokpara100:You topic is on the business section , so go to the front page (Home) , click on business from the options, scroll down to the bottom of the business section just before the advert area, you will see the monikers of the moderators (puskin, FOD, dominique etc.) for the business section and also the option of "mail the mods" to mail the moderators. Hope this helps |
ucheokpara100:Your welcome bro. Just remember if we are "One Nigeria" we must be our brother's keeper no matter the region or tribe. That's the way forward. If you will mail the Mods to delete the thread and you repost it differently maybe with the accused phone number (if possible) he will definitely receive calls from nairalanders to bear with you. Goodluck Bro. |
ucheokpara100:Don't intend to comment on this your thread but let me be plain to you. I don't know what your motives are for using "South East man" on your topic but it's very clear it's another dimension of promoting tribal hatred which is what Nigeria is struggling to correct. Why did you not use " My experience with a fellow Nigerian" and then ensure you don't mention any race or region in your post then watch the different opinions you will get from NL. Instead you decided to put your shoulders up as a saint that you are painting the region greedy expecting support of your claims and more hate speech to make you sleep well at night. Thank God they have known your intentions. Back to the "derailing topic", your issue is with your fellow man who probably may not be opportune to know NL to spill his own side of the business between you two. That you came here is probably because this issue has been settled by some of your friends there and it did not favor you, now you want to try him on NL in his absence. My advice is, settle your case with him amicably OR take up your case to the police so the two of you will have the opportunity to tell your story and the issue rectified. If it turns out both of you are there illegally doing illegal business, then deportation or jail is the best bet. Wonder what your doing in SA if you don't love money. And please don't tell me your a student. |
