I don't think u have to come back to nigeria.morever why didn't u apply directly instead of going through germany.most of the school in deucshland are free and they have the best economy in europe,so y moving around?may be if u give ur reason experience people in the house will provide u solution.

holuphisayor: pls,i need an advice on this issue,
I intended applying for an undergraduate course in germany and i'm hoping to get admitted as well but the main thing is what if after getting there i decided to change my school for another school in a different country entirely but still a schengen country. Will i have to come back to nigeria to get the other country's visa or i can simply apply for that in germany.thanks

I like this.have u live in benin before?skool in ekenwah road,live in g.r.a.its a two different wold.
alexray: My brother, U nor stay Abuja lol!!
Anything out FCT is not Abuja in a sense.

The places U mentioned are far frm development in contrast to FCT. Nyanyan is a border town btw Abuja & nassawara state. Mararaba is pure nassawara.

Imagine someone who stays in abaji & gwagwalada saying abuja is not fine!!! He is in abuja but not in abuja, if u know what i mean. Let me explain

if u've lived all ur life in aduwawa, oluku, all the uppers in benin(sakponba, mission, eweka etc),temboga etc U can say there is nothing magnificent in Benin but the person in GRA & its environs will have diff opinions!!!

kelly4top: If you see the way Nigerians are speaking Deutsche like say na their muttersprache. They make the things so easy. I admire them.
Here is important information for the house.....
...... ones you have converted ur 3 months visa issued from Nigeria to the residence permit the foreigners office will give you, then you can select a job. I use the word select because work full here die pass the people sef but u must have basic knowledge of German A1 language to do that.
......some guys i have met here earns up to 10-15 euros per hour and depends on how many hours u can work daily without affecting your studies.

...for football. i dont know yet but there are sporting facilities and football clubs in school. if u sabi play well ur star fit shine from there cos they might pick u if u go for good football competitions where u can meet people/coaches.

Transport is free here once u present ur students card during weekends. Like today i went to one African church in close by city and went on tour with my guys to different cities and no dime was paid on transport. only week ends oh. fry 7pm to sunday 11.59pm

Foods cheap here but meat cheap pass. but no better food oh except rice. 6 cups of rice is 0.89 cent. so so bugger and all those oyibo food. maybe with time i will get use to it but now egusi and okror dey hungry me die although u can get it in African shops if u get money to spend.

Lectures and professor here are so nice at least i have 2 yrs university experience in Nigeria and i can tell u that here they teach u to know it unlike naija where u will ask prof question he wil tell u to go and buy hand-out. Just see facilities and equipment everywhere. Practicals everywhere.. tell me why will u forget ...

The city people here are friendly and the weather is moderate unlike North which is very cold. most speak English in southern region here.

I wish u all successful trip to Germany the heart of Europe. Tope & Flange... i greet unua ooohhh. We go talk for whatsapp.

After scanning in abuja pls how many days were u sent ur passpot?was it upto one month before your your passport was sent to u?

Pls let's know.
Proudlygemini: I also just got married and about to do the change of name, went to the immigration officer that renewed my passport the last time and she told me it can only be done in abuja, even after so much pleas. I'm required to come with my marriage cert, passport photograph, old passport, newspaper publication. Althought the application would be sent from lagos, I have to go to abuja for scaanning and my passport would be sent back. I hope this helps, just visit ur nearest immigration office and I'm positive you'l be told the same thing.

newacca: another question Sir smiley Do you have the timetable? Do you have the option of choosing available days for ur class? I reside in Abeokuta at the moment and my biz is also base here. I wnt to shuttle btw Lag n Abk for this class, but on the timetable I only see:
Morning Classes: 8.30am - 2.00pm -2 times / week

Afternoon Classes: 2.30pm - 5.50pm 3 times / week

Evening Classes: 6.00pm - 8.30pm 4 times / week
I think I can go for the morning classes,if only I have options of choosing the days to suit my schedule huh
anybody with clue?
That's d issue,u can't pik days for them,it has been fixed that way,but one the lecturer told me
They have private class for busy people, mostly on weekend.I think dat one is under g tinz,by those lecturer,
Maybe that will be suitable for u.

u are all doing gr8 job. Kudos 2 u. Pls. where can I study German in Lagos?
The goethe institute of language,I will advice u to google it so that u will have more info abt them.

I am for the evening classes, and they are recognise worldwide as an offshoot of german embassy.

I just observe that it seems impossible to get admission with only nigeria olevel, expecially in a free tuition skool, cos of the fierce competition, and very limited space.

Bros no they worry ursef winter still far.start the german language now,by the time u want to apply u will already have A2 in german language then tell them in goethe institute that u need a letter frm them address to ur prospective school that in few months time ur B1 certificate will be out.
They will honour it,that's what a friend of mine did.moreover winter admission will start around ;une so start the language program now.preferably Goether institute in lagos island, they always respect and honour there letter.quote author=flange]@futurewise ... Please o I await ur response and please @ house I need schools I can study engineering BSC in English or english/German that I can apply for winter please every little contribution will be honored and accepted[/quote]
TravelRe: German Embassy And Visa by futurewise11(m): 11:18pm On Dec 11, 2012
flange: @futurewise , your previous posts you spoke about goethe institute. I intend to register in January, what is the lowest level I need to enable me qualify to study as an undergraduate in German + if the school I want to apply for is half English and German , how long will I hve to study to obtain a qualification from goethe becuase my focus is winter. Please expecting your response
It all depend on the skool requirement.if they require A2 for example its possible to get that and apply for winter session, cos its like 3month for each stage.A1,A2,B1,B2 etc but most school always require B1.but I imploy u to check the school requirement and contact there international office.
‎A̶̲̥̅♏ also going for january program as well, evening lecture since I work around there.

Hope to meet u there.
Do u reside on the island?
TravelRe: E-passport Renewal/extension by futurewise11(m): 11:07am On Dec 11, 2012
justwise: Did they tell you that its possible to do that? All i know is that you must go to Abuja to get any change in e-passport done, if i were you i will beg my boss for 2days off then travel to Abuja and get it done.
@justwise

Thx a lot.
The issue is that dis period its practically impossible to get 2 days off being our peak period.
My concern is if I can leave lagos on sunday night for abj and get everything done on monday(ie just one day).

Those immigration guys in lag says they will send all the document and do the processing only for me to go and do thumbprint in one day and leave abj for lag,den there contact in abj will send it to me in lag.

Pls mr jutwise and everybody, pls I need u guys credible advice on how to get it.

Thx

Y don't u look for schools that have exchange program with another university in canada, after few semester in germany then u cross over to canada through exchange program.where does vienna comes in?
If u decide to leave germany before a year to canada, what of the fund in ur blocked account, will u ignore 1.6m because of canada?
Pls think twice.

surecan: i will also want people here to advise me,i have admission to study in Canada for fall 2013 but also looking for plan B which is Germany for summer semester come march/April 2013,now if i enter Germany by march, can apply from there to Canada since the visa processing period in Vienna is within 20 days which means i can lodge my visa application by July since my school resumes in September, and my sponsor have all it take to provide for me since their embassy in Nigeria proves more difficult.Thank you

@all

Always contact ur school international office, don't rely on info u get on uni-assit that much.eaxh school have there own policy.so always contact them for more clarification.
If ur course is 100 percent english,u don't any german proficeincy certificate.
What u need is toefl, ielts or a waiver note frm ur school hod, ministry of education etc(at alausa in lagos its 10k).

If the course is 50 percent german and 50 englsh,u will nedd both german and english proficiency certificate.

But generally always make enquiry from the intl office, they reply promptly.
